This is a truly great pizza restaurant. We took a trip off 22 of us and they had room for all of us. Our favorites were the pepperoni, cheese and the pesto pizzas. We also enjoyed the wings and calamari. The staff was wonderful. I highly recommend The Slice and Pint.
Great pizza spot with El Segundo brewing taps. All the pizza chicks are very good with the soft doughy slices. We got the half cacio e pepe and surfin bird that was delicious and not too greasy. The garlic knots were great with the marinara sauce along with the Caesar salad. The staff was super nice and attentive and were quick in getting our trays and trash out of the way while we enjoy the meal and chatted. The atmosphere is very much a pizza parlor shop but with casual vibes and sports to watch.
Oh, I love this little gem of a pizza place! Their crust is perfectly crispy yet chewy, loaded with fresh toppings that burst with flavour-like that Margherita with juicy tomatoes and silky mozzarella. The staff are so warm and welcoming, and the vibe? Pure magic. Five stars, hands down-I'm already craving my next slice!
The Slice & Pint is the perfect place to go for families or groups to catch a game while enjoying delicious food and a beer in a casual environment. Our family headed down there to watch the Dodger game and everyone had something they loved. The Carnitas Pizza special was fantastic with a hint of spice (I’m hoping they make it a regular menu item)! The pizza is all large, shareable and with a thin crust. The salads are fresh as well.
Came here right out of LAX for lunch, and we were not let down. I'd heard this place mentioned as a sister venue of El Segundo Brewery, so had some expectations, but I think it surpassed them! Obviously the beer is good and its brewed just a couple of blocks away so is fresh. But the pizza was amazing; my partner and I joked that we should just order one "in case its quite big"....yeah, correct decision! We just about managed to finish it between us. It had a lovely thin base with a crispy crust, and tasty pepperoni. Probably the best pizza we had during a 2 week stay in California.
One of the best slices we have had in SoCal. We are from Philly and have longed to get a good slice across so cal. Little to no flop, sauce was light and fresh, crust absolute monster texture. Great crisp, cooked just right. The meatballs and sausage homemade. The price was more than reasonable. Y’all absolutely killed it.
We come for Chicken Parm Wednesdays. Sometimes they run out, sometimes they have it. If they run out, Well get the Grand Ave pan pizza with half sausage. Highly recommend that for a pizza option. I've rarely been disappointed at this joint. I like their wings too. They're dry rubbed and fried it seems, sauce on the side. Usually, I'm a sauce guy but I actually like these dry rub wings just the way they are and they go great with the solid selection of beers they always have on tap. If you can, suggest they bring back their carnitas pizza 😉
Went in on a Tuesday night for a quick beer and pizzas with friends. Lots of seats in the back at picnic style tables which is great for bigger groups as you can all fit. The hand tossed pizzas are tasty and come out pretty quick. The beer is el Segundo brewery company with some guest taps too. It’s a great spot. Recommend especially if you just want a slice of pizza, as you can that with your beer if you’re not sharing a big one with friends (or eating it all yourself - no judgement)
Landed at LAX and found an article about places nearby to try. They were not wrong about this place. Excellent service (some of the best we have had), delicious food and massive portions. We tried a couple of beers and the plus is they allow 1/2 & 1/2 pizzas so we got to try two of their signature pizzas. The small salad was huge! Also tried the meatballs and garlic knots which were outstanding! The place was hopping on a Friday night but everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Excellent atmosphere after a day or travel and they had the Dodger game on! If you’re staying near LAX this place is worth the drive/uber! Highly recommend!
The pizza crust is one of the top LA ones. I have enjoyed the vegan square without the red sauce because of the allergy to tomatoes and it was simple and yet so delicious! My husband got white cheese pizza slices with richland on top which I wish they do also with the vegan pizza, it seems like a perfect combo with the crispy crust. Everything including the IPA 'Maybe hard' beer was delicious, thank you we will ne back and will try the next door icecream place because when you bring receipt from them, you get 20% discount. Woo-hoo see you soon!
Slice & Pint is wonderful!! Pizza is awesome, pizza dough is on point and you can tell that the house wet yeast used is well made and screams pizza made by the ocean 🌊. The White dog pizza is exceptional, the hint of lemon zest brightens the herb ricotta and gives depths to the pesto) and the Rob’s in Maui pizza 🍕 is made perfect by the pickled red onion topping!! El Segundo Hammerlocks ipa goes perfect with both pizzas. The meatballs are delicious in their light and flavorful marinara and the wings with the Santa Maria dry rub are salty goodness. If you need some greens, get the Cesar salad 🥗 The staff is wonderful and kind and service is fantastic. Well done El Segundo brewing! 👍🏻👍🏻
Olives were very good, meatballs had flavor and were very soft and good. Caesar salad was good and pizza I would rate a little better than most. Busy place with some high noise but tolerable. Staff was very good and attentive. I'll go back.
With counter and/or bar service, a full menu of appetizers, salads, and entrees are available in addition to pizzas. A limited selection of pizzas are available by the slice, and the thin crust has great flavor, although it's not especially crispy. El Segundo Brewing's lineup of beers are on tap, along with a couple of guest offerings, so if a slice and a pint appeals to you, the name definitely doesn't lie.
I liked this unpretentious and casual pizza and beer joint. Nice indoor and outdoor seating areas. Staff was nice. I am from NYC and I was underwhelmed by the thin crust because it needs more cheese to be great. It’s also a bit pricy as I just popped in for a midday slice of pepperoni ( the pepperoni slices were small) and a coke and with tax it was almost $11. That seems a bit high but maybe it’s me! BUT, the PAN (deep dish) was delish! I’d come back as the full pies looked more appealing and I want to try those beers! VictorB (Ps. We came back yesterday. Beers are great!)
It’s a local favorite but I wouldn’t go back. Before reading on, I didn’t have any pizza. If you do come here, it has a great atmosphere with plenty of out door seating along with a bar. They have a good selection of beers on tap and wine. The food was blah. The wings were very over cooked and I thinking they pulled them off a hen. They just weren’t good. The calamari was decent but it didn’t have that crispy shell you would expect. Very forgettable but it would be rad to get a beer here after a surf at Porto.
I liked the food—the cheese pizza was simple but pretty much perfectly cooked and had a well-balanced flavor. The chop salad was really nice and fresh. The hazy IPA I had was pretty tasty too! So, they did great with the food. The staff was also on point and friendly. They let me just hang out for a while as I was waiting to pick up a friend from LAX. I’m really only taking a star off primarily because of the price, but also because the ordering system is quite awkward, and you can tell the staff are annoyed by it themselves. The prices are pretty high. I felt like for $10, I should get at least a salad that you could call a meal—I mean, this salad was super good, but it probably only cost $1 to make, maybe less. The ordering system is this: you pick a table, remember the table number, then go to the front and order using that table number. Seems straightforward but in practice it’s awkward since people either just seat themselves and anticipate a waiter/waitress or go straight to the counter without having looked at a table. This isn’t supposed to be a nuclear haranguing of their ordering system but I just wanted to explain the awkwardness in detail.
I arrived with friends at 9:20 pm and was informed the kitchen was closed and I could not order a whole pizza and could only order from the remaining slices. The website says the restaurant closes at 10pm. If they are going to close the kitchen that early, then they should put that on the website: “kitchen closes at 9pm.” Soooooo annoying!!!
The pizza here looked so good, but can’t comment if it tasted good. I had a long day at work and just wanted to share pizza with a friend. We waited for a table, the place was already loud enough and had many children screaming everywhere. I thought it was worth the wait with the loudness. After two hours of waiting we saw everyone that came before us had already gotten their pizzas. We were super hungry so we asked for a refund. We noticed that they hadn’t even touched our order to make. Completely forgotten. Register lady was talking to herself and being weird. Won’t get my refund till two business days have passed. What a waste of time! Ruined my night! Never going back!
