After six years, this was our second visit – and my wife’s original statement, “best burger ever,” still holds true. Friendly staff and delicious burgers. If we return to Bottrop, we’ll definitely stop by again.

We waited until after 3pm to miss the lunch crowd, we did not miss the crowd. Thankfully, they have additional indoor areas. So, accommodations... good. Servers were very friendly and informative. They also have different recipe buns that accentuate the whole burger experience. Jalapeno / cheese bun for me, thank you very much. So, beef good. Really good burger and was made to perfection. If you drive by and your hungry, just stop. You will not regret it, it was really tasty.

It was good and they were quick. Get the sweet potato fries rather than regular for sure. They offer different types of buns, there alright. For the area being so remote it was great

My friend insisted we go here for lunch because he was raving about “the best burger in town.” I immediately hit him with, “But I’m a vegetarian!” Lol. Pulling up to Roadhouse felt like I was about to film a low-budget country music video. The aggressively unpretentious energy was immaculate. The all-dirt parking lot said everything! No curated patio, no aesthetic succulents just straight up vibes and dust. The place was packed at 1 p.m. Our server, Raven, took great care of us from the jump. Rave was very efficient, friendly, and had zero attitude. We ordered a basket of fries, a portobello mushroom burger for me, a cheeseburger, a Philly cheesesteak, upgraded side salads, and, of course, their famous carrot cake to share. Now, let me confess something: As a Californian, I walked in with absolutely zero expectations given the facade. And yet… the fries were perfect. The portobello burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and very satisfying! My friends inhaled their cheeseburger and Philly like they were participating in a competitive sport. Lol. And don’t even get me started with their carrot cake. It was disrespectfully delicious! This was seriously the most humbling “don’t judge a book by its cover” moment I’ve had in a while. Roadhouse doesn’t need any curated lighting or a reclaimed-wood Instagram wall because the food and service speak for themselves. I drove into a dirt lot with skepticism and left faceplanted by my own bias. Consider me corrected, Bastrop!

This was a good place to eat when in Bastrop. Our waitress was excellent and did a great job for a large group. I had a black bean burger with sweet potato fries, and everything was very good. The food was fresh and well prepared. They had an extensive menu, but not much variety for their wine selection.

This place is a very small place. There is not much room inside so it is quaint, but they have a patio you can dine at. My salad was huge and delicious. My family loved their burgers. I will definitely come back to eat when in the area.

We stopped by there today just to try. We got a Philly cheesesteak fries cheeseburger with jalapeño sourdough bun with sweet potato and reg fry mix Chile con queso with chips and chocolate cake. Our waitress was super nice. Welcoming atmosphere food hot fresh and good tasting. Not a bad place at all. Not expensive either.

Food was great! Im expecting and hadnt eaten lunch yet and it was around 330 or so. So, I asked for fries while I decide and upgraded to sweet potatoe fries so I could have something coming soon . A few minutes later I decided on which burger and ordered it. It all came out timely. The fries before the burger as I expected. I was happy! Then when I got the check I was charged 9.00 for the sweet potatoe fries instead of the 1.50 upgrade. The waitress said because I ordered the fries before the burger lol. I didnt protest but that makes no sense lol. So with that I gave the service a 3 and the fact that I had to wait for a to go box for quite a while. Otherwise the food was excellent. Just order your fries at the same time as your burger so you're not overcharged. Lol

I wish I got our waitresses name because she was so sweet and very accommodating to our needs. (Pretty eyes with a piercing) Will for sure come back to dine in this establishment if I’m ever in the area again. I probably wouldn’t order the chili cheese fries just because the shredded cheese seemed too dry for my liking but it had a good flavor to it. The hamburgers are huge but very tasty.

So let me set the scene. I rolled up starving and trying to be efficient like a responsible adult, so I ordered online. The system hit me with a 1:15 pickup time which felt kinda long, but whatever. I figured they were busy. About 45 minutes later I get there and honestly, it looked like a Walmart on Black Friday. Servers sprinting around, tickets literally spilling out of the printer like confetti, people waiting everywhere. I even watched a couple tables get up and leave, and the folks who stayed all had that sad, thousand-yard stare like they’d given up hope. At that point I started wondering if my order even existed. Then they finally found my number and I thought ok cool, progress. Except I didn’t get the “we’re making your food” text until an hour and 45 minutes after I placed the order. At that point I was two seconds from rolling out a sleeping bag and claiming a corner. The servers were super nice though, like genuinely trying their best while the kitchen was clearly hanging on by a thread. After waiting one hour and 48 minutes total, the bag finally hit my hands. Victory. I got home, opened it up, and… the sweet potato fries were room temp. The burger was actually pretty solid though, warm and tasty, so points for that. Honestly, I’m sure this place hits different on a normal day. Lunch might be fine. But the Friday night rush? That’s a no from me. Lesson learned.

We’ve ordered from this place before many times and our orders have turned out perfect, but recently our burgers have been either completely raw patties or medium rare. Which we do not order, we normally order well done cause that’s what we prefer, yet we’ve lately been getting raw patties, and hair in our food. Please be more mindful for pickups because it’s not fair.

Order 2 Chicago style hot dogs about 40 to 50 minutes before pick up got there at 7 o'clock. They were not ready. I waited 24 minutes longer. I walked in the door as a woman was coming out. I said, what's the name on that order? She says it starts with a C i said that's me, she said, i'm very sorry. Your food has been overpriced ever since COVID. Your staff has always been underpaid and I'm guessing, but I don't know that your landlord is the one who wants a percentage of your profits on top of the rent. If you can't run a business equally and profitably, where you're at, then move to a different location and treat your employees right and adjust your prices. I am not coming back. Your employees are not my problem. They're your employees you pay them. I forgot to mention why I put the pictures of the hot dogs if you look closely.One is a full length of the bun, and the other is a regular hot dog.
