Really enjoyed our visit here. The cocktails were excellent, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made the experience smooth from start to finish. We ordered the empanadas, pollo causa, steak anticuchos, Seco de Cordero, Arroz con Pollo, and Pescado a lo Macho. The lamb shank and arroz con pollo were standouts, while the pollo causa wasn’t my favorite and the shrimp in the seafood dish were just okay. The chocolate dome is fun for presentation, but the chocolate brownie dessert was much better. Great atmosphere, strong drinks, and solid food overall. Will definitely come back.
The DC palate has expanded beyond Ethiopian and high Chinese so of course the next thing is Peruvian. This is a popular joint right now so make reservations. Despite the client load they get out the food and drinks quickly and staff are sweet. Pisco y Nazca serves colorful, unusual fare that you might not have tried before. Clever use of toasted corn throughout. Heavy citrus and sour notes on many of the raw fish dishes. Surprising use of Asian cuisine ideas especially in the thick sauces, reminiscent of a bhuna curry. The mixed drinks are fun and worth a flight. A great date night.
Axel was amazing from the moment I walked in—despite my arriving early. He and his colleagues made sure I felt welcomed, comfortable, and fully informed about the menu. I was especially impressed that two managers stopped by to check on me, even though Axel and the entire team already had everything handled and kept me in complete bliss throughout my visit. Honorable mention to Victor, who made sure my space was spotless and comfortable. I just moved to the neighborhood, and I’m genuinely excited that this is now one of my go-to spots.
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food and great service. We had a party of 7 including 3 kids our server Matilda was very kind and patient with us. She made great recommendations. Will definitely be back. The desserts were outstanding.
My family and I recently visited this lively restaurant. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the crowd was bustling. We started our meal with passion sour drinks and passion fruit juice. For appetizers, we indulged in ceviche tradicional, yuca a la huancaina, papas à la huancaina, and empanadas de carne. As for our entrees, we opted for bistec a lo pobre, tallarín saltado, and chaufa mixto. The food was delicious, except for the steak on the bistec a lo pobre, which was overcooked. Overall, the dining experience was very enjoyable.
I went here for my birthday as recommended by a friend. Overall the food and the service was good. Paulo was the servicer and he did a good job on helping me to select the food with his recommendation. Also, accommodated my husband with substitutes. The Ceviche was excellent. The steak has room to improve on its quality.
Everything was absolutely delicious! It was our first time trying Peruvian cuisine, and Daniel was incredibly helpful with his recommendations. He made the experience even better with his friendly and attentive service. We’ll definitely be back!
The food was absolutely delicious, certainly the best seafood I’ve tried all year. Our server Mati did a great job walking us through the menu and was extremely caring about our allergy and dietary restrictions. Service and food were both outstanding. Highly recommend.
Overall experience, food, and atmosphere was amazing.. always is! Our waitress, Mati, was very attentive and friendly. Also, their cheesecake dessert is delicious way to end the meal 👍🏻 Highly recommend if in the area
I’d heard only great things about Pisco y Nazca, so I was glad to finally try it! The lomo saltado is a classic (and easily makes for two meals). Aidan’s service was also fantastic! He always had a great recommendation and was a great help throughout the evening.
Absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we sat down, the service was excellent, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. For drinks, we ordered the Pisco flight, which was a standout and definitely worth doing. Each pour was thoughtfully presented and a great way to experience a range of flavors. We ended up taking photos of the drinks and dessert, but honestly didn’t get many food photos because we were too busy enjoying the atmosphere and the food itself. Everything we ordered delivered. The ceviche sampler was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced, and the lomo saltado was outstanding, cooked perfectly with great flavor and texture. For dessert, the picarones a la mode were the perfect finish, light, warm, and just indulgent enough. Overall, an excellent experience across food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. You can tell real care goes into every detail. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Daniel was our server. He was attentive and polite and made sure our needs were met throughout the entire meal. 5 stars to Daniel. Restaurant ambiance is very nice. People loved to sit at the bar, and I can see why. Food was good except for the dessert pictured here. Too much cream and too sweet for my personal taste. I only took 3 spoonful and that was enough for me. Everything else was terrific.
We had an amazing experience at Pisco y Nazca in Bethesda! The food was fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared, authentic, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Our server, Luhan, was outstanding — incredibly friendly, attentive, and even brought out complimentary food for our baby. That thoughtful gesture truly made our visit feel special. The food was excellent, service staff was great, but the exceptional service from Luhan is what guarantees we’ll be coming back!
My husband and I went two nights on a row, that’s how amazing this restaurant is! First night the server was Paulo and the second was a lady and they were both awesome! The food is amazing, thank you for taking me back to my home country with your amazing food! We came back in Feb 2026, two nights on a row again! Amazing service and delicious food!
We had an excellent brunch at Pisco Y Nazca Bethesda! I had the antichuchos de corazón, ceviche tradicional, and the suspiro de limeño. Everything was delicious and our server, Edwin, was great too. I can't wait to come back.
Delicious food. Extremely friendly service. Reasonable prices. 10/10 would recommend. I came here today with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday and it was a wholesome experience. Good music, good vibes all around. Our server Gaby went above and beyond to make our night memorable.
We had a great experience at Pisco y Nazca. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full, and although it took a few extra minutes for the host to seat us, he was very polite and attentive. The food was excellent and brought back memories of authentic Peruvian flavors. The ceviche mixto was outstanding—very close to a true ceviche limeño. The arroz con mariscos was also fantastic, full of flavor and authentically prepared. The chaufa de mariscos was another highlight. They also offer some comida norteña dishes with a more gourmet twist. The tacu-tacu and anticuchos were good, though not quite as authentic as you might find in Peru. I also tried the causa sampler, which was decent. Overall, this is some of the best Peruvian food you can get outside of Peru. Definitely worth visiting if you want a taste of authentic dishes with a modern presentation.
The ambiance and the food were excellent! Lots of options to choose from, Mati was an amazing server! Explained the whole menu to us! Will be back!
We went for a cozy date night, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The ambiance was exactly what we were looking for—warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing evening. Our waitress, Mati, was incredibly kind and hospitable. She was attentive, friendly, and helped us with our order with genuine care. The food? Top-notch. Every single dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. We especially loved how authentic everything tasted. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable Peruvian dining experience!
Amazing restaurant week value! We got 3 courses for $25 and it was so good. Daniel our server was amazing. Highly recommend for brunch, especially the ceviche and tostones.
Highly recommended!! Food was absolutely delicious. Gaby was an amazing server - very friendly & knowledgeable. We were not familiar with the menu, and she helped us pick out items that we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely return.
I had such an incredible experience thanks to our server, Edwin. I was celebrating a brand-new job and reconnecting with a close friend, and Edwin truly made the night unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, warm, and genuinely kind — the kind of service that makes you feel cared for, not just waited on. I’ll admit, I can get a little spicy at times, but Edwin handled everything with so much patience, grace, and positivity. He never missed a beat and always checked in with a smile. What really blew me away was his thoughtfulness — he surprised me with alfajores to congratulate me on my new job. That gesture meant more to me than he probably realizes and turned a great night into a truly special one. Edwin went above and beyond in every possible way. This is the kind of hospitality that keeps people coming back and telling everyone they know. He is an absolute gem and a huge asset to your team. Give this man a raise. Give him a promotion. Protect him at all costs. Thank you, Edwin — I’m so grateful for you!
Beautiful, modern, and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of Bethesda. Parking can be a little tricky, but there’s a garage right next to the restaurant and they validate tickets, which makes it convenient. The ceviches, drinks, and desserts were all outstanding, great portions and a nice variety of dishes. Our server, Bryan, and manager, Manoel, were extremely attentive and welcoming, making the experience even better.
The ceviche was fantastic! Got the sampler and it was more filling than I’d have expected. Be aware that it is sour, if that’s not your thing. The service was good and the vibe is pretty good, music in the background but you could still have a conversation without yelling (which I greatly appreciate). Presentation was very nice. Do get a resy if it’s a busy day, otherwise they won’t be able to accommodate you.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Pisco y Nazca - definitely lives up to its reviews! Service, food, and vibes were nothing short of excellent. They have a great happy hour drink menu (featuring some of the best coquito I’ve ever had). Highly recommend the yuca if you’re looking for a light starter. The Lomo Saltado and Tacu Seco de Cordero were both seriously delicious.
Outstanding food and great atmosphere — very accommodating to my needs. Great lighting in the space —gobos used on the walls - see pic!
Had a great experience today. Our server Paulo was attentive and fast. The food was amazing and loved the dessert. I got the Buenazo. 100% recommend this location.
Outstanding Peruvian restaurant, one of the better ones you'll find. The ceviche is a real standout here. You may prefer to order tapas style rather than the entrees so you can try a variety of items. The Lomo Saltado was pretty solid. The Pescado a lo Macho presented well, but the sauce was bland and needed some spice and tang. A simple fix if you ask for it. The decor is ok, the bar area is pretty large and more fun. It's quite loud throughout, not very 'romantic' if that's what you're looking for. Get there early for half price piscos weekdays.
We had an amazing brunch celebrating my Grandmother’s birthday. Axel provided great service! Highly recommend.
Amazing experience! The food was delicious and full of authentic Spanish flavor. Our server, Drianny, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Great atmosphere and excellent service — we’ll definitely be back!
I'm generally not very familiar with this type of cuisine, that said, I was very happy with what I had (based on the servers recommendation). I had two Peruvian main dishes, both with meat and an appetizer of octopus. They were so good, I went there a second time and I was more than happy to have Mati as our sever. She is very attentive and moved is in when we felt cold outside without hesitation. I recommend this place.
New restaurant of the year! Even it’s inconspicuous location in a dark corner of Bethesda cannot hide its culinary excellence! Start with a tarts pisco sour to grease the skids before a symphony of Peruvian dishes hit the table. Whether the simplicity of hot, crisp fried yucca or the more rich, intense flavor of the chicken croquettes , everything hits the mark here. Peruvian chicken melts in your mouths, sunk into a green risotto so delicious and filling it could be its own meal. Squid and shrimp glisten above a delicate crispy fish, soft to the mouth. The restaurant is tasteful and fun, its bar and nearby table tops the best choice among the nearby dining room. First class service from our amiable waiter, Brayan, seals the deal, leaving this discriminating foodie in a state of wonderment. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
I had an great experience. Food was AMAZING. Started with the empanadas, chicken & beef was yum. Loved the chicken more. The sauce was crack. Washed it down with an alcoholic drink: pisco sour traditional. Entree was Aji De Gallina, desert was arroz con leche cheesecake. 10/10 on everything !
Food was delicious!! Our server was Paola and she went above and beyond. She explained the menu, made suggestions, and overall super attentive. We tried the Bao buns 10/10 😋, tostones which were also great. The picture below was the Arroz con Pollo, so much food! Definitely going to come back. Happy Hour drinks were also great!
The place is kept pristine, the music is not loud so conversations can be maintained without screaming. The food: We started with a causa Tartare and some anticuchos (skewers) both dishes were done to great detail and their flavors were quite delectable, my only complaint will be about the anticucho: quite expensive for just 3 pieces of meat. We had then a variety of dishes: ají de gallina, 2 types of ceviche and rice dish, all of them had a great presentation and the flavors were exceptional. Overall it has been a nice experience, the atmosphere is excellent for either a romantic dinner or a family one, will come back to try the other dishes.
Bryan was honestly the best! From the moment we sat down, he was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without us even having to ask. He’s really friendly, charismatic, and just made the whole experience way more enjoyable. The food was really good too, but what stood out the most was the excellent service we got from him. It’s not every day you get a server who genuinely cares and goes the extra mile, so we really appreciated it. Bryan definitely made our visit special!
We had a great time at Pisco y Nazca. We made a reservation for 7:15 pm on a Saturday. And was immediately seated. The restaurant was bustling. But even though it was crowded, we were seated by the window so it wasn’t too loud that we can’t chat across the table. Paola was our server and she did a great job recommending food for us to try. It happened to be restaurant week so we got some amazing food with a great price. We had ceviche and tuna taco as appetizers. Big portion! Both our entrees (chicken pasta and beef tenderloin) were really good. And their cheesecake is fluffy and soft. Highly recommended!
Axel provided excellent service—friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made great recommendations and made our experience at Pisco y Nazca even better. Would definitely return!
By far the best Peruvian restaurant food I’ve had. Rice, steak, and fries were seasoned to perfection. The gravy that comes with the lomo saltado hit different. Gotta pull back up to this joint. On point. I like this 🔥
Am AMAZING brunch experience! Absolutely great 3-course menu, lots of options, everything was delicious, beautiful, and the service was the BEST, thanks Javier! We enjoyed the Lomo Saltado and Steak and Eggs!
Drianny was all around amazing. Answered all our questions and was very patient with our non Spanish speaking friends. I will ask for her next time I go.
Theee friends and myself came here for a Holiday lunch to have a few small plates. The food was sooo satisfying and came out quickly. Daniel was amazing and gave us fantastic descriptions of the food and awesome recommendations. I love this place and will definitely be back.
Paola made our visit absolutely unforgettable — her service was incredibly attentive, friendly, and she gave us the best recommendations; the food was delicious, especially the Trío de Ceviches which is now my favorite, and you definitely can’t miss the Passion Fruit Pisco; we’re already planning our next visit and we’ll 100% be asking for Paola again because she truly made the entire experience exceptional!
Great food and service all around, Jhon the server was great. Have been here multiple times and will come back definitely. Jhon provided many great recommendations and they were all fantastic. Highly recommended. We celebrated our anniversary there and it was the right decision. We got a few surprises.
Located in the previous McCormick and Schmicks and Cesco, this place was hopping on a very busy Wednesday night. Highly recommend reservations. Most of the tables here can accommodate 2-4 people. Larger parties will be in the private room or closer to the front. They do have happy hour which consists of drinks specials only. I had two Pisco sours and boy did they pack a punch. You can order from your table as well. I was quite tipsy! We had a party of eight and since the place was packed, service was a little slow. I did enjoy their tuna tartare tacos and Croquetas to start. For main dishes, I enjoyed the Tallarines a la Huancaina- pasta was good as well as the sauce. The Lomo Saltado was okay, a little salty and the tenderloin was not tender and was cooked well done. I did request it medium rare, oh well. My Mom did enjoy the Pescado a la Macho. Large piece of fried fish with seafood. Overall, I will come back and try their other dishes. Glad it opened in Bethesda and it’s a good option if you aren’t looking for American food which Bethesda has plenty of.
Came here recently for a friend’s birthday dinner on a Saturday night—restaurant was pretty crowded, with energetic vibe and cute inside! For appetizers, we enjoyed the Carne Empanadas and Pork Belly Bao Buns—both well flavored. Conchitas la Parmesana was overloaded with too much parmesan cheese and the scallops were small. Nothing special of the Furai Roll (salmon, avocado, cream cheese). Tallarines à la Huacaina was okay but the linguini pasta lacked flavor and the tenderloin was over cooked. Chicharron de Pescado was my favorite dish, the creamy sauce was a good flavor with the crispy fish bites. Lomo Saltado was well flavored too but again, the seared tenderloin was over cooked so the meat was tough to chew. For dessert, we tried the Pionono (Dulce de leche & Nutella sponge cake) and birthday girl got some cookies with a candle. For cocktails, got Guapo’s Chilcano and Lychee Chilcano—not a fan, the drinks were very sour. But ordered White Tea shots and those were delicious. And our server Paulo was great!
Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Fancy place with good tasting food. Vibe was very welcoming. Menu prices are on the high side, but expected. Server Jhon (spelled this way) was good, but could have been more attentive in checking table. We had to keep calling server's attention to refill beverages. Sometimes, even twice. Nonetheless, it was a good dining experience overall.
It’s a great place to vibe, good location. Husband liked his beef dish, but I was slightly disappointed with the Peruvian paella, but their variety of cuisine options from traditional Peruvian food to sushi made things complicated personally. Loved their cocktails options and servers were nice.
We decided to give it a second chance since our first visit was right after they opened, assuming they might still be working out the kinks. Unfortunately, it still didn’t quite meet our expectations. The atmosphere remains the highlight, pleasant and well put together, but the food still leaves room for improvement. The causa de pollo had an excessive amount of mayonnaise, which overpowered the rest of the flavors. The pollo saltado was noticeably salty. Also, you have to specifically ask for canchita and cremas, as they’re not brought to the table unless requested. The brownie style dessert tasted more like something store bought from a supermarket rather than freshly made. The rest of the dishes were okay, but overall, the experience didn’t quite live up to what we were hoping for.
I have eaten at multiple locations, including Miami, Washington, DC, Reston, VA, and Bethesda, MD. Since Bethesda is my hometown, it is naturally the location where I dine most often. Jan 31st, however, was an extreme disappointment. I have to say, the food is usually very good. The service has always been just okay, but tonight was the worst experience I have ever had. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. for our dinner reservation, and our ceviche and anticuchos came out right away. We had also ordered lomo saltado and empanadas for dinner. I let our waitress know we were ready for the next round, and she said the food would be coming shortly. “Shortly” turned into 15 minutes, and then she came out with only the empanadas. I asked her where the lomo saltado was, and she told me they had run out of rice. She apologized and said that if we wanted the dish now, she could substitute the rice with plantains. I said no—we wanted rice, not plantains. I asked how long the wait would be for the rice, and she said she would check. I took a disappointing bite into the empanadas, which had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. A few minutes later, the manager came over to speak with us. He was apologetic about the rice situation and asked if we wanted to order something else. I asked how long the wait for the rice would be, and he said 10–15 minutes. At this point, we had already been waiting over 20 minutes, and it was past 9:10 p.m. I told him we would wait and that I was sending the empanadas back because they were extremely disappointing and not how they had been before. He took them back and brought me a menu to order something else. After choosing another dish, I asked what he was going to do to make this right. He said he would be comping the full check, which I appreciated. While we were waiting, a family sat in a booth in front of us after we had already ordered our meal, and they received lomo saltado and arroz con mariscos. I pointed this out to the manager and said, “I can’t help but feel like we were skipped and that they’re eating what was supposed to be our lomo.” By the time we finally received our food, it had been over 30 minutes since the rice issue and nearly an hour since we had our appetizers. We then ordered dessert, which is the main reason I am writing this review. Dessert should not take a long time, yet it took over 10 minutes to arrive. We ordered one dessert for the table and one to go, since the one I wanted (pionono) comes with ice cream. The pionono was just okay and overly sweet with the Nutella, but fine. We also ordered a tres leches cake to go. When I got home and was putting the tres leches in the fridge, I noticed it didn’t look right. It didn’t look right because it was the end piece of the cake—dry sponge, with no milk soaked into the sponge cake at all. The milky cream that should have been absorbed into the sponge was just sitting on the side. Oh my God. It was 10:30 p.m. by the time we left the restaurant, and we were one of the last tables to leave, which makes me feel like we were given whatever scraps were left of the tres leches. While I appreciate the apologies and the full comp of our meal, what I really want is true improvement at this location. I want to come here with confidence that I will be treated fairly and given the attention I deserve as a paying patron. I would much rather pay for my meal and receive decent service than get a free meal and have my time wasted. I am Peruvian and have always vouched for this restaurant as a good place to eat Peruvian food. I still believe the food itself is great, but I am not sure I will be returning to the Bethesda location—at least not until reviews show significant improvement in customer service.
