Finally tried this cute Burmese spot in downtown Benicia. We had the Tender Pork, Mango Chicken, Coconut Rice (for the win), and the Garlic Noodles. Also pictured are the Ginger Lemonade and Traditional Burmese Coffee, refreshing and tasty. Everything on the menu sounded so good and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely go back.
My first time here and food, service, and ambiance is 5/5. I have nothing but good to say about this place. I think I’ve had Burmese food twice before but it has been awhile. As you walk in you are greeted by one of their staff and we are seated right away. It not a huge restaurant but it’s not small one either. You can smell the food as you walk in and it smells so good it makes you hungry even more. The decor is beautiful. It has a glimpse of their culture shown in paintings. I loved looking at them. The place also looks clean and tidy. For the food we ordered a couple of appetizers and main dishes to share. Love, loved the salt and pepper tofu. It’s a good starter, but don’t forget the sauce. We also ordered samosa’s which had good flavor inside and crispy on the outside. For the main dishes we had: Spicy noodle with shrimp, Traditional Red Curry Chicken, and MayLika’s Fiery with tofu and beef. All these dishes had wonderful flavors and they did not skimp on the protein. Last but not least we shared a dessert. The Dubai Dessert Palatha. I’ve never had anything like it. Love the palatha and ice cream combination. We have to have that ice cream. Note: the chicken in the Red curry was so tender and not dry (as chicken in curry’s tend to be dry at times). The service was awesome. They kept our water cup filled. And we stayed to chat for a while after we ate and they didn’t rush us out.
Visited this place this past Sunday with my parents. I was happy they served gluten free options. Now my mom can enjoy another food spot that is close to home! Must have the tea leaf salad, quite the flavors you taste after each bite. We always order this. Menu was filled with different items to pick from. I enjoyed the tropical fruit punch juice, it was refreshing. They have indoor and outdoor patio seating. Free parking next to restaurant. We had a nice stroll by the shoreline after we ate. It was nice vibes. Will definitely come again, good service!
Absolutely delicious food and prompt service! We got the palatha with chicken curry for appetizers. For main course, we got the crab fried rice, Burmese beef, and the swai - all very tasty with generous portions. We got them medium spicy, will probably get it spicier next time. We’ll be back!
We came here for dinner to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. The place has a nice vibe—cozy, welcoming, and nicely decorated. There’s plenty of seating inside and out on the patio. We sat indoors, but honestly, the patio looked just as good, especially with the warm weather and a cool breeze coming in from the bay. I ordered the Spicy Noodle, which was stir-fried with chicken, shrimp, mixed veggies, crushed peanuts, and a splash of lemon. It was gluten-free, which was a nice bonus. The flavors were on point—sweet, sour, spicy, and savory all came together really well. It was flavorful without being overwhelming. Definitely a dish I’d order again and recommend. Service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of the entire time.
Great place for some classic Burmese dishes. Flavors are great, plate sizes are excellent and the staff is on top of all your needs. They have indoor and outdoor seating
This is a cute little restaurant on 1st Street with a nice outdoor patio. We're usually here for lunch but it looks like a romantic place for dinner too. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. I'm in love with their drinks menu and would heartily recommend the coconut rice.
Great lahpet thoke tea leaf salad!! I have been to Burma/Myanmar a few times and lived for years in Thailand where I had Burmese food often. The quality here is incredible, especially with my favorite salad, the flavors and ingredient quality were all spot on. Nice service staff. The fiery tofu dish was also good, unsure if authentic, but tasty with coconut rice. Generous portions. I only wish it wasn't so loud in here, but five star food. Impressed!
What a fantastic spot. Highly recommend the fermented tea rice salad—so many flavors and textures. This may have been sacrilegious, but I got some crispy pork belly and that just completed the dish for me. The samosas were amazing as well. All in all one of the best meals I’ve had in Benicia.

Beautiful Patio With Soft Playing Music Clean Eating Area And At Night Lights Come On Around Eating Area. Food Was Super Delicious. I'm Eating No Meat For Year 2022 And Menu Had Great Selections. Bathroom Nice and Clean that's a plus for me☝ Overall, I enjoyed myself with my adult children and will differently be back with my husband🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I went here a few months ago but forgot to leave a review. Food was excellent and fresh! We usually go to Walnut Creek for Burmese food, so glad to find this place closer to home. Very recommended!
Great food. I liked all my 3 dishes, tea leaf salad, red curry, and veggies kebab. I thought the food is similar to Thai but they taste different. The curry is more similar to Indian cuisine. The sauce/curry is very nice. The back patio is spacious.
Absolutely DELICIOUS and authentic Burmese food! There simply are not a lot of Burmese restaurants so I was pleasantly surprised to find one in Benicia. I ordered the tea salad and enjoyed the balance of different flavors and textures. My friend got Burmese noodles and I enjoyed the mushroom-y/smoky/nutty flavors. The drinks were also very aesthetically pleasing. I want to come back and try the other menu items.
We sat out back on the patio, which was lovely with plenty of tables, shade, and green accents. The pork belly and milk tea were delicious. His food was a bit overwhelmingly lemongrass, but my garlic noodles were exactly what I was hoping for! Servers were helpful and attentive.
First time here, which was yesterday for a lunch meeting, and I must say, I was fairly impressed with the quality of everything. Came around 11:30am, right before I guess the rush hour for lunch, which did actually get pretty busy, however, we were seated promptly and had a server taking our order in about 5 minutes. Ordered the pumpkin shrimp, which was amazing, shrimp was bouncy and juicy, and it wasn't overpowered by the pumpkin. Garlic noodles were a little different to other garlic noodles I've had from other places, but im assuming this is the Burmese way, they still were palatable though. Coconut rice, eggplant, and Mango chicken were also great, oh and the chicken wings., oh the tea leaf salad was also good. Ordered everything spicy, and I told them I didn't want the extreme level, as I wanted to actually taste the food, but the level was actually very mild, definitely could have gone up a notch or two on spice level.
Great atmosphere and well decorated dining room. Food was good, but some menus could be a little too spicy for others. So it's better to ask before you order.
Tasty food nice service Spice levels r high - if u like spicy go for it

This was my first time having Burmese food. I had the Tea Leaf salad. It was DELICIOUS!! I also ordered two dishes to go because the salad was so good. I ordered the Eggplant Garlic, Shrimp with pumpkin and garlic rice. The garlic rice was great however, I didn't care for either of the other dishes I ordered. Hence the 4 star review. I look forward to trying more of their dishes. The service was wonderful.
Food was delicious! Had been looking for tea leaf salad on this side of the bridge and they didn't disappoint. I had the tea leaf salad salt & pepper calamari, ginger tea and Dubai dessert! Staff was so nice even when this lady was completely rude to them they kept thier composure. True customer service! I will be back!
Good Burmese food. Happy they made it very spicy to my liking. Was slightly disappointed with the Tea Leaf Salad. The quality of meat was very good. I will definitely come back and recommend to others.

The food is delicious but service sucks they take extremely long and forgot our order we waited over 30 minutes
A bit too pricey for what we got. The chef's special fish plate was just a small portion with no sides for around 30 dollars. The fish turned out cooked inconsistently as well. The patio was nice but it took them a while to come out and ask for what we wanted. Overall underwhelming experience.
I used to get DoorDash and dine at this place often and introduced this restaurant to many people. They are very rude at times. On time I ordered from their catering menu and my Fried chicken wings were soggy when I told the owner about it she had an attitude. She She tolerated at her waiter, having an attitude towards customers. Food is good but Inconsistent

VERY RUDE SERVICE. Negative 10. I asked the server if the rice cost extra and I didn’t hear him so I asked again and he retorted, “I told you, No!” I said, why are you being rude to me and he denied it. Tall guy with short hair. I asked what the code is to the bathroom and tall guy said, “someone’s in there.” I said I know, I need it in case and he just walked away. The other guy told me after I asked him. I ordered the food and it came dry, tasteless. I asked for some kind of condiment anything and I got 2 teaspoons of condiment. This is the first time I have come to their location. I have ordered for delivery only before.. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. An elderly person who is alone should never be disrespected EVER. Note: posting a fake review after mine does not legitimize the rude behavior and service of dry tasteless food.
