Fantastic!!! Great food, great service, over all, just great!!! Our son bought us a hundred dollar gift card to try this restaurant, so we did for our 49th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time, tried many seafood dishes, shrimp, scallops and lobster loved them all!!! Their steamed potatoes and corn on the cob was also cooked to perfection! Such a nice place, so glad our son came across it and thought of us!

10000000000 out of 10 would recommend this place. Depending what u get it can be pricey but it's so worth it. We drove almost two hours to try this place and will be doing it again. Our waitress was great. Restaurant is super cute. And food is top notch. We are now obsessed with their seafood boils. It was my birthday present to myself to go here.

My son and I went in this afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was an awesome experience. All the servers, hosts and even the owner come past the table either greeting you or smiling at you. We were there in time for the happy hour menu and enjoyed all the food we ordered! Our server was Lainey but she rallied up the other staff for my son’s birthday song! Austin, Kayla G and Renae were amazing at making my kiddo feel special! It was unlike anything other restaurant I have been to. From the tablecloth you can draw on, to the bucket they give you with silverware, bins, gloves and napkins. All in case you get messy from their seafood boils! I will 100% be going back and telling everyone I know about this place!

We had an incredible experience at Hook & Reel Shelby Township, and I have to give a special shout out to our amazing server, Kayla S. From the moment we were seated, she was kind, informative, and extremely accommodating, especially to my autistic brother Jacob. Her patience, warmth, and genuine effort to make him feel comfortable didn’t go unnoticed. It meant so much to our family. The food was fantastic as always. We ordered the Surf’s Up boil, and it was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The drinks were good too, a bit strong, but still enjoyable. Kayla truly made our visit memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you again for such a great dining experience.

Came here on Wednesday for my birthday. This was my second time eating here and both times the service and food has been nothing short of amazing. Renée was our server and she is so incredibly friendly and very personable. She even sang happy birthday to me! 10/10 recommend!

Walked in with good impressions and was not disappointed! Was quickly sat and ready to order. The menu is very understandable yet very unique. The table is perfect for kids since it has a cover that children can draw on. This restaurant also has options for adults like shots. The waitress and manager were very attentive witch I very much appreciate. The food was very VERY delicious and honestly, I haven't had better lobster in my life. This restaurant is somewhere you don't often see in Michigan and is all fresh. (I recommend Renne for service) Highly recommended.

The service was excellent. I was greeted at the door snd my waitress, Seven was amazing. The timing of her bringing out the food was perfection. The food was pretty tasty and the portion sizes were fulfilling. I ordered the steamed oysters and a boil. The only item I didn’t enjoy was the corn, it wasn’t cooked enough for me.

Went for a birthday party and they were able to accommodate our large group. If you like a seafood boil then you will love this place. Many different variations to choose from. I'm not big on seafood boils so I opted for some fried catfish which was very good. I also ordered the hard boiled eggs I wanted to see what the hype was about. And those were very good as well. Everyone in my group seem to like their food. They all had ordered the boils. One person said it could be a little bit more seasoned. The bill came everyone was in agreeance it was a little pricey. But I will say we all left with to go food so you do get more than enough. Service was good and we were seated promptly. I would say check it out for yourself if you're in the area.

I normally come to this location because I love how fresh the food taste. I’ve only sat inside to eat once and I enjoyed my experience. I placed a to go order on 2/27/26 for a Crack & Peel bag with added sausage and eggs. I also ordered a side of hush puppies. I live at least 45 minutes away so when I realized my order was missing the eggs that I paid for and the shrimp and crab was very mushy, I was a bit disappointed. The seafood didn’t even seem safe to eat so I ended up just throwing it away. I contacted customer service through the ordering app but I haven’t received a response as of yet.

2 people. Both of us got the $49.95 all you can eat deal. We were warned by the server that we had an hour and a half to eat the "All you can eat". We joked with her at that time...."well it doesnt take 40 minutes to bring more crab legs does it?" We all laughed. The server said "no, of course not" The crab legs are very small. Well, it does take 30 min to get more crab legs. The waitress and manager seem to dodge you and avoid eye contact on purpose. We finally cancelled our 3rd order of crab legs after waiting over 35 minutes and we asked for the check. We were there for over 2 hours and only got 1 refill on crab legs and beverages. They only give you 2 clusters at a time as well. Not worth it. A scam and terrible service. Oh, and they add the gratuity to the bill so the waitress is not worried about avoiding you at all.

My fiancé and I have always cherished our visits to this restaurant, as it has been a special place for us to enjoy meals together. However, our recent experiences have been quite disappointing. The last few times we've dined there, the food has consistently been overcooked, which is not what we had come to expect. Additionally, the service has not been up to par; our waiter seemed indifferent and took an excessively long time to bring us our check, making us feel neglected and unimportant. What truly stood out during our visit was the waiter's choice of language. Coming to our table and using profanity is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful, especially considering our Christian values. We believe that every guest deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, and starting a conversation with cursing feels like a poor way to welcome anyone into a dining experience. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and made us feel unwelcome right from the start. Unfortunately, this was not our first encounter with this particular server, and it seems to be a pattern that is negatively affecting our overall experience. We left feeling disheartened and disappointed, as this restaurant used to hold a special place in our hearts. We hope that by sharing our feedback, the management can address these issues and improve the dining experience for future customers, allowing them to enjoy the restaurant as we once did! Carleen shouldn’t be coming up to people using profanity, I felt like that was very disrespectful on her part.

I could give a zero star if I could. Went on a normal week day not busy at all I wanted to try the all you can eat. Where should I go start the service or the food. Renee was my waiter busy chatting with other customers and not even bringing my food to the table. Every time they bring me the food is so cold and smells. On top of that i didn’t add any additional tip she stole 5 dollars without my consent. A call the store they told me i will receive my 5$ with in 10 days it’s been over 20 days I haven’t received any my money. I will never come back again please stay away from this restaurant.

We ordered 2 large catches. We are regulars there and absolutely love the food and their generous quantity. When we got home, one of the large catch had an inch knot of human hair in the food, soaked in the sauce. It was nauseating. We called the store and then had to call back for the manager. The manager initially said it could be muscles hair and to text photos and a video. Then responded- no one in the kitchen has long hair but we will remake the food. I said we don’t want the food remade, we ordered dinner somewhere else. Not only it is completely unprofessional to passive aggressively throw the blame on me, it’s also completely disgusting that it’s not being acknowledged or handled. This is so unsanitary. Of course we do not want more food.

Normally, we enjoy eating here. We visit often and enjoy the flavors. The staff is hit or miss. They usually don't refill water enough or check on us through out the meal. We always ask for and pay for extra sauce because it's barely added to our broil. We also have to constantly correct the order when we dine in. Be prepared to flag your server down and maybe bring a water bottle from home since you'll be thirsty waiting. Tonight, we lost our minds and we got it to go. The person taking the order was whispering and disappearing from the phone while we ordered. We had them read it back. We asked for it in 1 tray and they brought it out in 2 bags. Thanks for paying attention. We ordered the spicy special hook and reel sauce. Instead, we got red oil/margarine sauce. Tons of it. It didn't get solid after dinner so we know it's def not butter. We were at home with the meal so we tried heating it again and feverishly stiring the container to maybe mix the sauce. You can't mix in a half gallon of oil and expect the meal to be edible. We let the sauce settle in the cups. We were right. The real stuff was 1/3 @ the bottom. I filled a 12 oz pop can and an 8 oz Pyrex bowl full of oil. So we paid for 4 extra sides of sauce that were mostly oil. Unreal. $120 dollars for oil/grease with a side of dry food. We are waiting to see what happens to our digestion and acid reflux since we tried to eat it.
