Had a late lunch today about 2:30 PM. The place was not busy at all which was nice for us. If it were dinner time the noise level would be too much. Food for both of us was good, the server was pleasant and efficient with plenty to take home. For a first visit we were happy campers.
Finally a good Mexican restaurant close to home! Food was delivered to us in a timely manner everything was warm to hot and delicious! We all got chips and salsa on the tables. I got the egg battered poblano pepper meal, every time I get this out it's usually made beforehand and microwaved and it tastes like refrigerator, I don't think it was freshly made today but at least it was warm and tasted good it could of been hotter. The rice was flavorful and so was the beans on the side. We had eight people in our party so it was hard to keep us all happy with beverages. We did go without drinks for a while. We got pitchers of Margarita and they were delicious! All the staff was very nice and accommodating. We will definitely go back! In my opinion it is way better than the two other places in town hands down!
Our second time here and we are definitely going to continue coming back. Excellent service and food. We got Enchiladas Mexicanas and Burritos Supreme. Both were delicious.
Absolutely 💯 Authentic Mexican Cuisine. Do NOT overlook this place. It's excellent 👌🏽. Highly recommended !!!
Great food at reasonable prices, excellent service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. They brought out a little mini sombrero for my baby girl. Food came out fast & they have large servings, so I can usually turn it into two meals if I'm not super hungry. My favorite place to go for Mexican.
Met friends there. Wonderful place to eat and chat. Not too noisy. Everyone was very friendly, they checked on us often. The food was delicious, no complaints from anyone in our party. The prices were reasonable and so were the portion sizes. No one left hungry.
My husband and I had dinner at El Patron II for the first time tonight. It’s very pleasant inside and decorated nicely. Our menu choices (Shrimp Quesadilla and Jumbo Chimichanga) were DELICIOUS ! We will most definitely be back. The service was great and our waitress was friendly and helpful. Nice job. Great to have you in Burnt Hills!
Absolutely excellent! Margaritas are nice and strong. Had the beef quesadillas and both were great, super filling, and stuffed with tons of beef. If I could give 10 stars I would. Best local Mexican place!
The food was delicious! I got the taco trio to try a variety. The fish taco was light and perfectly seasoned, the carnitas had some of the most tender meat, and my all-time favorite was the Al pastor. Honestly, it’s the next day, and I already want to get them again! My boyfriend had the Texana fajitas with chicken, beef, and shrimp. He said he loved them and can’t wait to try more of the menu. They had a lot of staff, likely trying to prepare for anything since it was their opening day. Happy to have them in the area and can't wait to go again!
Best Mexican food outside Mexico. They know how to season things the right way. The only critique is that the music is a little too loud.
We waited a week before heading down to this excellent place. We were seated in minutes, and the music and atmosphere was incredible not gimmicky. The food was authentic and delicious and the servers were highly attentive to the tables needs. 100% will go again!!
James and I are grateful to have El Patron II in such close proximity. It is a reliable destination for great food, truly the Best Margaritas, and staff who are always kind and gracious. My faves include the Flautas, and Enchiladas Poblano; husband rarely orders anything but their Carnitas platter. Out!STANDing! Shoutout to Abel, perhaps the nicest server we’ve ever had… 💚🤍❤️
Great spot for lunch. Ground beef Baja tacos were perfectly seasoned. Shrimp was fresh! Great service as always.
The food was pretty good. I had the enchiladas supreme. I do prefer a lot of sauce, but it was still good! My husband had the supreme nachos, and he loved it! Our waiter was very nice! There are gluten-free items, and they are labeled!
The service & food here is great! Really enjoy the atmosphere too. 👌 Since their opening, we have had dinner there several times. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The waitstaff is pretty awesome, fun bartenders, great waitstaff, and the hosts at the door are always very welcoming. I get the impression the staff geneally enjoys being there. Sarah has waited on us several times and is awesome. At her recommendation, the Chimichanga appetizer is amazing and the Margaritas 🍹 are delicious and strong 💪. I would highly recommend stopping in for dinners, apps, drinks or all of the above. Really happy to see such a great establishment in the area!! Congrats to the staff and keep up the good work. A++
I love this place, one of the only restaurants I keep coming to.
El Patron is incredible! As a born and raised Texan, this place checks all the boxes for classic, high quality “Tex Mex”. The cheese dip (queso) is AMAZING. Margaritas are top notch. Can’t wait to go back!!!
The food was excellent! The portions were perfect and I would strongly recommend the mango or strawberry fresh limonade. Everything was hot and fresh. We are definitely coming back!!
Our family is so excited to have a great mexican restaurant near by. Everything from food to service to drinks was perfect. We ordered way to much food but are happy to have food to go!

Really good food all around. The guacamole is addicting. Tacos alambre delicious.

This is one of my to go to places. Lovely music that isn't too loud and you can have a good conversation. Margarita pitchers tasted lovely (got the blueberry flavor on the rocks). I like the choose 3 different taco option on the menu (Baja tacos and al pastor). The staff are kind to my toddler who loves walking around the restaurant before food arrives to the table. They have booster seats and high chairs. This place usually starts picking up a crowd around 5-530.
Our 2nd time to the resteraunt. Food was good and prices reasonable. Dinner the 1st time and lunch this time. Fajitas were excellent and enough for 2 meals
Great food! I had tacos Al pastor and my husband had chicken La parilla, we shared guac..everything was fresh and very flavorful. We will be back!

Food was delicious! We were there at a slow time of the day about 2:30 or so on a Saturday. So not quite lunch or dinner time. I figured the best time to go. Only two tables full when we got there and four tables when we left. I'm not sure how many wait staff on but our drinks were empty for a while and we waited over 30 minutes for the check. We were beyond ready to go. Cleaned up the entire table for them while we were waiting. Hopefully next time the service is a little better.
Went for dinner last night, my friend and I both had the choose 3 tacos meal with rice and beans. We both thought it was very good, however, rice was a little bland and neither of us liked the guac it had an odd taste. Whenever we’re out for Mexican, we always get guac and it’s always delicious so I’m not sure what they’re doing. Our server was excellent, very attentive. Nice atmosphere and feels spacious. It’s a new place so hoping they see the reviews and can improve on a few things. BTW margaritas were awesome! I would definitely go back and recommend you give it a try.
We had dinner here with friends a few weeks ago and really enjoyed our experience. This is a truly fun and beautiful place with lots to look at (including artwork on the tables and backs of the booths). It is definitely lively, but the noise level was reasonable and we were able to hear one another easily. Staff were very pleasant and service was fast. The food arrived pretty quickly. They stopped by to refill beverages, but mostly left us to enjoy our food and conversation. The food was very good - my favorite was the mini chimichanga appetizer. We also ordered the Fried Chicken Burrito and Carne Asada. These were good, but i am curious to try other dishes next time. The menu is huge and there are many other things to try. One in our party is a vegetarian and she loves how many options there are for her to pick from. Overall, this was a really good experience and I recommend stopping by yo try it for yourself.
food was very good and portions large (as usual w max food). prices tad high but value is good. Good service; food came quick and waiter vanished after which is preferable. music too loud. large parking. recommended.
Surprising experience. House chips & salsa, no flavor. Added Tajin from the bar to wake it up. Rice & Refried beans both seasoned very well. Chili poblano, nice amount of cheese & batter. Tad bit greasy. Sadly all the margaritas have sour mix except ‘skinny marg’
I had a good time at El Patron II. All in all I thought the food and atmosphere was nice. The strawberry margarita was great as were the chicken chimichangas. There definitely is a place for this kind of Mexican in the capital region but would recommend other places if you want a more authentic Mexican.
Best margaritas!! My entree was luke warm though so that was disappointing. Still a great place for chips ,salsa and drinks.

Food was above average. Atmosphere was nice but loud. Waiter was poor. Hard to understand and difficult to communicate with. Never wrote down order and my order was wrong. He never returned to see how we were until the end of our meal to give us our check. Check had 2'prices, 1 for credit card and 1 less expensive for cash. We paid cash but he wanted us to pay credit card price. Will try again but will not stay if he is our waiter again.
We got this last night for our anniversary dinner. It was not worth the 83$ we spent but it was okay. It was really liquidy, meat was dry and chewy, and I just didn’t enjoy it like I was hoping to. Also they didn’t home make the tortillas. They were store bought, so that was very disappointing.
Had the chill Colorado and it was not what my expectations were of chili colorado. Seemed like they sauted some chopped steak and tossed in some red sauce Which had an ok flavor. The rice was swimming in oil and the refried beans tasted funny. Wife enjoyed her chicken. Poblano dish though she thought it was odd to have the mushrooms in it and picked them out. All in all it wasn't terrible but was hoping for better after my first experience eating at the albany location.
Service was good as was atmosphere. Food was bland. I had chicken tex mex burritos Another in party supreme nachos and another quesidilla and 4th Tres tacos. All said was bland. Grand opening. Wait didn't need reservations. Maybe will try again after a month or so.

I got a taco salad. The tortilla bowl was good but I felt the salad was small. Average margarita maybe made with a pre bottled mix. Very loud. Made me want to leave early. Nice ambiance.
Food was ok, not great. My girlfriend's belly was not ok after eating here. We think it was the margarita mix, not the food nor the margarita quantity, lol. Chips and salsa were excellent. Enchiladas and tacos were ok, nothing to write home about. Servers were attentive. The place looks clean with lots of pictures. Not sure if I'll be back.

Takeout food good but COLD. We ordered online and the site gave us a pickup time of 30 minutes. I arrived after 25 minutes, and the food was ready but cold. It had been out for quite a while. The $9 Nachos were very skimpy, very soggy and cold, very disappointing. The enchiladas were good, but overall not doing takeout again. I also object to the website pushing for a tip on the takeout purchase. This just seems like greed.
Food was ok however, almost all of the staff we dealt could speak extremely limited English. They did not understand our order as well as omitted things that we ordered. We received one glass of water when we sat down and then nothing further. Our waiter was absolutely miserable and never came back to check on us at all. We entered at 4:45 and did not get out of the restaurant until 7:45 and the only reason we got out by then was because we keep hunting our server down. When we ordered dessert, he only brought out 2 of them (there were four of us). When we finally got them to bring the rest out, the Lava cake was a microwaved cake with no fudge like center at all. They skewered a cherry on top before they microwaved it so the plastic toothpick was melted. The restaurant was smoldering hot with no air conditioning on the side we were sat at. Needless to say we will not be returning.

My wife and I are from California. Since we moved here we’re always on the lookout for decent Mexican food. We’ve found a few places but by far this place was the worst. Atmosphere was fine. Service was great. The food was just not good at all. We’ve given this place two tries now. Hopefully they get better. We’ll never know.
Everytime I eat here I end up on toilette for two days. Prob just won’t eat here anymore. Gave them 3 chances everytime same thing. Writing this from the toilette.
Carried out food so bad I thought about driving 15+ minutes back to the restaurant to ask for a refund. Paid $20 for two medium-small steak burritos. The tortilla was seemingly raw and tasted doughy and bland. The “burrito” was packed full of overcooked chewy steak and virtually nothing else whatsoever. As whole it was bland and worse than something you could buy from taco bell. At least Service was fast and friendly, restaurant appeared clean and well kept.
Food was mediocre. Our server never came back after delivering our food. No refills, no check in, no offer of dessert. We finally got up and went to the hostess so we could get our check and leave. She giggled about it and called server over who was hanging at the bar. Wouldn’t go back.
Ordered takeout right off of their direct website. Chose delivery option. It said delivery would be at 4:08. Screen shot attached. At 4:50 I called because my food was not delivered and the guy on the phone said no one picked it up yet. I said I chose delivery on the restaurants website I didn’t use a separate delivery service. This of course isn’t the staffs fault, but why wouldn’t they call my number on top of the receipt to let me know it’s been sitting there for a long time? I asked to just get a refund and they said they’ll talk to the manager. I asked to just speak with the manager as I paid a bunch of money and I wanted to make sure the refund would be made. They said the manager wasn’t there. When I asked when he would be in, they said I don’t know. So I went and picked it up anyway, and all 3 staff member were gathered around my food on the bar. As soon as I walked in I simply asked for my $5 delivery fee back that I had paid and they all looked at each other and walked away. The one guy came back over since I wasn’t going to leave and he gave me the $5. Food is ice cold. I reheated it myself, and it has absolutely no flavor. Not even worth the hassle. Don’t think I’ll ever go back.
We are from California and Texas and have tried looking for quality authentic Mexican food. The food here was not prepared properly and had a very bland taste. The rice was horribly bad, tasted like Rice O Roni. It really needs a Quality chief to redo the menu and show them how to cook real Mexican food.. You don’t need to try to hard just do it right. Music was loud and totally wrong for a Mexican Restaurant. Suggestion: Vintage sounds from Mexico to give your customers a welcome and to enjoy their authentic meal. The atmosphere felt like a kinder garden room in Mexico City. Too much color in all the wrong way with appliqué on the booths was tacky in my opinion. Our Top Shelf Drink was excellent but that was our only highlight of the evening.
