El mejor restaurante japonés de Barcelona y muy diferente. Sobre todo recomiendo los hand rolls, volveré para probar el de wagyu😋 El nigiri de calamar espectacular también. Lo único que me decepcionó un poco fue el nigiri de salmón con foie y trufa, ya que prácticamente no tenía foie y le faltaba sabor a eso.

Una experiencia espectacular. Pablo es un gran cocinero, todo lo que prepara lo hace está impresionante y te acompaña en toda la experiencia dándote consejos y explicando cada plato. Recomiendo los nigiris más que los handrolls.

Fuimos a cenar y para dos personas nos pedimos 2 menús de 4 handrolls, dos nigiris de toro (delicioso), 2 handroll de cangrejo, 1 handroll de anguila y unos edamames y tempura de langostinos para picar. Acabamos llenísimas aunque compartimos un mochi de tarta de queso de 10. Nos atendió Damián que no pudo ser mas encantador y profesional. Nos iba explicando cada roll y la recomendación de si tomarlo con o sin soja. Sin duda un lugar ideal para degustar un sushi de calidad, con una vista a la cocina que le aporta un extra de experiencia unica.

Espectacular! El sushi increíble. Mucho sabor, se nota que lo preparan con cariño y saben lo que hacen. Además te sientas en la barra y puedes ver como lo preparan y cuando te lo sirven te dicen que es. Atención de 10 y el camarero nos dio recomendaciones

Buenísimo todo y el servicio excelente! Lo más bueno los Nigiris, pedimos el de anguila que no estábamos seguros por llevar cacao y impresionante. Los de calamar, vieira, salmón y gunkan wagyu también muy buenos. Los handrolls estaban buenos pero no eran lo mejor en mi opinión. La sopa de miso también muy buena! El sashimi de hamachi un pelín soso. En general buenísimo todo, recomiendo 100%

Segunda vez que venimos y hemos vuelto a alucinar con la fusión de sabores y la calidad del producto. Felicitaciones a Yana preparando la delicia de sushi y a nuestro amigo Andoni por su excelente trato. Salimos muy contentos y satisfechos con la cena.

Maravilloso descubrimiento para los amantes de la comida japonesa. La calidad del producto se nota en cada bocado. Personal encantador y que hacen que la velada sea aún más redonda. Especial mención al nigiri de toro (espectacular), la tempura de langostinos y el hand roll Ika. Por poner alguna pega, los de vieira tanto el hand roll como el nigiri les faltaba sabor y el nigiri de salmón llevaba algún encurtido que tapaba demasiado el sabor del salmón para mi gusto.

Acabamos de salir de Akiro y todavía estamos hablando de la cena. De esas veces que no es solo “hemos comido bien”, sino que realmente ha sido una experiencia redonda. Lo primero: qué nivel el chef Ananta. Espectacular. Cada plato tenía intención, equilibrio y un punto creativo que sorprende sin perder elegancia. Sabores limpios, combinaciones que encajan a la perfección y una ejecución finísima. Se nota cuando alguien cocina con técnica, pero también con alma. Hubo varios momentos de literalmente mirarnos en plan “vale, esto es otro nivel”. Brutal. Y luego está el servicio, que para mí marca muchísimo la diferencia. Marc y Gabi hicieron que la experiencia subiera todavía más. Cercanos, atentos sin ser invasivos, súper naturales explicando cada plato y recomendando con criterio. Ese equilibrio perfecto entre profesionalidad y buen rollo que hace que te sientas cuidado pero relajado. Nos hicieron disfrutar aún más de la cena, y eso no siempre pasa. El ritmo fue perfecto, el ambiente acompaña, y se respira esa sensación de restaurante que sabe muy bien lo que quiere ser. Salimos con ganas de volver y de recomendarlo a todo el mundo. Si buscas una cena especial, con cocina potente y un trato que suma de verdad, Akiro es un sí rotundo. 💛

Honestly the best sushi I’ve ever had. Yana was our chef, and each dish was immaculately prepared. Everything was great, but my 3 favorites were all nigiri, the squid with miso butter was #1, salmon premium was #2, and #3 the toro premium (not on the menu, you have to ask for it) Second time there, can’t wait for the 3rd.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, it truly felt luxurious and premium. The restaurant is stunning; our only regret was not being seated at the bar to watch the chefs’ mastery in action. We ordered the calamari, premium salmon nigiri, tuna and sea bass wraps, and the tuna tartare, each dish was exceptional. We especially loved the Spanish twist on the Japanese flavors. Our meal was perfectly complemented by a pisco sour and a glass of white wine, which elevated the experience even further. We highly recommend booking a table in advance.

This cozy, stylish spot serves up Nikkei-style hand rolls with amazing flavour and a warm, welcoming vibe. They don’t take reservations, so make sure to arrive early—I waited around 45 minutes, but it was well worth it. I ordered 5 hand rolls, plus the crab hand roll and a gunkan anchovy—every single bite was delicious! The service was excellent—from the receptionist to the servers and the chef, everyone was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back again for another round. Highly recommended for sushi lovers in Barcelona! 🍣✨

It’s been months since we went to Akiro, but I still haven’t forgotten the spectacular experience we had. They seated us at the bar, and although it might seem a bit uncomfortable at first, I highly recommend it. Watching them prepare the food right in front of you and getting to eat it immediately is incredible. And if you’re as lucky as we were, the chef will explain each piece—the ingredients, how it’s made, how to eat it, etc.—to make the experience truly exceptional. I highly recommend starting with the prawn tempura, and definitely try their hand rolls — they’re unique! And you can’t go wrong with any nigiri you order from their menu. You can really tell the ingredients are top quality, and the service is a 10 out of 10. I had never tried cuisine that combines traditional Japanese dishes with a touch of Peru. We just couldn’t stop ordering! It’s the perfect place to celebrate special moments.

Delicious sushi with unique flavors. *GET THERE EARLY* - They don't take reservations and open at 8pm, even on a Monday night the line was long and not everyone got seated. We loved the ceviche, the Viera hand roll, the Acevivhado hand roll, and the Gunkan Tartar de Wagyu was worth every euro. Also the salmon sashimi melted like butter in our mouths.

Everything about this place made our wait 100% worth it! The atmosphere, the service and of course, the sushi. Our chef, Paola, was amazingly skilled and very personable. She shared with us what each piece was that she was placing on our board and how to enjoy it. When I say you will not be disappointed by the freshness and flavor of the dishes being served, I mean it. Each piece is uniquely curated with ingredients that are unexpected yet blend so well together with the fish: from fois gras to truffle pate to chocolate - yes chocolate!! Each bite was heavenly! The cocktails were also amazing and paired well with the dishes that we had! If you're looking for sushi while in Barcelona, this is the place to go!

The ambiance and service at Akiro were absolutely excellent, creating a refined yet welcoming dining experience. The food was overall very delicious and beautifully presented. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but the quality of ingredients and attention to detail stand out. If I could suggest a couple of small adjustments: the chocolate pairing with eel didn’t really work for me, and the background music could be just a touch lower to make the atmosphere even more comfortable.

Akiro has a great atmosphere and excellent service. However, despite what the name suggests, the hand rolls were actually the weakest part of the menu. The sashimi quality is very reasonable for Spain, especially for the price, and the nigiri captures the fusion style the restaurant aims to deliver. Overall, it was a nice dinner. I’d return, but I wouldn’t order the hand rolls again.

Espera de 1h y media para poder cenar ya que no aceptan reservas y una vez se llena el comedor te quedas fuera. El único plato destacable fue la tempura de langostinos. El tártar de atún bastante mediocre e insípido. Pedimos una selección de nigiris de la cual sólo destacaría el de calamar y vieira. Del resto de comida que probamos nada destacable. El local es bonito y el ambiente acogedor, sin embargo se nota que quieren despacharte pronto y los camareros van a saco con las comandas para intentar levantar la mesa lo antes posible.

I am very mitigated for this review as I was super excited to come here for my Birthday! The food was delicious but geez the service was horrible. Except for the blonde (natural blonde) that was super kind and awake, the others were really not on point. We had to ask several time for the wasabi and ginger then the server gave it to the table next to us even though they had the wasabi already. He gave us the wasabi and forgot the ginger. Part of our order was missing. They added a dessert into our bill. I mean nothing was working it was really messy. Please wake up for the service as this make us not wanting to come again!! :(
