Staff is always friendly and upbeat. You can taste the freshness of the food.As the name would suggest they have delicious tacos, but they're entrees are also to die for. Bottom line you can't go wrong choosing Señior taco if your hungry!!

I am very particular about Mexican restaurants so when I walked in here, I was a little skeptical. That all went out the window when I tasted the food. It is delicious! Service was quick and friendly (for the most part) and everything we ordered was correct and hot. I will definitely be going back. The portions are a little small for my liking (I like to have leftovers) but it’s possible they were serving a lunch menu. I don’t know for certain but as a lunch size, it is perfect. For dinner, not so much.

Veronica always knows how to make the Holbrook location feel like such a comfortable and fun place to be!!!! And the food and drinks are AMAZING!!!!

Their complimentary chips and salsa are tasty. (Their housemade sandy-looking salsa is addictive). The rice and beans are tasty. The restroom is clean. (The first indicators of a fine Mexican restaurant.) I like their cheese enchiladas. (They are the hot, baked style.) They sell lots of drinks, but I don't drink; I come for their excellent food. ((If they would offer free Wi-Fi, some customers would return more often, because the area is a 5G deadspot.))

I love their taco salad and shrimp tacos! The margarita flights taste so good (the strawberry one is very tequila forward). Customer Service is awesome look at Juan 😄

We consider this one of our Taco Tuesday spots. I typically get a burrito, taco, enchilada or tostado with a red sangria. The staff is attentive and friendly. They have many tequilas to choose from but since that's not my spirit of choice, I'm just letting you know.

My family and I are loyal customers to the Holbrook Senor Taco! We honestly all look forward to getting some tacos or nachos from here as they are delicious, especially when ordered with a wonderful mango margarita. We catered Señor Taco for my bachelorette party and the girls have not stopped talking about the food. Definitely a great Spinach with Grilled chicken wrap. Loads of fresh spinach leaves! Thin and Tasty toasted wrap really adds to the enjoyment. Makes the texture interesting too. Glad I tried this. Our last visit to the Wading River location, I got the Senor Wrap. That was great too. Now I have two yummy things to look forward to the next time we come here.

Food is consistently good. Nice sized burritos and the steak enchilada's is a great plate. Their Mole sauce is also good but not great..four stars!

I'm originally from California and miss true Authentic Mexican food.. This probably closest thing to home. Carne asada great seasoning and texture... the rolled chicken tacos (called flautas on East Coast) yummm ... Shrimp Tostada eh.. Didnt care for the black beans or red leaf lettuce. Would preferred Pinto and iceberg but overall ok. Very clean establishment friendly staff.

Great Food. Friendly. Double check 2go orders I eat here frequently, and I have always been very satisfied with the quality of their food. They even offer french fries for kids that are selective eaters. The staff is friendly, and whether you dine-in or take-out you'll notice a consistent quality, but be sure to closely inspect your to-go order. Many times I have caught a mistake with the order at least 50% of the time. One good thing is that they are quick to make remedy, and one time even gave me a credit for my next visit. My only real gripe is that they use plastic ware when you dine-in. I realize that it is probably much easier to just throw out the plastic utensils, but a better quality should be given. The forks are extremely flimsy and depending upon your order eating with it is a less than desirable experience.

I really enjoy their food here! I haven't had an opportunity to sit in for a meal so I can only speak to the to go process. Even with the sometimes long wait time for the takeout to be ready after ordering (which I guess shows that other people like it too), this is still one of my favorite places for simple and yummy tacos.

I got a burrito and Buffalo chicken empanadas. Both were pretty good and delivered quickly with door dash.

Ordered through Door Dash. 2 burritos "The Pb" and "Classic Burrito" were very very good (with no meat, no cheese, no sour cream) and satisfying, we liked those. The "Classic" taco was really small and wimpy and we wouldn't order that again, especially for $4, it wasn't even worth $1. Also, DON'T order the "side" of guacamole, you pay $3 and get about 2 minuscule tablespoons worth of guac, a total ripoff with that....

The tacos were delicious came in ordered a bundle of them and a chicken quesadilla, the staff was very friendly the bartender and the young boys at the counter, quesadilla definitely needs more meat I paid for the bigger one it was very light with the meat, over all tasty food I spent $40 in take out this visit

I stopped in to grab some lunch for a friend and myself. The restaurant was spotless with a good atmosphere. I ordered take out and the service was impeccable! The food was prepared quickly. When I got to my friends we sat down and the presentation was perfect, even to go! Food was fresh and delicious!

This place was definitely a good find for tacos. I'll start off with the staff. They were friendly and courteous. I called in at 9:30pm to place a pick up order even though they close at 10p. I got there at 940pm, and they allowed a regular customer to dine in, which is not a common practice! The food was delicious! I definitely recommend it as you won't be disappointed. on to the food, tacos- chicken tacos ordered were delightful. the sauce has just the right amount of spicy, and the chicken isn't overcooked or filled with fat as some of the other taco joints serve. For those who don't like spicy food, order without the sauce. They provide a lemon sauce with the tortilla chips that can be spread over the tacos, which is pretty good. Tostada- The chicken tostada was also delicious. This is best eaten at the restaurant because if taken home, the juices from the veggies will turn the tortilla disc soggy. I opted to have the beans on the side since I had a pick-up order. either way, it was delicious. a must visit for Mexican food in Holbrook.

This was our first visit to Senior Taco, and we were pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent. The staff were very nice and prompt. We didn't have too long a wait to be seated, as two young ladies gave up their table for 4 and moved to a table for 2, so that my party of 4 could sit. Thank you ladies, and we hope you enjoyed those drinks. We had the very tasty BBQ burrito, which is pulled pork, refried beans (choose your beans), sour cream and rice, just delicious, and a perfect size. Also had the enchiladas, Veggie chili bowl and a Mexican Avocado Salad. We were all very happy with our selections and will return soon. -‐----------- Returned a few days later for more of the same, and we were just as happy 😊

The service and setup is perfect. Very comfortable place to dine in. The only thing is that the taste is dull. Unfortunately, taste is the most important to a restaurant. We ordered jalapeno poppers, empanadas, arroz con pollo, and chicken fajita. Everything is very light in spice. Probably some fancy modernized style? Just not what I expected from a Mexican restaurant.

*Update to below Review* - In recent months the staff has changed, a change that hasn't been for the better. There are a few "originals" left and if they are working your chances of a good experience are better...If you are looking for a drink and anyone besides Gabbie is behind the bar...run for the hills. If there is a gentleman behind the bar (there is only one) consider a beer on draft instead. He has not been properly trained which is not his fault but you will waste your money. The food here is still good, that has not changed. But the service is hit or miss. The prices are not crazy but certainly not cheep. That being said, I think they can afford to purchase an industrial dish washer and toss the plastic plates, utensils and upgrade from Styrofoam to go containers. Even napkins seem hard to come by here. They are not readily available unless requested and when you ask you are lucky if you get a few for your table. The last time I was there all they had were the small square bar napkins. In short businesses need to start being held responsible for the service they provide especially when there is a moderately high price tag attached to their products. On top of that they should be more conscious of the environment when selecting utensils and to go containers as well as the health of the patrons. The products that they are using will accumulate in landfills and leach into your food, compromising your health. I'd love to bump this place back up to a four or even five star experience but they have some work to do. . . . This place started off as an okay spot for a quick bite and has grown and become so much better. The menu is filled with delicious food at reasonable prices. They have some unique options there that I love and make some killer drinks. They only thing that could make it better is to get rid of the plastic plates and Styrofoam to go containers. Switching to paper straws would also be great but, hey one thing at a time. I just happen to care about the environment, but the food is great!

The place kinda fell off from 2 years ago, now they get annoyed when you just wanna order at the register instead of being waited on. Like, I know what I want and I don't want to wait a half hour to just be asked for it. Bartender isn't as good either, kinda always gives an attitude. Good food though!.

The way they set up the place is amazing. They were able to take the fact they're located in The Holbrook Commons next to ugly store fronts & made it seem like a great atmosphere outside with plants & wine barrels were top class. The service left a lot to be desired. I think they checked on us 1 time, and the worst part was the amount of time it took for the food to come out. I had to actually make sure they didn't forget us. Plus, the food came out at separate times, so we couldn't even enjoy the food together. The food was actually pretty good, though.

Overpriced for bland and low quality food. There is no reason a chicken quesadilla should be $17. When they owned 1 or 2 stores the food was phenomenal and this was one of my favorite places. Now that they’ve expanded the quality has gone down and the food just does not taste the same and the prices went up.

Super disappointing! Chips are stale! Chimichanga are barely deep-fried and not crispy, don't even get me started on the Biria tacos... This restaurant needs some attention in the food department but the service was great...

Size of shrimp burrito was rather large, but so is the price for it too. Asked for glass of water and informed that the fountain water gun was out of service, but bottled water was available for purchase... I don't think they were giving free refills on bottled water though. We didn't ask. We did get free chips & salsa though. Replacement ceiling tiles could be painted to match existing ones - just a thought.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner, the girl server/hostess was very sweet and friendly with a very welcome attitude. When we took a seat at the table, the table was very rocky and kept moving around so it was a bit annoying but it was tolerable. We ordered beef empanadas for appetizer and cheese plantains which we were very surprised by the size potion as it was very small. Although the taste was somewhat okay, didn’t have a lot of flavor. As for the entrees, my boyfriend ordered beef taco, and I ordered cheese enchiladas, however when the food runner came over to give us our foods, he gave me cheese quesadillas which wasn’t what I asked for so I told him about it politely and he said it was no problem, and called over our server, and he was very nonchalant and had a change of attitude about it and insisted that it was what I asked for when it wasn’t so I asked him very politely if he could send it back and have it be replaced with the right order which he left and didn’t take the other order back. After about a full 15-20 minutes of waiting, I finally get my food, and it wasn’t good. The rice was hard and crunchy, and the enchilada sauce tasted old, and the food was cold so we decided to leave and get food elsewhere as our meals weren’t pleasant. The female waitress/hostess gave us our bill and they didn’t take the quesadilla meal off of the receipt when we went over it of being the wrong order. So she takes the bill and brings it up to the male waiter whom came back and spoke to us about it with a rude tone and attitude, and we had to tell him multiple times that it was the wrong order which he finally gave up after a few minutes of arguing and went back and fixed the bill. I personally wouldn’t recommend coming here as the appetizer portions are extremely small and yet very pricey. The meals weren’t great so I don’t recommend this place, I suggest on looking into an another Mexican restaurant.

ordered food for take out, didnt do delivery thats offered until 3, we picked up. Food looked like it was throw together.. literally. Chorzio taco had 3.. THREE pieces in the taco and probably 2 cups worth of lettuce on it. They messed up 2 taco orders and when we called to let them know, they said you have to come back and pick up your food we dont have a delivery driver. Woman on phone was nice, but claimed that the taco orders were correct and must of been a mis communication. Rest of the food was not that good .Like I said, thrown together. We order often from here and the last 4 times we have had negative experiences. We wont be going back.

The food is decent, but the lobster taco had fully frozen lobster meat. Then they charged me for a taco that no one ordered. They also charged me 3% automatically for credit card transaction without knowing if I was paying cash. There’s much better Mexican restaurants.

The food was less than mediocre, they put potatoes in everything - not a fan 👎. The chorizo tacos were greasy and the meat had no flavor. Taco Bell would have been an improvement. The service was ridiculously slow for a chain restaurant. The atmosphere was ok, tables are too close to each other. I don't think I'm going back.

Be careful when paying the bill. They include a 20% tip. Waitress told us the amount of the bill but never gave a paper Check until I asked for it. That’s when I saw the 20% tip added plus a credit card fee. Food and drinks are good but what a scam.

Just returned home from picking up my dinner there tonight. Although the food may be good, the customer service is terrible. When I ordered my dinner I was told there would be ready in 15 minutes. Because it is Halloween, I know that they're busy and I came an extra 10 minutes later. When I arrived my food was not yet ready. When it was ready, the order was wrong. I waited an extra 10 minutes for them to fix the order. The girl at the counter never offered me a refund on the difference of the money between the 2 items. When I reminded her that the item I ordered was less than what she charged me, her response was Oh it's only such-and-such amount...It's not a big difference. None the less, she gave me my change back, did not even apologize for the wait or the mix up, and when I asked her for a side of sour cream, she told that she would have to charge me 75 cents. So not only did I have to wait, not only was my order messed up, but the lady at the counter was rude and couldn't even give me a side of sour cream. Terrible!

Awesome place great flavor and I’ve been ordering the same thing for awhile. Chicken quesadilla. Except It’s always like 8 small pieces of chicken and loads of cheese. The meat portions are just not at all worth it for the price.

Service was extremely slow. Like turtle speed or the server just plain forgot about us. Took over 45 minutes to get 3 empanandas and 4 tacos. Tacos had hardly any filling as well as the empanadas. People were sitting at the tables outdoors smoking Marijuana, right at the entrance, blowing it into my 9 year Olds face and management didn't see a problem with this. When I received the check, there was a credit card processing fee on the bill. Called the server over and said I haven't paid yet, why is there a fee? I paid cash and the fee was removed. Now I wonder how many people paying cash at this establishment but being charged a 3% credit card transaction Fee. I will not be returning to this location, ever.

We’ve been coming here since we moved out to this area which has to be at least eight years. Haven’t been here in a while. What a disappointment. Food was a second thought for them started off with the waitress not bring me the right margarita which she was fine. I understand so they brought back the right one then I asked for a burrito bowl and brought me back a burrito that my husband already got his food. He didn’t wanna eat without me so it was ice cold, it looked like dog food. They unwrap the burrito bowl plop some cheese on it, put it under the broiler And it was visually the most undesirable looking food and the taste was so off. We will never go back again. It’s a shame because back in the day the food was great.

I ordered take out from inside. Looks nice, small bar area to sit, drink and eat. Staff was nice and people in and out. I ordered a Fajita Burrito with pulled pork. When I cut into it it was loaded with rice, beans, red pepper, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and a tiny piece of pulled pork at the end (bottom of pic next to red pepper). Hmm, is this supposed to be like a prize at the end? $10 for a collection of some of the cheapesst ingredients on the planet....minus the pork, which, there was little to none.

We have six people at our table but they wouldn’t bring enough chips and our appetizer took forever to bring out. Then we waited for our food to come out and that took forever l. But some nice younger server we didn’t catch her name tried her best to make things far as service right. But the whole experience made us late coming back from our lunch break to work.

I used to go here when it first opened up and since then the food has gone down hill. The servings are very skimpy and not a whole lot of variety goes into to their Tacos 🌮. The best thing is the Margarita. They need to offer substantial, better quality food for the price and stop skimping. That’s why I stopped going as a regular. The size of servings got smaller and prices went up. Such a disappointing shame. So many other Mexican food options to choose from though.

⭐️⭐️ We stopped by this restaurant hoping to have dinner, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing before we even got seated. When my boyfriend and I arrived, we asked for a table for two. The waiter pointed us to a small high-top table with two chairs. I noticed there was an empty regular table with four chairs and asked if we could sit there instead. The waiter explained that those tables were being saved for larger parties. Since the restaurant was not full and the table was empty, this felt a bit unwelcoming. We decided to leave rather than sit at the high table. First impressions matter, and flexibility with seating — especially when tables are available — can really make a difference in a guest’s experience.

I wouldn’t even give one star but you have to to get here. As a father of two small hungry children, it was frustrating to see us get looked over - thrice - by whomever was supposed to help us. A family of six that walked in right after us and immediately got taken care of. This place doesn’t deserve my business.

Ordered a beef taco and 2 peices of chicken were in it... this not tge 1st time this has happen. By a Long shot If they can't keep the meats separate, I have little faith they are using clean, acceptable means of storing /cooking their food. It's gross the more I think about it.

I was excited to get the queso that I’ve had in the past, only to find it’s changed to plain fake nacho cheese, instead of queso blanco with peppers. No more flavor, no communication that the recipe changed, just handed something I don’t wanna touch. no need to keep ordering.

So I really Like the food @ Senior Taco, I go to several locations depending on where I am. One thing that really bothers me is when I ask for Sauce and I get a hard time over it. Charge me for it, I don't care !! The snotty girl at the counter here seems to treat it like a game. Not once or twice but regularly. No Problem in Wading River or Mt Sinai but Holbrook has this snotty young lady. Get rid of her before she chases more customers away!!!

We order from them at least once or Twice a week to deliver to our office the staff is rude. There are items that are missing from our orders and when they have a price increase which seems like a lot they will not honor the price on the menu. It is a shame since the food is good and now we have a bad taste in out mouth the customer should always come first. Sorry Senor Taco but this will be my last order from you. Good luck with your bad attitude.

If you want Mexican-inspired American food this is the place for you. Not authentic. Tortillas fresh from the fridge, not hand made. No refried beans which Mexicans eat more than black beans. No tortas. And their pico de Gallo is more like a salad. Service wasn’t good either. Overpriced also! Wouldn’t recommend.

Never get delivery from this location. Had to repeat our order several times over the phone and correct each time she got it wrong (about 3 times). $30 delivery min, they kept giving us the wrong total making us tack on 3 bottles of soda just to make our min, was short 1 dollar and made us order the 3rd soda. Told us the wrong total via phone, gave the delivery guy money that was told over the phone plus tip, guy came back bc the total was wrong. Ordered queso dip and was charged for it, they sent cheese instead. We will never order from here again.

Ordered chicken finger app, came in a paper bag, shrimp chimichanga and a burrito bowl… for the amount paid I would have expected at least two bags of chips… which by the way was less than a sandwich bag full. Would not recommend ….and will never go again.

Food was good or what came of it? Ordered a large Guac 8oz that came with the smallest paper bag with literally 6 chips. Street taco with shrimp was $9 for 1! (Not specified on Uber Eats) Silly me I thought it would be 3 since street tacos are typically small. All in all. Entire order was $40. Ridiculous. I called to see if that was the norm. Customer service was horrible. Nothing they can do. Def never ordering from them again & you shouldn’t either.

DO NOT EAT HERE. I never change my reviews, but this place has gone from bad to worse. I've been a customer of seńor tacos for over 7 years starting from their nesconset location and continuing to their Holbrook location after I moved here 5 years ago. I noticed a decline in food quality and portions a while back, but it wasn't until a recent incident where we ordered a chicken nachos and steak fajita platter which used to be our go to order. First of all the nachos were not edible. The salt on these things were so bad I didn't allow my son to take another bite after he had complained. And the portion of steak for the fajita was laughable. My partner and I used to always share a plate for years, and this was just not even enough for one. I called up and complained and was told to come down and to my surprise the young man was trying to make excuses for the salty food and the small portions. It's sad seeing a place run by young kids being run into the ground. This place has lost a long time client forever.

yesterday I went with my friend The Burrito California was very nasty. In side de burrito one sticker paper. And only big tortilla and fries potato's. Bad service and bad food.🤮

I wanted tres leches cake so badly and this place is the closest. I don’t think they know what tres leches cake is. There was nothing cake about it. So disappointed

One star is generous. I came here for cinco de mayo during happy hour and the food and service were terrible! We waited sooo long for the margarita flight and when we got it the drinks were not evenly poured. One cup barely had anything in it and the bartender told us it was because there was less ice in that cup. Yet somehow the flights for other customers were full. We ordered 2 tacos and that took even longer to come to us even though other food orders that were whole meals were coming out faster. I had to ask about our drinks and food several times. We only had a flight and 2 tacos. We were sitting there for 2 hours. Ridiculous. Then when I got the bill the waiter asked, “Did you ever get those tacos?” It took everything in me to not laugh in his face. I will never be returning back. The drinks were lacking and the food is flavorless. Save your time and money.

Check your receipt always here because they will charge you a credit card fee , it has happened to be over 5 times i will pay in cash , and then check the receipt and say why did u charge me for credit card fee if i paid cash and they always say sorry but its really a scam!!! Also after lastnight i will never eat here again. I placed an order at 6pm they said it would be a 40 min wait i guess since it was a friday night no problem. I get there at 6:40 they looked at me crazy then when i said my order , and the kid says oh im sorry we forgot to put your order in. So i said well i got 2 small toddlers at home this is nuts waiting to eat. Is there anything you can do he said NO. Then i wait another 40 min and i ask for green sauce he hands me one sauce for 3 quesadillas 2 burritos and 4 tacos . I said really and he rolled his eyes! This place is a joke dont waste your time or money.

Worst Mexican food I ever tasted! I ordered take out for the first and last time here. The beef tacos smelled and tasted like dog food. The shrimp taco was disgusting. The rice and beans were terrible. I ordered Tres Leches and was given cheesecake with raspberry sauce on top. When I called and asked why I was given cheesecake; I was told that is their version of Tres Leches. Next time I'll go to Taco Bell over this place.

Credit Card Fee 3.0%, really Senor Taco? Who’s the genius that implemented this policy? Absolutely pathetic to put this on the customer. If you cannot afford the 1.5-3.5% processing fees as the merchant just don’t accept credit cards. I do understand the $1-$3 increase on most of your menu items due to inflation but I also own a small business with my wife and would absolutely never put this burden onto the customer. Extremely distasteful, Patchogue village is 5 minutes down the road with tons of competition, we will go there for Mexican food. There are so many ways around not actually charging a fee to maximize your return on each seat at your restaurant, this is just poor taste and disrespectful to the customers willing to spend money at your business. Female Staff working at the bar on Tuesday morning shift is very rude and unprofessional.Foods are okay but not great.

Save your money. Overpriced garbage. Meat is always overdone. Serving sizes are incredibly small. They gave us a child size handful of chips for an order of queso which tastes like water. There’s no way there’s actual cheese in here. Never again.

In ordered the chimichurri taco El Dorado style with no radishes over the counter from server Valentina which is on the receipt. My taco had julienne strips of radish and the cojito cheese was no where to be found. And it was wrapped in the soft taco with out refried beens and cheese. Disappointed as I orders it there and brought it home. The chimichurri sauce was tasteless. They need to train there staff. I ordered 3 beef tacos for my grandson and they were fine along with the Churros that were delicious. I wish I took a picture of my taco to see how it wasn’t what I ordered :(

I got a takeout order of chicken and rice. A full priced plate, came out to about $20, and all I got was a scoop of rice with a few tiny strands of chicken in it. It was maybe $2 worth of food. It tastes good, but it was definitely a huge rip off. When you order a dinner plate, you should be getting an actual dinner, not a kids side dish. Never again.

Ordered 4 ground beef Burritos. There was literally a spoon full of ground beef inside all 4 Burritos ! Very disappointed . Thought maybe just bad luck . Week later put in the same order and same thing less then a spoonful of ground beef all rice and Lettuce!

Unorganized and confused. Ordered queso fundito for take-out over the phone. After I paid I realized it was not in the bag. I mention this and they told me they can’t do the queso fundito to-go.. couldn’t mention this over the phone? Or before I paid? so instead we ordered regular queso and literally got the fake Tostitos nacho cheese straight from the jar… could have bought this at the supermarket for $2 but instead I paid $10. Came with the smallest bag of chips I’ve ever seen too. Never again.

Food tasted good but after me and my lady went home it was a disaster. We both had the same plate so ik thats probably what did it. Do not eat here unless you want to be in the bathroom 24/7 after consuming.

I went in to get my food and my burrito was ice cold. Usually the food is good here. They didn’t offer to remake it just gave me the money back, and the attitudes on the workers here are extremely poor. I’m never coming to this location again.

Ordered out for Mother's day, first all chips were stale, 2nd all food was ice cold, 3rd the plantains 6 pieces for like$7 never in my life! Usually at any other Mexican restaurant it's pieces or long diagonal slices NOT theses slices , so it was over 1$ per slice,and we are not talking normal plantain size these are small banana slices, will NEVER go here again! Mole tasted like brown sugar paste. Save your money and go somewhere decent!
