Best damn curry you’ll have in California let alone the US. I’ve been all over Japan and I’ve even made curry from scratch a few times but the medium spiced pork cutlet with corn, pickled radish and bacon bits was absolutely incredible. The sauce had like pork bits or beef in it! I wish they sold Tshirts or stickers. Go here now!
Such a cozy place with tasty food! You don’t really have to interact with anyone, just place your order on a tablet and it will be done pretty fast. Portions are big. There are couple of tables outside. Also I would give this place 10 stars for a little figure of Jesus on a skateboard
Great katsu curry option in Torrance! Owner was friendly and the food was quite delicious. I’ve had this on my list of places to try for some time and was happy I finally got a chance to stop by.
This is a small mom and pop operation that is fantastic with their Japanese curry. Ended up getting the pork katsu with hot curry and it got my nose running abit. Be warned depending on how busy it is, their might be a wait for food as it's made to order, so be patient. This places feels like you are in a restaurant in Japan and definitely coming back to try more of the menu.
Amazing flavor and a gem for the area. Haven't had the chance to try the pasta but I bet it's amazing too. Definitely a new favorite curry place. I personally prefer this over curry house. Pork katsu is picture with cheese and corn. The chicken katsu is spectacular as well.
Oh mama! This curry place is legit! Reminds me of the curry I had at Takayama in Japan. You choose the curry and everything is an add-on. It could get expensive, but worth it. They also have pasta, but it’s only available during lunch. If you’re looking for authentic curry, come here!
Found this place by accident when I was moving in and just thought it had a funny name. What a gem to have as my corner restaurant! Sometimes you go in and it looks like one person running the whole restaurant. You order on the touchpad next to the motorcycle. The slim operation means it's counter / self serve even in dining in situations. When they (rarely) have karaage, it is delightful. The omurice is perfectly cooked and just a bit moist. The curry is complex and musky, absolutely delicious. We tried to order broccoli once, slim veggie pickings, and they just gave us more egg without asking what we wanted. The XL is great to share for two. Not sure what's up with the caveman on the window?

Had fried chicken with white rice, curry, egg and fried onion and no doubt it is so good. Food fresh and served hottt. Loved it❤️
The food here is great! The curry is tasty and there is a lot of options of sides to add alongside your curry. There are a handful of sizes and like most curry places, there is an option to choose your spice level. I went pretty simple, I went with the middle size with chicken, an egg, vegetables, and the preserved daikon . If you are here just for curry, its one of the best spots in the area, but if you are here for a sit down meal and for a good atmosphere, you are definitely at the wrong place. Walking in, its kind of like walking into a ghost kitchen, cause there's only two iPads to take your orders and a very hard to follow menu. So that is why I gave it 3 stars for atmosphere and 4 stars for service, cause well, there is no service. So this place definitely gets the job done, but don't expect a place to sit down and eat.
This is the best Japanese curry in the United States. Granted I’ve only been to maybe 20 other Japanese curry spots mostly in Cali and NYC, but I did live in Japan for about a year and a half. This place would rival any great curry spot in Tokyo. Delicious. And the owner was nice and the place is cool. When I went there was no indoor dining but it was a beautiful Southern California day and there was outdoor seating.
the food was exceptional, and the feel of the place is nice, laid back. the staff lacked in friendliness (A LOT) but I was not really there for the interaction today. I do appriciate that I could choose the amount of the rice portion to go with my chicken cutlet, as if i am served to much rice, i shall indeed eat too much rice. So, yes, the food was wonderful and it was a working lunch, so i was alone. Perhaps i will try in a few weeks in hopes of more welcoming vibes from the person behind the counter, as I would enjoy having a close choice to my partners office for strategy sessions.
I have lived in the south bay for a few years now. Whenever I think Japanese curry I thought of Coco, but I rarely went since I like going to unique places. Found this place and wow, outstanding. New go-to Japanese curry spot. Very well priced and the man that runs it is so nice. Highly recommend.

This is a very small Japanese curry rice specialty store. There are no seats provided inside the store, only two small tables outside the door, so it mainly serves take-out foods. Customers can choose the amount of rice (white or brown) they want, plus three side dishes, and can also add on extras like fried chicken or pork cutlet. Customers can also choose different levels of spiciness for the curry. Basically, I admit their food tastes really good. For example, the fried shrimp I chose was very delicious. This store is a good choice to try it occasionally.
Take out only but there is a table and two chairs outside you can eat there. We ordered hot curry with pork cutlet, potato salad, egg and pickle and medium curry with chicken cutlet, tuna, egg and fried onions. We think the curry was solid and tasted great. We ate as soon as we got the orders so the cutlets were still crispy. I like that their curry was separate from the other food. You can tell they make the cutlet per order, it is worth the wait.
They are TAKEOUT ONLY. I didn’t mind at all. The food was amazing. Straight up, just curry with sides and main of your choosing. The medium spicy didn’t really taste all that spicy to me. I’ll have to order hot next time around. The food was definitely worth the drive from my area. XL rice is really XL, it’s more for 3-4 main ingredients. Japanese curry to me isn’t complete without the pickled vegetables which they do have. For my mains, I chose Chicken cutlet and sausage. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all. Will definitely look forward to next time I’m able to stop by.

One of the better take out curry options in the south bay. Plenty of toppings options. Opens around 6pm and sells out quickly on busy days
I love their curry, I get to go almost every week. one improvement is the spoon they attach to the food. the design of the plastic spoon is very sharp so I hurt my rip almost every time. I strongly suggest to the restaurant to change the plastic spoon. one more time I love the food, the staff and atmosphere but just request to change the plastic spoon

Went to this place for the second time today, and I must admit that the curry is so delicious. However, I give them 1 star for their service. The first time I went, the boss man was very unfriendly but I was like ok we all have bad days let’s try again. Nope, the boss today was also very unfriendly. I walked in and he was laughing with another customer ordering at the time who also happened to be Asian so I said hi to him and he just looked at me and walked away. Then another customer ordered after me who happened to be an Asian man, and we both waited outside for our food at the small tables set up. The boss brought the man his food outside to where we were sitting. Then when my food was ready, I thought ok he will do the same. Again, nope. He called out my number and left it inside on the shelves. As delicious as the curry is, I wouldn’t come back based on their horrible service. I only state the other customers being Asian because I’m not Asian, and I felt very uncomfortable with the things I witnessed as I waited for my food. As someone who has worked in customer service, I would never treat my customers any different based on anything.
Went in hoping for a comforting bowl of curry, but left with a bad taste in my mouth—and not from the food. I waited over 45 minutes, and when I politely asked about the delay, the owner got defensive and snapped at me, saying, “If you’re in such a hurry, don’t eat here.” The attitude was shockingly unprofessional. While waiting, I also noticed the owner stepping outside multiple times, possibly to smoke, and returning without washing up—which was really off-putting. There was no apology for the wait, no explanation—just hostility. I’ve eaten at many small local spots, and I always try to support them, but this one completely failed in basic hospitality. Won’t be coming back.
"Curry made by an ill-tempered owner" I ordered curry yesterday and it took exactly 54 minutes to receive my food. Around the 40-minute mark, I saw someone step out of the kitchen briefly, so I asked if my order was coming soon. He snapped back saying mine was the last one, clearly annoyed, and then suddenly asked me—rudely—if I wanted to cancel the order. I was completely taken aback. The way he treated a paying customer was like a total thug. There was even a faint smell of cigarettes—I’m not sure if he smokes in the kitchen or what. If food is running late, the first thing you should do is apologize, but clearly this guy has no sense of professional decency. He was a total disgrace, especially as someone representing Japanese cuisine. Either way, this place just lost a customer for good.
