UPDATE: Had to stop in again while visiting Big Bear Lake this week. The pizza and service was perfect as usual and special thanks to Luis, who made our visit much more enjoyable. Our trip to Big Bear Lake was great and in large part to the fantastic selection of restaurants in the area. If you love pizza and are visiting Big Bear Lake, then Saucy Mama’s Pizzeria is a must. Great location with a welcoming atmosphere and fantastic staff, especially Cristian our server. And do not get me even started on the pizza, WOW, what a delicious meal. Best of all, the price of the food here is amazingly affordable, especially when you see what you get for your money. We were lucky that it was not too busy at the time and were able to be waited on immediately upon entry. There is sitting both inside and on a small patio outside. The restaurant also has a full bar for those who partake in the spirits. Plenty of parking located to the rear of the restaurant or out in front on the street, if you can find a spot. Finally, kind of jealous of all the locals that have such a wonderful restaurant at their disposal, we will be back again.

If you are going to visit Big Bear and you want good pizza, this is the place to visit. Very nice restaurant and ambiance. It's located on a pretty crowded street so parking might be limited. A parking lot is available near by and it's all within walking distance. The pizza and garlic bread were very good. Will definitely visit this location next time I come back

Solid option in the Village at Big Bear Lake. It's downtown, so expect a wait. The pizza is good, with a healthy amount of toppings and cheese. They're not big, so plan accordingly. Reasonable beer selection, though no exciting local options, mostly standard options. Cozy interior with decent decor and some patio seating as well.

Amazing pizza and wings.. good cold beer (I'm a Guinness fan) and awesome ambiance. The only thing is that you will need to wait like 30 min to be seated. Try this out..

Good spot for pizza and pastas--and one of the few places in Big Bear that's got a nice warm patio that allows for pets. Our server was good; she was attentive and kept our drinks refilled while we waited on our appetizers which seemed to take a long time to come out. It was odd that the fried raviolis arrived before the garlic cheese bread--you would think that garlic cheese bread would be pretty quick--and then our pizza and pasta arrived shortly after the appetizers. It would have been nice to enjoy our appetizers before our mains came out, but not a huge deal--maybe the kitchen was backed up or was off that day. At any rate, the "rolled lasagna" dish was a unique take on a lasagna--I would describe it more like stuffed manicotti shells than lasagna since it was two large shells stuffed with ricotta cheese, pepperoni and sausage--topped with a meat sauce. They were good! We also ordered the medium sized meat lovers pizza with jalapeños. A medium can feed 2 - 3 people; if you've got 4 of more people, definitely go bigger than a medium. They did not skimp on the ingredients, which was nice, and it was cool that they offered dressing with the pizza--we love ranch on our pizza. Overall, pretty good place for lunch or dinner. We would likely come back simply for the dog friendly patio and pizza alone.

I would give a 5 star but will have to revisit. We were suggested this establishment by locals. We got there early and had great seats on the pet friendly patio. We all shared pizzas and pitchers of beer. The pastrami pizza was our favorite. As the afternoon went on we can see crouds waiting for a seat. We'll worth the wait. We all would be happy to return.

The communication from the workers is terrible. Several of us stood in line for 1 hour just to put our names down. The host is never where they are supposed to be and doesn't notify you if you are going to get a table. The workers pass by, look at you, and communicate absolutely nothing. In the end, we had to order takeout. The food is just a normal dinner; it's not something you'd say, "I have to come back for this." It's important to note that we arrived at 6 PM and left at 9:10 PM. When we ordered takeout, the host finally approached us and said we were next for a table. We told him we had already ordered takeout but asked if he could serve it to us there since a table was ready. He refused, saying it was a "different order"! Yet, we saw other people who were allowed to take a seat. Honestly, the food is 4 out of 5, but their system is 0 out of 5. It's not enough to make good food for customers. You also have to be conscious that many people wait in line for the privilege of eating at your restaurant, and that the restaurant doesn't seem to care whether you dine there or not.

I used to love this place, service was great, pizza was fantastic. Was looking forward to it on our trip but this time the food was terrible. Service was worse. Waited 20 minutes for our server to come back so I could send food back which I never do I usually just bite the bullet. The “grandmas” spaghetti has to have grandma rolling in her grave. It was so watery and bland. Sauce wasn’t even mixed in with the noodles. Pre cooked noodles and pre made sauce just microwaved and thrown on top. It was greasy and watery even after adding sauce from the other pasta and Parmesan. The mushrooms ravioli was also frozen ravioli and very bland. But at least it was edible. Caesar salad was good but that’s about it. Never even got a refill on our soda cuz we were done by the time the server came back. Other servers didn’t at least check on us they just gossiped by the bar. And talk loudly over customers about their coworkers while we’re trying to eat from one side of the restaurant to the other. Place has really gone downhill. Won’t be coming back, if the service was at least better I would. Even the tap water tasted gross, we’re in the mountains for the love of god. Hope owner / manager sees this.

I was not happy with the food. The experience was not bad. The greeter was very friendly and communicative with the wait times and updates. The server wasn't fast but not abnormally long wait times for food, drinks, and refills. Ordered mac and cheese, pep pizza, and Alfredo pasta. The garlic bread was so tasty but the cuts were so small. The pizza was good but after a few slices it started to become overwhelming in taste. Very greasy but that's pepperoni. The mac and cheese noodles were bland but the cheese sauce was tasty. The Alfredo was horrible. I don't think they salt the water when cooking the noodles. The Alfredo sauce had no taste. I wish they used at least salt to season it. I had to ad salt and pepper just to taste something. The server would pop in occasionally for a refill and see if we were okay. The price isn't bad at all. Just not the best tasting in town.

Overall experience wasnt that bad. People are so kind. But the the meatball sub was horrible. They put too much green spices like rosemary, basil type of spice.. Idk what exactly but even meatballs turn green literally.. they need to fix that. Never eat meatball sub there. Update: the next day my stomach hurt and feel nauseous! I wish I could send it back! God forbid that you have a family of more than 5, because if you do, you won't be able to dine inside this restaurant. At the time of this review, we attempted to get a table yesterday and today and both occasions, we were turned away by different staff members who told us that a party of more then 5 will not be seated. They also told us that they could do 3 and 3 separately, but we maybe seated on different sections of the restaurant and at different times. Not exactly what I would expect from any restaurant. I came to the conclusion that maybe we should order the food to go. But then again, why should I give this restaurant my business If they can't properly accommodate us. So we left. Did I mention we got the same nonsense both days and with different members. We ended up eating at Peppercorn Grill across the way. They provided way better service an upscale dining experience and their pizza is top notch. Give them a try.

Absolutely terrible service. We came in for a pickup order and were deliberately ignored for about 20 minutes. We were told to wait near the bar, and every single female server who walked by avoided helping us. I made direct eye contact with multiple lady servers, and they all chose to ignore us completely. What made it worse was watching them focus on tables and taking orders while treating pickup customers like they didn’t exist. Pickup is literally the easiest part of service, just handing over food, yet they couldn’t be bothered. When someone finally helped us, it was the one male server, who was actually really nice. Even then, our order came out wrong. He fixed it and gave us a small pizza to make up for it, which we appreciated, but that doesn’t excuse how poorly the rest of the staff behaved. The female servers clearly did not care about pickup orders at all. If you’re coming here for pickup, be prepared to be ignored unless you get lucky and one specific employee helps you.
