Polaris Cafe is like a big oasis in the middle of a city. This is my new favorite spot to decompress and study. It is very inviting and relaxing. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The prices are reasonable. The vegetarian, breakfast, lunch, pastry and dessert options are a lot. The specials for today are butter chicken and tandoori chicken over basmati rice. I got my drink for $6. I am very glad to see that it is not packed. I can literally just sleep here. It look so peaceful with all the plants and granite tables + the beautiful fountain and scenery out the floor to ceiling windows. I’ll go the extra 20 miles to study here. I really love the concept and would love to have my own like this in the future.
Love this little cafe! They turn out some delicious flavors. I get the breakfast burrito and it’s fire every time. So many yummy options for lunch too! The order ahead option is great too. Overall really cool atmosphere too with small little nick nacks and sauces to purchase.
One of the best breakfast burritos of my life. Lots of eggs and veggies and they didn't skimp on the sausage. $16 is pricey but so are most things in California. Come here if you get a chance- you won't regret it.
This place is right across from Amtrak. We were looking for a muffin or something of that sort and a cup of coffee. A quick search in the Waze app landed us here. We were greeted with a very chipper and welcoming staff and a calming atmosphere. You can sit at the tables outside in a lobby type area. I gave the Leeche tea a try. They make and sweeten it over night. It was delicious. There is some type of fruit in the drink as well. Very refreshing fruity sweet tea. But onto the bacon breakfast burrito. I’m not a breakfast person but this was hands down the BEST breakfast burrito/dish I have ever had. My husband said the same. Highly recommended!!!!
A little atrium sanctuary with great coffee. We stopped in before a work meeting, anticipating I'll get done black mediocre coffee. Instead I found they had ever kind of milk including a homemade hazelnut. They were out but I was able to snag my signature oat late. Milk we the eighty temperature and espresso wasn't bitter. My colleague for the avocado toast with truffle oil. If only they offered gluten free options. We tried to find out if the hash browns were flourless but the box was already tossed.
This is my FAVORITE cafe, any time I can make it over is a special treat. They have such uniquely crafted drinks, and such kind workers. They also have really cool art and tea-esque things for sale in-store!!!! I've gotten yummy syrups from there.
polaris cafe is tucked away in the most unassuming place! I came here to pick up my order from Oakland Tea Co. Peggy, the owner, was amazing and so enthusiastic about her teas. I tried the Brown Rabbit drink, white rabbit cream with a shot of espresso, with brown sugar boba while my partner tried the Caramel Cold Brew with Vanilla Cream. Both were absolutely delicious! Whoever thought of the Brown Rabbit drink is genius as the shot of espresso balances out the sweetness of white rabbit cream amazingly. Caramel Cold Brew was amazing too, with a rich thick foam made from Strauss milk. I’m a fan!! This spot deserves better lighting! But the indoor rainforest seating area makes up for it 🥰🧋 y’all did great 👏👏👏
Some really great drinks and food. Even though they're a little expensive, it's pretty worth it. The inside of the shop is fairly narrow but the greenhouse eating area is spacious and beautiful.

Good coffee. Beautiful atrium. Did not get food.
Omg, I was expecting corporate office park, and instead this is a really cute and delicious coffee shop! Friendly staff, more than I’ve come to expect from most places. Tasty coffee, well dialed in espresso. The food was sourced from Boichik and Firebrand, and the sandwich we had was fantastically balanced. Then the atrium was filled with plants and stone benches, with a big fountain outside. Very big fans of this place.
I usually come here for the drinks which are amazing, but I dropped in for some soup and their arroz caldo was on point. Made me feel quite nostalgic for home. Great vibes, great mission. Really love them.
My goodness these ladies are too sweet!! Made my drinks perfect and the food was buss down! Shout out my girls in the back fr!!! Hands down my fav place to go for anything they even got the most adorable trinkets in the front! My favorite cuties!!
Omg, this place is really cute with really nice decor and ambience. The staff were very nice and fast. We got two drinks. The White rabbit and lychee black tea. Both were delicious and at a reasonable price for boba in this area. Really enjoyed all the small business crafts that were for sale as well. Overall really sweet place. Definitely a good spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat and work remotely. Definitely want to come back soon!

One of my favorite places! The seating area is serene and very green. The Vietnamese iced coffee with their seasonal cold cream is always perfect. The staff is also friendly.
This place is a hidden gem. Friendly baristas (many of whom sell crafts and trinkets!), soft and tasty boba, and a beautiful seating area full of plants. Rating 5 stars to support a small business but I really wish I could customize the sweetness of my drinks! All the fun drinks only come at 100% sugar and it’s way sweeter than my preference.
Enjoyed the sausage breakfast burrito with Fresh spinach, chipotle crema sauce, fluffy eggs, cheddar and red onion. Filling and pretty tasty.
Great atrium greenhouse vibe with light roast fruity espresso drinks from MczGlaughlins roaster up the street.
coolest ambience ever?? their menu is so diverse and has a wide range of things to choose from. i got their iced matcha with their special cream flavour (white chocolate raspberry cheese foam) which legitimately tasted like white chocolate raspberry icecream and was amazing. but, i have to mention that the matcha was wayyyy too sweet it sadly ruined the drink. i got mine 75% sweet, and i normally never order a reduced sweetness, and it was still far too sweet it kind of went down like a milkshake. so just a heads up order it around 25% or 50% at most. they do use a good quality matcha though. also all the staff were lovely.
They have a rotating menu which is a hit or miss. Had the vegan chorizo bowl and they did a pretty great job with it! Would recommend if you visit and they have this available.
Cute little coffee shop. The coffee I got wasn't as sweet as I'm used to but that's just my taste buds. The atmosphere was very dim and cozy. Definitely not cheap tho

Hong Kong Milk Tea = too sweet and the flavor just isn't right. Large for $6.50 = no bueno. Staff are friendly. Edit: Nov 2025 -- Large (+$0.75) jasmine milk tea ($6) total cost was $7.46 before tips. This is beyond SF price and employees benefit is clearly delegated to a drink that wouldn't normally cost this much. I would avoid at all cost. Edit: Feb 2026 -- Large Jasmine MT is now $8.01
Curb your attitude This place was close enough to the Amtrak station that I could run in and grab food before going back to board… I had a bit of time but I also had bags i needed to put down. When I realized the door was open about 7 minutes into opening I walked in and pit my bags on the bench on the lefthand side and was immediately asked by the woman with the glasses “we’re not open yet. You can wait with your bags in the lobby.” I didn’t see why that was an issue, but complied anyway. When I made my order, it was fairly fast and painless, but then, upon picking up and coming back to the station, I actually sat down while waiting for my delayed train and started eating this mess. I ordered the Sunrise, with the plain bagel scooped out and here are the major issues that I found with my order: - Bagel wasn’t toasted—nor was I asked if I wanted it toasted, which resulted in a soggy bagel - The mess of the avocado shmear was limey, which made me question if there’s a difference between avocado shmear and avo-lime on the menu - the egg was over-easy (runny) and not fried like the menu suggested - there was zero spinach in my bagel - there was no napkins included with my order, but I’m guessing it was on the side somewhere, just wasn’t communicated to me—that’s considering this was a much messier bagel to eat than I originally expected. Overall, it tasted great! However the attitude and the miscommunication and getting my order wrong didn’t seem worth the $16.58 I paid for my breakfast. My advice? Be sure to have questions and get answers before you order here if you’re not in a rush to hop on the train.

Absolutely the worst coffee I’ve tasted. The cappuccino our group had was burned; the latte had no coffee taste or no shots of espresso in the drink; Vietnamese coffee was all sugar and too sweet. Service was great though, friendly cashiers and staff. Atmosphere in the atrium is great with tropical indoor plants (Triostars, Monsteras, Pothos).
