Well-crafted Thai food, attentive service & a lush/gorgeous setting that made my lunch meeting appt very fun. Love that they have sound-absorbing panels as part of decor so that you can actually hear your dining companions. We’ll be back for cocktails!

The food was incredibly fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The space had a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the service was both friendly and efficient. Every dish we tried was excellent, but the Som Tum salad stood out with its perfect balance of spice. We also shared the Pad Makeur and Pad Thai, both of which I highly recommend!

Pretty new place and expectedly the food and service were top notch. Affordable as well relative to some of the other places around the Bay Area. Would come back!

Nice staff. Decent prices. Hidden gem that’s invisible from the street, but the interior is very elegant and the terrace is quiet and charming

While vacationing in California we had dinner here and it was absolutely delicious! We loved it so much we went back for lunch another day and were not disappointed. The food is beautifully presented and the taste of everything we ordered was amazing. The atmosphere is soothing and the service very friendly! Don't let me forget the drinks which were also delicious, and this is coming from someone very hard to please when it comes to alcoholic drinks! I strongly recommend you give your taste buds a treat and visit Bangkok By The Bay!

Yummy well crafted Thai food, we all cleaned our plates. The space was quiet and relaxed, perfect for conversation. Another big plus, they brought out a dog bed and water bowl for Cooper. He gives it 5 wags. A thoughtful, tasty experience all around!

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the east bay from the West Berkeley industrial brick building to the service, ambiance and delicious food. The roti is like dipping a doughnut in heavenly yellow curry. Just try it! Save room for the coconut ice cream - best I've ever had. There's a great space for large parties separated from the main dining room with beautiful heavy curtains. (The server offers me a charger for my dying phone!)

From the setting, the sound, and the service to the delicious food, this is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Berkeley right now. We started with Roti bread and curry sauce and a mushroom dumpling. Main included a soft shell crab salad done right and a vigorousl tofu curry. Dessert of course was a mango sticky rice plate and a chocolate fudge cake, both served warm: the crowning of a beautiful meal.

Wow, Bangkok by the Bay is a true treasure in Berkeley! Every dish was bursting with vibrant flavors and spices that took my taste buds on a journey. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness, while the Green Curry was creamy, aromatic, and had just the right kick. The Turmeric Chicken was soo good! This restaurant was absolutely wonderful! Every dish was perfectly prepared and tasted just like authentic flavors we have in Thailand. I highly recommend trying Sakoo Hed, Laab Hed, and Phed See Krong - especially Moo Ping with sticky rice. Everything was so flavorful and true to its origins! I’ll definitely be coming back again very soon!

First, having a pillow for your back at your seat is amazing. I had the roasted duck curry and it was delicious. It was so good 😊 I was done before I even remembered I should have took a picture. Also the lobster 🦞 pad Thai is great 👍

Really the best Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. Wonderful location. Very pleasant space. Most of all, the food is excellent as is the service. The owner, whose name is Song, makes us feel we are her special guests.

Very cold inside…people were wearing their jackets. Initial service was really slow….not even water offered for 15 minutes. Food for our party of 5 came out sporadically. Brussel sprouts were undercooked and rock hard. The other dishes were very good with generous portions. $3 brown rice is pretty scammy.
