We came here Sunday to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and she loves sushi and we were not disappointed. We had reservations and got seated immediately. Service was amazing and the ambience was really chill and nice. Since it was Sunday they had 50% off all Wagyu dishes. We went all out and tried quite a few dishes and they were all amazing and delicious. My daughter really loved all the fresh sashimi and nigiri and maki rolls. A5 wagyu New York strip came sliced and diced and it was melt in your mouth good. Finally we had the match crème brûlée which was really good and not too sweet very balanced. Had an amazing time and we will be back for some more Wagyu special!!!!
I spent my Valentines'/ Anniversary with my partner and it couldn't have been any more magical. Loved the food and the pairings with exquisitely made cocktails. Huge shout out to Chris for being an absolutely amazing manager and to Maverick for the amazing service you provided us with a busy evening on your plate.
This is by far the best sushi place I’ve had in Austin, well maybe EVER to be honest haha. I come here for every birthday and all my anniversaries. The food is absolutely delicious and I’ve never had an issue. The service is exceptional as well. That’s made up the other half of our experience. Lots of good people there. Faith is the most helpful hostess we’ve encountered at any restaurant, she goes above and beyond for us. If any of you end up going, ask for Mark he’s amazing at his job. He knows the menu front and back and he will recommend the best of the best. Give this place a shot, you won’t regret it!
TenTen in downtown Austin delivers an exceptional omakase experience. Each course was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and incredibly fresh. The progression of flavors felt intentional, highlighting the quality of the fish and the chef’s precision without being overdone. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, making the experience feel personal and elevated. If you’re looking for a high-end sushi experience in Austin, TenTen’s omakase is absolutely worth it.
I came to Ten Ten for my birthday and had the best time! We were seated right away, and I ordered one of their mocktails, which was absolutely delicious. I’ve been here many times before, but the menu has changed since my last visit. We were really hoping for a special hamachi dish they used to have, and the chef was kind enough to recreate it for us—it came out amazing! The Brussels sprouts were on point, and all the rolls and sashimi were fresh and delicious. The service was wonderful, and they even treated us to some shots for the table and a little birthday bite, which made the night extra special. Always recommend Ten Ten—such a great experience every time!
TenTen is my favorite restaurant in all of Austin. I’ve eaten here many times and utilized the happy hour menu mostly. If you like sushi rolls, the happy hour quality and prices can not be beaten. I’m not exaggerating when I say I was sick of eating sushi rolls until I came here. The rolls are unique in their own ways - I’d recommend trying them all except for the wagyu ones. Everyone I’ve brought to TenTen has loved it, and I think they deserved a much higher rating. Chicken karaage, miso soup, wagyu mini tacos are excellent as well. They used to have a spicy margarita with habanero infused tequila, which they unfortunately replaced.
PHENOMENAL service (and food!) here. We showed up 14 mins after our reservation and although we tried to call & no one answered, our table was given away. We were seated at a high top table instead, which we were disappointed with, however, our server Alex and manager Chris did an amazing job turning the night around for us. We were checked on often, had several appetizers & drinks covered, had a champagne toast brought to us, and even had their most expensive appetizer brought out to us. I truly have not seen service to this level. We were very impressed and grateful for a delicious free dessert as well. Beyond this, we love the vibe at TenTen and every single thing we’ve ordered here has been delicious. Highly recommend!
The staff was professional and courteous and the food was great. We went during happy hour on Saturday, which is rare for a restaurant to have happy hour in a Saturday. They have $10 sushi rolls, and other snacks items, $12 saki flight, and sandwich options available. The wagyu sando was delicious. I also got the raspberry matcha dessert that was great. We’re definitely going back.
I was visiting my friend who just moved to Austin and we were looking for a night out. We got in touch with Faith and she set us up with a reservation at TenTen. The food was so fresh and delicious! Presentation was beautiful, the waitress we had was super personable and recommended a sake to us that we loved! It’s a really cool vibe and ambience and we had a really great last night before I went back home. Thanks Faith for hooking us up! Would definitely recommend to come here.
We had a rocky start to our evening. But I won't talk about that because Chris the manager took the initiative and made it a wonderful night for my wife and me. Hamachi carpaccio was the highlight of our meal. The truffles with yuzu over the hamachi was divine. I've eaten a lot of food and my experience with truffles was truffle fries and I despise them. At the shaved black truffle provided a great earthiness to the fat of the hamachi. We also had their take on steak and eggs A5 wag you served nagiri style along with a quail egg wrapped in nori with more truffles yum. We followed that up with bluefin Totoro and bluefin otoro excellent. And we finished with hamachi Toro and uni topped with caviar. My wife decided uni is not for her it was her first time. I've had it before and enjoyed it but it reminded me of a recently bad experience I had with oysters up in Seattle so while I love the taste the creaminess was bugging me but that's personal. Staff was super attentive and like I said Chris the manager the service and the food more than made up for our Rocky start. This is easily one of the top sushi destinations in Austin. And when you do it at happy hour it's a steal.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would. My best friend and I were waiting outside of TenTen for an uber one night on West 6th and the manager was also taking a break outside after closing. He was so incredibly friendly and invited us back later on in the weekend when my other friend showed up, so, we gave it a try on a Saturday for happy hour. When I tell you this was THE best happy hour, I wish I could come up with a word better than “best”. My two best friends and I got a round of drinks. I personally love the Whiskymomo highball. We got wagyu tacos, 5 sushi rolls (the scallop roll. period.). The manager treated us to a few other amazing items for coming back. The staff were so friendly. This is a must visit, and it’s fun to hang out on west 6th after too! I will definitely be back!
Their happy hour was great! Nice place and great sushi but the servers were just in some sort of rush to clear the plates, I had last piece of sushi left and they asked for it to be cleared twice which felt weird also because it wasn’t even close to their closing time. Besides that, love the place and food!
A sleek downtown escape where modern Japanese meets urban polish. Fresh sashimi and nigiri, mouthwatering A5 Wagyu bites, plus inventive cocktails and top-tier. The vibe is relaxed yet buzzing just expect some noise on weekend nights. Easy 10/10 🫶🏾 The manager also checked in with my table which made me feel welcome.
Really great happy hour - $10 rolls & cocktails, $24 wagyu unique burger. The cocktails were delicious; I found the hibiscus spritz to be a little too tart so our lovely server brought some cane sugar simple syrup and sprite. The other drinks were amazing as is, I especially enjoyed the green tea cream soda (comes in nonalcoholic!) The maki rolls were all really good; I would say the flavor of the scallop was my favorite. It was earthy, fresh, and just the right texture (not too chewy). We loved the bold and rich flavor of the king salmon maki…the crispy Brussels sprouts pieces were an amazing touch. Hamachi was also good. The umami wagyu burgers were a highlight of an already great happy hour meal. The flavors complemented each other so well, and individual elements stood out in each bite. The ashes of my ex cheese was an amusing touch. Desserts were also good; the matcha creme brûlée was 😍😍😍. The raspberry yuzu nice cream is NOT ice cream, it’s a nice almost mousse texture and the toppings gave a variety of interesting pairings. Presentation was pristine for each dish. Service was fantastic. Definitely one of my favorite happy hours we’ve done here in Austin! ➕takes inkind!
Loved our evening at TenTen. We stopped by for an early dinner and were able to get in very quickly. The atmosphere is inviting, sophisticated, and classy but not pretentious. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. The tuna gyoza taco appetizer was delicious and expertly-prepared. All of the maki was fresh and flavorful. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Some of the best sushi in Austin. I can’t wait to come back.
Rating: 3.8/5 [dine in] Honestly an overpriced Japanese restaurant, and there are much better places in Austin. The small tapas-style plates for sharing add up quickly. We visited during happy hour with friends and also returned on a separate date night at regular pricing. Service is good and the ambiance is nice, but the food was just okay. I prefer Uchi or Uchiko over Tenten. The cocktails are also hit or miss. If you want to try this place, definitely go during happy hour. During happy hour, we tried the Hamachi, King Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Negi Toro, and Scallop Makis ($10 HH), and the King Salmon was my favorite. Kyoto Blush ($10 HH): A very sweet cocktail that tastes like it has no alcohol in it. Fig Old Fashioned ($10): Better than the Kyoto Blush and not overpowering. Sake Flight ($12): Comes with three 2 oz pours to sample - Nihon Sakari, Kiku Masamune, and Shiokawa Yamahai 'Cowboy'. I'm not a sake person, but think this is a great flight for beginners or for introducing someone to sake. Charred Edamame ($8 HH): I didn't get to try it, but the whole table loved it. Chicken Karaage ($8 HH): Good and worth ordering as an appetizer. Goto's Sakura Martini ($17): Tastes almost like straight alcohol with nothing sweet or floral about it. I could not get through more than a few sips. Yuzu Picanta ($17): Tequila, sake, pineapple, and yuzu. This tasted much better than the Goto's Sakura Martini. Daikon Pork Belly ($14): Interesting and worth trying. The daikon balances out the richness of the pork belly nicely. Wagyu Taco (2 for $24): Tiny, and reminded me of Toca Madera. Miso Roasted Beets ($14): One of their seasonal specials. Good, but not as amazing as our waitress made it out to be. My husband also had the A5 Wagyu Nigiri ($14), Uni Santa Barbara Nigiri ($11), Bluefin O-toro Nigiri ($12), Salmon Toro Nigiri ($5.50), and Hamachi Carpaccio ($28).
Food was great. Atmosphere super sexy, romantic, moody. Service was really kind of disappointing. Is that a thing now? Where the servers act like they couldn’t care less? Are people into that? It honestly kills the vibe for me. I love a server that’s engaged and excited about the food and experience. Maybe it’s just me. The food was actually really good though. Loved the cucumber salad. The rolls were cute and put together skillfully. All the fish tasted fresh and was pretty. The deserts were light and fun to eat. I’d totally go here again on a date, maybe we just had an off night? Parking is super tricky. I’d recommend a ride share. The garage nearby is expensive.
Parking - some street parking nearby, typical downtown area where it can be hard to come by if the area is busy. Came during half price Wagyu night on Sundays, with a reservation. Service was pretty slow even though there were only a handful of tables, and there were plenty of waiters walking around, so this is something that needs improved on. Food - Brussel sprouts - mediocre, there wasn’t a lot of flavor here. Wouldn’t get again. Overall rating 3/5. Chicken karaage - the chicken was cooked well and pairs well with the sauce that came with it. Would get again. Overall rating 4/5. Braised mushroom maki - this was probably my favorite out of everything that was ordered. Although a bit lighter, the mushrooms were cooked well and the flavor was there. Overall rating 5/5. A5 Wagyu maki - not bad, a little chewy. I would not get this at the full price. Overall rating 3.5/5. King crab & Texas Wagyu roll - this was the least favorite dish. It took a while to come out, and it just didn’t really come together. Overall rating 2/5. Grass fed Texas Wagyu tenderloin - good, also a bit chewy and larger slices. Overall rating 3.5/5. Raspberry ice cream - good, nothing all that special. Overall rating 3/5.
