Update July 23, 2025 Former local Azusa hole in the wall and happy they found such a great big modern location. Part of their allure was their really great prices. Sometimes you want really good bbq for lunch or quick snack but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg. In those situations, Love fit that bill perfectly. Prices are still more than fair, especially their lunch special and food is still good, but have to admit there is better bbq out there. Service was quick and attentive given there was only one person working up front. Will definitely be back as it’s still close enough for that quick lunch or snack. ——— Craving BBQ and wanted a bit of everything, beef rib, pork rib, and chicken. Went with a rib meal and chicken snack and happy I did. Everything was delicious. Way too much food for one person though, which I knew, but love me some leftovers for the next day or two. Meat already comes sauced, so I didn’t add any extra on round 1. Round 2 decided to try a little extra and bam, took it to another level. The sauce is a sweet vinegar based sauce and was amazing. Will make sure to ask for even more extra sauce on my next trip, cause I can drink that sauce straight!!

The new location is spacious, has lots of parking (old location lacked both) , the food has the same fall off the bone meat and tangy bbq sauce. There is indoor and outdoor tables, indoor diner style seating and barstool seating as well, soda machine is old school cool but that means no cherry Coke Zero , just regular Coke Zero . Had the lunch special (albeit, after hours, so paid regular price) with a chicken leg and thigh plus 4 pork ribs, coleslaw mashed potatoes and gravy and a bun add a drink and it came to $28 (as of 12/14/2024). Loved it, will repeat for sure. PS: nice bathrooms and it’s a good thing cause I got the sauce on my fingers and it was yummy but needed to wash hands. PPS: there are cakes available but after my generous portioned meal, I had no room for dessert.

My husband and I LOVE this place! The husband and wife who own this place are so humble and genuine. They recently relocated and the new place is so nice! Way more spacious, cute for a little date night bbq. The food is so freaking good! It's worth the price 👌🏼 oh, and plenty of parking.

Since I was in the area (well, it turned out I really wasn't, cuz I ended up driving 25min out of the way!), I wanted to make a stop to @lovechickenandribs!! Every time I go to the area, I rave about how back in the day, old friends and I would eat at their original location across from APU!! Of course it was much cheaper then, but it's still as much a bargain today as it was back then! And the amazing great flavors are still there and nostalgic as ever!! NOTE: Come check them out SOON, as they will only be at their current location until September (new building mgmt) and are currently looking for a new location!

This is my 100% go to every Thursday for dinner. It’s really hard to find anyplace that has beef ribs, but this place has them perfectly cooked and Full of Meat!!! This is a definitely a must got to if you’re looking for Great BBQ. The staff are very friendly too. This place is The Bomb!!!!! See you on Thursday!!

This place is my favorite bbq restaurant 😋 over 20 years They changed their name and ownership but still the same sauce same taste. The only thing I don't like about is that there's no public restroom!

I love love love chicken and ribs! I've been coming for years! Meat just falls off the bones! Lunch special all day long. Great price, great service. This is their second location. If your skeptical it's at least worth that first try. You won't regret it.

This nostalgic restaurant once was on Alosta with other family members who ran that location for decades. When they closed my family was at a loss with all the memories of family we dined with growing up. When I found the Azusa location I was ecstatic, I literally saw the picture of their food and recognized it immediately for Love Chicken & Rib. Very small location and far for me to drive and was still able to make it there for closing time from work. When I saw that the location was closed, I was very sad again, and then driving to a job. I came across their new location on Sunset. Again I was over the moon that they were back and were able to acquire a deli type location which provided a beautiful setup for a new restaurant. As stated with many posts, everything is great, coleslaw is made in small batches making it just home cooked quality. I’ve seen some mention the fact that the ribs are pre-cooked, if they knew the history the first restaurant had a drive-through with a line of five all the time to pick up chicken and ribs. Obviously the ribs would need to be pre-cooked to be able to accommodate such demand. The owner has a family with sons so I always call before. Make sure they’re open because life is unpredictable with young children. I can’t say enough for how much I love this restaurant and its food and all the memories from when I was a child in the early 90’s at the Alosta location.

Small straight to the point menu. But a small menu means they have the ability to do it all right. Ribs were tender, bones slid right out of them, mashes potatoes excellent, rice and gravy fluffy. My only complaint isn't really a complaint, but they were out of corn, then shortly after mashed potatoes, simultaneously we did come close to closing, so on us.

MUST GO!!!! One of the best restaurants ive been to in a while fresh, delicious, and affordable, took my family there based of there reviews and we where not disappointed at all, the chicken falls of the bone everytime and the rice and gravy is so delicious you could honestly eat it as its own dish and dont forget about the RIBS!!! So delicious amazing flavor huge portions and so tender, im definitely going to be a regular at this spot. Worth every penny Definitely give them a try and you'll see what im talking about.

The beef ribs were good off the bone I wish thay had Mac and cheese it's all good though when I need ribs thay got them till thay sell out prices are up there 3 bones and mash potatos and fries are $30+ good new location with lots of space and clean atmosphere restrooms are clean and there soda machine are also clean and there ac unit is on point it's nice and cool in there

First time here. Fantastic find for sure. Ordered the beef, pork ribs with a chicken. Tasted great! Very tender, lots of flavor. Had mashed potatoes with gravy and my wife had the rice with gravy. She enjoyed your meal very much. I highly recommend that you try them out. You will become a regular!

Food to expensive, 2 ribs and 1 biscuit $20...won't come back here...$1.50 to use debit card. Store-bought rolls, look at photo....Do you see these ribs?, do you see any meat on the bones? this is how it came.. this place is a rip-off.

No fountain refillable drinks. It’s only for display. The crew lies and says that the fountain drinks will be repaired in the next 3 days but no it’s not. They only offer in can, bottled water. Stingy to spare money for repair. They will not give even if you ask for ice in cup. The beef ribs is not that good. Place has no customer courtesy. The 8pm store closing schedule posted online is not true they close at 7pm. You need to beg to stay and it if you got here 10 mins. before 7pm. Frustrating, not so friendly.

I spent $25 on a lunch entree ask for extra gravy and was asked for $3.50 for the extra gravy. I was willing to pay a dollar the most a dollar fifty but at $3.50 I had to draw the line.. thought he was being excessive and didn't like how he came off about it. Gravy nazi
