Great service, Sweet Tea and Excellent Steak!!!

Great service and really good food (stuffed flounder for me, bacon wrapped shrimp for him). Wine choices were limited to a few Sutter Home varieties but that was fine for a very casual dinner with football, and that was the atmosphere we were looking for on this Monday night!

Good food, good folks, music was a little off. But this place is definitely recommended. May not look like much on the outside. But the good is spot on. And the wait staff will keep ya smiling.

Road trip home the hotel recommended this place. It’s was great! We had appetizers and a meal

I got Seafood gumbo: very delicious Crab cake: served in crab shell, yummy Fried shrimp: yum Shrimp Po boy: awesome 👍 Hush puppies: it was like a magic trick, they were here and then suddenly the disappeared? Did I really eat them that quick? One life's unsolved mysteries. Haha. In the picture is ribeye steak under a bed of broccoli and zucchini, baked potato w/ cheese and sour cream, grilled shrimp, seafood gumbo, and pecan pie!

Stopped by on our way back to San Antonio from a roadtrip to Arizona and New Mexico. The seafood was great but what made a lasting impression was the service! I wish I had gotten her name, ponytailed waitress with a never-ending smile and personality to go with it! I counted 8 tables and the bar and she took care of us all! She said she had 14 years there and it showed! Best service ever and if I lived in the area I'd be a regular there!

I've been coming here for years, but have never ordered the steaks. Instead, I stick to the seafood. The 'bucket of crabs' and 'bucket of seafood' is absolutely a TREAT! Oh, it's gonna be messy, but it's going to be delicious, too! (Yeah, it's going to have a lot of butter, but that's one thing that makes it delectable.) The fried seafood is also good and I've never been disappointed. Wait staff has always been attentive and friendly, and even during their busiest of times, they strive to keep everyone happy and many times, laughing as well.

The food was amazing. The steak was perfectly done, the crab was fresh, the baked potatoes were perfect, and we would eat there again. Will be visiting again.

The food is amazing. I’ve been here multiple times and have no complaints over anything I have eaten. The service is 2nd to none. I haven’t seen 3 waitresses work that hard and well together in a long time. By far the best place to eat in Big Springs.

Let’s just say that I stopped by this place randomly and was pleasantly surprised. It seems like one of those mom and pop spots. Whenever I go to Texas I always go for the steak. I got the ribeye and grilled vegetables let me say this if steak had a heavenly angel it dwells in this place. The steak literally melts in your mouth while bursting all kinds of delicious juices in your mouth.

I have to get five stars the place is unassuming but the food is really good and great value for the money. I got a nice size salad a full baked potato and steak shrimp with veggies and a half sizzling plate Dennis is the Coke and he’s been here for five years and he cooked perfectly with less salt just like I wanted ! I will come back here again when I’m in big Spring

Food was good, my in laws loved it so much we came again the next day. First day I had the seafood platter which was good, everything was deep fried and at times was a little hard to differentiate what it was I was eating but still good. I wasn’t a big fan of the stuffed crab, but my wife ate it and she didn’t say anything bad. Next day I had the steak and lobster and it was delicious. Steak was nice and big and lobster doesn’t taste fishy and was great as well. Our waitress was nice and friendly. We will come back here every time we’re in big spring.

Talking about a diamond in the rough! Very rough.... Do not let appearance fool you. The food is chef quality, could hold its own in downtown Dallas. Completely shocked this is in Big Spring!!! Our new favorite.... Yummmm

What a surprise, a hidden gem, been looking at this place to stop by and eat for a while now, I should have stopped a long time ago, from the start the staff was very friendly and helpful, not missing a beat on my table, friendly, polite and with a smile. The food was fresh, hot and plenty for the price you pay for. Will be stopping more often to eat when I get the chance to eat. I didnt take the pic of the food, but once I seen the plate it was time to chow down. if you are on a diet not the place for you.

Just ate dinner here, as a long haul trucker I have ate at some good spots along the way. This was one of the best. The steak was the best I have ever had, better than the one I had at Chris Ruth’s! Service was amazing and very friendly. I hope to come here again one day . Oh and the coconut cream pie was off the chain good.

This is a small authentic hole in the wall restaurant in Big Spring, Texas. The Ribeye and Cajun shrimp combo was excellent, perfectly seasoned and priced right. The waitresses are super nice. The restaurant is full of hard working Texans who come in after working in the oil fields to have a steak and a beer. I walked over from the TA truckstop. Can you deal with country western music and football on tv with your Cajun dinner? I highly recommend this place!

Delicious I don't really expect much in the way of seafood being in West TX however this is pur first time here and it's amazing! We got the fried alligator as a appetizer my husband and son have never had it and love it the salmon is better priced and better tasting than most places like outback etc. My son got the shrimp platter and loved it j got the trio fajitas but was stuffed from the alligator and ended up taking half home but was delicious as well

I sat down and was immediately tended to. I ordered an appetizer of fried pickles. I ordered a steak, which was phenomenal. And grabbed dessert, the New York Cheesecake was good.

Soo... I'm just another trucker passing through, and got lucky in my choice for a place to eat.. OMG the ribeye steak was soooo good and those veggies had me going in!! Definitely coming back here and I highly recommend it!!

Well worth maneuvering through the road construction. Dress is very casual…. Small town cafe atmosphere. Even though we were coming in close to closing, the staff was very welcoming. Our server, CiCi was right on time, kept our drinks filled and brought our food hot and just as we ordered. We had Ribeye steaks med rare.. perfect …baked potatoes loaded, and shared a 12 piece fried shrimp…. Large shrimp, very tasty and salads were fresh.. Will definitely be back and request CiCi as our server!

This was a great experience. The waitstaff was friendly, quick, and all-around enjoyable. I ordered the ribeye and shrimp, the steak was tender, and had a great flavor. The shrimp was good and had a great flavor, but I think it was a little overcooked. All and in all, it was a great dinner.

Visited at a very busy time of day and the place was packed. Servers were running to keep up but did a great job. Fried shrimp was delicious. Sweet coconut sauce was unique and really sweet goodness. Main drawback is the facilities were old and not updated or very clean. I will go back for the food though. Good prices too.

It was fine. Steak was cooked right, but nothing memorable. Sides were forgettable, and the vibe felt more chain than charm. Not bad, just not rush-back worthy.

I had a T Bone steak and Lobster tail. The steak was kinda small but tender and seasoned well. The Lobster tail was expertly prepared and tender, could have used a little more seasoning but in all it was a great meal.

It's good compared to a lot of places here in Big Spring. I liked the gator appetizers. There were only two ladies serving around 6pm and it got very busy, so busy they were not able to come around often enough. Also it says Texas Cajun Cafe on Google, yet the biggest sign for them says something different like Seafood and Steak. They should really fix that.

Nothing fancy, just good steaks, delicious food & friendly service. Steaks are cut thin, so they cook quickly. They are seasoned well, cooked to order, and come with 3 good-sized shrimp. They also come with a big baked potato & salad bar.

What a pleasant surprise this place was to visit. While this quaint unassuming restaurant has fantastic seafood offerings, there are some things that don't come to par in regards to quality. The crinkle cut fries we very sub-par for claiming to be a Cajun style cafe. While chicken fried cob corn sounds good in theory, the final product leaves much to be desired. The corn itself was very bland and seemed to lack sufficient moisture. The texture was not very pleasant. The stars of the show were definitely the cornmeal jumbo fried shrimp and the delicious tartar sauce. The shrimp were butterflied and fried to a golden brown crisp. They were considerably fresh and were well seasoned. The tartar sauce was tangy and tartar and complimented the shrimp perfectly. The service was reasonable, nothing too extraordinary, and the atmosphere, while quaint, did not inspire feelings of being in a Cajun style eatery. It felt more like a barnstyle country type restaurant. Pricing was reasonable based on the local market. Overall, I give this place a strong 4 ⭐️rating.

The fish and shrimp are pretty good with large portions. Everything else is decent. Most everything here is fried. Service is kinda slow but that may depend on the night. From the time you order to the time you get your food is pretty quick and it's fresh.

I was here 12 years ago. I finally got to eat here again today. I'm a long haul trucker and a vet. I've eaten all across the country and the world. This place is still a hole in the wall with fantastic food..had the gumbo, thinner base than before but still outstanding. Hush puppies have gone down hill.. The scallops and shrimp were top notch.. Staff was friendly and on point.. Definitely will be back and highly recommend it..

Had a burger. That and the fries were good. Nothing to write home about, but I was satisfied. The place itself is very basic, and it took a while to get service and then our meals. Once we got service, the service itself was standard (no complaints). We were on a long road trip and honestly spent more time here than was my preference. I didn't pick the place. That said, if you have time and the cajin seafood options appeal to you, maybe it's worth checking out; I couldn't say. Again, outside of a delay, the food did hit the spot.

appetizer just dropped it and walked off. Didn't offer plates or sauce. Ignored me when I tried to get her attention. Finally recieved cocktail sauce and ranch..from another table. Ranch warm and coagualated around spout and outside of bottle. No sauces put back in fridge just left on tables and moved around. Never like that before. Our waitress kept disappearing. Figured out later she was going out of sight to use her phone. Cant have shrimp changed to bacon wrapped shrimp for an upcharge anymore. Which was a disappointment. Won't go back. Too pricey for crappy service and not getting what you ordered. Just ate and left .. annoyed. Positive note...tea wad good

The meat was tough and was brought in a searing hot plate. The steak was not allowed to rest. Fish (2) + Frog Legs (2) $12.99 Side salad & coleslaw 🥗 "". Coleslaw, about ¼ cup. Good flavor. 🐟 Fish (2) I'm so used to eating beer batter fish, that when I got the cornmeal breded fish it has a sandy/gritty texture. The first time I went it was great even though they didn't have a soda machine. Wanted to go a second time however this time it was different. I waited 15 minutes and watched as one waitress was on her phone and the other just entertaining one table. After the 15 minutes they finally go to a table that came AFTER ME AND MY FAMILY. I left and called them to see what there excuse was going to be and she tells me that she talked to me and told me she had to clean up a mess that NEVER happened. The only thing said to me and my family was "Sit wherever!". I told her she was lying and she said "well she may not have heard me" and hung up. Never want to go there again unless they hire better waitresses!

Sketchy looking from outside, kinda dark and dreary inside. Smells like sulphur and grime when you are in the building. Service was super great and friendly. The girls aren't the problem, but the owner could DEFINITELY refresh the place and have some professional cleaning done. Shrimp was great, crab cakes were freezer burnt.... Definitely was NOT happy with the quality of the food for the price you are paying.

The hubby and I went on a Friday, it was not busy at all yet the waitress still tookawgile getting our order. The food was really good, we got calamari and fried gator, and the grilled Trio which included grilled chicken, fajitas and shrimp. The only thing that I did not like was the service. The waitress was super slow and kept forgetting to bring me extra items, refill our drinks. Plus the pricing was ridiculous for the service.

The place was a mess with food all over the booths. The service sucked. We were never offered any refills and had to wait half an hour for our check. Be prepared to go to the toilet afterwards.

To start off I don't like writing negative reviews. I have a restaurant background of over 20 years in a steak and seafood restaurant. When looking at the menu I was shocked at how cheap everything is at this restaurant. After ordering the bacon wrapped shrimp and the ribeye and shrimp for my wife. I was very disappointed. My wife's steak was mediocre but not bad for the price. Her shrimp was not as good as what I'm use to but wasn't too bad. My bacon wrapped shrimp were terrible. Pretty obvious they precooked it and then microwaved it too order. They were dry and chewey compared to my wifed juice shrimp. There is no way they cooked the bacon wrapped shrimp to order. They only five stars I give this place is to our waitress.

Went for dinner, food was not fresh. Being a food enthusiast I would rate food 2/10. Wouldn't recommend Got buffalo wings in an appetizer- it was 6 nuggets for 8 bucks, oily without taste. For dessert I had banana pie- not fresh at all absolutely falling apart. Overall experience 3/10

Update: may, 2, 2025. Ordered another t-bone and shrimp. I am pretty sure there should be a T shaped bone in this cut of meat. There isnt even a bone.26.99 for a Non Tbone is robbery My wife and I came in to eat after a hiatus. She ordered New York strip, I tried the T-bone for $27. My steak was thin, if there was 6 ounces of meat, I would be shocked.

Not only that but they tasted a little like burnt oil. I also had to go back because they forgot to add bacon to my burger. The lady that took my order was really nice though.
