Stopped in on my trip to Poulsbo and was SO happy and surprised to see genuine Mexican food! We had the pozole and the birria stew which were both absolutely delicious! And so authentic. The service was phenomenal and the they were so kind and helpful with our questions on the menu. I had my dog and they brought him out some water. The alley way leading to the restaurant is decorative and cozy. Just a 10:10 experience.
We love coming here! It’s such a cute little spot and the food is AMAZING! Recommend their Mole sauce, so savory, and my boyfriend loved their steak.
Food and service are amazing… the atmosphere… WOW, this place rakes you away. From the front ares to the back room, this place is special. We are grateful to be able to come here!
I've been coming here for years because it is the most flavorful Mexican food in my experience. Even the rice and beans are tasty. The Chili Verde is not to be missed.
My waitress was Lupita. She was excellent. Very respectful and responsive. She was polite and she is pretty too. She was a special server. Thankyou for having therr
A nice, cozy little spot down the alley... The food was good, but the service was fantastic! Lupe was on top of it the whole time, and super nice to talk to!
they have the best mole I've had in about 25 years living in the Pacific Northwest!
Delicious food and fantastic service! This has been a go-to spot for me and friends for 20 years.
Unexpected delight in Poulsbo! Been to the town several times but never made it to Casa Luma because it’s down an alley. Finally decided to try it and it was such an unexpected delight. Nachos were great. Big beer selection served in frosty glasses. Service was exceptional. Prices very reasonable. Can’t wait o come back!!
Ohhhhh dang, son! My whole life, I have heard about this hole-in-the-wall (almost literally) place. It's down a narrow alley way, and is almost not noticable, but man is it affordable, fun, AND authentic! The waiter was Hispanic and was super friendly and fun to talk to, but not in your face at all! Free freshly baked tortilla chips woth amazing salsa! And then the meal itself was soooo good. And the horchata! I make homemade horchata, but wow, this was awesome. Even the atmoshpere and vibe there was just, perfect. I highly suggest this place to any, and everyone!
Authentic Mexican food while affordable and delicious. Service was excellent and the decor was very quaint Mexican cantina style. Don’t miss the alley entrance off the Main Street!
Great Mexican food! Enjoyed the birria tacos as well as the shrimp fajita burrito. But I really loved the chicken tortillas soup! Packed with goodies. Even cubed avocado. Delicious and worth the trip to Poulsbo.
Quick to be sat and wonderful service. The restaurant was homey without feeling cheesy. The food was excellent and good sized portions.
Try the relleno special they are serving today. It’s the best Mexican dish I’ve had for so long and I’m from California😋.
Had a delicious lunch here. By far the best Mexican food around. Service was excellent as well as the ambiance.
My wife and I came with our best friends and were treated with the up most respect and the food was more than amazing ! I have not been so impressed with a restaurant in Kitsap county until now
Juan was absolutely amazing! He recommended the chili rellano which was absolutely delicious. Very fresh, wonderful sauce and fluffy. I also tried the chicken enchilada with mole because it is unique to have that in a menu, it was very authentic, the taste took me back to New Mexico. I have found my new favorite restaurant!
We stumbled upon Casa Luna while on a recent trip to the Pacific Northwest. It was a great discovery! Food, margaritas, ambiance and service were all terrific. Will definitely go back when travels take us back that way.
Go here and order the Hibiscus margarita!! Absolutely delicious...they steep real flowers in the drink that amp up the flavor so much. The service, food and atmosphere were also great. Highly recommend!
Not only is the food delicious but the atmosphere is perfect. We sat in the cute little alley with our dog and had a wonderful dinner. The owner is so kind. We felt very welcome.
Fantastic experience at Casa Luna as always. The food is absolutely incredible and is only rivaled by the spectacular service that we always receive. It’s rare to find an authentic place like Casa Luna. Special shout-out to Jaunita who always takes great care of my family. I will (and do) refer Casa Luna to all my friends and family and look forward to many wonderful meals here in the future!
Our service was great. The quality of the carnitas tacos were exceptionally.
One of the best Mexican restaurants I had ever tried.
The food was SO delicious! Absolutely fabulous! Best Mexican food I’ve had in Kitsap. A beautiful restaurant environment and lovely service 💕🌸💕 Thank you guys!!! We’ll be back !
What a gem!! Great food, decor and service. The owner is very present and so gracious. We will keep coming back just for her food. And we don’t even live in Poulsbo. But worth the drive.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food with huge portions. Margaritas were also spot on. I would absolutely come back here and recommend it to anyone!
Casa Luna is not a chain restaurant. The decor doesn't feel canned. The music sounds like it's tuned to a modern Mexican station, not a bunch of old mariachi hits. The food tastes individual too. I had an enormous Burrito Relleno. I could only eat half! My husband had a couple of enchiladas that he was able to customize: filling, sauce, and level of heat. (We couldn't believe he ate the whole thing.) Indoor and outdoor dining. Family friendly.
Absolutely authentic and delicious. My favorite rice ever and the posole is divine. Highly recommend and well worth it.
We wanted to try this restaurant a few years ago but it wasn't open for dining at that time. We were so excited to pop in here for an early dinner. Amazing atmosphere. Such wonderful service and the Burrito Colorado I ordered was superb, amazing flavors! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Everyone’s food and drink was outstanding, this a an impeccable restaurant and probably the best Mexican food I have had in WA.
Amazing food and great service! Everything was fresh and tasty. Our server Lupe was so kind, friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!
Oh my, where to begin.. This restaurant was so on point I thought the kid from Coco was going to come out and start singing. The tamales were delicious, the beans a lot more flavorful than your usual colorless/saltless one. Some people may complain that the taste is not "right" or "usual". Yeah, guess what, that's what makes this place so interesting. If your thing is always having the same thing, go to Taco Bell 😂 Do try their horchata and their nachos, both very filling and a great combo! And if you're willing to be surprised, have their mole dish. It was sweet, hot, everything you hope from a mole and more.
I recently had the divine pleasure of dining at this Mexican restaurant, and it was an experience blessed by the flavors of authentic cuisine. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere felt like a divine intervention, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients. The tacos were heavenly, with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh toppings that danced on my taste buds. The guacamole was the best I've ever had, creamy and full of zest. And let's not forget the margaritas – they were simply divine, the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. Overall, this restaurant is a true gem. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience that will leave you feeling blessed and satisfied, look no further. Five stars, without a doubt!
Incredible food and drinks. Great atmosphere! Alex gave us the greatest service, always love coming here.
Always love coming here. ❤️ The food is so delicious 😋 and good service. Had the pozole today. Great flavor with a little spice.
Was a great atmosphere. Best Mexican food we’ve had in the area! Highly recommend for a family outing or even a cute date night!
I would have never guessed that a small restaurant down a tiny alley in Poulsbo Washington would have ranked among the top 5 best Mexican food places I've ever been!! The staff here was super nice and accommodating for our large family. Got us really well taken care of. Helped us to navigate the menu and resulted in a plethora of extremely amazing food. The taquitos were out of this world and a great start, it just went up from there! Burritos, Mexican pizza, nachos, Chile Verde ... all incredible! The kids menu was also perfect for the little ones and had a great variety of good Mexican and then some classic chicken nuggets and fries for those picky eaters. This was an awesome experience with amazing food!
I am a regular here and just had an excellent meal with friends. The mesquite corn appetizer was a first for me. Everything was delicious!
Reminds me of home in Arizona. Seriously some of the best if not the best Mexican food I’ve had in Washington so far. Thank you to everyone who has helped make my experience amazing!
Everything from the mezcal margaritas to the mesquite corn to the birria tacos were amazing! Very friendly staff, amazing food, great atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back.
This place have great food and I love their strawberry margarita . Their chips and salsa is homemade and freshly made. Will come back again :)
Dare I say I found the best Mexican food in all of Washington??? My husband and I are from southern Arizona and have constantly been disappointed with the options available in Kitsap/Seattle/Tacoma area. We randomly stumbled soon this place and WOW they actually season their food!! I got the veggie enchiladas and it was probably the best I’ve had. I also got the hibiscus margarita, which was surprisingly really good. Not too sweet and felt like they didn’t skimp on the tequila. Husband got the carna asada, his only complaint was that the portion felt small especially considering the price. You do have to pay extra for refills on the chips and salsa, so be weary. All around the flavor was amazing in everything we had. Atmosphere was great. Highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food.
Their chicken tortilla soup was delicious with a slight smokey taste, fresh cilantro and lots of yummy grilled chicken and avocado. Loved the atmosphere and our waitress was so nice and attentive.
AMAZING and I mean AMAZING food!! Omg,,, the taste is something special something that your not typically used to. It's so delicious and unexpected honestly. I'm so glad we found the entrance. **ENTRANCE::: is a small walkway right off the street between buildings close to a crosswalk. It's hard to find but DONT GIVE UP YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED I PROMISE!! Amazing customer service, owner is such a sweet woman. Very kind and caring. Again I'm so glad we found them! Thank you for the great experience and good food and experience.
The entrance to the door is so amazing with a well lit alley way and a welcoming presence. Then, once in the door, the staff was attentive and incredibly kind. Even with a chaotic environment due to another event occurring in town, the staff remained calm and organized. And the food!!! One of the best margaritas I’ve had in years and the presentation was perfect. The carne asada was cooked to perfection with amazing sides. I would absolutely recommend this place for a cozy, comfortable and customer oriented small business and will absolutely be back again! Thank you!
The service here is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious- really! They were super busy tonight and thru it, were clearly doing their very best to make everyone happy and keep the amazing food coming. Their tortilla soup is the best ever. Always so happy to get to come to Casa Luna! Best in Poulsbo. Cozy. Friendly. Great night out.
We haven't been to Casa Luna in years...like 17 years. Now we live in Montana and happened to meet a couple from Poulsbo. We compared notes and asked, "is Casa Luna still there?", as it was our favorite Mexican restaurant back in the day. They told us "yes" and it made us so happy. Lots of good memories of delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and a comfortable, favorite place.
Casa Luna is easily the best Mexican food and restaurant on the peninsula, and there are many. It’s also our favorite restaurant in poulsbo. Service was great today despite the fact that they were slammed due to the festival. Get the char broiled carne asada, or the chicken tortilla soup.
Lovely hide a way down a little alleyway off Poulsbo's front street. They got us in right away even tho it was a holiday. The chips and guacamole for the appetizer were nutty and divine. My companion had chicken mole which was superb. I had Diablo Shrimp which was nicely spicy.
An amazing hidden gem in poulsbo. Got house enchiladas w chicked n red sauce n partner got veggie one w green sauce. V delicious. The complimentary chips n salsa are also delicious. We went thru 2 bowls easily. We order fajitas extra as we jus loved thr fajitas n kept asking for more. Definitely on my list to revisit. Highly reco for vegetarians.
Casa Luna is my go-to spot for Mexican food in Poulsbo. My favorite dish is the chicken, asada, and shrimp fajitas. They’re always sizzling hot, and delicious. We also tried the strawberry and blood orange margaritas, and both were really good. I also love the warm, inviting atmosphere and service. They greet you like family. The place feels very cozy and inviting, and the string lights in the back room give it a relaxed garden-patio vibe. I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
As a child I grew up on the staple dishes of chicken mole, Chile rellano, and chilaquiles. This place brings me back to my childhood with two of the three dishes I mentioned on my first trip here. The service was beyond that of mi abuelita when she would come into town to feed her mijo. I cannot wait to try chilaquiles here and I hope it brings me back once again as that little mijo of old.
We stopped in for lunch and it was delicious. The salsa was very good and the margarita was really good. Great atmosphere and friendly service. I highly recommend the bean and rice vegetarian bowl! We will be back soon.
Food was outstanding. Hands down best Mexican food I’ve had. It is clear that they use fresh ingredients, flavor was bold and delicious. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and ambience. Feels very authentic and cozy. Noticably clean! We were seated immediately and received excellent attentive service. Highly highly recommend!
Hidden gem In downtown Poulsbo, quaint location on Front St. Staff are kind and caring, and having recently relocated from San Diego, have been looking for a go-to authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. The food here is fantastic, having been to Cafe Luna many times. Even when back in SD, I long for the food at Cafe Luna. Prices are very reasonable.
Tucked down a charming little alleyway, Casa Luna is a hidden gem. Service was prompt and attentive, making lunch smooth and enjoyable. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere carried a warm, inviting vibe that made us want to linger a bit longer. A solid spot for a casual meal with a touch of charm.
Delicious!!! The service was incredible. Our servers were the nicest. We had a huge group and they were very patient and accommodating. I got tacos, rice and beans. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. We finished the night with tequila shots and had a nice personal salute!
Update May 2025: We’ve been there a few times and tried different things. The birria is definitely my favorite. Unfortunately, the carnitas were kinda bland. Carne Asada was tasty and had good grilled flavor. Cadillac Margaritas are delicious. You’ll need a nice long walk after one too. They don’t skimp. Food has been consistently good. As locals, this is our go-to Mexican place. ****** Best Mexican food in Poulsbo and possibly Kitsap County. Good Mexican food is my comfort food and this place nailed it! Casa Luna flavors are unique from the salsa to the meats. Flavors I have not found in any place in WA…and we’ve tried many. Delicious. I ate every bite of my burrito. The place itself looks amazing. Very clean and fun colors. It has a style all its own. The hostess was friendly and recommended a drink that was so good called a Jalapeño. We can’t wait to go back!
Casa Luna is a true gem in Poulsbo! The location is perfect—easy to find and right in the heart of town. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive or kind. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor, but the real standout was the salsa—it was easily the best I’ve had in a long time. Bright, bold, and addictive! Highly recommend Casa Luna if you’re in the area. We’ll definitely be back!
Don't miss this magical alleyway off the main drag in historic Poulsbo downtown. We were looking for a place that wasn't jampacked. We tried several places around two in the afternoon and the wait time was 45 minutes for food so we decided to try to look for something a little off the beaten path. Magically we saw a sign pointing us in the direction of the alleyway and the alleyway was utterly charming. You can tell by the photos the interior was no less magical. The hostess was lovely, we could see people enjoying their food quite a bit. Just from watching what was on their tables we are able to ascertain what we might want to try. We are eventually seated in the back dining room, Service was prompt and polite. We probably asked for more salsa and chips than we should but it was so darn good it was impossible not to love the smoky Salsa which was picante and just the right ways. The nachos with chicken were amazing, the taco salad was really loved by my friend, and the guacamole is just fantastic. A slight disappointment were the potato and chorizo tacos which wound up being fried -- either I missed that description on the menu or I didn't realize that was the way it was typically served. They were still tasty. With our margaritas, my girlfriends had theirs frozen and I had mine on the rocks, the tab was about $30 before tip. We will definitely come again.
12/19/2021 We really wanted to try someplace new to eat; knowing that we would be out and about, we decided to head over to Poulsbo and check out restaurants there. Hubby was in the mood for Mexican food, and after doing a quick search on Google maps, I came across Casa Luna Mexican Restaurant, whose location was on front street. After first getting to Poulsbo, I feared we might not get a parking space; it was so busy, partially due to nice weather, and people were doing last-minute shopping for Christmas. To my amazement, we timed it perfectly; we didn't have to drive around for thirty minutes to find a spot, people were leaving, and the location was ours for the taking! The first thing I noticed about Casa Luna's location, it was located down a little bit of an ally; I guess that's what it's called, I say that because it was a small ally between two buildings, but you couldn't go all the way through it. I'm certainly not trying to sound disrespectful, but great food, more times than not, comes from little "hole in the wall" cafes, diners, etc.; this happens to be no different. The little restaurant was reasonably small, somewhat dated looking, a little bit on the shabby side and with only one server, one person doing the cleaning, and one person cooking. Our server brought us tortilla chips and salsa with our menu as we were seated. Although the salsa was good with a unique balance of smokiness, it was a little watery, but the taste made up for it. I love Mexican food, so choosing a meal was hard to make. I ended up ordering a taco salad, and hubby ordered tamales and a house margarita. My taco salad came with a choice of meats; I chose chicken and held the sour cream, the taco salad also came with beans and rice. I love taco salads, and this was a good one, fresh, and a decent amount; the chicken was nicely seasoned and full of flavor. But I have to say, the beans and the rice were the shining stars, especially their refried beans which they add a little cinnamon to it, fabulous! My hubby's tamales came with a choice of meat, he chose pork, and the dish also came with beans and rice. I had to have a bite of those tamales. Although not regretting my choice of a taco salad, you better believe I will be ordering tamales next time; I honestly can't explain how delicious those tamales were; it has been a very long time since I had tamales that good! So with the good comes the bad, we'll say average; my hubby's house margarita was pretty on the weak side, although I'm not much of a drinker at all, I can attest to that, I had a little drink of it and thought it was very weak, this is coming from someone that barely drinks at all, also it was missing most of the liquid; there was so much ice in it there was barely any room for the drink itself. That was a little bit of a disappointment to him! Our server, Maritza, was friendly enough and did pretty well keeping up with everyone's orders; aside from not asking if we wanted more water, she did good! Overall I would definitely go back again!!! Casa Luna's location is 18830 Front Street NE, Poulsbo, Washington. Their location is not on the waterside, and if you come across "The Wooden Bin," Casa Luna is down the ally located next to "The Wooden Bin." Other neighboring businesses are Abigail's Artful Abode, Dancing Brush, and Youngs Block Building across the street. Finding parking, especially during the summer and holidays, can be challenging; there is a decent size free parking lot on the waterside of Front Street and parking on the streets if you can find free spaces. "Support a locally owned business that has been around for a very long time, and in return, you get some awesome Mexican food!"
The food was pretty good! The service was very sweet and attentive. The House Margarita was quite bad. I think maybe they use lime grenadine and little to no fresh lime juice? There was a weird sweet chemical taste to it.
I love the atmosphere and the menu has many items that seem very interesting and we'll be coming back to find our favorites. We loved the texture and flavor of their salsa. So far we've had the Sampler Tower (4/5), Street Tacos (3/5), and Taco Salad (3/5). As far as how the food met our expectations, each of the dishes met our expectations but none had a ton of zest. Their mole was definitely a must for the sampler tower, and I think if their street tacos came with lime and possibly some zesty mole they'd be stand outs. The taco salad was a standard fare taco salad but overall we both agreed it was just "ok" not more than 3/5. The menu looks to have a lot to our palates so we will be coming back to find the dishes that hit us right. Having trouble with providing food/service/atmosphere ratings but I'd give 3/3/5 if it'd let me
When I go to a new to me Mexican restaurant I always order there burrito as I then compare it to others I have had. I would rate it a 5 out of 10. The Size was there but not the flavor. I asked it the sauce was spicy and was told no. It was! I brought the left over home and buried it in sour cream to take the hot out.
The small room off the entrance was extremely warm. Making it very uncomfortable. I got the plobanos pasta it was good, but the chicken was a little dry. The service was okay, but it took a very long time to get our appetizer, which was nachos, we received our main meal before the appetizer. Almost like they forgot to put it in.
Saturday lunch and they were fairly busy. Had a grapefruit margarita which was nice. Unfortunately the Carnitas was a bit dry and the quesadilla was overly greasy. We were all served guacamole that had already turned brown - this did not inspire confidence in the overall freshness. Are they pre-portioned and stored in the fridge?
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, do not go here. It’s not bad, but it’s not really that good either. Everything seems to be lacking flavor. The chips were good, but the salsa was just odd, and tasted different. Having said that, everyone was super friendly, and very nice. It’s just a shame their food isn’t better. But if you’re not picky about Mexican food, then you might like it.
This was our first time here. We liked how colorful the place was, and it kind of reminded me of mexico. The service could have been better. Our service had our table and four others. Looked like she was struggling. I ordered a shot of tequila to start, then got quesadilla. it was pretty good. My girlfriend got the $10 4 taco special. It was pretty disappointing. They were too runny, plain looking, and no sour scream guacamole or even piko on the side with it. Flavor was ok, but definitely need more. Over all, it coulda have been a little bit of a better experience food wise, but we're willing to come back and try them on a slower day and see if it's better.
I'm a native Texan. I came to visit my family for Christmas. I had a craving for Mexican food, i was recommended to this restaurant. The alley entrance was very authentic Mexico. Unfortunately, that's where it all stopped. The restaurant was dark and drab. The chairs and tables were mismatched, decorations were seemingly random and dusty. Our waitress tried to put on a happy face but she didn't seem happy. I spoke to her in Spanish (being from Texas, it's pretty common) she seemed offended. We ordered margaritas. They were standard, run of the mill, pre-mixed house margaritas. Not much effort in the presentation. We all ordered different dishes. I had the beef enchilada dinner and my mother had the chicken soup. My dad had tacos. Unfortunately, my enchilada plate was a resounding "NO". The beef was stewed and somewhat bland. That is NOT the recipe for beef enchiladas. It's always made with ground beef, nothing else. If it were called "birria" enchiladas, I could buy that however, it was very bland nonetheless. The refried beans were a bit of a shock. I thought that I had tasted clove and was flabbergasted. It turned out to be cinnamon which was just as shocking. The rice was slightly overcooked but the flavors were right on the money. My mother could only handle a few bites from her chicken soup and asked me to taste it. She said that she tasted black cardamom. I couldn't taste it. The broth was rich and delicious and the chicken had great texture. Yes, I know I sound like a bit of a snooty Texan, harshly judging a Mexican restaurant in the Pacific Northwest and you'd be right. I've worked under world renowned chefs, I managed the top restaurant in the city of Houston and I worked under a Frank Beard award winning chef at an award winning Tex Mex restaurant. I have an intimate knowledge of everything Tex Mex as well as fusion recipes. I can appreciate the creativity in trying unique spice blends to stand out in a "copy and paste" world but, sometimes, mastering a traditional recipe takes more effort. Cinnamon and clove in refried beans is nothing new but it seems like it would be a better fit at a vegan or holistic health themed restaurant rather than a restaurant that advertised itself as "Mexican". So the search continues. I'm starting to think that finding good Mexican food and good barbecue is just not possible in the Pacific Northwest.
Cute little find we stumbled upon while exploring Poulsbo. The restaurant itself is cute, dark and cozy. The food just wasn’t good. My avocado tostada had maybe 1/4 of a browned avocado on it. I had maybe 4 bites. The meat was also a very low quality. I only write a review because the other reviews are so high, and I don’t understand why.
Seeing all of these positive reviews makes me wonder what went wrong during our visit. We were greeted by someone who was not particularly friendly. We were given glasses of water that had a shockingly bad after taste—like a filter hadn’t been changed for entirely too long. We ordered some queso dip and it took a long time for it to come out. Without us asking, the server told us it was taking so long because the kitchen could not find the ingredients. We ended up ordering soft drinks because we couldn’t stomach the water. The queso was not very good. We all got different entrees and they were all okay. We never got any refills for our drinks because our server never checked in on us. When we asked for the bill, the server told us (again unprompted) that they were sorry they neglected us. Yikes. I don’t know what made our experience so far outside of the norm, but we all left wishing we had decided to eat elsewhere. Pretty place, though.
I really wanted to like this place because it was recommended by a friend. And maybe it was an off day but the food was disappointing. I ordered a chicken tostada and the chicken was extremely salty and tasted like it was from a can. The queso I ordered was extremely thick and was garnished with green onion which I’ve never seen before. The salsa tasted like barbecue sauce. Our server was very friendly and it was a nice atmosphere but the food was just not worth $80 dollars.
The service was terrible. I used a to-go box for the rest of my food, and just two minutes later, it was thrown away. Did I really pay a tip just to have my food tossed out? My friend and I ordered a Coke and a burrito, but we didn’t receive any straws or tableware. It was a bit ridiculous, but we stayed patient and kept smiling. However, after everything, when I got home, I started feeling really uncomfortable, and I had an upset stomach the whole night. If you want to spend your entire day in the bathroom, just come here and enjoy!
The food was pretty good, but the service was awful. I ordered a chimichanga and the waitress brought me a Burrito Colorado. My wife ordered nachos with only a few items on it - not tomatoes. She got nachos with tomatoes. I had two Pacificos and my wife had one, but we were charged for four and had to ask the waitress to fix it. We told her up front that the bill needed to be split but she didn't split it and had to redo it. My chimichanga had a strong line taste as did my wife's nachos. Beautiful, quaint restaurant and I was hopeful that it would be great, but was very disappointed.
This is the first time trying this place and was super excited! Well, first off the margaritas had no alcohol. Secondly, the food tasted so much like curry that I could not believe I was at a Mexican establishment. To top it off, the order was completely wrong. The service itself, was very mid. The waitress did not write down the order in the first place came back to ask what was ordered then, the meal was still wrong. I will not be coming back, this was a horrible experience and from seeing many of the reviews it doesn’t seem like a lot of people will be returning. Sad
Ok I'm not one for repeating other people posts. But in this case most of the bad reviews are right about this place. The food was just ok. The salsa was wired and did not taste right. Very spicy... We ordered two of the Luna burrito and the burrito it's self was good and tasted very well done. We liked the fact they used whole beans and not just mashed refried beans. But they covered it with a red sauce the did not taste good and yes I believe it came right out of a can... The staff was very nice and the place just had a fun feel and a neat experience. If your not too picky about your Mexican food and or just want a experience you might not of had before I would say give it a try but if you want real Mexican food go somewhere else.
Had reservations for Valentine’s Day and it was really awkward. The server and maybe the host were arguing in front of us about the reservation and we were finally sat in the back room of the restaurant and then ignored for most of our overpriced dinner. I probably won’t be back. It was just uncomfortable and unprofessional how we were treated. I have never been treated that way by a restaurant when I made a reservation beforehand. Seemed like the staff were unhappy to be there and I don’t feel like the management were organized for the holiday weekend. Such a shame for a small town place that probably needs the business. Shame
