Wednesday night blues jam is my favorite night there, always a friendly crowd and great food from the cast iron grill---Jakes is a great venue with the backyard patio, best setup around, it's great any day/weekend to check out.

The live Wednesday night jam session was great. Nothing fancy but great music and a very nice crowd. Look forward to returning.

We love this place. Very private, well kept and everyone is friendly. The food at the Cast Iron Kitchen is very good. We'll be coming back for sure.

Run the pool tournaments Mon and Thurs 8 pm w/ a calcutta some really good players so come thirsty and ready to play might even get a little action afterwards

Great place to go and have a great time friendly people always and bartender is always on point also if you enjoy a good pool game they have great tournaments on Monday and Thursday well worth making time to play

Great place, great staff, drinks are quick as well as food. The regulars are very nice and there is never a dull moment here.

Amazing clientele, great live music on Wednesday nights, nice drive out there from San antonio, cheap beer, great food, also YOU CAN SMOKE INDOORS. That's huge.

I love the fact that Susan s been having liveusic via Blues Festival for years and regular gigs. The people enjoy the music and musicians get to earn money for their hard workon their respective instruments. It was awesome to be included again this year. I had a good time again

I give Jake's two thumbs up and five gold stars! Clean restrooms, big burgers, and kid friendly! Jake's is the best bar and grill in the hills! The food is good and drinks affordable. And some of the best pickers and songwriters in Texas play at Jake's. Downside: Not much room for dancing and they don't stay open until 2am like most bars around. Best part: But it's family friendly atmosphere makes up for it and in my opinion sets Jake's apart from the rest.

When I used to go to Jake's, it was in Pipe Creek at the first location. Had a great time watching the Sand belt races out back!! Always a good vibe with friendly bartenders and locals.

We went to the Candy Road Icehouse Band concert outside. They had food trucks and cold beer for those who wanted it. I believe they had a crayfish boil earlier in the day. The band sounded great! The people that were stationed at the beer stand noticed we didn't have seats. So the young man brought us some!

My family and I love to eat at the picnic tables outside and we stay at the RV park every time we have a free weekend. Everyone is so friendly and it's a perfect place to chill and unwind!!

My family and I love to eat at the picnic tables outside and we stay at the RV park every time we have a free weekend. Everyone is so friendly and it's a perfect place to chill and unwind!!

I know the crew pretty well, so a good time is aways in the making. It's growing nicely and well appointed, beer is still COLD.

It's a decent bar with a friendly atmosphere. They don't serve liquor, only wine and beer and they play mostly country music. They did have a live band however. And the bartender was really cool and fast about getting your drinks.

Run by white trash!!! I would never ever go in there or recommend anyone waste there money on this place they call a bar. The lady that so called runs the bar just laughed as a lady fell on the floor twice and hit her head really hard and all she could do was laugh... Just drive the 12 extra miles to Bandera and go to 11th street bar where it’s not run by toothless trash!

Cigarettes smoking is allowed in this establishment, but it was like Wow could of swore they were smoking a brisket in this place, with cigarettes. Nevertheless friendly place with good service. I have been to the original Jake's when it was located in Pipe Creek, TX a few years ago and the atmosphere was very pleasant and the food, drinks and service was excellent. Sadly, this new location in Polly Peak, TX did not seem to impress me at all. I went to the Wednesday Night Jam last year in December with a friend of mine and it was a complete disaster because I tripped and fell down on their poorly leveled concrete floor which badly bruised my left knee. This is not the first time this has happened to me but it has happened before. So after taking two tumbles and getting badly injured and bruised up on your concrete unleveled flooring during my last visit which was very disappointing, I will not be returning to this establishment for a while.
