It is BBB. Best pizza on the Bell blvd, Bayside.
I absolutely love this place! This was the first NY pizza I ever had (when I was only about 1 1/2 years old) and it's still my favorite! The pizza has the perfect balance of cheese and sauce so that it's not too cheesy. The sauce is just amazing, the cheese isn't super greasy and thick, and the crust is great too. The pizzaria itself has so much character with all of its sports pictures, posters, and signatures on the wall, and everyone that works there is very friendly. VI truly is the best!
Very friendly. Food was okay. My buffalo slice was floppy but taste good. And the beef patty was regular. Inside is big and clean. Restroom too!
GREAT pizza place just 23 mins by cab from the airport! We had a 3.5 hour layover and wanted to get pizza and we are so glad we did. The guys were awesome and PETE was so welcoming and we felt like regular. Thank you so much for the amazing pizza and welcoming environment. Sicilian Style👍🏻👍🏻 Spicy Chicken 👍🏻👍🏻 Hawaiian 👍🏻👍🏻
This place in the Bayside area offers truly delicious pizza. Considering that pizza is no longer an inexpensive food option, it's difficult to complain about the increasing price per slice. It is worth noting that parking can be challenging due to the high level of activity in this bustling area.
Best pizza ! I have been eating their Sicilians for over 30 years, and they will never grow old! Every bite is truly like time travel back to the 1980's! Try them and you too will become a fan, I promise!!! Love you guys at VI!
BEST WHITE PIE EVER. If you have to try anything try the white pie because the put SO MUCH RICOTTA on the pizza unlike a lot of ither places that just put dollops on top. Also their garlic knots are TO DIE FOR. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Perfect snack for a cold day.
My daughter and I go all around Queens NY and any other places in NYC..we are always critiquing califlower crust pizza (we can't have gluten) let me tell you.. WOW WOW WOW ABSOLUTELY DELICIOSO!!!!!! the crust was thin and crispy..and the sauce .omg.. super tasty and flavorful!! I have ordered their califlower crust pizza with onions before.. it's always delicious!!! So it's time to write a review...I actually called them back to praise their pizza..not too close to my house..but absolutely will drive the 15 mins to get their pizza!!! If you are looking for the best CALIFLOWER CRUST PIZZA..THIS PLACE IS IT!!!!
Some of the best pizza I've ever had! We had the Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Chicken Tomatoe. The crust and toppings are both amazing. We were just passing through when we stopped here, the people that live in the near by neighborhood are very lucky to have access to such great pizza.
Old NYC style pizzeria with terrific pizza..my fav is the one with melted mozzarella, basil and rich red sauce but all are delicious.used tobe pizza only, haven't tried the new calzone line yet. Friendly service and sports figures of yesteryear adorn the walls. The usual Formica everywhere. A good pizza joint.
The Margarita pizza is simply the best pizza in the world! Really, it is a must. I recommend ordering a whole pizza and sharing it onsite. The Sicilian is excellent also and fresh slices are always available. The cheese is fresh, sauce is generous, and owners make it with "love" : ) Its all they do....pizza! Must try!
Super good food and the staff was nice and quick. Also was easy to pick out a pizza to eat because of the simplicity of the pizza display, you can see price, name, and the pizza itself.
Amazing old school pizza joint in bayside. Great staff and food
I’ve eaten at many pizzerias around LI and Manhattan. I’d put this place in the top 5 and having one of the best margaritas. City pizza is not better than LI, to each their own though . I will definitely be coming back.
Old school pizzeria set up. Wonderful service. Amazing Sicilian slice and at a great price. Old school hidden gem wish I had a place like this back home. Eastern long island. Will definitely be back when in the area.
This pizzeria has been serving up the best regular and specialty pies since for as long as I can remember. The customer service is always most welcoming and makes you feel like your part of a food family. My personal recommendations are the chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, regular cheese slice, or any of their selections of grandma style or sicilian slices. Not to mention their fountain sodas are great, the ice is pretty unique and a likable quality! Well, that’s my review! Go visit them! Get a couple of their slices, or heck, get a pie, you surely won’t regret it. They have that great classic NEW YORK pizza taste. Oh, and the garlic knots are to die for…
This is my favorite pizza spot so far. It is on beautiful Belle Boulevard, has an amazing atmosphere with a bathroom, and great pizza by the slice with specialty options.
Been here several times and will continue coming back. I love their pizza and chicken rolls. Shout out to Anthony! Great conversation and super friendly. Overall great food, clean, friendly staff.
The pizza is AMAZING! Buttery dough, light and fluffy. Not over priced at all. The upside down pizza is amazing just as their sicilian and spicy chicken pizza. Garlic knots are fluffy and actually taste like garlic knots, not bread with a tiny bit of flavoring like other pizzerias. Definitely a must go to place. Would absolutely recommend it all over again
They have the Best Pizza ever. Used to go there when my daughter Sarah was young. They never skimp on cheese. Every mouth watering bite the mozzarella cheese stretches. So ,so, so flavorful I have to stop thinking about it since I do not live in New York anymore. I only hope I can enjoy a VIP pizza before I leave this Earth.
Fantastic neighborhood spot. Pizza is delicious and the service is excellent. Pete and the guys will take good care of you. My dad used to take me here as a young kid growing up in bayside, and now I come here 25 years later as an adult living in the area. Memories for generations
Years ago I forgot my wallet and they let me eat and leave without paying. Did comeback with the bill + tip but I am very 🙏 grateful. Upside down slice is a must.
I've been a V.I. customer for 45 years! The service is friendly and fast. The Sicilian is the best in Queens The owner...Luigi? He is one of the nicest people.
The pizza crust is delicious I ate 3 different kinds of pizza and all of them were delicious 👍👍 Part 2 I just had their sausage roll! I work part time as a pizza delivery driver and that's definitely high on my list of the best ones iv had. Perfect balance of cheese to sausage ratio.
What can I say, this place is still serving that perfect authentic slice of NYC pizza. This place has been around forever, I try to stop by and grab a slice anytime I'm craving pizza because it's just so worth it. It's still has that old school pizza shop feeling, so it's also ideal to sit and just eat it there as well. The flavors are consistent and the price is superb ranging from $3 for a regular slice. If you're in the neighborhood, you def wanna stop here and grab a slice!
One of the best slices in town. Crust is always on point. Crispy on the bottom every time without getting burnt.
Been coming here since I've been in elementary school and the pizza quality has always stayed at its peak. Amazing Sicilian slices and love their pepperoni slices too.
The sweetest staff, they were so patient while I was looking through the selection of slices. Sicilian was obviously a must and it did NOT disappoint. I wish I got two slices of it instead of one! Hawaiian was decent good, but wouldn't get it again. I'd rather an extra Sicilian slice. Well worth the price!
I have lived in NY my entire life. My passion for pizza is top notch. I have tried pizza from all 5 borrows. I consider VI to be in my top 3 slices city wide. Which means top world wide. Highly recommend taking time to give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed I promise you. Better than most. I grew up in Bayside but I go out of my way to stop in. Thanks for your time to listen.
atmosphere, hey its a pizza place. the best Sicilian slice anywhere without a doubt. prices fair these days. The guys behind the counter are always friendly and makes you feel like your taken care of.
Friday August 1st we took out a Sicilian pie from VI Pizza in Bayside. Tasted just as good as when I used to live in Bayside 30 years ago.!!!
First pizza place I've tried in Bayside. I chose this place because it has the most ratings/review on Google. It didn't disappoint. I got the upside down and buffalo slice. They were both very good. They were chewy but crispy and had good flavor all the way to the crust. I planned to eat just half of each pizza and save the rest for later but ended up eating them all. Weirdly, I didn't feel gross or bloated like I did when I eat more than one pizza from other places. Definitely will get pizza from here again.
This is my favorite pizzeria. We usually order half plain, half pepperoni with ham.
Look, it's a pizza place, it's Bayside. If you need a good piece of pizza, go here. My dog and I went each of us had two slices. We were very happy
I only had the Sicilian slice. It was delicious. I would love to try a regular slice, I was just too full. Their Sicilian slice is cheesy and doughy perfection.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. Thats what I have to say about this place. Some of the beat pizza I’ve ever had. Workers are very kind and helpful. Service is incredibly fast. Takes like 3-5 minutes to get a slice after ordering. Every time the worker gives me my change back, I throw it right into the tip jar. It might just be because I’m a sucker for upside down slices, but their upside down is hands down the best I’ve had. Same as the sicilian. I don’t know why but square shaped pizzas just hit me a different way, but VI is on its own level. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Bayside area.
Fantastic. There’s nothing more you can ask for in an authentic nyc pizzeria. These guys do everything right, the ingredients are fresh and the vibes are friendly. Grandma slice is a must try and so is the upside down slice.
Simply the best pizza you can get. The staff is fantastic and every single thing is super fresh. They have affordable deals aswell that I really enjoy. Definitely ill agree this pizzeria is a local gem 💎
Just had an amazing Margherita pizza! The crust was perfectly crispy. You guys should definitely try it.
I had never been here before, I was waiting for a class to start and as soon as I walked in and saw the orange benches and all the baseball memorabilia, I knew the pizza was going to be good. And it was! But that's not why I'm here. I sat in this pizza shop watching every single person who walked into that shop Greet the guys behind the counter with so much enthusiasm, love, and appreciation. The guys behind the counter were talking to customers who are sitting at the tables, everyone asking " how are the kids?" Sharing tales and stories about their houses. There was even a mother and child who walked in, the kid wanted some kind of pizza that they were out of and the guy behind the counter was trying to figure out how to make this kids chicken pizza dream come true lol . Then, a woman walked in with so much enthusiasm to the guys and vice versa and she wrote a poem for one of them. She ended up reading the poem and everyone behind the counter stayed quiet. Gave her their full attention, they even asked the people around the counter if they wanted to listen... Everyone stayed quiet and listened. Then we all applauded. WHAT THE HECK KIND OF MAGICAL MOMENT LOL DID I EXPERIENCE? I ended up leaving the pizza shop feeling so full of love. That's what you get when you care about your community. Eventually I left the shop almost at the exact same time as the poet and I shared my experience with her. Her name is Jessica Lou And she also wrote a book of poetry. The video is the moment she was reading her poetry.
Very good pizza, like how it used to be growing up here in NYC decades ago. Quality is consistent and excellent! Deserves 10 stars!
Amazing, quality pizza. Classic ny slices. Aside from the delicious pizza, the service is incredible. The tall, slim build guy (might be owner?) is incredibly kind and patience, even when customers don’t show the same back. A local favorite for the food and service.
This place has been on my bucket list for years. Everyone I know who has eaten there has great things to say about their food. They all recommend the Sicilian slice but rave about everything. Today I had the opportunity to stop by and I was impressed beyond belief. Had two slices of Sicilian and a Sicilian pie to go. Outstanding! Look at these pictures…….needless to say, I’ll be going out of my way to get their pizza from now on. Only a select few pizzerias hold that kind of status in my book, which really says a lot.
A nice nostalgia feel about the Pizzeria I was in this evening. I have tasted a lot of Sicilian pizza but nothing like this. Call them "RAGU" because it is definitely in the sauce and it was delicious. Nice amount of seating on a cold night. The pizza hit the spot, and it was darn good. His and hers bathroom on the premises. Parking is FREE after 7pm. So feed the meters if you get there earlier. After Pizza I then went to Martha's Bakery for cake and coffee near the Long Island Railroad. I actually wrote a review on that spot. The Review Guru* Long Island NY
Great neighboorhood pizzaria! The pizzas are excellent my favorites are the grandma, regular and spicy chicken. My parents used me bring home pizza since I was a kid and now I am bringing to my kids. I would rate the grandma an 8.0 and the regular slice a 7.5. I love the NY sports memorabilia that they have displayed all around the store.
Thank you so much for being open during these hard times for everyone. 😊🌼🤗🤗 They have great pizza and awesome customer service. They had all sorts of slices available from vegetarian to meat lovers Pizza. I have always been a pizza and pasta lover!!! 😍😍😍The sauce and the cheese is very important to the pizza as is the breading the breading was into thick or too thin it was just right. It was juicy enough to make your mouth salivate Plaza broken but not enough to have oil dripping all over your clothing or table. They also had all of these amazing pictures all over their walls. Someone even signed by famous people. I'm not much into baseball, but they seem to definitely be into it and they have also been publicized and many news articles throughout the years. So even if the food was mediocre It would all totally be made up with their wonderful customer service. It's almost like a museum one could literally spend all day reading the pictures on the wall. 🤩😎🤩 I took a picture of as much as I could including making some videos, but I don't like to make the restaurants or the people in the location feel like I'm invading their privacy or like I'm just being some creepy person.😅 I do it all with the sole intent to help people with making their decisions about where to eat or places to go. I look for safety and cleansing those. Those are my top priorities. So if you're in the area great place for a nice slice of pizza. And more!!!🤗🤗😊
Great pizza. My mother, father and all my grandparents ate here as kids. I did as a kid. They put DiMagios across the street outta business! Food - A+
Friendly staff,Good prices,Specialty Food really good...Regular slices are ok..(I have had better) Delivery available!
The employee at this pizza place answered my call in a completely disinterested and unwilling manner when I tried to place an order. There wasn’t a hint of kindness or attentiveness in his voice. At least the pizza was good—that’s a relief. The person answering the phone probably needs a vacation to clear his head.
Classic pizza joint with great flavor my favorite slice is there margarita
Me and the kids love the pizza here; perfect ratio of crust, sauce and cheese. The crust tastes great, my daughter ate it even though she normally leaves the crust. Margarita pizza is awesome. The serving size for the corona icies are big too. The food is a bit expensive though in my opinion.
Excellent pizza, consistent with their crust, toppings, and flavor. Not much to complain about. They are open until 11 PM which is great. Their pizzas are made from scratch and tastes fresh. They dont skimp on the toppings either. I wish they would have other crusts however, such as whole wheat or cauliflower crusts.
Ate here for the first time last week. Place was busy around 4ish. Had two slices, Sicilian and Pepperoni. Pepperoni had a strong oil game going on. Sicilian was actually pretty nice. I’d give 3.75 but rounding up to 4 on this
They've been here for many years. Decent place to grab a quick bite. The tomatoes sauce they use will have a familiar sweet NYC taste. Can't go wrong with the classic slice or the chicken ranch. Their garlic knots are buttery and nicely toasted.
Really great old-school neighborhood pizzeria. Fast friendly service from the guys behind the counter and a nice selection of good quality pizza! What more could you ask for? Chefs kiss. 😘 🫶
Decent prices, great costumer service, family environment, or just grab and go slice kind of a place. Pizzas don't look as fresh as they taste but they could improve with fresher ingredients.
I don’t know if this was a fluke, but I just ate the driest chicken roll from here. The pizzas look good on display though. But the chicken roll was so dry. The tips of the chicken roll was impossible to chew. The chicken was so dry it was shiny and brown. All the sauce in the world couldn’t save that thing. Maybe I got an old batch?
I placed an order online for a large pie and garlic knots and selected curbside pickup because it was an option and I'd rather limit my exposure. I first receive a text that says the order will be ready in roughly 15-20 minutes, then another a couple minutes later saying we're busier than expected, this is your new estimated time, roughly 20-30 minutes. About 10 minutes later, I get a text saying the food is ready. I get to the place, park at the curb directly outside the building, and follow the directions in the order confirmation which says to call when I'm outside. I call. An older man picks up, I can confirm that because I can see directly into the store. I tell the man I'm outside. He confirms it's ready, asks can I come in. I reiterate that I selected curbside because I'd rather not. He tells me to give him a few minutes. I watch through the window as the store empties, and there are no customers at least two times. I was outside for 10 minutes waiting as 4 employees were standing around, waiting for customers to come. Still no one brings my food, I grow impatient and go in. I tell them I'm watching as the store empties, my car is right outside. "You told me it was ready. This is my first time coming here and not only did you not honor the curbside, you still aren't coming." Long story sure, his reasoning for not coming out is the garlic knots weren't ready 😒 and the curbside isn't supposed to be there anymore because the pandemic is over. I said, why didn't you remove it then? No response. I finally get the food and leave. So here is my review of the food. Garlic knots were somewhat hard and oily was hell. GOT NO marinara sauce. Pizza had classic taste but the dough was too tough. Should not have to become a pitbull to make a clean break
The place makes great food but it's relatively expensive compared to what other pizza places charge. They have a $10 credit card minimum, which makes it impossible to charge your lunch unless if you are really really hungry. There is an Italian Greek Place three blocks north that serves great food and has a $5 minimum which is perfect for lunch time.. That's where I ate today, and it was delicious!
Good local pizza with nice crust with good sauce to cheese ratio. Sausage roll was delish with an abundance of sausage, matter of fact too much and I had to remove some. Little more peppers and onions would balance it out better. Would have given an additional star, however service behind the counter is unorganized and I had to repeat my order 3 times leading to a 15 minute wait to just to heat 3 slices and a sausage roll. Definitely a budget place to eat in Bayside area especially on Bell Blvd but not a pizzeria I’d go out of my way for.
Pizza is pretty decent. Very disappointed with one of the workers attitude. The tall Italian guy was very rude to me. Did not greet me at all and when I asked for a to go box for my extra slice of pizza, he looked annoyed and threw the pizza box at the table. Extremely unprofessional and I’m disappointed because they are usually nice here but I suppose he was having a bad day, which still doesn’t make his attitude okay.
My first time here, i ordered a Hawaiian slice and a beef patty. Pizza had no sauce, i was eating bakked dough with cheese, pineapple and ham. It was stiff, my jaw hurts just chewing. Beef patty have no taste, like they just stuff a crust with some left over grind up meat that didn't even taste like beef.
Rude kid in glasses with mustache gave me a stink-eye expression, everytime I ask to get me paper plates and red pepper & a different time when I asked about the menu regarding future/precise-timed orders.
Wasn't very friendly staff. Pizza sauce was small and didn't have much taste. We know good pizza so I gave it a 2 out of 4 stars. Also not a big variety by the slice. 4 plain with 2 drinks water amd a soda was $27.00. Not worth the money or the calories in my opinion
Ain’t what it used to be. Been Eat there my whole life. Sicilian wasn’t good. Also ordered ahead of time and didn’t put it in until I walking in the door. I’m going to Graciela next time.
Decent experience. Not worth $6 a slice. These prices are ridiculous and the quality is not there. Ordered the Margherita Pizza slice and garlic knots along with a chicken knot or something my friend ordered. Didnt find the taste of either the garlic knots or the pizza to be appealing. Cost $23 cash for two medium sodas, one margerita slice, one chicken bun sandwich or something. Too much. The atmosphere was decent. Just a regular pizza joint. Nothing fancy. Nothing spectacular either.
The pizza is great. However I got pizza one time and the person in the front literally coughed on his hand and continue to touch the pizza and serve to customers. That’s a big NO. I already paid for the 3 slices but once I got out I threw it out. He was also handling the money and keep touching the pizza
This place is racist and disrespectful. My daughter had a dental procedure done. She went to the pizzeria to order a pie of pizza. She couldn’t talk proper due to the anesthesia and when she was making her order, they were making fun of her in Spanish, thinking that she wasn’t Hispanic my daughter has a dark skin complexion, when she wants to pay she asked him if they accept Apple Pay. The guy comes out and ask her. Are you gonna pay us with apples? Dont Go there and a pizza is disgusting. Imagine how they treat the disabled here and discriminate amongst other races other than hispanics. Disgusting environment
I really like the pizza and the atmosphere of this place but last night one of the workers prioritized cleaning the table and literally pressured the table as I was eating. I know you want to leave early and get your work done asap but could be a little bit polite.
I walked in for a take-out and was told to wait for 15-20mins and later after 25 mins when I went asking for my pizza, I was told 15 mins more! After running a restaurant for years, you should have enough understanding of time and sticking to commitments you make. I walked out with my kids hungry and a remote online meeting that I got late by 15 mins!
It’s been a while since I ate a slice here. Sadly it wasn’t how I remembered. The pizza was not good at all! The Sicilian was very cheesy with almost no sauce. The problem was that it had no flavor! No spice in the sauce. The cheese tasted low fat. I took a few bites and ended up throwing it away because it was not worth the splurge in calories.
VI Pizza Bayside is rude to Asian customers. They don’t treat all their customers the same way.
I really wanted to give this more stars for the actual service and speed since they were quick and kind but I can’t. The pizza is overpriced so you are expected a thicker or at least higher quality ingredients in the pizza. But it had an odd semi burnt taste kinda like they brunt the crust the taste was definitely off,not to mention it’s already ridiculously thin crust. Also the margarita pizza specifically had a certain cheese that basically tastes low fat and wasn’t even fully melted the sauce has absolutely no seasoning. For five dollars i was very disappointed it was basically charred cardboard with cheap cheese and tomato sauce straight out the jar.The cherry on top was the random stuff burnt onto the bottom side of my pizza (like burnt paper and other debris that probably sit on the bottom of the pan or oven they use).
Had some chicken slice god it was awful tasted like it’s been sitting around all day. The pepperoni calzone should be called a cheese calzone instead I counted 4 small slices of pepperoni in it.. place is also very expensive and has no quality control.
