Amazing food that provides an excellent umami palate. Latte with oat milk was perfect... very well done. Intimate setting has been setup very well. Although I would suggest sound panels and making a few passes with the duster. Overall though, food and environment, I happily give them five-stars. Can’t wait to make another trip to try the dinner menu. I’ll be becoming regular customer. If you’ve never been, it’s worth the trip.

The setting is classy and cozy. Upscale without being snobbish and a dining room with a view of the kitchen is a confident choice that I appreciate. Huge selection of wines. The coffee bar is a feature and not an afterthought with excellent recipes and ingredients. The food is the same. Fresh in both concept and ingredients the food is a refreshing surprise and I'll leave it at that. Worth the time to sit down and enjoy discovering the craftsmanship of the chef. And perhaps I was just lucky but the service was perfect. Brian had a spot on suggestion for just the right wine and described each dish from the soup to the billionaire's bar dessert so well that I could barely let him finish before I ordered it. Excellent first experience that I hope is consistent because I will definitely be frequenting Feast in the future.

Feast is so incredible. The chef is so freaking amazing. The food is always perfect; the texture combinations, flavor profiles and presentation are always perfect. I love being able to pick out your own bottle of wine too! There are sections for each varietal of wine with description tags for each to help you decide! I haven’t had a bottle I don’t love. The service is impeccable and the ambience is so cozy yet somehow rich. The two walls of wine give it that old/refined feel. Absolutely love it. Also, they always have delicious baked goods and treats in their display. Again, I haven’t had anything I don’t love!

We visited Feast Market & Cellar for the first time for brunch today and we had a great experience and great food. Our waitress was kind and accommodating (we have a toddler who is a busy body and she was very sweet when interacting with our family.) She gave us excellent recommendations for both drinks and brunch items. We ended up ordering the crepe appetizer plate, the classic Benedict, and the steak and egg dish. The crepes were mind blowing, so I highly recommend those. The Benedict was a delightful approach to a breakfast classic, with hints of lemon, saffron, and pomegranate. The food presentation was absolutely gorgeous. I also tried some of my husband’s steak and eggs and the streak was tender and flavorful, which is not something that can often be claimed for brunch dishes with steak and eggs. All in all a really great experience. We’ll return for our special occasion brunches!

Came here for their Sunday brunch. We ordered Feast Bakery board, Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast Sammy, and coffee. Overall, the food was tasty, and the service was great. I could see a difference between here and other brunch places in downtown Bloomington. One thing that could be improved was roasted potato. It was dry and flavorless. We noticed that almost all the other people sitting at nearby tables didn't finish their potatoes. Anyways, we would like to try their lunch and wine next time!

Very good food! The girls that waited on us were very knowledgeable and kind and happy. I highly recommend this place for a get away with your spouse or maybe a small family. The food and wine are worth your time.

2018 Update: I returned to Feast once again for a special occasion dinner and AGAIN had an out of the world dining experience. Definitely make reservations - we did and were seated promptly. Service was great as well and I have no complaints on that front. My partner and I got the ribeye and the scallops - which were both great. We picked out a bottle of very delicious and affordable wine, which was a great touch for the meal. Overall, Feast continues to not disappoint and I will be back for the next special occassion! Amazing dining experience from our appetizer (bread board - very shareable), entrees (short ribs OMG), to our dessert - beautiful tiramisu. A bit priceier than the average dining experience but the quality of food and service makes up for it. Not to mention its a local business which is supporting other local businesses. Well worth it. Only tip - Make reservations!! It's a small place and they fill up fast.

Easily the best tasting food in central Indiana. Everything from starters to coffee to the bakery was amazing. The carnitas hash is some of the best tasting food I’ve eaten in the lower 48 states. If you’re in Bloomington and are looking for a nice brunch date just go here.

One of the best restaurants in Bloomington. I ordered the steak tacos which were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. My friend got the shrimp pasta which they said was very good. We shared the lemon buttercream cake and some margaritas, which were well made and very tasty. The inside is very intimate. It's a great place for a date. Our server was Elizabeth, who is top-notch. We will return! I wish I had taken more photos.

I have dined at Feast many times over the years, and have always found it to be a quality experience. This time was no different. I went for a quick solo lunch and glass of wine and everything was top notch as usual.

I used to work at Feast and only have the highest opinions of it. Everything is prepared perfectly and served beautifully. Brunch, lunch and dinner are all equally good! Highly recommend!!

This place has an amazing atmosphere, cute patio, nice servers and great food. The bread board we had was amazing, and all of the dinner entrees were fabulous. Their wine selection is huge.

Feast was incredible! The tamale that I had was delicious and the presentation was perfect. The drink menu was full of great options for everyone at the table, and I loved the deserts. The staff was friendly, and the building was a gem. As soon as I walked in, you could tell they had spent a ton of time and energy creating the environment. I will certainly be coming back to this wonderful place.

Their brunch’s menu for this summer is awesome. It’s a good idea to make a reservation of outdoor seating before going to the restaurant. They won’t assign two adjacent tables for two groups, so it feels much comfortable if you want to dine in.

If you have yet to try this restaurant, stop what you are doing and get there lol. Although the restaurant was at the mercy of “Storm Landon”, we were still provided excellent service and food. The restaurant had a vibe of an ambience. If I had to say one not so good thing about this restaurant is that the space is really small. Our party tried the Bottomless Mimosas; we recommend Peach Mango and Pomegranate. We also tried the Nutella Crepe Board; OMG amazing, yes, that’s the description. We also tried the, Crab Bennie, Country Fried Pork Chop (this wasn’t cooked to one of the member’s of our party liking, but please try it if you like pork chops), Eggs Your Way, and Shrimp & Grits. Let me just say, everything was good; 10 out of 10 recommend. That’s it, that’s the review.

Feast Market & Cellar has a great atmosphere and its deco with plants and the cellar makes this place cozy and welcoming. I’ve just gone for breakfast there and I have to say, this is a must in Bloom. For sure it’s too 3. Most of the plates I have tried are delicious and the menu of drinks consist of a variety of hot and cold options and alcohol (free) making it suitable for any public.

Overall a good experience. Food was delicious, we ordered both of the tamales of the day and the mushroom etouffee. The food came out quick and our server was kind and attentive. We were a bit worried since our visit started out rocky when the manager came to our table and told us no outside drinks were allowed (iced teas in unmarked plastic cups) after we had checked in at the counter without issues. We obliged and took the drinks out to the car. But it did make for an awkward first 5 min in a place we had never been to. We will come back if in the area again.

The food i got was delicious...it is a small place but cozy and good vibes. I would say it feels a bit up class. There is a lot of wine to select from. This place is not big for large groups.

I had dinner with a friend. The atmosphere, food and service were great. My friend is a regular there. It was nice to see them acknowledge that. I'd never been there before but I felt welcome. The Pepita salad was salmon was excellent. I look forward to next time.

This was the best steak I’ve ever had in my entire life!! Service was phenomenal with a super nice waiter who very kindly explained the menu. The sides were amazing as well, we got seasoned potatoes and glazed carrots! The table ordered truffles, tiramisu, and the s’mores bar for dessert. All three were absolutely delicious!! Very highly recommend!

Very cute spot for brunch. The food was excellent. Our only complaint was it was very loud and hard to have a conversation inside. This is because it is so small inside. We will sit outside next time. We started with feast board that had variety of bakery items. All of them were good and the homemade butters were delicious. The Sammy was huge, I couldn't finish it all. Gotta try the coffee as they have some unique flavors.

C
Catherine Storm

The charcuterie board was phenomenal, absolutely amazing. Their plating is picture perfect for all menu items! A truly gorgeous meal. I have to give them a 8/10 for taste though as I was still expecting... More... flavor with the entrees and desserts were not spectacular although they were very pretty. My gnocchi was very oily, which is probably just a personal preference, so don't count them out for my opinion alone.

Amazing Dining Experience. Specially due to staff who's very knowledgeable and friendly. Wine selection is exceptional. Pork Mole was good. But not exceptional. Brussel Sprouts were exceptional. A must try. The Frenchman (Board) is great. The Cheese and the Marmalade was exceptional! Soup was a Chillie and it was nothing special. Good. Creme Brulee was okay. But it was a cheese cake. So bit disappointing. The vibe in the place and service is well worth the visit. It's bit crazy that a fine dining place offers different cash and card prices. (4% Surcharge) I can understand if this was a mom and pop shop!

Feast is a lovely space for dinner in Bloomington. Everyone working there had a smile on their face and were happy to assist with anything. We had the daily flatbread that came with chicken, cheese, crispy potatoes, and hot honey. It was excellent! The balance of flavors between Gorgonzola and the honey was perfect! I also had the pork mole dish which wasn’t my favorite. The Porkchop was cooked well and tasted delicious! Probably one of the best porkchops I’ve had in Bloomington. The extras threw me off a little bit, adding too many different textures into the equation. For dessert we had the key lime cheesecake which was excellent, I highly recommend. After dinner we also had a chai latte which was spicy and delicious. Overall a great experience with tasty food and good service! Be sure to make a reservation as the restaurant is small and fills up quickly!

I haven’t been here in years (2015 for a birthday). This place is still so cute with a fun menu. I loved my peptia salad, so light and fresh. I got the Reuben which was also very delicious and filling. All of their pastries are delicious (macaroons, roulade cake, fruit tart, coffee cake, etc.). They have a parking lot so finding a spot isn’t too difficult. Service was a bit slow/scattered but overall good experience.

I know I shouldn't be picky, but what was a generally good experience here was tainted by slow service. This is definitely not the place for you to take a lunch break. Barely enough time for an hour after long waits for server, food and check. The place is really neat though. I like the decor and the ambiance. The tamale and the brisket we had were bland. I wished salt were available but maybe that's insulting. The cook was good about doing a gluten free sandwich for my wife which we liked. In all, not bad but could be better.

It was fun and the fact that they themed there dinner menu for the day was fantastic idea. The wait staff was so friendly. Spent just about 2 hours there and it felt like 2 minutes. Go have some drinks eat a sweet treat.

Had the Lamb Flatbread for lunch. Then finished with dessert, blueberry lemon cake. It was very good. Place is pricey but food is good. Lamb Flatbread was the sole entree, no sides but just enough not to need a side. The cake had actual blueberries on top with garnish and gold leaf on the berries. Great presentation. Too bad I didn't get a pic of the flatbread.

We love Feast and have been coming here for years! The food and atmosphere is amazing! Staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. The only reason for stars is we had a weird experience tonight that seemed off. We were their first customers. We started as a party of three but three more people decided to join us while the restaurant was still empty. When we asked if three more people could join us, the waitress became extremely upset, asked if we were serious and slammed a water glass on the table. We felt terrible for upsetting her by adding people, but her reaction seemed extremely aggressive and if it wasn’t possible, we would have totally understood. The other waiter wound up taking our table and was extremely kind and made amazing coffee! The waitress continued to shoot hostile looks at us and we considered just leaving because we did not mean to upset her by asking for 3 more chairs. It was weird! So unexpected as we’ve usually had wonderful experiences at this restaurant,

I am giving Feast 3 stars because I want to like it so so bad. Let's get the bad out of the way. The service is weird. Super attentive and knowledgeable when you arrive and then like a ghost, gone! For like 40 minutes. It's a small place, it's not like there were lots of other tables being served. Also, the soup came out quickly. But we ordered a hummus plate and the charcuterie plate. It took forever. Just slap some meat on a board and give it to me! And the worst part is that we ended up with the cheese plate instead. I was too afraid to send it back because I was so hungry. So we are hummus and cheese that took 30 minutes to hit the table. It was delicious. I devoured it. The soup had depth and flavor and was still so light. The pita bread was perfect and soaked everything up nicely. See, I want to like feast so bad. Poor execution though.

Super cool place, excellent food. Minus a star for very slow service. Waiter disappeared and brunch took 45 mins to arrive. That, and it was very pricey. I'll give it another try to see if we had a unique service problem.

Sadly this place went downhill with new ownership and chef. It used to be a 5/5 restaurant. The food is good in concept, not good in reality. Under seasoned and not cooked well. They used to have an amazing pastry chef with key lime pie as a crowd favorite. Our only option this time was a $60 chocolate cake that left much to be desired. Sad to see a good thing go bad. We traveled hours to Bloomington many times for different events and loved going here to eat. 😢 The wine selection is still great though!

Had a reservation on 3/14 for dinner for two. The restaurant was maybe half full. Waited about 45min for a warmed brie appetizer that came out lukewarm and brown. The "fruit spread" was cold jelly/preserves put on top, and came out with 3 small bread chips. Our white wine was served warm and only after the owner stopped by did anyone offer to chill it. The saving grace was the shrimp pasta that was actually good although you could tell the shrimp was not fresh but probably frozen and just warmed up, no grilling. Would go again if prices were more aligned with the quality served, aka lower.

It used to be my favorite place for brunch. The place was nearly empty. The menu looked similar to before, and the food we ordered looked similar too—but it didn’t taste quite the same. The quality of the ingredients had gone down significantly, and it showed. Definitely not worth the $50 we spent on two small breakfast plates and two drip coffees. Very disappointed and sad that another good spot has gone meh 🫤.

I've mostly gone to Feast to get take-away desserts to share with friends or at dinner parties. They were always consistent and of high quality. This last time it was clear something had changed. Desserts used to be put in a nice box lined with paper -- it felt fancy. Now, the desserts are all wrapped in plastic and our server (the owner, I think?) put them in a paperboard clamshell, the kind you would put your leftovers in. One of the cookies was very underbaked - soft and doughy in the center. I had to re-bake it at home. All in all, it feels like the place is slipping.

My partner and I went here for Valentine’s Day and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We made our reservation a couple of weeks in advance, but two days before Valentine’s Day, we received a random call asking us to move our reservation to a later time. Not a great start. We arrived on time for the Valentine’s Day special: a $60 per person three-course menu (appetizer, main, dessert). From there, things only went downhill. We waited about an hour for our appetizers and nearly two hours for our main courses. The entire restaurant was visibly frustrated, with multiple tables waiting for a long time with no food. It got so late that we ended up asking them to box our dessert to go. The food unfortunately did not justify the wait. I ordered the charcuterie board, which was extremely underwhelming with very limited cheese and meat selection, sparse presentation, and dry bread. My partner’s beef ravioli appetizer was just average. For the main course, the dishes lacked flavor and the broccoli was overcooked and everything was drenched in butter to the point that butter was the only dominant taste. The desserts looked pretty, but the tarte had a very thin filling, but the fruit was pretty fresh. The red velvet cupcake tasted mostly like cream cheese frosting on top of a dry cake. We also ordered a red wine that, according to the bottle, was meant to be served chilled, yet it was brought out at room temperature. For a restaurant that markets itself as having quality wine, proper storage and serving temperature should be basic. The only bright spot of the evening was the waitstaff. They were kind, apologetic, and attentive, constantly refilling water and checking in on us even though it was only two of them covering the entire restaurant. I think they did their best in what seem like a poorly managed situation. Overall, this experience felt like a waste of time and money, especially for a special occasion. I would not return.

Short staff, and I don’t mean in terms of stature. Obviously did not like their job. Food sub par. Highly disappointed. Picked up a charcuterie to enjoy at home with wine and friends. Quite embarrassed to even share with them. I would have been better off with a couple lunchables. 🥴

This was a complete disaster from start to finish. My friend and I came in for breakfast and left without eating—hungry, frustrated, and honestly shocked by how bad things have gotten. The menu is absurd now. It’s been stripped down to the most basic, unimaginative options—“eggs your way,” a BLT—stuff you’d throw together half-asleep in your own kitchen. No creativity, no effort. We sat for nearly an hour before we were finally told the chef hadn’t shown up. We had to leave without food. Even the water tasted wrong—like there was cleaning product in the glass. That alone should’ve been a red flag. The only person holding anything together was the waitress. She was professional, kind, and clearly doing her best in an impossible situation. She deserves better than this place. This wasn’t a rough morning. It was a complete failure. Do not go there!!!

I just went for brunch and the whole experience was disappointing. We got there when the restaurant opened, but the chef wasn’t even there yet. Our lovely server got us coffees and kept us updated about the whole situation. 30 minutes after ordering, the server let us know the chef still wasn’t there. She even tried to make us our sandwiches (which was sweet), but ultimately decided we would have a better dining experience going elsewhere. I’m also gluten free and there weren’t many options for me. We will not be going back.

What a shame. This restaurant is not even close to what it used to be. And to be clear, I'm not looking for the same. But everything was disappointing. The waitress couldn't help find a simple bottle of wine after multiple conversations and sending us to the walll to pick something out. Then nothing was chilled. She then placed our chilled wine on the table to get warm. The menu was extremely limited and the food we ordered was not great. One of the few menu items they had was a hamburger, but they were out of buns so they served it on Sourdough. The desserts were also not great. We will not be returning.

Amy Arthur

This place is really gone downhill, I always order the tamale plate only to learn they no longer have tamales, which was one of reason I ever even went there in the first place because they had the best tamales in the world. and I also love the pepita salad which I ended up just ordering a full one which should come with two small containers of dressing not one, but one is all I got. I took it home and had to make my own dressing. Also Parts of the lettuce was welted. And they shouldn’t call it a pepita salad when it only had about six pepitas in the whole salad. I think I paid like $15 for the salad very disappointing. I guarantee you most of these reviews are from years ago when they were a decent place to eat.

We used to love going to Feast, but all of the positive reviews are from mid-2024 or earlier! Now in January 2025, 4 of us went for Brunch. The wait staff was nice enough, but they were very slow. Even with only 4 at our table, my gravy was already skinned over by the time it was brought out. The recipe was also changed from when I went just one week prior, although the menu was the same (!), and the new version was not that great. They used to just come around and refill coffee from a carafe, especially for Brunch, but when I asked for a refill, they had to take my cup back to the kitchen to refill, and it was still only luke-warm, not hot. They do not have any of the previous deserts, pastries, and cakes, which were so wonderful. I miss what Feast used to be. Overall it was a sub-par experience, and DEFINITELY NOT worth a $100 brunch for 4 people.

My family went in to have dessert and a drink around 6:30pm 2-14-26 an employee asked if we had reservations and we said no and informed by employee you needed reservations. My wife said ok we will buy a few desserts to go and the employee said the desserts were for valentines dinners only and we couldn't purchase? I might add only one table had a couple people and a couple more people were standing talking. During Christmas we came in for dessert employee were very nice but only desserts in the case was a couple pieces of cake and maybe one or two other desserts and the employee said because of school break was the reason for lack of desserts? I might add it was early evening we did stay and had what was available.

Weird, canceled my friends reservation on Valentines Day because they are “understaffed “. Maybe prepare better for a day where you expect a lot of people on dates. Rookie mistake, do better. Also would help if you give them a nice call to let them know how sorry you are, but clearly you werent.

A

The new owner have absolutely killed this restaurant. He is rude, unprofessional and completely unqualified to run a people service business. My whole family went to have brunch and the food took 1+ hour to come, the manager was unnecessarily aggressive when asked politely about the delay, confronted all in the most disrespectful way. The food has become bland, and they don't have enough staff, and the only poor waiter tending the tables have to bear all the stress the new owner creates. Very sad, but we will never give our business again to this place. Beware!!

J
Jon Key

I'm willing to update this review, given my next experience is different. Made a reservation, drove over 30min to the location and, despite being during open hours the open sign being illuminated, the front door is closed and locked. Frustrated, I was left to knock to attempt to gain entry. Felt like the person heard me knock and chose to ignore me (pretty much confirmed later), so I knock again. The person was friendly enough and assured us we could have a sweat, but was unfortunately unable to make us feel welcome, rambling something about an event or something, then called on the phone asking if he could serve us. My wife and I made the decision to leave and he made it to our table with a menu, just a little late. I've worked in for service on and off my entire life so I'm compassionate. I also expect good service because of this, because I know it just takes actually caring about people and caring about what you do.

K

Showed up at 2pm on a Tuesday to get a pastry since they’ve been good in the past. Doors were locked and no workers in sight despite lights being on and hours posted on the door saying they were open. Went again the next day at 6pm to the same thing. Not sure if they’re temporarily closed or what, but good luck even getting in!

Who cancels a valentines day reservation without calling the person who made the reservation? Why have an available slot for dinner and allow a reservation to be made, but its not an available time? So many questions I don't think we will ever try again.

J
Juswin Judge

Cancelled my Valentine’s reservation I had booked two weeks before on the day of. Didn’t even give me a phone call just got an email. When I called them the man who answered was completely disrespectful. Never go here.
