We stopped at this restaurant almost by chance on our route, and what a great discovery we made. A very good weekend menu with a good variety of dishes. We also ordered à la carte, and the value for money is very good. It's reminiscent of Grandma's cannelloni, the salad, and the grilled pig's trotters. To finish, we can't miss the spectacular Catalan cream. From now on, it will be a must-stop on our trips to Catalonia.

Restaurant on the outskirts of town, worth going in, the atmosphere inside is very pleasant and above all the staff is very friendly. They have simple and very good quality cuisine. They gave us two menus to choose from, the one of the day for 16 Euros, and a seasonal calçotada for 38 Euros that includes grilled meat. Super good price for a calçotada. We opted for the menu of the day. The escudella, with ball, stands out, I have rarely tasted such a good one in a restaurant, I was positively surprised. The meat is very good and you can tell they have a grill. They take reservations and it is better to do so, it was a Monday and it was full. We were very happy, I recommend it and I plan to go back.

Great place, just outside of town. We came across it by accident as we had decided to get off the main road in order to have some lunch. We had no idea what to expect and not much experience of Spain, but this place was a great discovery. The menu was varied and the cooking great. Spanish and Catalan were the only languages, really, but the staff were very friendly and eager to help. The menu is accessible online through a QR code in multiple languages, but it seems to depend on some kind of online translation, as some of the dishes were impossible to understand from the translation (home-style canneloni was translated as 'grandmother's gutters) :) ). Not much vegetarian on the menu, but - again - the staff was very helpful and got the kitchen to prepare something for the vegetarian in the party. All-round a great experience.

Maravilloso restaurante con comida casolana pero con un toque de calidad inigualable! La especialidad son los caracoles a la llauna, y aunque yo no soy gran fan, tengo conocidos que dicen que es el mejor sitio dónde los han probado. Trato excelente y los dueños super enrollados!!

Merece la pena desviarse para comer aquí si tu ruta pasa cerca. Buena comida y personal muy amable. El local está decorado combinando los años 70 con toques modernos. El precio no es económico pero la calidad de los platos es muy buena.

Hemos llegado a este restaurante por casualidad y nos ha sorprendido bastante. El ambiente es muy acogedor y los camareros muy amables. El servicio ha sido muy rápido y hemos comido bastante bien. Os recomiendo su patata brava, está exquisita y muy diferente de las típicas bravas.

La comida espectacular y el servicio súper bien, lo único que nos cobraron como 30 céntimos más en cada plato. Deberían actualizar los precios de la carta porque no coinciden con los de la cuenta. Por lo demás genial 😄

Restaurante ubicado en la entrada del pintoresco pueblo de l'Albi. Se puede comer en la terraza que tienen en el exterior o bien en su agradable comedor. La carta es variada y diferente. Los platos son generosos y elaborados, además de presentados con gusto. El personal es muy amable, y aconsejo a los indecisos dejarse asesorar por ellos a la hora de elegir plato porque no defraudan con sus sugerencias. Recomiendo llamar para reservar si es posible porque creo que suele estar bastante concurrido.

If you're looking for a place to eat well in L'Albi, Ca La Margarida is an option that won't disappoint. With a 16-euro menu, they offer well-presented and delicious dishes that will leave you satisfied. The staff is also excellent, very friendly and professional, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a place to return to.

Stopped here by chance as it was in the road we were on, and it was the only place that looked open for lunch. We were welcomed professionally, and ate very well. My friend had the set, three course menu with rabbit as the main course. I had squid from the menu. Good value, authentic Catalan country food. Other customers were locals, no other tourists, which is a good sign for me. I would be happy to return.

Good, tasty food. Friendly, professional service. Nice surroundings. We enjoyed our menù del dia and felt very comfortable with the welcoming staff. A nice place to enjoy a meal while staying at the excellent motorhome aire and relaxing in the village for a day or two.

We made a reservation well in advance for this year's Les Garrigues gastronomic festival. They had a special set menu for this period, but they didn't ask if we wanted the tasting menu when we made the reservation. When we asked for it, they told us we should have let them know beforehand since they had to prepare it specially because it was very "elaborate." I don't understand why they participate in this type of event with this attitude. The dishes they ultimately served us were nothing special, and I found them quite expensive. The restaurant's ambiance is rather neglected; we were separated from another couple only by a kind of shelf with some decorations. I was very disappointed with the restaurant.

Tomadura de pelo...O quizás leyendo otras críticas no elegimos el dia adecuado.. o bien quizás debe ser que no tienen competencia en L'Àlbi. Relación calidad / precio desastrosa al menos en fin de semana: Un único menú de 30 €!!! (Encima cpn suplementos), era como un menú de 12 o 15€... pero de 30€ los sábados. La mitad de los platos estaban agotados (y eso que llegamos a las 14h). Una silla estaba rota y casi se cae una persona mayor que nos acompañaba al sentarse. En el aseo de hombres .. no funcionaba la maneta d'entrada, la cistena rota, el jabón no existia, se habia acabado el papel... evidentemente sucio. En resumen es una pena viajar por la zona y encontrarte locales así. .

Foodies weekend break with a birthday celebration. We all checked the reviews and they were promising, unfortunately our expectations were far from what we experienced. First, they told us we couldn’t get the set menu (available in most Spanish restaurants) because we didn’t book it in advanced which, we already found unusual as that’s never the case anywhere. Service slow, plates removed when others were still eating, food wasn’t hot, waiter didn’t know why some dishes came without garnish. After asking to heat up the duck (we assumed microwaved due to the aspect) it came back placed on a cereal bowl with juice dripping from the Margret…awful!! We handed out birthday candles and they told us they were broken (coincidentally) and replaced it with very used one. Prices excessive when you take into account the poor quality. I will admit they make a flavoursome lamb shoulder. Aside of that, it was a very disappointing experience for the six of us. Will not recommend it.

An awfully shameful experience. As a vegetarian, I felt like they were doing me a favour. It was a local Christmas festivity in Catalonia, I had come to visit my family and it was a bittersweet lunch. I had macarroni with canned tomato (which was almost like a favour the staff did for me) and grilled vegetables. I was offered soup and when it came, it turned out to be chicken soup. Even though my mom had called two days prior and told them I was a vegetarian and they reassured her and told her there was vegetarian options and alternatives. Yes, there are vegetarian options, but on a local festivity I'm not willing to eat grilled vegetables and canned tomato with macarroni (even though they said it was not canned, I can even tell you the name of the brand). Would absolutely not recommend, a petty lunch with an expensive price. Pd. : No comment on the owner's impertinence in their response. Speaks for itself.
