Our last evening in Los Angeles—and at the same time the final night of our honeymoon—could not have been more perfect. We deliberately chose Spago Beverly Hills to celebrate this special occasion, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the valet parking and the aperitif at the bar to the attentive table service and the warm farewell, every member of the team was consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming. The menu recommendations provided by the service staff were excellent, and each dish was absolutely delicious. We truly felt well taken care of and were able to enjoy every moment of this unforgettable evening. Thank you for creating such a memorable experience. We will certainly return to Spago the next time we are in the United States.
Best meal I’ve ever had in my entire life. Everything was perfect - from the top notch service to the beautiful restaurant to the amazing atmosphere to the mouthwatering food! Super accommodating for dietary restrictions and allergies. Spoil yourself and get the wagyu steak!
It was so delightful. The staff is so friendly. And the food is delicious. It was packed and everyone is in a good mood and happy. We felt at home - and loved the Weiner schnitzel!! Love it
I had a really good experience at Spago restaurant. The ambiance of the place is very nice and clean. The food tasted great and the presentation was also great. The staff was polite and professional. It is a nice place to enjoy good food for a special occasion.
My husband I dined at Spago on the 13th and the entire experience was phenomenal but what drove me to write this review was the service. Our server, Josh, was truly the most outstanding server I've ever had. Josh was personable, kind, spoke intelligently about the food and restaurant. All of the usual attention to detail that you could expect from a fine-dining establishment of this reputation but Josh seemed to effortlessly go above and beyond, for that I am extremely grateful because I know that he was a key component in what made the experience unforgettable. Thank you Josh and thank you Wolfgang!
Excellent menu, wine selection, and culinary experience. They brought us samples of the glass of wine we selected initially to be sure it was what we wanted. One of us as well as at least another couple at a different table, after having a more indifferent reaction to the taste of our chosen selection, the matre de selected another for us to taste based upon what we told them that furdt taste lacked. And we both selected the 2nd one offered, which I suspected would be more expensive than my original choice but I didn't mind because it was so more what I was in the mood for. The food, wine, service and ambiance all where what one would hope for and expect at such a high end restaurant but too often is disappointed at other restaurants. However, not tonight! We would definitely come again on a special occasion. Our cost with 3 courses and 2 rounds of excellent wines was $200 per person plus tip. And we gladly paid it and would gladly do so again for the same outstanding experience. Thank you!
Consistently wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The place is warm, inviting and classy- but not stiff and stuffy. Chef Puck's mingling with the guests is a testament to that. He has every reason to be proud of his long-established restaurant and the excellent food here. The caviar cannoli, persimmon burrata, chicory salad, hamachi, lobster pasta, jidori chicken, apple strudel, cheese plate were all delicious with it's own unique twist. Nothing was ordinary.
We had a great time at Spago! The pizza was legendary with a crust that was thin, crispy and unique. We had the tuna cones which has a crunchy umami cone. We had the wagyu, chicken and branzino entrees and they did not disappoint. The vibe was friendly and relaxed, not stuffy. Highly recommended.
The service was incredible. Wine and water were topped up without asking, service was discreet but efficient. Courses were timely and food was great. We sat on the patio, which was a decent size, but felt intimate. Decor was lovely. Allowed corkage, so the wine was fantastic ;) Stafford was accommodating when we had someone join for dessert - they just rolled with it to make room despite the restaurant being busy.
2nd city of 3 cities in a row, I find myself in Beverly Hills again, and instead of eating hotel food, I decided to finally treat myself to Spago. Matt the maitre d' was wonderful greeting me, as I arrived a bit early, before opening. This was a great thing, as I got a glimpse of the man himself in the huddle as I sat at the bar! I didn't capture him in my pic. He walked through after I took it. The setting was relaxing and contemporary, with garden seating off the bar area and an enclosed area in the back. I sat in the open garden area as it was a lovely evening. The service was better than exceptional. 12/10 stars. Every server took care of every table, leaving no one passed by. Outstanding! The meal started with a chef's canapé of gruyere cheese mix in a choux served on a ceramic stump. One pop of absolute pleasure! I ordered the Jindori chicken and am so glad I went there instead of the gnocchi as I just wanted to jump into the potato puree and au jus and swim like Ann Margaret did in the beans in the movie Tommy! The crispy skin contrasting with the juicy chicken paired with the wild mushrooms... just WOW! I couldn't stop eating! Even though I was pretty full, I still couldn't pass up the Basque cheesecake. It was so soft and creamy in the middle you could schmere it! And you could see the millions of pure vanilla beans in the cream!! Yum! Topped with berries and whipped cream, this and a cappuccino were a perfect ending to my meal. Thanks to all the staff for a memorable meal and evening.
Make reservations! The high quality ingredients are worth experiencing. I like how disciplined the dishes are: nothing is over seasoned, flavors just exist on the palate with minimal effort, ingredients speak for themselves. Can feel a bit crammed, loud, difficult to navigate through the tightly space tables, but as a result the energy and the enthusiasm is elevated throughout the restaurant. I DO NOT recommend the salmon pizza. It will make you super full so only order this signature dish, if you are going multiple times, sharing, or are ok with taking food home.
My husband took me to Spago as a surprise to celebrate my birthday. What a treat! The service was impeccable. It is clear from the moment you park the car in front of Spago that every single staff member strives for excellence. We were seated in a comfortable booth inside and enjoyed seeing the lighting changing as the sun set happened late. The ambiance is sophisticated, yet comfortable. We felt very lucky to have an extremely kind and sweet server named Rita. Her assistants (who brought in the food, the drinks, removed empty dishes, lit up my birthday candle) were also kind and professional. They all brought a feel of being happy to be there in that given moment. As for dinner, I'll name my favorite dishes: * the tuna cones * the branzino (I think the best I ever had) * the peach strudel (inspired) dessert I appreciated the personalized touch of having my name written following the "happy birthday" wish with our dessert. Mr. Wolfgang Puck came to greet us at our table at the start of the evening, which was quite sweet. As we were walking to leave the restaurant, many of the staff members thanked us and wished us a good rest of the evening. Impeccable, from beginning to end, with the addition of a follow up email on the following day.

Hearth Baked / Bread Box Three breads. The buckwheat baguette was the standout—chewy, flavorful, and dangerously good with Vermont butter. The dark seeded rye was forgettable, and the rosemary–sumac carta di musica was very thin, heavily spiced, and a bit oily. Overall fine, but not worth the $26. Big Eye Tuna Cones (bar menu only) Crispy sesame–miso cone filled with tuna, tobiko, and a sweet-spicy garlic aioli. Light, clean, and surprisingly refreshing. You have to ask for this one. House Cured Smoked Salmon Pizza (bar menu only) A must-try anywhere, but this version was just okay—nothing memorable. Liberty Duck Breast Ordered medium and cooked very well. Tender, fine texture with light fruity sweetness, though there’s still a hint of duck gaminess. Portion was generous (three pieces), served over wrapped kimchi—creative and interesting pairing. Austrian Wiener Schnitzel First time trying this style, and it was a pleasant surprise. The kitchen split the two cutlets onto separate plates, which was thoughtful. Veal was tender and flavorful, served with jam, cucumber salad, potato salad, beet salad, and lemon. Tasted great, though presentation leaned casual rather than refined. Kaiserschmarrn Excellent. Not overly sweet, with a texture between soufflé and pancake. The raspberry chocolate ice cream and almonds were great, though the strawberry jam underneath was a bit too sweet. Dark Chocolate Soufflé Warm, rich, and satisfying with ice cream and cream. Good, but less memorable than the Kaiserschmarrn.
We sat in the patio and it was nice there with two fireplaces and place heaters keeping us cozy. The table was rickety and we had to ask for it to be stabilized twice. No one came to give us the menu or ask us about our drink orders for about 10 mins. When someone did pay us attention they were super nice and helpful. We ordered the following: 1) tuna cones - 5/5 absolutely delicious. High quality tuna, delicious sauce, served in a crunchy cone. 2) Singaporean style Branzino -5/5 Very delicious. Generally we are used to having a branzino roasted anccording to Italian or Greek recipes. But this was lightly fried and served with a delectable sauce on a bed of veggies that included lotus roots. 3) Jidori chicken - 4/5 the technique on this dish is amazing. The chicken is perfectly cooked. The goat cheese is snuck in between the meat and the skin. The Chanterelle mushroom and the mashed potatoes make a rich earthy combination. The only reason to take off a star was that the chicken was under salted 4)Kaiserschmarn - 5/5 The pancake style German dessert was soft and fluffy, and not too sweet. Perfect. I think the raspberry coulis and the strawberry ice cream was too sweet and imparted a cloying quality that was not needed. 5) The Domaine Huet Chenin Blanc and the Riesling wines - 5/5 both wines were lovely and it was wonderful to try them first before ordering. The pour quantity was small for a high end restaurant While the service was attentive, we felt that it was slow and a little disjointed. At a restaurant with such a pedigree we expected a smoother service that could be more timely. We will be back to try other options from the menu. The food was top class!
I expected more from the one and only wolfgang p. More props to the texture of fresh pastas than the flavors on them. I tried nearly every dish and am having a hard time picking my favorite because no single dish really stood out. However i have to acknowledge that my expectations were really high and Spago would have impressed me had I not come in with preconceptions. Service could only be excellent as my experience was in a private room. However the benefactor of the evening did later express some complaints working with our host. As an attendee this went unnoticed, but food for thought.
Came to this absolute classic and we were treated very well by our servers - the only reason they lost marks was that it was a little slow between bouts of attention. Food was good, not great, but the asparagus soup was incredible. The atmosphere felt a little fusty, old and low energy - but we did go on a Wednesday. Glad we ticked it off the list

Very posh and very upscale restaurant with exquisite clientele. Chef is there for 40+ years and is welcoming customers. Food is expensive and good.
Beautiful sleek restaurant and Good food Misleading pricing: Lobster farfalle pastas listed at $46. Waitress then asks "would you like the appetizer or entree size?". Bill comes for "1 1/2" pasta for $69. Same thing for short rib gnocchi; 2 pastas for $88 instead came on bill as " 3 gnocci" for $132. Never any mention of different pricing. In my opinion, the menu should just have transparent pricing like "$46/69" that the waitress then explains is app and entree pricing.
How much is still water? I learned a life lesson last night at Spago. This was my first time at Spago and the food was really quite good. We ordered a couple appetizers, our main courses and three desserts. The desserts were all excellent. So why the 3 stars? Well, that is where the life lesson comes in. We sat down and someone asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We ordered still and they brought a bottle of Acqua Panna. Now this is not some obscure Austrian bottled water. This seems to be the new standard water at So Cal restaurants. However, unlike other restaurants I have been to Spago, has decided to charge $12 a bottle. Maybe after we ordered the third bottle someone might have offered they had tap water. But nope we ordered 5 bottles and were charged $70 for them. I mentioned to the waiter at the end that my daughter was irritated by the price of the bottles and he laughed it off. I was also irritated but felt that is what I got for not asking about the price but I brought it up to the waiter for him to know $12 is a ridiculous price to pay for water. He still charged us the $70 which was 12% of our total bill. The water, in total, was our second most expensive item on our bill. Back to the life lesson I learned, which is to always ask for tap water. I just figured it might be $6 per bottle but nope I guess that is how they pay their rent by charging as much for a bottle of water as a bottle of beer. I hope they train their staff to include tap water as a water option. Would I recommend Spago to a friend? Sure, but I will definitely warn them to not order the still or sparkling water. As Joey Swoll might say, Spago do better!

My husband and I first dined here in 2021 or 2022 and loved the food so much that we made a point to return on our next trip to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, our second visit in December 2025 will be our last. While waiting for our table, we ordered drinks at the bar. When our table was ready, the hostess carried our drinks on a tray and asked us to follow her. As my husband was taking his seat, the hostess turned toward him and they accidentally bumped into each other, causing his drink to spill onto the floor and leaving only about a third of it in the glass. The hostess appeared upset, asked staff to clean the floor, and then walked away without apologizing or checking to see if my husband was okay. No one offered to replace the spilled drink or even asked whether we wanted to order another one. While I understand that a complimentary replacement may not always be possible, the complete lack of acknowledgment or basic courtesy was disappointing. Although the food itself was very good, this awkward and poorly handled interaction negatively impacted our overall dining experience and left a lasting impression.

It was very disappointed. The food and prices are a joke. Cannot believe there are still people going to this restaurant
We went for the LA tasting menu but ended up ordering off the regular menu as we didn’t like the choices. First we ordered the bread course (?) which was amazingly pedestrian. We ordered drinks as well. The drinks were not brought. The drinks came as the very fast entrees were brought to the table. When we complainer to the server that who wants a martini or mocktail with your main course, he gave us a dirty look and said the main course came early. But not mention the drinks too late. For the rest of the meal he basically ignored us. My duck was very UNDERWHELMING! My husband’s Chicken Schnitzel was AWFUL!!!!!! The only great thing was the desert. Very bad meal for $300. Really, Spago and Wolfgang Puck out to be embarrassed.
