I've been going to this spot for about a year and some change now (about to make two years). I must state that their pizza is better than Carlos bakery pizza (we went to the original spot in Hoboken as a matter of fact). they are always friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful. I want to thank Doris and the staff for their hard work!
On Friday I placed an order over the phone, when the order arrived it was incomplete. I called Rosa’s and Lori was amazing. She apologized and took the time to credit me back, she even took it a step further and called me today to let me know that I have been credited back since it was Friday night they couldn’t really do much on that night. My daughter loves going to Rosa’s, we love the staff and of course the food. Thank you for always making sure we’re taking care of. You barely see that any more!
My experience when I first came to Rosa’s was a very interesting experience because there’s a lot of good pizza places around NY.There’s Domino’s,Papa John’s,Pizza Hut,Blaze Pizza and other pizza spots etc etc.Rosa’s may be a small business in Bayside,But the pizza is phenomenal and make sure you come early before it gets packed(Fun fact:Amber’s my favorite employee lol)
Probably the best pizza joint in the area. The décor is modern and new and the seating was comfortable. The pizza counter has tons of choices to choose from; veggie pizza, grandma slices, panini, calzones and much much more. The staff are also friendly and there's sit down service if you want something other than pizza. As for the pizza, you can ask them to get it extra hot if you need when they reheat it in the oven and hot pizza is always more delicious than cold pizza! We got the hot honey, chicken cutlet and broccoli, caprese slice, veggie slice, Hawaiian and a few more. My favorite of the lot was the grandma slice only because I love square pizza. A close runner up was the chicken cutlet and broccoli; great crunch on the chicken cutlet paired with the softened broccoli was great. I love coming here and won't stop coming back!
Rosa’s is a solid spot for a slice in Bay Terrace Shopping Center. They’ve got a wide variety to choose from. I tried the regular slice and garlic knots—both were delicious. The pizza is generous in size with a nice crispy crust, though the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste.
We ordered from here for a group of people. The food came on time and was hot. The garlic knots were amazing. The Sicilian was one of the best that I ever had. The crust was not dried out or hard. This would have been a five star review. One minor problem. We ordered a grandma vodka Sicilian pie. I would definitely order again, but I will definitely check the pizza next time before the delivery driver leaves.
Got me a chicken roll. Bland. Not enough sauce. How come the guys who take your orders always so serious at every location. Cashiers seem to be the friendliest.
My regular slice was doughy. The sauce was ok so was the 🧀. The Sicilian was way better. They should be more approachable. No one is smiling at this place. Must be an unhappy place to work at, perhaps?
I ordered an upside down slice. It was the last one. The guy says oh no it’s not the last one, it’s actually two slices and slices it in half and charges me for two slices. Pizza places always have their slices pre-cut. The workers were laughing about it. Very unprofessional. The pizza was very good, has a nice crisp, quality sauce and cheese. I’d rate it 8.25 out of 10. It’s just a few dollars but I won’t be a returning customer.
Food was definitely enjoyable and good, but the service was pretty rude. The guys at the counter were making faces whenever my pregnant girlfriend and I asked for a specific topping on the beef patty when I asked for some packs of ketchup they looked at me like if I had two heads. The two ladies at the counter are more busy having a conversation with one another, then paying attention to the customers I asked for a fountain cup and she forgets to give me it, I have to ask again. I went to get a refill on my drink and they told me they’re currently cleaning the machine.. this is at 8 PM and they close at 10 PM
I’m a teenager, and every single time I go to this Rosa’s, the staff treats me with a horrible attitude, even though I’m always alone and quietly waiting for my food. I’ve never brought a big group before, and every time I go, I’m alone with my mom waiting for me in the car. I brought a friend this time and we said we were looking at the options because my friend had never been and didn’t know what she wanted. We looked at the menu online and I went to order at the register since they always tell me to order at the register, and the guy behind the counter told us that “we wanted to look around but we kept walking”, meanwhile we were waiting in line. The food is good but it doesn’t make up for the bad attitude of some of the staff.
Won't be coming back here ever again. If I were you, I'd stay away as well. There are other pizza spots in Bayside who are just as similar quality. However, here's what left a bad taste in my mouth: I got my pizza and sat down (dined in). Sat near the spot where the staff enters into the kitchen/enters to work behind the counter. Heard some older guy call to a younger lady that he wanted to get Chinese food for lunch and asked if she knew of a spot. Then said: Do they have live animals? Meow meow Do they have meow meow fried rice? Cat, mouse, monkey, rats Clearly, that caught my attention, but I couldn't see who was saying it, so I hung around. What made him stop saying this to the young lady was their phone rang and she had to go pick it up. That's when he came out to grab a drink from the soda fountain. It was a older, balding guy with gray hair on the sides. Wearing a gray polo and apron. Working back of house, not at the counter. Considering that Bayside is very diverse community; would you want to patronize a place that ridicules people's ethnicity? What happens if this guy decides he's in the mood for Mexican food? or Indian food? Gotta dish out a bunch of slurs, ridicules you first before he eats your food?
I will not be coming back. It is very uncomfortable interacting with the staff. They are rude and not willing to help. I asked what a couple different slices were and the attitude and tone of their response was terrible. Excuse me for not being a pizza expert. The pizza wasn’t that good for the staff to act like they do.
Very Rude staff. You never know who is willing to take an order. You just have to catch eye contact with someone behind the counter with dirty looks on their faces and they won’t even offer to help or say anything. The pizza isn’t anything special and prices are high for the area.
Rudeness and attitude each time from the counter workers. They act as if ordering something is an inconvenience. The quality of their pizza and rolls has significantly gone down in the past year. The slices have become very doughy. The chicken has become very dry. And they will barely heat anything else. And if you ask to heat it up more they get offended that you would even ask.
The pizza isn’t even good for the staff to be so rude. I came on a weekday around 7pm ish and all the men behind the counter were so nasty. The second I walked in they were annoyed and you could tell didn’t want to help me which made me feel so so uncomfortable. Then he got annoyed at me because he messed up my order!! CRAZY! Which my order was so simple few slices and 6 knots!! Never again will I come Back here! Not a fan !! OH ALSO a family had a child and the child was being a little loud but that’s what children do sometimes….and the man behind the counter kept making comments about the family out loud! Was so rude and unprofessional !
I usually don’t write reviews but I have to. Let’s start with the service, the service was awful. The worker didn’t even say hi to us when we walked in. Once we were ready to order our pizza, he said “ hurry up I don’t have time for this. “ So I said “ okay, no need to be so rude. “ After I said my order I went to the register, the worker by the register was really rude. I told him what I ordered and he said “ you should get more you aren’t spending enough money. “ I just ignored it cause it was my friends birthday party. He said “ how many garlic knots did you order? “ So I said “ the worker didn’t give me a choice, what are my options? “ He said “ 3 or 6. “ I wanted 3 so I did. The worker by the register told the other worker that I wanted 3. After I payed, I looked over the receipt and he charged me for 6 garlic knots. After the worker screams my name, I finally walk up to grab my food and he said “ you can walk a little faster. “ So I said “ excuse me? “ And he just ignored me. I said “ excuse me, I ordered 3 garlic knots and I got charged 6. “ None replied. Once I looked at my order, they gave me 6 garlic knots when I wanted 3, and I got charged for 6 garlic knots before. I just didn’t even say anything cause I knew it would be something big. Once I starting eating my pizza, I saw a huge hair in my food. I called over the worker and he said “ I don’t have time for this so hurry up. “ I just ignored it. I couldn’t even get a fountain drink because the machine was broken. And the best part, after I threw out my food in the garbage, a huge roach jumped out of the pail. I just left after. With everything that happened, they just lost one customer. If you want to be spoken to like trash, please come to this place. The workers are very rude
DO NOT EAT HERE! Unfortunately this will be my first and last time going to this place. First, I had an issue with my pizza and instead of replacing the slice with a new one, the owner was completely rude and disrespectful to me about the situation. Giving me an attitude when I was having an issue. I work in customer service and you should always do right by the customer and not give attitudes. All his employees wanted to help me but they had to ask the boss in charge and he was the worst. Just didn’t care. I left there super disappointed. Instead of helping me fix the issue, he now lost a customer for life. I left with my pizza in a cardboard box. The worst part was when I got home, I found an ant and small cockroach in the box. I never even tried the pizza I was so disgusted.
I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at this place. While eating my pizza, I found a piece of cardboard and tape baked inside the crust (I have photos as proof). This is not only extremely unhygienic but also dangerous. What made it worse was the staff’s reaction. Instead of apologizing or showing any concern, they dismissed the situation completely. On top of that, I was met with rude and discriminatory comments because I am Asian. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and deeply offensive. No customer should ever have to experience such poor hygiene and blatant disrespect. I will never come back here, and I hope others think twice before supporting a business that treats people this way.
