I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing—so flavorful and fresh. We grabbed ours to go and it came out quickly, no long wait at all. The service was just as great, and the atmosphere is super chill and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth checking out whether you want to dine in or take it to go. Highly recommend!

The reviews are accurate, I had a brisket sandwich which was amazing, and a sausage link, regular, which was also amazing. On my way out I bought some bacon, sausage, and the sopapia cheesecake (also delicious). I'm stuffed. I'll def come back. Also, the staff were very pleasant!! Since it was my first time I had lots of questions, and they answered all of them very nicely.

Found a place that rivals Rudy’s. The food was excellent. I tried the bigun sandwich which is made up of multiple types meat….sausage, brisket, and pulled pork. I highly recommend this sandwich can’t wait to try it again. Was going to try their ribs but they were already out for the day even though it was only 12 noon. They also have a variety of desserts that were just as delicious. You can eat in, order curbside, or pickup yourself. Check them out you won’t be disappointed.😋

Great service that is very fast! I got the chopped brisket sandwich with buttered Potatoes and it was delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and I love the choices of hand crafted sodas that are awesome! Great place to take the family and the serving sizes are perfect! Pleas come here for a great BBQ experience

Second time I’ve eaten here in a week and it’s soooo good! I enjoyed a brisket egg & cheese taco with candied maple latte in store. Both were great. But then I did a carry out breakfast and ordered the small pimento grits but added chopped brisket and soft scrambled eggs on top. It’s delicious! I can see this becoming a regular spot for me

If I could give 6 stars I would. Brisket is really good, turkey is well seasoned and moist, not dry like you expect, and ribs are Outstanding! Best ribs I've ever had!! The only drawback is the mac and cheese, which seems to be one step above Kraft out of a box. Was expecting better given the other food is so so good. Do yourself a favor and get the banana pudding before you leave. Not your typical pudding. It seems to be whipped and made with cookies and chunks of banana. Great stuff. The staff is super friendly too.

Hometown eats and drinks meets modern style! Restored space is attractive and comfortable. We went for breakfast. Two spacious seating areas welcome you and your party. The coffee bar had the yummiest Autumn Spice 🍂 latte with an amazingly full taste without overpowering flavor with a touch of sweetness. The restaurant boasts an old fashioned meat counter, draft beers and specialty coffee drinks. Check in at the outdoor station and listen to the directions of where to go inside. They bring your food to the table after ordering at the breakfast coffee bar or the meat counter for lunch and dinner. The friendly servers sure seem like they are smiling behind their covid masks. Our food was great and unique. The pancakes are sweet and don’t even need any syrup. The sausage egg sandwich bread is light and fluffy. Avocado toast is on crunchy thick toast and has bacon with poached eggs. Mmmmmmm … Bathrooms are cute and clean. Family accessible and each stall is its own little bathroom. Each stall has its own theme - seriously a place to go checkout the restrooms just to see how cute they are! Family friendly with high chairs, plenty of space and lots of simple but fabulous options. Come enjoy the revitalized downtown restaurant across from the Beltonian theater Belton TEXAS.

BREAKFAST!!!!! 2 drinks 2 brisket tacos a pancake and avocado toast. Very pleased with the food! Price around 25 bucks. I'll be back for breakfast for sure. For 6 bucks more, you can get a Cinnamon roll pancake...its a must try

I LOVE, LOOOOVE this place!! Everything here is YUMMY!! There us a sandwich that has pulled pork, brisket, sausage and coleslaw that is just my weakness!! The moist brisket is hands down the best all around. It's perfectly seasoned and delightful! The cream sodas are nothing but trouble. The staff is young and extremely helpful and courteous something one just doesn't see anymore!! Great job, ladies and gentlemen. You have restored my faith, somewhat, in today's youth!!

Let's start off by saying the Millers surely know how to cook everything good! Now that we got that out of the way let's move on. I've been waiting to go back and take a few pictures of this place and write a review, along with pigging out on everything. The BBQ is ridiculously good and so is every side dish and desert, seriously!!!! I love this place and how they have completely went with a new modern look for their new location. They are certainly paving their way into BBQ history! I highly recommend giving this place a try. I always go with the moist brisket and spicy sausage with coleslaw and some of their fancy sodas they have. It's a little pricey but so is everything else in life that is top notch. Basically Millers BBQ is like the Rolls Royce of the BBQ industry!

The food was good and the seats full. The workers were busy and not slacking off. There was a moving line to get in. The portions were on the small side but enough. Which is good because there are no waiters, per sé and I didn't want to get back in line.

Team members were all very friendly! Food is easily 10/10! Nitro cold brew is delicious. Atmosphere is nice with lots of natural light. 1st time customer but definitely won't be my last stop here.

Great place to go, very nice staff. Wish they did plates, but you get your meat and then get separate sides. The prices aren't bad, really, if you buy bbq anywhere else it's just as much. Down town Belton is a nice place as well. If you go early you could shop at the small places around the shop.

My wife and I are from out of town and we wanted some good BBQ and this place did not disappoint! We got some brisket with fat and some lean and both were melt in your mouth delicious! The ribs stole the show though! They were tender and flavor packed! The sausage was average. The Mac and cheese had a good taste and the pinto beans had a little bit of warmth to them with good flavor! If you are close check this place out! It looked like they also had pie and coffee but I was too stuffed to do any more!

R

Smelled the smoke and had to stop. Got the sliced brisket sandwich, broccoli salad, beans, and corn bread. Sandwich was super, the salad was excellent, beans were spicy just the way I like them, and the corn bread was amazing with honey butter. Staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. Place was clean and well kept. I very much enjoyed the food here!

Update 10-09-21 stopped in for some breakfast. I had a breakfast burger which was pretty dang good. Wife had breakfast tacos, one with bacon and one with brisket. She liked the bacon (waken bacon) better than the brisket. We shared a cinnamon roll and it was delicious! You can’t go wrong at Miller’s! I usually go for the ribs because they are to die for! When they are out of those, I will enjoy some brisket and sausage. Really, it doesn’t matter what you order, everything on the menu is really good! Don’t forget desert!

Seriously one of the best bbq joints ive been to. Food was simply incredible, the flavors were insane. Would be worth coming back again and again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit today. Today's visit made it my second time dining at this establishment. The food, service and ambiance are well balanced and 100% maintained... leaving no room for complaints. A bustling restaurant with a well-thought-out marketing plan. Stop by and try the chicken. I guarantee you will return for the whole menu!

Ok, so a friend of mine had a birthday the day before, so we chose a Monday to go out to brunch in Belton, Texas. We were going to one place, but it ended up being closed, so we googled somewhere close to eat. So as we were walking looking for the restaurant, we ran into Miller's smokehouse. Or should I say our noses took us to this place🤫 When we walked in, this place is huge, and we found out that everything they make here is from scratch.🤯 Guys, let me tell you they make sausages, bacon, they make all type of desserts. A banana pudding and a cheesecake that was given to us by a lovely woman named Randa. She totally had a beautiful spirit. 🤗 She told us everything about the restaurant. She brought us the cheesecake and a banana pudding for my friend's birthday. Then she turned around and brought us a bacon rib OMG.🫣 If you've never had a bacon rib, get you some!!! 🤪 When I tasted it, I told my friend I wanted to stab her with my plastic knife.🫨 It was that good, she tasted it and her eyes open👀, so she literally said.... I'm going to go and get us some more.🤣😂 We also ordered breakfast sandwiches. My friend ordered a brisket egg and cheese sandwich, and I also got a smoked sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. They were banging also😋 So, by saying that this place is truly amazing. 👊 The food was outstanding. The service was out of this world, and I can't wait to go back and take my husband for breakfast.❤️ So if you're ever in Belton downtown, look for them. They're at 300 E Central Avenue Belton, Texas. 76513😉

Love me some BBQ. I recently went to the Texas Monthly BBQ Fest where you get to try the top BBQ spots in Texas all in one place. Hands down Millers was one of the best. So on one of my regular trips to Dallas from Austin, I wanted to give this a try and it did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. Brisket, pulled pork, Turkey sausage. I didn’t get a chance to try the ribs at the store, but I did at the festival and it was great. Their cornbread is on point and they have about a dozen baked goods, biscuits, pies and cookies. It’s worth a stop in Belton when you get the chance.

I was able to visit Miller's Smokehouse on a recent trip. Ordering was a little unconventional as there were two counters: one for food, the other for coffee and adult beverages. That in no way took away from the experience. The food was delicious! I wanted to sample some "Texas BBQ" and Miller's didn't disappoint. I got the Tha' Curtis and my girlfriend got the Sausage Wrap. Both meats were smokey goodness. We got coleslaw, potato salad, buttered potatoes, and Mac n' cheese for our sides. The butter potatoes and potato salad were our favorites. Be sure to also get their cornbread muffin with honey butter. It was a yellow cornbread that was slightly sweet.

My dear friend, Beth, reached out to make plans to meet. We made it happen by finding a midpoint for both of us. Belton, TX was halfway and I saw great reviews for @millerssmokehouse so we decided to try for dinner. Both hubbies had the Yuengling beer, and Beth and I both had the Watermelon Cider. We all shared the 1/2 lb moist brisket, 1/2 rack of St. Louis Style Pork Ribs, House Cheeseburger Basket, a pint of Coleslaw, a pint of Potato Salad, Banana Pudding, Key Lime Pie, and Sopapilla Cheesecake. Plenty of good food and good company! Great Texas BBQ that's worth the drive!

We called 30 min ahead because we had a group of 30. Not only were they awesome on the phone but when we showed up the was ready and we was all eating awesome food within 10min. Great food, great service, and the right way to treat customers. Everyone on the staff was great. Keep doing what you’re doing. FSBC Del City, OK

I believe I have been dreaming about their brisket. Even the sides are amazing! I should really order a second meal because the leftovers never survive to morning.

Excellent barbecue in the neat little town of Belton. Whether you like brisket, pulled pork, or sausages Miller's has the option for you. I've had or tasted all three and they're all good. Plus they have excellent desserts. There could be a line during busy times, but things move quickly. When in the area we usually eat here multiple times. No fake barbecue here, you can see and smell the smoke coming from the building.

This place is incredible. I've eaten at most popular BBQ places in Texas and Miller's Smokehouse will give any of those BBQ places a run for their money! I'll bet before long there will be a long line that starts in the wee hours of the morning - be sure to try this place before then! Every meat and every side we got was amazing. The thoughtfulness they put into this place did not go unnoticed. I only wish I took pictures of my food to add to this review, but it didn't last long enough.

They got the best green beans I've ever tasted! We got there at 5pm, they was no ribs left! The turkey wasn't tasty but the brisket was so good! We will definitely go early next time to taste the ribs. Edit Went back early today and got to taste the ribs. It was delicious 😋

I picked up lunch to go today for the first time and it was very good! I will go back for sure. I had lean brisket, sausage, green beans and cloe slaw. The BBQ sauce is not to thick not to thin and a good mix of sweet and tangy. The price was what you expect for good BBQ. They had desserts that looked amazing such as cheese cake unfortunately I have to eat gluten free so I did not get dessert. They also had beef jerky and summer sausage and other meats they package.

L
Lauren

Been coming here since they were a food truck. The food is amazing, the staff friendly, the bathrooms clean, and the price is just right. Best brisket in the world. Hands down for me. Even when I joined the military & left for a bit, they were still here and consistent. Everyone I’ve recommended this place to has loved it. Top notch. The owners are the sweetest people and the baked goods are to die for. Definitely needs to be on everyone’s bucket list at least once.

Great food. Since i live out state, I asked for a good BBQ restaurant. It was quiet. Lots of seating. Very clean. Great food. The meal was large enough to split among 2 people.

Surprising, I did not know they served breakfast. Had the pancakes, excellent, well toasted, thick & heavy. Had the sausage patty, I would have preferred more zest. Next time I'll just have the bacon!

We have lived in the area for nearly a decade and Miller's is our ONLY spot for BBQ. Every Friday I take my family out for dinner and after a long week, a long day at work and a long drive home we knew this Friday was a Miller's Friday. Stopped by our house in Temple and scooped up the family called our order in for curbside, it was quick fast and easy they were so friendly as always so we went on our way. I doubled our normal order of 1/2 lbs moist brisket (It's the best you have to try it!) and doubled our 1/2 lbs jalapeño cheese sausage (equally as amazing) to 1 lbs of each. We got home and my husband took the BBQ in, my 9 year old gathered the plates when my husband asked if I doubled the order looking at me all suspicious like. So long day - I checked my phone for the charge and the charge was right for doubling the order so I did but it just looked off. Before we have had two boxes vs the one I currently had, so I called. I don't think their phone system could be any easier, they have a direct option for a manager and I was so lucky to get Paige. She was so warm and friendly, easy to talk to and ready to help which she did in a big, big way. She took complete ownership of the order, offered to correct or refund (we were hungry and tired) she not only corrected it but saved us a return trip and within maybe all of 15 minutes my order was in my hand at home. There are not enough managers or leaders like Paige. Thank you from my hungry and tired family Paige and Miller's for your wonderful food, your wonderful service and for treating people right. Paige needs a raise and a hug - she's one in a million.. Thank you Paige!!!

Honestly, the best BBQ I've had the pleasure to try. I've been to many many top rated BBQ joints in Texas, such as Franklin's BBQ (waited 6 hours in line), and I have to say this beats it by a long shot. The FIRE IN THE BOWL is incredibly tasty. The Frio Pie feeling to it was just genius. The BRISKET sandwich my wife had was just perfect. Smoked to perfection. We also loved the Mac and Cheese. The ribs fell of the bone. Done to perfection. The Turkey was nice and not dry, just damn good. The Sopapilla-cheesecake-pie was incredible, such a great combination of sweet and crunch. Do yourself a favor and get the cornbread, you won't regret it. The reviews of this place are not lying, it's worth a stop 🛑!

Thanks to Country Reporter we found this great place. This is the first place I have been to that assign’s your table when you order. The food was good, not as smoky as I personally like for BBQ. There was two unmarked sauces on the table and the lighter in color sauce, with what looked like pepper flakes, was really good and flavorful. The Fire in the bowl was the perfect portion of 2 meats & 2 sides plus Fritos! Yum! The banana pudding is the best I have had from a restaurant. The only down side was the water is not filtered and tasted dirty. The $2.79 for a soda is worth the investment. The tea did not masks the unfiltered water. We would come back for the food.

Food was sooo good, the best BBQ I had while in Texas!!! The brisket just fell apart and was so juicy and flavorful, same with the pulled pork.. so much flavor. Attempted to go back but they close early during the week. Only issue was when our food came out some items were missing but they resolved it. I definitely recommend Millers.. and don't forget desert... the sopapilla cheesecake is amazing!!

Definitely worth the 45 min. drive, we got there around 930am for breakfast and it did not disappoint. The staff is super friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. I got the bacon ribs and pancakes (yes together) I would have never paired them together but boy oh boy was it perfectly delicious. The ribs were tender, full of flavor and melt in your mouth. The pancakes were super fluffy with a little crisp to perfection. The mimosas are great and just $7 for 16oz, more bubbly than juice which is what we all want. I will definitely be back but next time I will stay and have breakfast & lunch.

I tried Miller's Smokehouse in Belton, TX today while visiting friends nearby who recommended it so we went for lunch. Miller's Smokehouse is located on Central Ave 1/2 mile from Interstate 35 in Downtown Belton. Belton is one hour North of Austin and 40 minutes South of Waco. Due to their volume of customers they are open from 7:30am- 10:55am and 11am-3pm Sunday- Wednesday and 7:30am- 10:55am and 11am-8pm Thursday- Saturday. Ordering was convenient with a large digital menu behind the counter outlining meat by the 1/4 or 1/2 pound prices as well as meals, sides and deserts. orders are placed and meals are plated in a kitchen and brought to you when completed. A metal tray with butcher paper is used for serving which is the norm for restaurants of this type. I ordered 1/4 lb lean brisket, 1/4 lb moist brisket, 1/4 lb Regular Sausage, 1/4 lb Serrano and Cheddar Sausage, 1/4 lb Hot Link Sausage, 1/4 lb, 1/2 rack of St. Louis Style Ribs, 1/2 pint Mac N' Cheese, 1 individual Sopapilla Cheesecake and 1 piece of Pecan Pie to share with a couple friends and have leftovers. Inside there is also a full coffee bar so it doubles as a breakfast option. Brisket- The bark was soft and had great flavor and the smoke ring was defined on the non fat sides. The lean portion had great flavor, pulled apart easy with a fork and the fat was rendered well. The moist portion was rendered well and had alot of smoke flavor. Pork rib- Seasoning was great with fine ground pieces and the moisture level was perfect. Half of the meat required a bite to pull from the bone. The fat mostly rendered so the fat and ligaments were simple to distinguish. Regular Sausage- Smooth grind and great flavor, no sauce needed. Serrano and Cheddar Sausage- Another smooth grind with balanced flavors. The peppers were not overbearing and the cheese was mostly solid. Hot Link- The grind was coarse and flavorful. Sauce- there were two types on the table, original and spicy. I tried both then mixed them together to get a taste I liked. Collectively we used less than one ounce of sauce for the meal due to each option having great flavor and moisture. Macaroni and cheese- smooth, rich and creamy with pepper sprinkled throughout. Sopapilla Cheesecake- This was interesting, it was in a small individual round pie dish. The top was a sopapilla with pie crust around it, below was a hollow center with cheesecake bottom. As needed the top had a dusting of cinnamon and brown sugar. Pecan Pie- Again this was a small individual round pie dish. Using a plastic fork it was soft enough to cut through and pull a bite. The filling was in tact and the crust was a good consistency. The deserts must sell frequently and are made fresh so no need to look to see how long ago they were made. This was a great stop, I will return in the future when I want really good ribs and deserts. #beltonbbq #texasbrisket #bbq #porkribs #smokedsausage#macaroniandcheese #pecanpie #sopapillacheesecake #millerssmokehouse

In the last few decades, I’ve had the pleasure of BBQ trips across all the Southern states, from east to west. This year, I embarked on a Texas BBQ tour and must say, if you ever find yourself near or passing through Belton, Miller’s Smokehouse is a must-visit. They truly excel in every aspect of BBQ, and the dedication shines through in every dish. The brisket had a delightful smoke ring and a delicious bark that melted in your mouth. The St. Louis-style ribs were nothing short of outstanding. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked to perfection. To complement the main dishes, the smoked and fried wings were an absolute delight. The espresso BBQ sauce added a refreshing tang that balanced the richness of the meal. But what truly sets Miller’s Smokehouse apart is its friendly and welcoming staff. They were more than happy to give us a tour of the pits and even allowed us to spend some time with their pitmaster. It was a great experience to learn about their BBQ techniques and see the passion they put into every dish.

This was a wonderful find. The corn bread was great but even better with the honey butter they give you. My pulled pork sandwich was delicious and full of flavor. It had a great smoke flavor and the bbq sauce they provided was tangy and sweet. The mac and cheese was to die for! My husband had the fire in the bowl combo and he said it was tasty. The sausage was spicy but awesome. We will definitely be back for more.

I just so happened to be in the area looking for brunch after a horrible restaurant experience the night before, but my favorite place had an extended wait time, so I decided to check out Miller's Smokehouse. From the moment I walked up, I felt welcomed. One of the employees opened the door for me and welcomed me in. I wanted to try everything because it smelled like Heaven inside. I decided on the Big'un because it had a little bit of everything, along with the broccoli salad and a sopapilla cheesecake. They have one of my favorite brands of soda that you don't find everywhere also. I got a window in the sun to people watch as I ate, and I must say it was relaxing. My food was brought out pretty fast, and the presentation was up to par. It looked like it wanted to be eaten. The Big'un is packed with so many levels of flavor and textures, with hot and cold also. That alone had me ready to hibernate. All of the sauce flavors were good also. My broccoli salad was ok. It wasn't bad, but it seemed like it was missing something. I'd try it again. Now on to the Sopapilla Cheesecake! I was so full that I took it to go, and later that night, I tried it. My God! That cheesecake was served at The Last Supper! Millers was a hit all the way around. They also have a coffee bar that I plan on trying out next time. This is a must try establishment!

I came here from the library to take a break and grab something to eat. Great place to read a book and enjoy some good food with a talkative atmosphere and lively place. Service was great. Got the cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was tender and juicy. Very good. Fries were crisp. Great experience here. Good place to meet up with friends and grab a bite. Or to go solo and have a chill outing.

Five stars down the line! The food is absolutely phenomenal. The people are delightful and attentive. The atmosphere is lifting. Recommend everything on the menu. Favorites are the brisket (lean), extra pickles, macaroni and cheese, corn bread with butter (sweet butter), and iced tea. Dessert (try to save room or take it To go): cheesecake!!! Bread pudding is a very close second. This place does not disappoint. Went back twice in the same week to sample the variety of food. Ribs were tender and potatoes are on point. Great job Miller’s Smokehouse - you have me as a customer every time I am in town!

Very friendly staff. Opened the door for me as I was walking in. Was craving a good bbq breakfast but was a little disappointed that only option was the brisket taco for about $5. Rest of the options were mainly sausage or bacon. Not really big on eggs which is weird since this a breakfast review. The eggs were too wet in my opinion but I’m sure that’s how most enjoy them. Salsa was really good and refreshing. Breakfast sandwich was really good but I had to take off the wet eggs.

It felt like I had been here before when I walked into Miller’s Smokehouse. I came to Belton to meet a client and had never been here prior to this trip. From the gentleman at the door making sure it didn’t get too crowded to the staff that served and greeted us, we felt like we were part of this quaint little town. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked. I am not a big barbecue fan so when I eat somewhere like this, I am quite finicky. I had the house burger without a bun and fries. My husband had the brisket, potato salad, mac&cheese, and coleslaw. Of course I took a bite of everything he had and he checked mine out as well. The dining area was clean and well mapped out. Along with the great food, the staff made us feel welcome. I plan to come back and eat here on my next trip

Third time stopping here, first time remembering to take a pic before enjoying some of the best brisket it Texas! Pretty sure they only use salt and pepper with a lot of smoke, and it’s perfect. Sausage is sausage, nothing special. Broccoli salad was amazing. Coleslaw was ok. Another visit: Came back and got the smoked and fried wings. Absolutely the best thing on the menu!!! Plus some brisket, coleslaw was better this time around too

Fast, efficient service in a large space. Cheddar jalapeno sausage was fantastic. Pork ribs were perfectly cooked and very moist with a classic Texas rub. Brisket was good, but a bit overcooked in parts of it. Good for both large groups and families. Solid drink selection including local craft beer, sodas, etc...

Second time here in three days and the moist cut brisket was amazingly good both times. The cornbread with butter can be a dessert all on its own. Service is great, food is great, and the selection of sodas are nice since they have more than the usual.

Looking for a great place with friendly staff, good food and a laid back atmosphere? Look no further. It was my first time, and Branin(my apologies if I spelled your name incorrectly) was super friendly in helping me to choose and place my order. Food came out in a timely manner. Portions were just enough and worth the price. Everything tasted fresh made and delicious. I will be back and will bring friends

Holy cow! I was sad that my route didn't put me in Lockhart for BBQ at the right time for lunch. So when we were nearing Belton I had the wife find me a well reviewed local BBQ joint there. And I am soooo glad we found Miller's Smokehouse! I am from a small town in Texas and have lived in Oklahoma for 30 years. There is not BBQ in Oklahoma that is write home about. So any time I'm in Texas I'm brought back to where BBQ is what it's supposed to be. Smokey, with a bark, but also tender. The brisket here is probably top 2 or 3 of my life. The pablano and cheese sausage was amazing. I was really bummed I didn't get to try the ribs and turkey as they were out. If there is one complaint, it's that by 12:30 they were out of ribs and turkey, like how does that happen? But it made me get the brisket and I'm totally fine by that change. You absolutely need to stop in here if your passing through south DFW! I will be back! Well done Miller's, well done! You have a new fan and someone who always recommends food to people.

Great service, adorable place and the FOOD! Pulled pork sandwich, Mac n cheese and Cole slaw - all were fantastic. Pulled pork was sweet, tender, juicy. Cole slaw was sweet, but not sickly sweet. Mac n cheese was just right. Husband had brisket and pulled pork. Really enjoyed it. Well deserved spot in Texas Monthly "50 Best BBQ in Texas"! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We will be back!

My husband and I came in little over 30 minutes before closing on Valentine's Day, so understandably they had run out on a few things. The staff were so friendly and patient with us, which left an amazing first impression. That impression carried until we walked out the door. They are in the process of expanding so outside was a little messy, but they had employees outside to welcome people in and lead us straight. We kind of went all out and got a little bit of everything they had left. They ran out of the pulled pork and ribs, so we got the brisket, chicken both ways, and the turkey sandwich. The brisket was insanely tender, and the chicken was just perfect for us. Some of the sides were better than others. That's mainly due to personal preference in how they were served (like the potato salad having skin-on). Everything had great flavor regardless. We cannot wait to come back and try all the items we weren't able to!

Last night we stopped by to service and clean the kitchen hoods. The kitchen was well kept, and the management was extremely pleasant and professional. Amadeo, thank you so much for the to go coffee and for coming to the building so quickly to open up truly appreciated. Just the smell coming from the smoker had me wanting some good meat, and I’m definitely planning to come back with my family to eat. I encourage everyone to check out the new upgrades and adjustments they’ve made and enjoy some great food. Thank you again!

Fantastic food and service. The staff is friendly and fast. Breakfast and dinner are amazing, you cant go wrong. Their menu offerings are very large too, plenty of great options. Dessert is a must as well. There's also fantastic coffee options.

Really great experience. We're on a mutli day BBQ adventure and this was the first place that really did the meat justice. Brisket was extremely well cooked(dry enough to take sauce but wet enough to melt in your mouth without it if you wanted). Loved the pulled pork too. The green beans have to be cooked in brisket trimmings or some leftover fat because they slap. We literally drank the juice they were in. (Seriously bottle this I would buy it.) Buttered potatoes have enough cheese to keep all of Wisconsin happy. The smoked+fried wings were great and we loved the espresso in the sauce. Definitely high on our list. Keep up the good work.

The wife and I had lunch here Thursday. This pictured, plus two teas, was $49! The half rack of ribs were so tender and had great flavor. The smoked and fried wings were really good as well. My wife had the pulled pork, corn bread and mac and cheese. She also enjoy it. I couldn’t believe how loud it was in the dining area. It wasn’t music it was just surprisingly loud. I’ll come back again one day as the food was good but for the price and portion size it’s not something we can indulge in often.

This place blows Terry Black’s out of the water and every other BBQ place we’ve tried. The sausage, brisket, coleslaw, beans, broccoli salad, chicken.. all of it 10/10

We came for dinner on a Saturday night. It was packed and took a bit to order, but it was well worth the wait. The brisket was amazing. Well seasoned and moist. The sausages was spicey and juicy. The drinks were okay. It had a classic bbq feel that was clean and spacious. The highlight was the key lime pie! It was the perfect end to a great dinner.

A
AJ Smith

Great place! Get there early so you have all the choices to be had. We have heard great things for a couple years and finally got to fly down and try it. Well worth the trip! The sausage was phenomenal. Spicy but delicious and the texture was spot on, the meat wasn’t too coarse or too fatty and the cheese and peppers in it were perfectly proportionate in my opinion. The brisket was good too and I enjoyed my bite of my wife’s burger. The fries I kept sneaking off everyone else’s plates made me wish I had gotten some myself, they were super crispy. I didn’t have room for any sweets but bought a cookie for later and we will be back for more desserts from what we’ve heard they’re all amazing.

Miller’s Smokehouse is easily one of the best BBQ spots I’ve ever visited. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with that amazing smoky aroma that lets you know you’re in the right place. The brisket is the star of the show — tender, perfectly smoked, and full of flavor. It has that ideal balance of bark and juiciness that makes each bite melt in your mouth. The sausage is just as impressive, with a great snap and rich, seasoned flavor that pairs perfectly with their homemade sides. Another aspect that really sets Miller’s apart is the staff. Every person I talked to was friendly, genuine, and seemed to truly care about making sure everyone has a great experience. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in both the food and the atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Miller’s Smokehouse is absolutely worth the stop. Great people, great food, and a true taste of Texas BBQ done right.

Food was amazing, service is outstanding. Atmosphere was not great because someone had a over abundance of perfume on, so it unfortunately made it impossible for me to sit where the counter lady had tried to put us. The counter lady found us another table quickly. My husband and I have tried a lot of BBQ places here in central Texas. This one without a doubt is the best one.

Millers Smokehouse in Belton isn’t just about incredible BBQ — their breakfast is on another level. The breakfast tacos are easily some of the best in Texas. The tortillas are warm and soft, the eggs are perfectly cooked, and the brisket or sausage fillings give every bite that smoky kick you can’t find anywhere else. They’re hearty, fresh, and made with real care — exactly what you want to start your morning. And then there’s the cinnamon roll… unreal. It’s massive, soft, and dripping with just the right amount of icing — sweet, buttery, and baked to perfection. You can tell it’s made from scratch and not something pulled from a freezer. Pair it with a cup of their coffee, and you’ve got a breakfast worth driving out of your way for. Between the quality, the friendly service, and the cozy atmosphere, Millers Smokehouse nails it every single time. Breakfast here isn’t just good — it’s unforgettable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This barbecue spot was absolutely amazing! The meat was smoky, tender, and full of flavor — cooked to perfection. The sides were just as good, especially the Mac and cheese, and everything tasted fresh. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Easily one of the best barbecue places I’ve ever been to. I can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!

Their menu says "Start your day with caffeine and protein" so I did, kinda. I got coffee and biscuits and gravy. Texans take biscuits and gravy seriously but in my opinion, they ought to be taking drip coffee more seriously because it seems to be an afterthought these days. Not at Miller's Smokehouse. I had three cups because it was the best drip coffee I've had in forever. Miller's imports their own beans and roasts their coffee right down the street. Typically, a square biscuit means it's made in house. I assume that's the case here but two biscuits with a glossy white gravy and sausage is the perfect pairing for their coffee. If you've got a long day of college football ahead of you, this is the perfect order to get your game day started, Texas style.

Miller’s Smokehouse is where Texas road trips turn into Texas triumphs. TL;DR: Pulled over in Belton, scored brisket, sausage, and a key lime pie that made the angels sing. Added stamp #11 to the BBQ passport of destiny. Cruising north from Austin with the sun setting behind me and the promise of dinner ahead, I made a calculated, high-stakes maneuver. I took the Belton exit for Miller’s Smokehouse, a decision guided by instinct, hunger, and my undying loyalty to smoked meat. Rolled up at 5, crowd humming inside, only one person in line. The employees were serving deliciousness that would make your grandmother jealous. I ordered brisket and sausage, pure and simple, no distractions. But then it happened. My eyes locked on a key lime pie sitting in the dessert case, glowing like a beacon of citrus hope. That pie wasn’t a dessert, it was destiny. It rode shotgun all the way home. Back at the house, my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, joined me for the feast. That homemade sausage snapped like a Texas flag in a summer breeze and delivered a smoky, juicy bite that reminded me why I chase these stamps like a man on a mission. The brisket was tender, rich, and packed with flavor that could only come from serious pit dedication. We crowned the meal with that pie, and let me tell you, the sweet-tart perfection made the world a better place for a few glorious minutes. Miller’s Smokehouse delivers exactly what a Texan road trip demands: elite meat, no nonsense, and pie that can win over the toughest critic. Stamp #11 secured, and the journey continues. Unfortunately, I was so ready to dive into the brisket and sausage, I didn’t think of taking a pic till it was gone!

I really appreciated their system — you order at the counter, get assigned a table right away, and your food comes out to you when it’s ready. No long, slow-moving lines like at so many other barbecue places. The food was great across the board. The brisket, sausage, and mac and cheese were all really good — but the potato salad was the star of the show. Absolutely delicious! Great food, smooth experience, and plenty of parking.

The only negative thing about this place is it's so popular, they run out of food fast! Seriously though, Great food, fast and friendly service, and a clean establishment. They have some of the best barbecue I have eaten in Texas, and even their sodas are gourmet! A definite 'must visit' anytime you're in the Temple/Belton area.

We had an excellent meal at Miller’s Smokehouse and would highly recommend it to anyone craving great barbecue. We tried the brisket, regular sausage, pulled pork, potato salad, and mac and cheese—everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The brisket was especially tender, and the pulled pork had just the right amount of smoky richness. For dessert, we had the key lime pie and banana pudding, both of which were delicious and the perfect way to finish off the meal. The atmosphere was laid back, quiet, and clean, making it a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy good food. If you’re in the mood for quality barbecue in a welcoming setting, Miller’s Smokehouse is definitely worth a visit.

Just found out about this place thanks to Texas monthly. What a great find, just a few minutes off I 35 in Belton. The service was super friendly, restaurant was comfortable but most importantly the brisket was excellent with great bark. Potato salad better than average and certainly handmade not out of some tub from Costco.Sausage was a little better than average, but the brisket was excellent

Was looking for a nice ride to get out of Austin during Memorial Day and love BBq so wanted to give this place a try. Glad I did, the entire experience was amazing. A great place to sit down with family and friends, very clean and has a large staff that is keeping up with the hustle and bustle. I had a medley of food to include Ribs, brisket, wings, cheeseburger, fries, chocolate cheesecake for dessert and a cold brew coffee and unsweetened tea. I absolutely loved everything I had but I’ll say this…the wings are up there as some of the best I’ve had ever. The fries were seasoned perfectly. The ribs were outstanding and the brisket had a nice smoke ring and flavor. Tea was good but the cold brew was outstanding with a nice flavor with chocolate notes and smooth. If you’re in the area, come out and support your local restaurants and avoid the chains.

A friend and I had brisket chili, and it was delicious. A bit of a kick, but not too hot. Be forewarned, there are beans. (gasp!) The service was friendly with a side of witty banter. For dessert, we had a cornbread muffin with sweet butter and nearly as rich as cake. Clean, comfortable dining area with a sunny view of the street.

Everything here is bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is industrial and clean. Absolutely worth a detour or special trip; whether or lunch or breakfast you honestly can't go wrong (and that's not something I'd generally say). Their brisket is a highlight, but their pulled pork, biscuit, breakfast bacon ribs, breakfast tacos, and when pancakes are noteworthy. Speaking of which, don't skip the banana pudding which is worthy of a stop on its own. This place has the second best BBQ we've had (just behind Franklin in Austin) but with reasonable prices, a coffee bar, no crowds, and deliciousness that extends beyond just BBQ, this is the overall top pick in my book.

By far THE BEST bbq we've ever had! We were just driving through and happened to come across this place, and boy were we thankful we did. The brisket was impeccable - not only the seasoning, but the quality of the meat was undeniably superb also. Loved the sides (green beans, mac n cheese and cornbread) as well. Fantastic service - super fast and super friendly - and great value. This is definitely our go-to place whenever we're in the area. Just wow!

Not a local, just a regular guy passing thru the area. With such solid reviews I had to give this place a try. The BBQ brisket sandwich did not disappoint. Excellent smoke flavor. The side of potato salad was solid but nothing to rave about. The price was a little high but the restaurant was really nice. You have to charge more for that! Give this place a try! Thanks for the catch Millers. I did use the wrong photos. Those were from the next BBQ restaurant I tried. I’ve now uploaded the correct one. Keep up the good work.

Went to Miller’s smokehouse today to get a pulled pork sandwich. It wasn’t too busy and I was able to get my sandwich pretty fast. The one thing I really didn’t like was that they assign you a table and you don’t get an opportunity to know where that table is going to be. As a highly sensitive person I have sensitivities to light sound and view what I’m looking at and when I have my back to people or I’m facing them. I was coming in for a quick sandwich so I didn’t ask to change tables or anything but this was some thing that I really do not like at all. I will probably still return to Miller’s as my mom said it was the best barbecue in town. However, I would ask to sit in a specific place ahead of time now that I know how it works and if they weren’t able to accommodate that I would not eat here again. The sandwich was pretty good I would like to have had some spicy or barbecue sauce or some Tabasco. I didn’t see any around I was kind of in a hurry so it wasn’t a big deal but it would’ve been nice to have an option of barbecue sauce offered to me when I ordered if they have any options.

First time there and it was fine. Food was good enough. Staff was semi-helpful. It was just okay for us. We didn't realize you went up to the counter and ordered and then felt rushed. We had questions and the guy taking our order was distracted by something behind us. We said the same thing literally 3 times. He seemed annoyed that we didn't really know what to order. We tried the ribs and the cinnamon roll waffle (I think it was). They were fine. 🤷

Went for breakfast. Was a bit confusing as the signage pointed to one counter, but they were clearly not the counter to go to. Eventually got where we could order. I got the brisket breakfast sandwich. My wife got the sausage hashbrown bowl, and my son got the bacon short rib breakfast. The hands down winner for best meal was my sons bacon short ribs. Definitely getting that if we go back. The brisket sandwich is good, but to many ingredients we're "squishy". I didn't realize how important a nice bacon crunch or some other kind of texture is needed in a sandwich. I asked for some smoked sausage on the side, but I guess they only serve chopped portions of sausage. Do not do this as the cost is not worth the amount of sausage you will get. It equated to essentially 3 "medalions" with of sausage cut into quarters. I attached a picture of this for reference. Bacon short rib breakfast was the best.

Everything tasted delicious. The pork ribs are my favorite, the fruity pebble cookie and pineapple cream soda were good too. They have excellent customer service. The only reason I rated a 4 stars is because of a mixup with my order. I won’t talk about that because they made it right. Thank you to Millers for delicious food and a great experience. I definitely be coming back again.

Very generous portions for price especially on ribs. Food looked amazing when it came out, unfortunately only the sides delivered on that flavor for me. The ribs were more Memphis style dry rubbed and over seasoned for my taste, needed sauce to mute the seasoning. Also meat was dry and had to be chewed off, not fall off tender. Brisket was good on fatty or bark pieces. The leaner side had no flavor. Mac and cheese wasn't the most eye catching but did it ever taste good. Perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Buttered potatoes talk about a bad description, you left off topped with a mountain of cheddar cheese, this was delicious. Didn't really like the assigned table seating design but not a biggie.

Good food. Our group of five all enjoyed what they ate. Two thought the chopped beef was a touch dry. Mine wasn't. I'd have bumped it up to a 5 star, but the chicken wings order of one of us took forever. However, I easily recommend these eats and will be here again, given the chance.

A fairly good selection.. some hits some misses. Definitely would suggest the meats, I wouldn’t get any of the sides again… they were definitely lacking, if you are I’d just stick with the potato salad. Service was minimum. Brisket- 8/10 Sausage- 6/10 Turkey- 6/10 Sides- Varies.. mostly mid. 5/10 Dessert- we just tried the key lime pie and soapapilla.. both were 8/10

I ordered a half pound of brisket for $16.50, only to receive 4 slices of brisket. I asked them to re-weigh the meat and was told they came out to 4.99 pounds. I went home and weighed it on my scale many times and it was only 6.55 ounces, not even half a pound (which should be 8 ounces). My instinct was right. This makes me wonder how often they calibrate the scale. I feel cheated out of my money. This is ridiculous.

Located in downtown Belton, nice new restaurant. The ribs are very good they are super moist, not a lot of crust but they're still very good. The brisket is OK I would give it two stars out of five. Definitely not worth ordering. I asked when the gentleman which was better the beans or the coleslaw he said the coleslaw and the coleslaw is OK not much flavor. Their barbecue sauce is very good, it's on the sweet smoky side. They also serve a mustard barbecue sauce which I find very odd for Texas. As far as Texas barbecue goes it's good. Brisket is not good but the ribs are amazing. Unfortunately you're not able to order the ribs by the quarter pound or half pound so you have to pay 15 bucks for a half rack.

I thought the food was fairly decent. My criticism is excessive fat with the brisket for the amount that I paid for also their pork ribs very tasty tender, but it had more like a sugar cured or honey cured bacon taste. People were really friendly. They didn't have beer on tap when I got there because of refrigeration issues which I appreciated their honesty

Average experience! I think this place would have been awesome if I had gotten something besides the brisket and loaded baked potato. The 1/4 lbs of brisket was a smaller amount than others’ 1/4 lbs of brisket in our party. The middle little chunk on my platter was completely fat too. The parts that were meat were yummy! My other issue was with the baked potato - underneath all the yummy load on top, there were a few long black hairs tangled up in my potato. It was a bit unsettling, but the potato otherwise was pretty good. It was a touch dry, and I would highly recommend their buttered potato side instead! If I were to come back again, I would instead get the sandwiches as they had a larger amount of meat! The sides of green beans, beans, and broccoli salad were all incredible! Not a miss of a place, just a miss on what I got here.

Miller’s has been one of our favorite places for many years going back to their old location. Our last 3 visits (we come from out of town to visit son & his family) has been off. 1 visit for breakfast they totally forgot my order and sat and watched everyone else eat while I waited for my order which never arrived until I went up to check on it and they totally missed it…. Yesterday we ordered to go order and when we arrived I asked that they check it to make sure we received the full order as the time before they shorted us our desserts and the nice lady told me she checked it over and yet when we arrived at the house there was no sauce with the order ($170), I know that missing sauce doesn’t sound like much but when it comes to BBQ it is a big deal for us. It’s the little things….

The food was good but not anything I haven't had in a hundred other bar-b-que places. Everything was ala carte so my wife and I ended up spending more money than I had expected. Also, they don't have fried okra. What kinda BBQ place doesn't have fried okra. Overall, the food was okay. The service okay but it's unlikely I'll return.

My husband and I ordered our food for pick up (never have tried this place before) brisket, chicken, mac and cheese and cornbread. Instead of cornbread we were surprised to see 3 pieces of white bread…even though we paid for cornbread. Also didn’t come with the pickles & onions on the side. Be sure to check your food and bag before you leave especially if it’s around 2pm before they close, would’ve been nice to at least know if they were out of something so we didn’t expect it. Meat was tender but not super flavorful, very basic . Not worth $29.

15 bucks for a coffee and a taco only too see more beans than brisket even mice would look disappointed in this micro dice of brisket added into the taco , i basically bought a Taco Bell bean burrito . Brisket is good here but this is a joke . Don’t even bother with the garlic biscuit more , overpowering flavor of garlic than can protect you from vampires from 100 miles range

For $10.15 you TOO can get a “breakfast bowl” that’s equivalent to your average $1 cup of coffee! I ordered 2 cinnamon rolls, 2 of their little homemade 2.8 OUNCE pop-tarts, and one house hash. It came to $36.16…. I found it extremely odd when I got home and took my breakfast hash out of the bag that it was so light I was not sure they gave me the right order. When I opened it I laughed OUT LOUD! This? THIS was 8.8oz INCLUDING THE TOGO CONTAINER!! Once I ate half of ONE egg and about 3 thin potatoes, the bottom of the bowl was laughable! The fact that people LINE UP to eat here and rave about their food blows my mind! You must leave hungry. Over $10 for the same as an EIGHT OUCE CUP OF COFFEE… let that sink in. So LITTLE food, and I am a small person! The 2.8oz poptart didn’t taste bad but come ON, other bakeries around the corner make cookies bigger than this tiny thing and don’t charge that much! My cinnamon rolls were doughy, underbaked and frankly either management needs to be there to figure this BS out or the health department…
