The food was very delicious and we were seated, served and given our food in less than 15 minutes! It was a bit odd that they charged $2 for a little cup of sour cream, but I overall enjoyed my experience at this restaurant.

They put a ton of money into this place. And it is successful!! It's like they hired Disney artist to do the inside. Very detailed. And the food is very very good. The service was great too! I wouldn't be shocked if they did hire Disney artist. You can. I know some people that did it in Merritt island and in satellite beach. Who knows. Maybe these guys did too? It's that good looking in there.

As always a very attentive waiters and waitresses. The food is outstanding as well as plentiful. The whole experience is just really good , weather is just a couple or the whole family. Dish morelia's is number one in my book and I have visited 3 of them I would suggest Morales in Bastrop to anybody looking for a good meal and a good time.

This was my first time trying this place. The staff was Very nice and welcoming. 2 different sauces with our chips, decent. But the Tea was delicious and the food even more delicious 😋 We definitely will be back to thus one.

Vast menu of more options than you could imagine! Their Fajitas Texanas are incredible, as are the stuffed avocados, enchiladas, queso, & complementary green sauce. Nice atmosphere. Sometimes the service is slow, but their delicious food overshadows any negatives. Highly recommend this place!

My grandpa LOVES this place! He goes all the time and I’ve been here about twice! We both get the chicken chimichanga and the queso! So good!! I also love the fact that they have Horchata and it’s so good!! we will definitely choose Morelia over any other Mexican restaurant!

I thought the place was fantastic. Great wait staff (thank you Susannah), the food was delicious and reasonably priced -especially for the serving size-piping hot, the margaritas were awesome and they've done a nice job with the decor. We were really happy we have it a try and plan on returning soon.

Alejandra is awesome at her job she kept are glasses full.she has a great warm and inviting smile that you just can't resist and a great scene of humor. She frequently stopped checking if everything was correct with our orders as well as if we need anything. She is truly a one of kind employee. As long as she works there you will have us as customers.

Kind hearted staff first serve up two warm salsas with complimentary chips, very fresh and just right. I had one of their Tilapia offerings today and it was so delicious and fulfilling I decided to write this review. I don’t go to counseling anymore in Tx I just seek out the healthy, happy environments that make me feel sane and this is one of these places. Fun music, always cheerful and refreshing break from nearby 1-71...this is well made food. Delicioso!! I always feel better after.

Tried it for the 1st time on a busy Saturday night and the food was delicious and delivered quickly. The guacamole and pico were very fresh and good. They have a tomatillo green sauce they serve with the chips and salsa which is awesome. The beer is nice and cold. I tried a cocktail and I can't remember the name but it was great. Mango something or other. See the photo below.

Nice place. I surprised the house margaritas on the rocks were really tasty. That not an easy on to get right but they did. Had spinach quesadilla and chicken quesadilla. They do not skip on the fillings. And the spinach was seasoned so good. Made some excellent leftover. Will return.

It would be nice if they would prioritize seated customers, but hey. Mexican martinis are made with a mix, not fresh. But not bad.

Went for my brother in law birthday and as always the staff was friendly, helpful and great service. We didn't have to wait at all. As soon as the hostess seated our party we were being served chips and salsa, asked if we wanted any appetizers and they took our drink orders and then they came back pretty promptly and and and took her order I've been there before and I would recommend it for friends family whoever it's a great place to eat in enchiladas are slamma damma ding dong

Great service. Great food. I had the steak and sautéed shrimp plate. The steak was swimming in the grease. Good still tasted great but if you ask for a steak let them know to bring it out out of the pool of grease. Manager was helpful. Drinks were great. We were seated very quickly. And ordered drinks immediately. Our party of 8-10 ordered at the same time so it did take a little while to get food, but our drinks were refreshed at good intervals. Food was good, it does seem a little over priced, but the prices of everything is inflated so bring money. I'd recommend the jalapeno poppers.

Met my Dad here for dinner. I had the grilled fish tacos, rice and black beans. 👍 I like that they give you 2 kinds of salsa with your chips as well. The red one is good for a little bit of heat. 🤏 My dad had a steak cooked to perfection but it was a bit gristly and we had to ask for a steak knife. Not sure why they didn't bring it out with the plate. Overall, a good meal.

Taco was simple and good, cheese puff was a new to me experience with their house queso on top. My daughter liked her quesadilla. I got El Acapulco dish. Service was wonderful. The waitress was very attentive and kind to my toddler. I'd go again.

Pretty good for grilled plates, carnitas, margaritas, drinks. The beef, chicken, shrimp, nopalitos Molcajetes special was good but pricey ($28). Service was decent but understaffed, so it took a while to make the rounds. Since they are not a taqueria, they don't have menudo, pozole, tortas, gorditas, or breakfast. Their drinks and higher end plates are good but not quite as good as Casa Chapalas; however, they do have unique items on their menus that stand out, worth trying out for sure.

We came here for a late lunch on Saturday and got a table right away. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the fajita chimichanga and I really liked it. My husband ordered one of their combination plates and he enjoyed his meal, especially the tamale. The only bad thing was that the bathrooms were pretty gross.

Went for late lunch, mine was okay. My husband's Taco, Charro Beans, Rice, bowl of Tortilla Soup came cold, sent it back and the only thing steaming hot on the 2nd plate was the beans, the rest of it barely warm. He didn't eat it and when I told the waitress there was really no response. I said it was still cold and he didn't eat it, only the beans were hot. She said, just the beans? I said yes, she took my card charged it and no attempt to have a manager chat with me or possibly take a little off the bill...just oh well...oh well guess we won't come back. It was not very busy either.

The service was good (attentive). Had a snack and drinks with a family member. Food was ok. Unfortunately, they started cleaning behind the bar and it was a heavy aroma. Not very considerate to those of us that were eating and it was a fast track to a migraine. LoL

I'm from Round Rock and Morelia there is one of my favorite places, this location however was a big disappointment. Not sure if they were just short staffed or just poorly managed but the whole experience was just a mess. Took forever to get seated, had to go get my own drinks from the bar, which were wrong, food order was wrong, had to go hunt down someone to pay. I have 3 stars only because of how well I like the other locations otherwise it wouldn't have been so high.

Great food, but the service was very slow. There was a bewildering array of wait staff. We seemed to have about 5 different waiters, but we still had empty water glasses and empty chip baskets/salsa. I had the fish tacos and they were excellent. The charro beans were probably some of the best I've ever had.

Today service was good. 1 waitress had many tables to serve. My fajita chicken was tough with gristle. Could not eat it. Waitress got it replaced with beef which was divine! Maybe just a bad day with the chicken. Service is usually excellent. I will return.

I had a very poor experience there today. We waited close to five minutes for someone to acknowledge we were waiting to be seated. It then took some time before we had our drinks. Once we ordered food it took a very long time to have it served. The wait staff was having a difficult time keeping up. It did not appear to be that busy... When we got our food my beans and rice were cold and my meat was pretty chewy... I gave it 3 stars because the chips and salsa once we got it were good and the lady waiting on our table was trying very hard. I don't think I'll return with all of the very good Mexican food here in Bastroo.

Food was delicious, had a mishap with my dish in the kitchen so when I finally got my food the rest of the table was finished. The manager however handled it very well, he offered me a free drink. I am very patient so it was not a big deal for me, however my free drink was so strong I could not drink it. But that's ok it was free. All in all it's a good place to eat!

Foods always amazing but customer service not so great. Loved our waitress, Angel was very attentive and made sure we had everything but had to wait at door to be seated for quite a while. And took them a bit to drop off chips and salsa. Seems like we customers are the reason they get paid, 4 or 5 waitress's shouldnt walk by and just look at you waiting to be seated....noone to say "welcome we will be right with you" or something.

Great staff, Great food, everyone works really hard, I came and ate there last weekend, it was really busy, that one short guy busser is really a hard worker, it was really a thrill watching him moving around working. So this is my second time writing a review for Morelia I ordered iced tea and Beef Fajita's I sat down in a booth table The owner asked a waitress to move somewhere else. I don't really appreciate that, i am and do go there to eat often.

When we got there we had to wait 15 min, no problem. Then we got seated we sat there for 10 min with no one asking us anything. Then the girl who sat us at our table asked us if we had ordered our drinks, we told her no. She got us our drinks and she took our order. We had to ask for chips, napkins , utensils. They didn't bring out tortillas when our food came.we had to ask for them twice. I ordered a taco with no lettuce or tomato, it had lettuce and tomato. No refills on drinks. Food was good, but the service was terrible. Will not go back.

The tilapia has too much lemon, the steak doesn’t come seasoned but was tender. Shrimp was good.

I had given this place 5 stars about a year ago. I would take friends and family because the food was super fresh and delicious. They were always impressed. We've been regulars there, often visiting once a week. We stopped going as frequently and I can tell you last night will be my last visit for some time. The tables were sticky, the salt shakers were greasy and covered in fingerprints. The menus were literally falling apart the seams, service was severely lacking. We sat with our table cleared and our drinks empty for about 10 minutes and the server finally comes back and asks how everything is??? Everything is done, obviously, bring the check. There was a rainbow of gum stuck under the table. The blinds on the windows had a conspicuous coating of dust and grease. It looks like they've stopped cleaning the place since they opened. Too bad because this place seemed like such a winner when they opened. Please clean your dining room Morelias! Don't be like every other restaurant in Bastrop and become mediocre and complacent. Do you even care?

This was our first time here and our last. The food was excellent, but the service was terrible. First off we stood for about 10 minutes to be acknowledged and to be seated. We were not the only ones that this happened to. Once finally seated 15 minutes had passed, I had to track down the girl that brought out the chips and salsa to ask her if we could get 2 glasses of water, which she did get those for us. Another 15 minutes goes by, I have to track down a waitress to see if we can order. She said your waitress has not been over here, I said no! She was kind enough to take our order. I don't know if they were short staffed or didn't care, but it definitely was not busy at the time. Hopefully management or owners will address these issues.

Not impressive at all. The beef we ordered in there different meals were all too similar. As if they used the same meat for every dish rather than different cuts according to the recipe. It was overpriced for the portion size.

Restaurant was nice and clean. My only issue was the service. I'm sure our server was new, since it took ~25 minutes to get our drinks. When I got my frozen margarita, it was already melted. As I'm typing this, my girlfriend is still waiting ~10 minutes for her second drink. Food took ~35 minutes. The food was worth the wait, but I won't be coming back until management works out the kinks. The restaurant is new, so I'm sure it'll get better in the next 2 or 3 months. Edit: This was originally a 3 star review, but the server took ~10 minutes to bring the check. When he did, it was the wrong check. I don't plan on coming back.

I would give zero stars if I could. Took my family out to dinner where we waited 10 minutes to be seated. The staff outnumbered the amount of tables occupied. Once we were seated we waited another 10-15 minutes and no one even looked our way while multiple staff members stopped at a table next to us who was already done eating. We finally got tired of waiting and decided to walk out and I told the “hostess” that no one ever came to help us and she couldn’t be bothered either as she barely looked up from her cell phone to look at me and said nothing. Used to love Morelia’s. Will never go back. Tried to call after leaving to speak to a manager and of course no one answered.

Horrible service we were seated then 5 to 7 min later I had to get up and go get a waiter just to take the order for our drinks‼️ The food is horrible we ordered enchiladas only cheese they basically gave us two corn tortillas folded in half with cheese around them.. kids chicken tenders were so dark looked burnt as well they don’t care of how your food is made here never ever coming back here!!! Sat down at the bar and waited for a while before being asked what I wanted to drink then was served the drink and they waited 10 minutes to ask if I wanted a menu. Food was mediocre at best then they added 3% service charge for using my card to pay. Do better at service and quit the dang service charge

Worst Mexican Restaurant I have EVER eaten at. It took 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken, and then we were served the wrong drinks. Cheese dip was forgotten. Reminded server about it when she came back 20 minutes after our drinks were delivered to take our order. Cheese dip was then delivered luke warm at best. Chicken fajitas only took about 5 minutes to come out after ordered. They tasted like they came straight from the freezer to the microwave to table. Ate one bite and we left. Avoid at all costs, I know we will.

Don’t order the fish tacos! They were the real small ones that you get in the frozen section at HEB and they were cold with no season and never touched a grill. The black beans we cold and the rice was cold as well and very bland. Frozen margarita was good with a floated added. Salsa was good.

Food was not good at all. Most of it tastes like it's out of a can. Waiter never brought drink refills, didn't bring my requested sides, and brought incorrect Tortillas. Usually the service can be excusable by me however this guy had zero people skills and really should be in another line of work. As if the food and service wasn't bad enough there was an undisciplined child around five or so that was allowed to climb all over the adjacent booths, sliding on the tops of the seat backs between the two booths, jumping up and down on the seats like they were a trampoline and taking the silverware sets rolled in Napkins and playing drums on the tables with them. The so called parents totally ignored the kid and the staff did nothing to not only protect the child from harm but allowed the family to destroy everyone else's dinner, not that the awful food wasn't already doing an excellent job of that already. Oh and those drum sticks, I mean silverware rolls were never replaced so the next customers to sit at that table will be able to wipe their faces with the Napkins that that little angel had his grubby little hands all over. Enjoy!

Bathrooms are clean! waitress did not know how to pick up anything after us. we had to practically do her job keeping our table clean. The restaurant was DARK, and food took for ever. Our sons enchilada plate was clearly made first for our party of 8. It came out hard and cold. Crispy tacos shells were stale. Queso was gross.

Our food was great. Our waitress - Melody - was horrible. We had to ask for silverware and when she delivered it she threw it across the table. She did not say enjoy your meal or did she come to check on is. It could be lack of training or her youth or she just didn't care.

This is a common review for the past 6 month on Nextdoor from our neighbors in Bastrop who frequent Morelia's like i used to. Not anymore with these reviews. 7/17/21 - HORRIBLE service!!! Was our favorite place to go. Sadly as the staff set in the nook in the hall of the cooking area we were left to sit unattended. Drinks left dry though the entire dinner. Not one time did our waitress check on us until she was ready to collect their money… food was great. Place almost empty as well so absolutely no excuse for this horrible service. Very disappointed. And to top it all off they allowed a man to go table to table begging for money. Smh 🤦‍♀️ Response posted: Morelia’s was our favorite for quite a while. But the last two or three times we’ve been there we’ve had horrible service and bad food. It’s now off our Friday routine!

Have been coming here for awhile. Did the cook quit!! Just went and it was the worst. Wife ordered chicken tortilla soup and it was nothing but salty red liquid that reminded me of watered down enchilada sauce and shredded chicken, not a piece of vegetable. Mine was just as salty, rice and beans were cold and we won’t even talk about the chimichanga. Hope this is not a new trend. Gave one star for the very busy waitstaff.

Waited 10 minutes by the "wait to be seated sign" and although several servers walked by, not a one even glanced our direction to acknowledge our existence. Just a quick, "Hi welcome we'll be right with you!" would make a world of difference. I know how busy and stressed waiting can be, but it was a slow, quiet night. It is so discourteous to ignore your patrons so blantenly and repeatedly. We left and had AMAZING service with a much livelier atmosphere at the Guadalajara.

Have been here before and had good service. Today was the worst experience. We ordered frozen drinks for the kiddos that they enjoy from this place but never received them. People next to us kept ordering frozen alochol beverages and those kept coming. I had to point it out to the manager what was going on before it was taken care of. Then when the food arrived I got served a bad batch of shrimp. I told the server about the food and was not accommodated. I will never go back to this place.

My husband I went here once and had a pretty good experience so we figured we would come back. I have never written a bad review for a restaraunt in my life, especially as former service industry for 10+ years but this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restraunt in my life. We ordered a round of the top shelf margaritas which took almost 20 minutes to arrive when there was only one other table in the restraunt. Once they finally came out the lime juice and orange juice had gone bad, like the taste of mixing toothpaste and OJ with fermentation BAD. I asked the server if we could get a round of Mexican maritni's instead. They were very good like the last time. Still they took about 20 minutes to arrive to the table. I get it sometimes people have an off day. I can understand that and let it slide. However, our food came out and was extremely oversalted, and cold. Even worse the ground beef in our beef enchiladas were not fully cooked. The beef was still pink in the middle and slimey. I like a rare steak but not rare ground beef in an enchilada. That is not how it is suposed to come. The beans were as cold as if they came out of the walk in, and the enchiladas had been sitting out so long that the melted cheese had now become hardned and greasy. The food was so salty that we had to constantly gulp down our waters. Our server had never come back to check on us and we had to do one of those little polite waves accross the restraunt to ask her for some more water. We said "please, and thank you so much, we appreciate it" and her response was "I'l just have to go get the pitcher from the back from you guys then I guess."with aheavy sigh and she rolled her eyes and didn't come back for almost 10 minutes. Again we were only 1 of two tables in the entire restraunt. I then watched a couple come in at 8:15 asking for a table to which our server replied "the kitchen is closed." Walk away and ignore them. The sign on the door and on online stated that the restraunt dooes not close until 9pm on week days. The food, I can deal with. But the blatant rudeness of server not only to us but to the other guests was absoultely apalling. When my husband and I got the bill it was 82$. Our server had not comp'd the drinks which I am still happy to pay for, but paying for rancid drinks that we barely touched and the server took off our table that is pretty ridiculous. I am not sure if we will be coming back again because this dining experience was like murphy's law. Everything that could go wrong did. The first time wsa great, but having raw, cold, over salted food on top of rancid drinks with abhorantly rude service makes me think twice about coming back.

Terrible Experience. Do not go. I talked with the manager and she told me that that are somewhat short staffed. But not only was the service terrible the service was worst. waited to get our drinks and food order. We had to wait for our silverware until after the food arrived. The mole enchiladas we ok. My carne gusiada was ok. My wife's Alambre was nothing but bad, more vegetables than meat. the shrimp and beef fajita tasted like they were old. The party next to us left because no one every came to get their order. My wife tells me the woman's restroom was dirty. Do yourselves a favor and don't go.

We were one of three tables. We waited for 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. Finally ordered our food and the 3rd meal came out 13 minutes later than the others. Had to ask 2 times for our tortillas for the fajitas and by the time they finally brought them the fajitas were cold and they couldn’t be eaten. This was our first time here and it was horrible service. We will never be back and will not recommend to anyone. Disappointing way to spend over $100.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but just stopped by for my son's birthday dinner and we ordered quite a bit. My food was cold, my daughter's soup was cold the tomatoes on the salads looked old but the worst part was that there was a baby rodent coming out of the both next to our table right when we were about to leave. Just got to say, never again. Only reason I have 1 star is because our server was a nice person

My husband and I went here for our first date night in over a year. The atmosphere was EXTREMELY loud due to a private event with a live band. We couldn’t even hear each other talk. My husbands food was over cooked, tough, & chewy. When we kindly made it aware to our serve (who was so sweet and kind) she made the manager aware. When the manager approached us she questioned why he didn’t like the food & then made the comment “well you ate half the plate” with a rude tone. He couldn’t even eat half the plate but had to pick through it to find anything worth eating. Instead of trying to make it right she was rude & acted as if she didn’t believe him about the plate of food. We understand that accidents happen when it comes to food & sometimes things can get under/overcooked. It’s the horrible customer service that really did us in. We won’t be back.

I have been here once before when it first opened and decided I needed to come back once it had been open awhile. I won't go back. The waitress didn't talk about the menu items we ordered at all. Three of our five meals were substandard and waitress did not care to understand why its important to check on your customers after you serve them. The lettuce taste like it had just come out of the bag and was not washed. It actually taste like it had some type of spray on it. Definitely not fresh or clean. My food was cold and I couldn't put my finger on it, but it tasted horrible. One of my daughters ordered a tamale from the kid's menu. It wasn't discussed that it was smothered in chili sauce. Besides that we had a few extra experiences. Flies on food and the waitress dropping water as she brought it to our table, which she then barely mopped up and people almost slipped. We won't return at Bastrop location.

What a extremely bad experience. I sat at the bar the bartender immediately asked what I would like to drink, I said give me a water for starters. I also asked for a menu, which she brought me. After 25 minutes she never asked me what I would like to order. She refilled my glass twice, but never ask me anything. However, she spent the whole time talking to other customers. Please train your employees about customer service. Your seafood shrimp fajitas looked really good, but I was never asked if I wanted anything.

Manager was great, waitstaff not so great. She was angry at someone threw our plates down with a plop on table, didn't fill drinks timely, took a long time to get food, food was cold. It would have been good if hot. Needs to get more staff and train them better.

I was so upset cause it was my moms birthday and she did not enjoy it at all. Her stomach hurt after eating there. To top it off the waitress was not welcoming at all. Would not recommend. I wish we had gone to Garcia’s instead.

Watch your bank accounts, we were charged for our table as we should have been which was for 8 people, great prices great service, until a group at our table decided to make a take home order. Then our card was run again for the take home food with no questions asked, this was to be run on a different card per the other party. So the waitress ran there card and the charge dropped off our card. The same day the to go order dropped off our card, our bank account was hit for a second 8 person running of the first charge we were charged therefore now instead of paying $150 for our party of 8 we now are up to $300 for our 1 running experience. Have tried to call the number on the website and it can not be reached. We live out of town and were visiting friends when we took them out and now can't get in touch with this restaurant to get the second transaction reversed,even if we dispute through the bank we have to wait 10 days for the money to get back in the bank. This is not good business practice.

I really miss when this was Nancy's. I can say I'm never coming back here. I went to the restroom, and a young man out of a stall, rinsed his hands, and left. I didn't think much of it, until I sat back at my table and he handed me and my family chips and salsa. Completely unacceptable for an employee to be operating with unclean hands. We were one of 3 tables occupied, and there were tables of employees chit chatting while on their phones. We probably waited around 50 minutes to get our food, and one if our party's members' food was cold. I mean actually refrigerated feeling cold. Just really sad to see what used to be such a great establishment not even trying.

When food came out it was cold not even warm. The server was difficult regarding it. If this had a 0 score that is what it really is. I do not recommend. My enchiladas had what was supposed to be a cremosas sauce and tasted like flour. Not a pleasant experience from service to food.

We have been going here for a while. Love it. Nice prices for great food. When we went to order online today I noticed the prices went WAY up. But, I was fine with it because I want to support local businesses. But, when I got there, there was an additional charge that I thought would be $3, it ended up being $7. Fine. I paid it even though the website stated it was $3. Then we got the food home. Smaller portions and the chicken and beef were super dry. The sausage was just burnt. Sorry, but I doubt we will be back. I don't mind paying extra, but I do mind when you decrease the quality of what I am paying more for.

When we were seated the hostes removed a drink from our table but didn't clean it. The food is mediocre, at best. Most from cans or boxes. And the portions are very small. We were not offered a drink menu and when we got one there was no prices. ($15.00 for a drink with very little alcohol!) No wonder there are no priced. I will say that the service was acceptable, not great but not bad.

Service was good, but the food was plain, not so much of a seasoning. I didn’t like queso with the ground beef as beef had some unpleasant smell to my taste and again no seasoning. Also it smells like chemicals in the restaurant.

I wanted chicken fajitas without the sides, so I asked my server can I have that? She said yes, it will be $2 less. I said great. So the original price on the menu for Chicken Fajitas says $17.99. When I went to pay for my check, it displayed the chicken fajitas at $17.99. So I asked the gentleman who was checking me out, do I get the $2 off because I had no sides, he said the $2 was taken off, that the chicken fajitas are $19.99. I said that’s not what the menu says, and asked him to go get a menu. He did not, so I grabbed one to show him that it says $17.99. He says that they haven’t updated the menu. So is it my fault for thinking I was getting Fajitas for $17.99? What other items on the menu are not updated? Or was he lying to not remove the $2? I don’t care about the $2, it’s the principle. You could have easily said, ‘oh I’m sorry, I can see how that was confusing and our mistake for not updating the menu- let me take $2 off of your order’ But no, he stood by his ignorance and doesn’t know customer service. I’m highly disappointed in how he handled the situation. Received no tip. The plate of chicken by the way was bland, dry, and had no flavor. Do better with the food and your staff. Will not recommend.

I think I got mugged. I ordered 3 carne Asada tacos, and 2 margaritas. $46 Margaritas $8 each no biggie 3 tacos…. $30????? Ask the lady and she says 1 taco is $6.50 each. And she gave me 4… didn’t ask for 4…. My bad I guess I’ll check the menu better next time. I was literally thinking maybe $9 worth of tacos. I still left her $10 so I’m out $56 for 3 tacos and 2 margaritas… Think I’ll go somewhere else next time
