The food really is very good here. Huge selection of good quality at the buffet and the meat served at your table is perfectly cooked. The lamb was insane! Nice music in the background, friendly staff. A very good experience and would highly recommend.

This place was definitely worth the visit. I had the fish option, my partner had the meat and our 3 year old just had the buffet (free for under 5s anyway). Good range of food, the fish plate( you just get the one plate, then you can choose from the buffet) was really good! And the meat comes round and you say if you want that one or not, my partner said it was some of the best meat he has had! We will be visiting again!!

The best place 💕I been there twice , no complaints food perfectly seasoned, salad side massive … to be honest it much better than Estabulo… flavour, price, friendly staff. I highly recommended.

Amazing selection of meats, but the star of the show is the steaks! We have sirloin, Brazilian and rump steaks, cooked to our liking. Buttery melty fat and tender well seasoned meat. The cold buffet has some good options too. This was my first time having medium rare steak since being pregnant and it was devine. The staff are lovely, and the music creates a great atmosphere.

This place got highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The staff were lovely. The salad bar was phenomenal. It wasn't just Lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes etc. There was so so much variety. I was in my element, as I absolutely love different types of salad. And the meat was so nice, and tender and juicy. We all said we're definitely coming back. Thank you guys!

Fitted us in last minute on a cold and wet Saturday evening. The food was great, the staff friendly and helpful and the coeliac in our party was well catered for - they even made her fresh fries and cheese bread to prevent cross contamination! Would definitely recommend.

Food was nice, bits of everything, only downside you wait for the meats to come for you, so if you have rice and you have to wait till meat comes and it goes cold, other than that can't fault it. Lovely staff, reasonable priced drinks. Will be back on special occasions

We googled and Favela has excellent reviews so we stopped for their buffet lunch on our way to N Yorkshire. We were definitely not disappointed. Food was excellent, wide tantalising variety to choose from. I just enjoyed trying different dishes. Their bbq meat was cooked with love and to perfection. The staff were friendly, welcoming, very hospitable and provided first class service. Only 10 mins off the M1, easy to get to. Highly recommended. Thank you very much for making our eating experience pleasurable.

Oh I do love this place! My second time here and definitely won't be the last! The food was beautiful! The selection of the salad bar is huge! I'd be happy to pay just to get stuff from there haha but the meat is what we come for! And it was gorgeous! Glad they have a great selection of meats that are cooked rare! And you MUST try their grilled pineapple! So make sure you leave some space for it in the end! 😁 The staff are wonderful too, always smiling always there if you need anything! We came near the closing time and we were the last people in there eating and they asked us a few times if we are happy and would we like them to bring out more of our favourite meats. Make sure you come hungry, because you will leave bursting at the seams! 😁

Our first time experience in that place was just awesome. Everyone so kind and cheering. Explained everything, and really took care of us. Salad bar always full, and fresh, with a lot of yummy stuff (salads, veggies, lots of different cheeses, pickles, etc). Meat served every few minutes, lot of different types, so you really can choose what you like. Even children can enjoy this place- our 5yo son loved the food, and he have been happy about salad bar where he could find someting for him. Alcohol drinks so yummy. We visited this place for small family birthday dinner. We saw, how staff treat other "birthday table"- they sang and play happy bday song bring cake with candle. I don't like so much attention, and I have been so surprised when I received surprised cake with candle, and quiet happy birthday 💗 i don't know how they figured out that I don't like fuss, so really big tumb up from me for that. I can't say something bad about this place. From very beginning, to the end everything was perfect 🥰 for sure we will visit that place again, especially that our son the very next day asked if we can go to this restaurant again, because the food was delicious.

Great Value for money! Very good steak. The best ones don't come around too often though so it's best to get a lot of them when they come rather than just one piece! It has a good salad bar too and options for vegetarians!

We often eat at Favela and we always used to come for my dad's birthday. Ate their today to celebrate what would have been his 80th birthday. Everything was bang on...the food was super fresh, meat's cooled perfectly, tasty and tender, and to be looked after by the wonderful Sebastian just made it all a great dining experience. What a lovely man he is and a great asset to the establishment. Just double check your bill. Was charging us for 5 people instead of 4, corrected it then was charging us for evening prices, when we are at 3.30. not the first time by any means but I Never mention it, feel I should do today to help others. Still get the 5 stars but just be wary

Incredible pleased with my visit to the restaurant, the staff are absolutely fantastic with people making the dinner experience even more special! I cannot recommend it enough as it’s a fair price for a high quality food experience. Service is absolutely amazing with very friendly people around you all the time well done to the Favela’s team!

Good food, service and atmosphere but very loud echoey room when busy. Difficult to hear each other talking. Not good if you like quiet or are hard of hearing.

Asombroso!!! Amazing quality food at a decent price. I ate more than the price of my food! The hot rump,sirloin,lamb,Brasilia steak, gammon and so on were fantastic. Equally as tasty was the vast selection at the salad bar. Such a fresh and tasty spread.Please try the roasted pineapple with cinnamon it is very delicious. (child-friendly🍭) (very clean areas 🚻) i will be back. 😍

Top notch food .. it's an all you can eat menu & they are constantly coming around with the various cuts of meat . You have a sign on your table indicating if you want more food or not .. booking is recommended as it was full when we went .. we will go again

Great service, staff very attentive throughout and explained the system very clearly. The restaurant was clean and the facilities well maintained, to say it's all you can eat everything was still very nicely presented and professional. Great selection of meats available, and you're able to have the meat cooked to your liking. The 'salad' bar had salad but it also has a number of goodies like onion rings, cheese rolls, breads and salamis, very easy to fill up on! Would definitely recommend, especially with a group of people. The hardest part is getting a good photo! Goodluck IG folk!!

Really great place, easy to find on Sat nav, the staff are really friendly & attentive. Great choice of meats brought out and cut at your table as they are cooked, buffet style so eat what you like when you like. Just flip your card to red if you need a rest or have finished. All the meats were cooked perfectly, beef, chicken, lamb, sausage, belly pork etc and the salads, pastas & cold meats were fresh & tasty. They offer a fish choice instead if you don't fancy meat. Will definitely be going again.

Wow! Want some meat with that meat? The food here is just perfect. Will definitely come again. We went with our kids and our parents and can't fault it at all. There is a big salad style bar that is forever getting replenished. When they start bringing out the meat 😋 If your a big meat eater, get yourself here you will not be disappointed.

First time visiting for my birthday and it was a delicious and friendly experience. We will be returning next weekend and are excited to do so!

Me and my partner visited last night, it was amazing, the salad bar was stocked up well, I made the mistake of filling up on cheeses and potato salad. We just about sat down and the meat came rolling on through, it was brilliant, the Lamb was the star for us both !!! My partner had it well done and she said it was by far the best lamb she had ever had with mint sauce too… Service wise the waiters going round with the meats were super friendly and made us feel at ease. I had a decent pile of meats at one point and they kept adding more to it with no hesitation. The lady who served us our drinks and showed us our table was super polite as well, really sorry I didn’t catch any of your names. But we will be visiting again for sure !!! Thank you.

Ate here last night with friends, the food is and was delicious! Meat is tender and well cooked to your liking. Salads & sides are spot on, fresh and appetising. Left feeling full and content. We live very far away down south otherwise would return very often! Well worth a visit - thanks for a super evening. Great value for money

Just had an amazing meal for my son and husbands birthdays today. There is a vast choice on the salad bar. The meat which is served at the table was delicious. All the meat was cooked to perfection. The pineapple at end of the meal was so tasty.It was a lovely touch to give my son and husband a cake each with a candle. We will definitely go back and recommend to everyone.

First time eating here, we were going to eat at estabulo's but they had changed the menu from the usual meats to a limited lunch menu. So decided to try favela and we were not disappointed!! The service was quick the staff were very friendly and the waiter could not do more for you. Lots of choice for the salad bar. It was a lovely experience for our little celebration!! We have definitely found a new favourite!!!

Great meal, my sons first experience at this style restaurant. The meat was served at the table regularly and all delicious and cooked amazingly. The buffet counter has lots of options and everyone finished the meal extremely full! Would definitely recommend!

There are plenty of options at the buffet, although some could have been served warm and fresh at the table, like in other rodizio steakhouses. We had a good variety of meat thanks to the exceptional service from the waiters; they were friendly and professional.

I was here on the opening night with my mother. Elton invited me , as I had painted the paintings on the wall - La Favela - which is their shanty towns painted in bright colours to make them a landmark in the Brazilian country. The owner is Brazilian- so of course I also painted Jesus Christ the Redeemer statue and the surrounding Area from a photo. - as for the food if you’re a meat eater who loves someone bringing food to you until you bursts This is the place for you 😊look out for my Paintings on the wall which I was asked to paint.

Good, solid, Brazilian BBQ. Service was a little slow to start with but picked up considerably. My gf doesn't eat lamb and there was a lot of it coming out originally, so it was a while before she could feast on the other meats. Quality was decent enough, the buffet was really good, no real major complaints, we all left full up and satisfied.

Fantastic food but with service that's comparable to marmite. You're either going to love the chefs bringing you meat or get frustrated by them. I came here as part of my brother's birthday. I was very quickly pleased with the salad bar's selection of sides and fell in love with the pork belly, sirloin, and lamb. If my stomach permitted, I would have devoured these until my body gives out. As I am someone who is hard of hearing, slow to make decisions, and easy to startle, I had difficulties with the chefs bringing the meats. They would insist on food even when I needed time to respond or didn't particularly want it. This came to a head when two consecutive chefs served me something that I either needed clarification on what they were offering or didn't actually want. A piece of sausage was carelessly placed on my plate despite me not even knowing what I was being offered! Only a "would you like?" and an unceremonious drop onto the plate. And despite the next chef's insistence that "it's just chicken, it won't harm you", I didn't even want chicken today! No chicken! Right then and there, my appetite was spoiled and I rapidly decided that I was done. Had the service not stepped on my toes and been more mindful of me, perhaps I would have had a better time. I had to miss out on gammon because of this clash with staff! And I adore gammon! However, I also acknowledge that this kind of service is made for fast servings and enthusiastic extroverted customers. They need to get this meat out while it's as hot as possible while also keeping the most eager of customers as happy as they can be. This leads me to believe that I am either not suited for this restaurant or this restaurant is not intended for me. In summary: if you can handle rapid fire service that will blaze as bright as your enthusiasm, this is the perfect place for you. If, however, you are neurodivergent, introverted, hearing-impaired/deaf, blind, are very conscientious and careful in your choices, or need just *any* time to decide on a certain cut/meat, you will not have that good of a time.

i have been here a few times, mainly because of the choice of salad buffet for which there is plenty of choice, not eating more than a couple of plates myself, it was always on the slightly pricey side, however its gone up nearly two pounds now to £17, the mayo has browning like its been sat there for a few days and feel its not all fresh. That extra two pounds puts it outside what the competition offers, you can get a good hearty hot meal for 6 less in barnsley, or even a good steak dinner for around the £15 mark. its pointless paying for the meat option since they give you cold plates, so you have to rush thru the meat before it goes cold(luke warm when at the table) also nothing worse than cold meat juices mixing with the salad, so unfortunately i wont be back unless they bring it down to £15 like it was for the veg option. Also, in an empty restaraunt, why do you insist on clumping customers together?, give them some privacy. 10% auto service charge for what exactly?, you are the argos of restaraunts, take the option and then disapear, you dont even bring the bill to the table. oh, and they overcharged me once, seen other reviews on here saying that too, it didnt sound like an honest mistake to me, waiter only had to remember veg or not.

The service and food were okay. Went for Valentine’s Day and they charged more than usual, which I think was overpriced for what we got.

This is for meat lovers which I am, unfortunately we was sat in a blind spot and every waiter kept walking past us, if you like well done you absolutely have no chance as by the time it gets to you everything was gone, the salad bar area wasn't taken care of or filled quick enough and the staff just didn't care, and to top it all off you are asked to tip them, do they not get a wage, the meal already costs a fortune and we are not American but if the service was better I wouldn't have thought twice, very let down favela

We didn’t enjoy our meal here, we kept being brought the last scraps of meat, we were a table of 16 and because there was so little on each cut that was being brought around only a few of us got some each time, and the service was very slow. We had to ask for water 4 times and we didn’t get it until we had nearly finished our meal.

I used to love it here but every time I go back it has deteriorated. Taking my 87 year old mum, who eats less than a sparrow, I called in before booking to be told there would be no charge for my mum as she would eat the equivalent of (or actually less than) a 5 year old. When we were there, the amount of meats on offer seemed more limited than on previous visits. We were only offered chicken thighs and a few different steaks. Yet the price has gone up. Quite a bit! Mum had one small chicken thigh and a small slice of steak, just with a little pasta. She was then tired, so I had to take her home early leaving friends there to finish their meal and settle up. I was shocked to find out that Favela had charged £20 for a ‘vegan meal’ (apparently) for my mum, despite their promise there would be no charge for her. 3 of us paid full price for the meat option. We also bought drinks and (expensive) cocktails. I called in the next day to point out that they had gone back on their word, but surprise surprise…. Despite their promise to get back to me, they haven’t. Well done, Favela. You got £20 extra out of us but have lost all future business from me. I shall not be back and will tell other people to go elsewhere too.

Can't really comment much on food as didn't get chance to eat as one of servers approach my partner accusing him of coming in before and not paying based on him having a beard and hat on and it was first time visiting made us very uncomfortable and when asked to provide the evidence all got told we didnt deal with it and they wasn't in
