Came on a whim, was looking for something good to eat for a brief stay in town. I was not disappointed! The Salmon is an 8oz portion, more than enough and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed every bite...shout out to Brittany for her amazing and crazy fast service. Promote ahead of peers!

"I recently dined at The Windmill and was blown away by their shrimp and scampi fettuccini. The dish was cooked to perfection, with tender shrimp and flavorful scampi sauce that was absolutely delicious. I also had the pleasure of trying their mango margarita, which was the perfect complement to my meal. The Tara our service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend The Windmill for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a great atmosphere."

Food was delicious, and service was very attentive. Compared so many other establishments, the noise level allowed for conversation. A very pleasant meal!

Very good food, steak was cooked just the way I like it, very clean restaurant, the staff came out and cleaned as soon as a party left, good friendly atmosphere , I will definately visit The Windmill again when I visit Billings again in the future

The windmill is a great place to have a family meal at. There staff are friendly! There’s room to have a big headcount. There fast and efficient with ordering so it makes things go smoothly. Although it is a little pricey it’s well worth a visit.

The Windmill has become our favorite nice place to dine in Billings. Not long ago, it had strange open hours, was very expensive for so-so food. Today, it has regular hours, delicious food, and good service. Last night Young had a bowl of beer chicken chili. Outstanding !! Everything else was also good, but the chili deserves special recognition. -- Also, thank you for playing 60s 70s classic rock instead of that dern cowboy music that a local competitor plays loudly. Ozzie is a very good waiter. We had a long discussion about Zinfandel wine. I commented that white Zin may have been part of the birth of California wines in the 70s, but that true red Lodi Old Vine Zin was the only palatable Zinfandel. Ozzie did not disagree but pleasantly served me a glass of your Zinfandel aged in whiskey barrles. It was very good.

Such a great atmosphere, and very VERY friendly service. So many time being here and amazing food every single time!!! And amazing place for parties and still romantic for single dinner for a couple or fun for a small group.

A must stop if you are in Billings Mt. I got the Halibut Tacos. Fantastic

We always have a large family meal At windmill during this time of the year. We happened to hit just right last week on there 18 anniversary where they had live music n complimentary champagne on top of it all. We loved they gave us a private room so we could enjoy ourselves with our family. We had a fabulous meals, Salmon with dill sauce sooo GOOD! Steaks cooked right and if you get the fired chicken it’s enough for 3 people, family’s eyes got big when they saw the fried chicken. The apple tart was a good way to finish off meal. We had the pleasure of being served by Denise she was on top of it drinks never empty and she was completely on her A Game. She really was G.O.A.T on that night.

The food was great, parking was full but we still got a table and there were open spots at the bar. The kids meals were awesomely priced. My halibut was delicious and my daughter loved the shrimp and scallop pasta. The scallops were cooked perfectly and my grandson loved his medium rare steak. Shay was our server and she was personable and attentive to our needs. Next time I am ordering shrimp because I have heard a lot of great reviews on it. I wish I could give 6 stars!!!

Wonderful staff, very accommodating for our very large group and with food allergies. The shrimp scampi was amazing, comparable to great places I've eaten at in New Orleans and Paris France. Hats off to the chef, and the fabulous staff!

First time out on the patio, and now I see why it’s one of the top-rated patios in Billings! The view was fantastic—perfect for a relaxing evening. We ordered the Italian nachos, lobster stuffed mushrooms, and steak bites for appetizers, and everything was spot on. My dad and I come here often for lunch/dinner inside, but this was my first time enjoying the outdoor setup, and it did not disappoint. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Definitely coming back!

We have dined here twice now… excellent service each time and same with the food. Their wine selection is great too…. The menu is varied, we enjoyed the filet and shrimp

Delicious food. Menu prices vary, so you're not stuck with having to get an expensive dish if you can't afford one at that time.

Love love LOVE their battered Shrimp!! The best light batter in town. We pair with a wedge salad, which is huge! Personally, I love their blue cheese dressing. Have never once had anything disappointing there. And Servers are great.

It's a great restaurant for a date night or a special occasion. Prices are a bit steep, but the food is excellent. The establishment is very nice and is very clean as well. You're going to want to make reservations is going during peak hours or go later at night to avoid the rush. The staff was very friendly and was very helpful. I will be back again and wish I hadn't waited so long to enjoy this restaurant.

Service was exceptional, considering how busy it was. We had a really long wait so server made up for it with a special. The bread is so good. Plentiful side salad. I was told the steak was really good. Prime rib was nothing more special than other places but that's always good.

I had a private event for my wedding reception this weekend and loved how the staff made everything stress free and simple. Shout out to Anthony and Kara ( I believe are their names ) who were the best servers and kept on top of everything. I couldn’t have asked for better food and environment

This place was absolutely amazing! I was visiting from NYC, and the food was simply exquisite. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly comforting. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive, always checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Her positive attitude and energy were infectious, and I’m already looking forward to returning soon.

I had a New york strip it was Amazing!! Our server Antonio was awesome, Hostess and food runner were great as well! I haven't been there in a while! I will definitely be back.

This is a great spot for lunch. Especially during the warm months when their patio is open it is really nice to eat outside. They have lunch specials that rotate. I've only been here twice for dinner and thought it was fine. But I really prefer coming for lunch, the prices are more affordable, receive more staff attention and the amount of food you receive is great.

The food was good. Wife got the roasted chicken which was seasoned nicely. The mashed potatoes were blah. I had the Mill burger which was good but had to have it remade due to not being medium rare. Prices were on the high side but other than that it was a good experience.

I’d come here for the tomato soup alone! It’s drool worthy! The chicken fried steak was just fine, I should have gotten my husbands sweet potato fries instead of the mashed potatoes though 😊

Delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere inside and outside is right by a pond. The server we had was very nice, but the wait time to get our food during lunch rush was an hour. Everything else was perfect.

Pricy. My ribs were not “fall off the bone” and the bbq sauce seemed like it was poured on top from a bottle. I actually sent it back, which I don’t typically do. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. Appetizers were good.

Normally a great place. I ordered well steak and received well done, and the creme brulee was runny but had good flavor. We went at 4 pm. It was very quiet.

The overall dining experience was wonderful. We had had the Christmas mojito and mule both were delightful drinks and the bartender was excellent. Our waiter was fantastic, attentive without being overbearing. The pork shanks wings were delicious! I had the prime rib for dinner and it was perfectly rare, tender, and flavorful. The parmesan truffle fries were crispy and tasty, and the horseradish was fresh and hot. One bit of advice: If you're serving a high quality cut of meat, and charging near $50 for it, don't give diners a steak knife from Dollar Tree to cut it with. Yes, the cheap dull steak knife detracted significantly from the dining experience. The prime rib was tender, but the dull cheap knife made it tough and awkward to cut. These things matter. Overall a great dining experience, would do it again. But id probably order something not a steak if thats the knife I get.

Had a nice family dinner at the Windmill a couple of days ago. The service was excellent, the food was excellent! Would definitely recommend the chicken fried steak, the chicken Alfredo and the finger steaks. Updated 8/13/22 Sadly I feel I need to update this review to a 3 out of 5 stars. We were there for a birthday today and had a few issues with the service, atmosphere and food. First I'd like to say I appreciate the chutzpah it takes to be a live singer. However for what ever reason the live music was out of tune and bad. As far as the food is concerned I found it to be a bit salty. Our waitress, while friendly, wasn't around very much. We never got refills on any drinks and we weren't offered a desert menu at the end of our visit. We went elsewhere for desert.

Went here to celebrate my birthday because I heard the seafood is great.I was looking forward to a great culinary experience, but instead I got glorified fast food. Honestly, I was quite underwhelmed. Everything was overbreaded and deep fried and not very tasty. I also felt really rushed.Someone grabbed up my expensive drink that wasn't quite empty, without asking if I was done. Then another server tried to take a plate that I hadn't finished The atmosphereis pleasant and i may go back for a cocktail the patio, but will skip the overpriced, underwhelming food.

Steak & lobster steak was very over cooked and lobster was dry service was good drinks wer top notch nice fun music

Our past experiences have been amazing, the food , the drinks, the atmosphere and the wait staff. I don’t know if Tera B , our waitress tonight, was having a bad day but it seemed that we were an inconvenience to her. She didn’t seem to have an eye for detail or perhaps didn’t seem to care what we wanted. Ordered water with no ice. Didn’t care. Asked for straws…twice. The straw that broke the camels back is when we got our steamed clams with burnt black bread, literally. She didn’t become ‘kind’ until she delivered the bill and called me ‘darlin’. In short, we didn’t feel welcomed or appreciated.

Usually the food is pretty good. This $28 prawn dinner is kinda sad. They look like 6 medium shrimp. And the sweet potato fries look like a small order from Wendy’s.

1 out of our 3 meals were good. 1 was ok, one was terrible which the staff did take off our bill. Staff is friendly food is not great

Read the great reviews so expected it to be solid but it took almost 2 full hours to receive our food and we were a small party of 4 with two children who ordered chicken strips. My mashed potatoes were cold and my wife’s burger was burnt (she ordered it medium). Kids stuff was hot but chicken a little bland. I do give them credit for my steak and the tomato soup though, both were great.

Never again, service sucked , messed up my order nor cared to do anything other then I'm sorry . Appetizer looked like it seen better days. Honestly not good im not sure how it received over 4 stars.🤢 Also don't get me started on the lobster tail it was completely dried out no flavor.
