Katelynn runs a great establishment here, & this is hands down the best coffee shop in Riverside!! A special thanks to Jill & her team at the Canyon Crest location, for the exceptional customer service!! They always make my coffee fresh, hot, & strong..there's also a great rewards program here..I'm highly satisfied with the way they do their business, & I definitely will be recommending this place to the people I know..
Arcade's coffee is the best in Riverside. I noticed they added a dark roast recently, but most are light to medium and are delicious. Single origins are where it's at, but the house blend (Third St) is also good. The pastries I know are all delicious but vegan options are very limited. There is a sugar cookie with sprinkles (which tbf is quite tasty). For food the avocado toast is good, but everything else is non-vegetarian. It gets pretty crowded and loud inside, the patio is nice, shaded and far enough away from the parking lot to be very peaceful.
Review Update as of September 2023: I recently came back after what seems like a year hiatus and the coffee and pastries are just as good as I remember it, if not better. Their pastries are on a rotating basis and are seasonal. This time I got their Matcha pistachio cherry muffin and a regular honey cinnamon latte and it's a chef's kiss. The muffin extremely fluffy, flavorful, and has the perfect crunch to it with it's matcha crust. Buttery, smooth, and delicate and also warm to the soul. Arcade never ceases to amaze me. The honey cinnamon latte also wonderful and it catches more of it's flavor the more you drink it. Towards the middle / end of my drink all the flavors come together. As I was about finished with my drink and pastry Westin came by to ask how the drink and pastry was and asked for my honest feedback. Amazing all around. Keep it up! Review sometime in 2022: Super good coffee with amazing amazing pastries to die for. So good .
We stopped in for breakfast, but unfortunately, they were out of French toast (lesson learned: must arrive earlier next time!). On the bright side, this gave us the chance to try some pastries and share a breakfast burrito. The Oaxacan cheese and salsa really made the burrito stand out. Our son had the avocado toast, and we also shared a Fresno chili scone and a candied bacon puff pastry, both of which were delicious! The coffee was also great, but today, it took a backseat to the food. We chatted with the staff, who kindly offered us a sample of the watermelon-flavored canned coffee. It had one of the most unique flavor profiles I’ve encountered in a while, although I’m not sure I would drink it again!
Excellent as expected. Note that the signage still says “Jammin Bread” but you’re at the right place. Look for the A on the glass by the door. Lots of seating inside and out, nicely shaded in the morning. Omelette was excellent, perfect really. Baked goods are nice. Coffee is always top notch. Arcade is a winner.
Was passing by with my daughter and smelled something so amazing. Ended up following the smell here. Westin was so helpful and kind. His whole energy was nice and kind. He helped us pick our food. We got the Arcmuffin and the Steak Sando. It was so good. The place was so packed which definitely says something about the food. Only thing I would say is even though they may be busy they can’t forget safety. One of the staff spilled the latte and she was so quick to wipe it with a napkin but didn’t get it all. I seen that she was busy so I cleaned it up. Other than that it was perfect. Love the environment, great music. Need more people like Westin.
Literally the best experience you could ask for. Everything is homemade, baristas are top-notch. Service and product, impeccable. We had the caramel butter cookie (the bay-leaf caramel is once and delicious; cookie can stand on its own and isn’t too sweet paired with the caramel), the Confetti latte (New Year’s special- tastes just like birthday cake!), drip, a mocha, the bay leaf-caramel latte, and some other pastries. Couldn’t have asked for a better morning spread.
Arcade Coffee Roasters is an excellent addition to the eating alternatives at Canyon Crest Mall. The tasty menu choices are complemented by the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff. The industrial minimalistic style contributes to the experience of enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner in a relaxing environment. In case you like to drink a glass of wine accompanied by tasty tapas this is the right place to go. I will certainly come back for more culinary delights.
Our tried and true! Always have good lattes and recently loved their honey orange blossom flavor as my go to latte! We always stop multiple times when we come home for a visit
Great spot for artisan coffee and baked goods. The menu is small but unique . The coffee is exquisite and the service is great. The baristas throw down here and really make it happen . Love this place. If you’re a member of Vim and vigor here the plaza you get 20% between 7am and 9am
Breakfast, coffee, plus tip will/should prob run you around $20 per person. Outdoor and indoor seating are plentiful. Unlike the tasting room, this location is a lot more kid friendly with an outdoor fountain that can entertain tiny minds. Took around 30 minutes for our food to come out with about 60% restaurant occupancy. Excellent place to bring friends or family for a chill coffee or meal but prob not ideal for fast work lunch. Unknown whether you can buy beans here. Great overall if you’re seeking a chill, hipster vibe similar to the downtown food lab
Just so dang good. And affordable. Their lattes have a ton of flavor, you don’t even need to add anything sweet to enjoy. But if you want something sweet, their seasonal drinks never miss!
So Bakehouse by Arcade Roasters took over the old Jammin Bread storefront in Canyon Crest. I'm mentioning this because Google maps was not making it easy to find this place. It was an adventure in Google walking directions like their left is apparently not my left and .... well we found it! Eventually. So I wanted to check it out since the Arcade tasting room was so good. I went with my brother. I tried the seasonal Ginger Maple Oatmilk Latte and a gingerbread man. It was so perfect. Just enough sweetness but not too much! Lots of ginger holiday goodness. My brother got a mocha with almond milk which was pretty good. (And the gal who made it was kinda cute says Noah.) Croissant was good too. Indoor and outdoor seating available. But popular i.e. no available inside tables which is okay because the heat was suggestive of removing outerwear anyway. Friendly staff and customers help with doors if you ask. This is important because that cute coffee drink was filled to the tippy top.
drink: When I am on the road I am always looking for coffee roasters. This just makes there vanilla latte with oat milk to perfection. service: order at the counter and they will call your name when its ready. I dont bother looking anything else because I had to hit the road quick. ambiance: this place is clean, nice spot to study, catch up or hang outside and relax. no need to explain much, this review is just for me. I just found this is a chain! Sweet, ill be looking for more places along my exploration of cali.
Arcade Coffee Roasters - The Bakehouse is located in the Canyon Crest Town Centre, just steps from East Coast Bagel. I love stopping by for breakfast and coffee. They have a case full of pastries but I usually go for the Arcmuffin - sausage, frittata, their English muffin, chili crunch aioli, and cheddar cheese. This is a savory breakfast that is incredibly flavorful. They used to carry the LBS, which is Longanisa (Filipino sausage), frittata, their plain bagel, plantain ketchup, and American cheese. I recently tried their Avo Toast and was surprised how delicious it was - the flavor profile leans toward pickle and I loved it. Of course, I love pairing any of their breakfast items with either an iced vanilla latte or honey cinnamon latte - both are really good. And the baristas sure make pretty latte art. They also sell freshly baked sourdough bread, which is amazing. The ambiance is modern with a lovely atmosphere and friendly employees. Inside it’s bright with lots of natural light — my kind of vibe. The outdoor patio is where I usually like to sit. It’s especially beautiful during the spring when it’s not too hot or cold outside. Parking during the weekend mornings can be challenging, as the town center gets pretty busy. Overall, Arcade Coffee Roasters in Riverside has grown on me over the years and I just love coming back here to start my mornings with a hearty breakfast and a delicious cup of coffee.
After a chiropractor visit next door, I stopped by for a quick lunch and drink. The online menu isn't up-to-date, so I'd suggest waiting to decide what to eat until you're there. I opted for the veggie sandwich, and it was delicious! I also tried a dirty chai, which was fantastic. My brother and sister in-law tried some other delicious meat sandwiches! The service was friendly, and the place was spotless, including the bathrooms. Overall, a great experience!
I always order their iced lavender vanilla latte and it never disappoints. I love bringing friends to The Bakehouse because it's such a great place to hang out. The folks who work there are accommodating and the place just feels very welcoming. If you're not an Arcade Rewards member yet and you visit Arcade often, you should definitely join! They offer great perks and fun quests + games that make the whole Arcade experience more enjoyable.
Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was so pleasantly surprised! Upbeat, airy kind of place. Small menu of food, but all offerings are interesting and sous delicious. The bakery selection is pretty diverse, though, and everything looks beautiful. I chose a pistachio dried cherry muffin, black coffee, and the arcmuffin. They did not disappoint! Loved the coffee, and the English muffin on the sandwich was unlike any I’ve had before. Super light and fluffy on the inside with a crispy crust. It was so good! It’s a little pricey, but worth the splurge IMO. And the staff was just happy and nice to be around.
Absolutely worth the wait on a Sunday. Had the draft coffee (so it's cold and sweet) and it was the best agave infused coffee I've ever had. Their bakery is unbelievable, I've had pastries all over the country and they don't stack up to Arcade. Definitely check them out, the area is a whole lovely, lazy Sunday vibe.
Always so nice to visit arcade love the food coffee and people. For years they have brought the community together.
Visited here on Saturday afternoon. The carrot french toast was amazing, and so was the matcha latte. There were multiple seats outside - it’s quieter than inside seats, and the most important: no bugs, no mosquitoes, only sparrows chirping. Definitely a perfect place for weekend afternoon:)

Got the Blueberry Cardamom Scone and two Lattes. Lattes and scone were both good. A lot of university students on laptops so may be a good place to study, though it looks like they'd like to limit time spent here and laptop use.
Arcade is truly such an amazing place. It sets the standard for coffee and once you get used to having it it’s hard to go elsewhere. The atmosphere, the kind staff, the food, and the coffee are all exceptional. You definitely need to go. ❤️
I have been coming here for years and they are still, hands down, my favorite coffee shop. Their coffee is incredible, their food is great.. and their staff is absolutely wonderful. You have to try Arcade the Bakehouse!
i come here almost every other day never a break in in quality in neither coffee/food. taste amazing, use great ingredient with great portions. customer service is stellar. always talking to customers, very welcoming staff. love the bakehouse !

Kombucha was GREAT, not too funky but still delish. Food was alright, I got a muffin and I was okay.
My son, the unofficial familyJava expert, practically lives here. He treated me to a cup yesterday to just chill and the folks here are great. Its a wonderful lil gem. A must visit coffee hut. Its reminiscent of Cheers where Everyone knows your name. Will visit again to sample the menu.
I was visiting my family in riverside scheduled a business meeting there. I order the peach tea and an everything bagel. The place was pretty busy so the service was a bit slow. I enjoyed my tea. But my bagel was stall and I was disappointed because I was so hungry and just wanted a quick bit before my meeting. I did return it minus the bite to taste. I was refunded with no issues. But i did notice the casing for the pastries was an open case. Not sure if my bagel came from there but it was toasted so I expected crunch but it was not. It was difficult to chew. Other than my bagel 🥯 let down. The staff was friendly and attentive to my issue. I do hope the resolve the open air on the breads though.
Service is always very friendly with tons of smiles. Their coffees and pastries are delicious. I was very disappointed when they eliminated their original avocado toast from the menu, I used to get it every weekend. It has been replaced with bread that's too thick with a side of avocado smear. I also wish they would offer larger coffee sizes. Their Fresno chili scones are DELICIOUS...

This isn't the place to go if you're hungry or in a hurry. Every time I come in I wait a long time regardless of what I order or what time of day I visit. On a weekday morning when I knew I had limited time, I ordered drip coffee and a (room temp) pastry. After waiting 15 min I finally had to ask for the pastry. At 8 am I would expect more than 2 people working at a coffee shop...
The staff is polite and the environment is nice. The drinks are also great. We ordered lattes and enjoyed them. The food however was not good. We ordered the brekky sammie and the arcmuffin to take home. Both were very greasy, the bacon and sausage very oily and fatty. The arcmuffin bread was greasy as well. I had to take out the sausage because it wasnt good. In total for our meals we payed $42. The food was not worth it imo. Way too expensive to be disappointed. I do recommend their drinks though.
Unfortunately had the worst hipster avocado toast here. Deconstructed Avotoast was gross. The bread too chewy and the avo mix tasted off. The green pickles were also weird in that mix. Thought it was still the cucumber one I see people show in the reviews here. Love this place otherwise. I just think for a 15$ toast I’d be able to eat it
I enjoy this place, I really do, however, I had to give 3 stars because the food is inconsistent. I will always recommend the latte’s. Not only are they delicious, their barista’s really know what they’re doing and have completely made it an art form. Ive ordered the avocado toast on several occasions. 2 out of 3 times the bread was burnt to oblivion making it hard to cut into, and ultimately inedible. Thankfully I was able to get a good photo of the singular order that didn’t attempt to break a tooth off. The customer service is great, which is why I will continue to grab a latte from here in the future if I’m in the area.
The options are quite decent for true coffee lovers but the prices are absurd. Ordered a small carrot cake latte with almond milk and it cost me about $9. Granted it’s a specialty drink but that is the cost of a meal for lunch. I think they are able to get away with egregious rates because of the lack of competition in the area. I would rather pay $5 for a latte and tip the barista. I came the other day and got two flavored lattes (non-specialty) and I spent the same. $16+ … price gouging in its prime. I hope the baristas are paid VERY well to make sense of it. The carrot cake latte has chunkies in it like a bowl of cereal milk.

Location? Great. Coffee really good? The pastries variety and quality needs to improve to allow the place to earn its name (bakehouse). Just as an example, they dont have any croissants and it's quite disappointing. So instead I tried a muffin and a savory scone. Both could be much better.
I stop by Arcade often, and the coffee is decent, but the quality can be inconsistent depending on the barista. I don’t mind waiting in line, but sometimes there’s an extra delay when the cashier is chatting with customers after taking their orders. Overall it’s not a bad experience — I’d just appreciate more consistent drinks and quicker service.

⸻ When you pay $14 for a breakfast platter in a fashionable café, the very least you expect is excellence. Instead, it was terrible. The eggs were bland, the bacon wasn’t smoked as advertised, and the bread tasted like cheap supermarket toast that had been overdone. Even the overpriced orange juice wasn’t fresh. In total, I paid $23 and walked away feeling scammed. The food was awful, the service was just okay. Definitely not worth it.
This place is decent at best as well as other locations they have. Coffee is ok but overpriced. I don’t like how they always change their menus and take away some foods I actually like. Went the other day and ordered steak and chimichurri burrito and the price was $17. For that price I think they’d put a good amount of steak and egg in it but no barely any mostly hash brown and was dry.
Employees at the front are priggish and pretentious. They forgot an item in my order. They didnt like to be reminded they forgot an item in my order. Bagel is bad but to be fair, all bread products in all US establishments are bad. Coffee is better than starbucks, but thats not a high standard.
I dined in and got the breakfast plate, which was $15. Simple eggs bacon and toast. It took nearly twenty minutes to get my order. It sat on the counter like various orders before with no one calling it out. I felt like there was no follow up in service and the food was alright. I was looking forward to trying this place so I’m kinda disappointed.

!DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A MODERATE TO SEVERE ALLERGY TO NUTS! i heard so many good things about this place but sadly i had a very bad experience. i got the matcha cherry muffin and a small iced chai latte with oat milk (about $11). the matcha cherry muffin was weak and hardly had any cherries. the worst part was that i got an allergic reaction from the chai latte! i believe that my drink had almond milk instead of oat milk because i was confused why i could not taste the distinct oat milk flavor. at the first sip, i immediately felt tingling in my mouth and closing in my throat. had to drive back home (1 hour) with an upset stomach and a tingling mouth. the worst allergic reaction I have had in 10 years! so disappointed! :( will not come back here again.
I usually like this place, but lately the service hasn’t been good at all. When I asked about something missing from my order, they looked at me like I did something wrong. My coffee was also really bitter, almost burned, and when I mentioned it the lady still wanted to charge me for a new one. I’ve been coming here 2–3 times a week since I moved to Riverside, but after this experience I’m not sure I’ll be back. Hope the owner sees this and makes things better.
I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but the lack of inclusivity here is hard to ignore. As a person of color, I’ve repeatedly noticed white customers being warmly greeted and engaged while darker-skinned patrons are overlooked. Conversations feel forced or nonexistent unless you’re white, and the staff lacks visible diversity, there’s no one darker than milk chocolate. If this shop promotes inclusive or symbolic imagery, even fictional ones like “God” or arcade-style themes meant to represent everyone, then that inclusivity needs to exist in real life too. A welcoming space should actually welcome all people, not just some. Great coffee doesn't lack diversity
Please note the management chose not to address my review. The service at this location stands out as the least friendly of the locations I've visited. For some reason, my order wasn't bagged, although I saw other orders packed and handed politely with a smile. When I asked for a bag for my order, she threw the bag at me onto the counter and walked away with the most disregard. Too often I leave feeling the staff, sully the atmosphere rather than enhance it and so I always get my orders to go but this was the final straw. So many great coffee shops to discover! I encourage the management to do better hiring and training staff. If they can't treat ALL customers well, they need to go. This could be one of my favorite coffee shops but for the attitudes of most of the staff. And because management didn't respond I'm actually lowering their rating and removing this location as an option going forward.
