The grilled catfish is amazing!! Hubs had the meatloaf it was awesome too! Lauren was very friendly and helpful, definitely an asset to your team.

Some of the best service and food I have gotten! The staff was great! The 8oz sirloin was cooked and flavored to perfection, and the fried okra (along with everything else) was still hot when our food was brought to us. I am exceptionally happy with what Shumardii's is turning into!

The fries were cooked to perfection as they were crispy outside and soft inside, and the classic burger was absolutely heavenly as it was well cooked, the bun was partially toasted on the bottom and the cheese was melted perfect 10/10 for the whole restaurant. Would go again

Wife had a BLT and I had a burger. Both were quite good. Server was very friendly and attentive. A bit surprised the music was very heavy metal. Not what I would have expected. All in all it was very good and we will visit any time we are in Bonham.

Simply one of the best meals I have had in a while. We had chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken and both were excellent. The salad and rolls were spot on. Did I mention the sweet butter for the rolls.... Yummy. We followed up with hot apple pie and ice cream.... Outstanding meal and dessert.

My family and I were there today. Overall, I would recommend. Great to take your family. Wide variety of foods. Nice outside patio. My wife got a steak that was fantastic. Our waitress, not sure her name, (blonde girl) and what I assume to be the manager, were both friendly and helpful. Everything we had was really good. I personally got the brisket sandwich. That was not great. I think it was a skirt steak chopped up. But it can't all be perfect. Just my honest opinion. Otherwise, we will certainly stop in again when we pass through the area. That was our second time there. Good both times.

The Food was great. I had the porkchop dinner and my boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. Biggest chicken fried steak we’ve ever seen! And we’re from texas - Food tasted great too. Quickly becoming our new favorite. I’ve lived in Bonham for fourteen years and have been to Shumardii’s off and on. It has been under different ownership or management more often than most places. During each change the quality got worse and we eventually quit going. We decided to give it another try after the latest ownership change and it’s was more than a pleasant surprise. The food was really good and the service was much better. So we’ve tried it a few more times and I am happy to report that it was consistently good. My wife ordered a grilled chicken breast last night that was cooked thoroughly but still juicy and nicely seasoned. So far they are batting 1000 with the food. They also have a new staff and last night our waiter was David. He was one of the nicest, well mannered and genuinely friendly young men that I’ve met in a long time. If Shumardii’s keeps this level of service and top quality food going, we may have found our new favorite place.

My husband and I wanted a quick, simple, Lunch without that Fast Food Feel. So, we stopped in at Shumardii's .. It was hamburger special day... $9.95. With my husband being a Veteran they gave us another $1.00 off the Burgers. It was scrumptious and the Burger was Big with that Homemade taste to it... We will definitely be back for another Burger, soon!

My family and I were pleasantly surprised with our first ever visit to Shumardii's tonight. The atmosphere was nothing like we expected based on the outside. The inside is like a cozy pub with stained glass artwork above most if not all of the booths and wood everywhere. The service was good and the food portions were generous. Food was tasty as well. Some of the best ranch dressing I've ever had! They offered a kids menu which we found slightly overpriced, so our kids split an appetizer and it was plenty of food. The appetizers also all happened to be $2 off during our visit.

Just moved out here and googled a place for dinner. Completely mind blown! Best charred burger I've EVER had, perfectly paired with sweet potato waffle fries. My daughter had the 2 huge fillets of fried catfish and my husband had the chicken strips with gravy. We ended up having a mini buffet at our table bc everything was incredible. Service was amazing. This is definitely our new spot!

Finally made my way here. I drove by many times and saw they seemed to always have patrons. It was quiet with the old style steakhouse feel to it. High backed booth wood walls and a pressed tin ceiling. Ordered the baby back ribs. Asked for half rack but for $5 more you can get a full rack so went for it. The ribs were amazing! Perfect smoked charcoal flavor, great BBQ sauce and meat that fell right off the bone. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves ribs. Had a lot left over for another couple of meals.

Service was nice. The waitress we had was sweet. Her name was Amy. Very sweet young lady. Food was great made just the way I wanted. Would tell anyone who needs it go out to eat to go there.

The menu options here are fantastic! The portion sizes are quite big. If you are really hungry, this place is a good place to go. The food wasn't the most amazing thing in the world, but it was VERY good!!! I definitely will be back again! The service was great and very family friendly. There is also a nice bar area that seems to have a lot of good options, though I didn't get the chance to experience it. If you have not been here, you should go!! Ask for some ribs! They were GREAT!

The food was great and fast for it to be so busy on a Friday night. I had a loaded potato with broccoli and cheese on a bed of rice with a 12oz med well steak with sauteed mushrooms and onions. Only problem I had was with the servers not checking on me. But the manager was real nice to me when she seen I had been unattended to. She made my server pay for my desert of choice. I told her it was ok she insisted on it since I was not helped properly. But the host was polite and greater with a smile. But I enjoyed it with the music playing. I encourage you to try them.

We dined in for Valentines Day. When you enter, you notice all the stained glass and pressed metal ceilings. Has a New Orleans feel, with Texas hospitality. You also notice the help wanted sign! The menu was simple and the staff was very courteous and engaging. The prices were in line with other restaurants in the area. They have a variety of drinks. The whiskey sour was a bit sweet and the Cabernet was ok. I attribute this to a small town restaurant with a need for a bartender, as noted in their help wanted sign. The fried mushrooms came out hot and were quite tasty. They are not heavily seasoned, which I prefer for dipping. I ordered ribs and after 10 minutes I was told they’re out of ribs. Salads are fresh and cut for eating. I received my Catfish with two side. The lemon pepper on the corn was odd choice to me, but good. The loaded mashed potatoes looked good, but we’re not very flavorful. The catfish was overly salty, however it’s better with tartar or cocktail sauce. Overall, a country diner feel, complete with amazing staff.

I broke my own rule -- never order fish at a steak place. I ordered the Catfish, 2 pasta. Baked potato and a nice house dinner salad with homemade ranch dressing. The crispy Catfish came in two huge portions. I cut one in half and shared with the other guest. The pieces were as long as the plate and left barely room for a baked potato. Everyone loved the light breaded Catfish, it was done perfectly, light and flaky inside, with a little steam coming out as you cut into the huge fillet. The fresh yeast rolls were delicious. Service was a little slow but we had a table of 15 and it was a Friday night. We will be back, I want to try their chicken fried steak and gravy. I need to come hungry!

Though there was a hair in Matt's hamburger, our negative dining experience of 2/19/21 was entirely the fault of my self entitled older sister, who Jesus Christ himself could not satisfy. Waitress and manager were far more professional with her than I would have been, while her eight ounce sirloin, far from being tough was done as a medium cooked steak should be. I ordered the 24oz sirloin, cooked medium rare, as Nature intended, and it cut like butter, and melted in my mouth. The french fries were perfectly crispy, seasoned just right, and not at all greasy or oily. My nephew's wife had the catfish, and the generous portions certainly looked scrumptious, while the sweet potato waffle fries were simply heaven. My sole complaint was the tea, which was almost watery, but, honestly, most restaurants don't do iced tea well, so I'll overlook that. I will definitely return to Schumardi's, hopefully next time with better b haves dinner companions. I appreciate the efforts of the management and wait staff, and apologize for the trouble we caused.

It's pretty much the only option for dine-in American food in town after 8 pm. That being said, we've come to realise that the food is actually pretty good. Just about anything you order is going to be big enough to take home a whole meal-sized portion. The chicken tenders are HUGE, and the salads are, too! My wife usually gets the hamburger steak and says it's quite good. Most of the appetizers we've had are pretty standard, I doubt they hand-make them. Still, they're tasty, so no complaints. Oddly, they never seem to be busy in the evenings, despite being a bar and grill. Don't judge it by the parking lot, though. Swing on in--there's probably going to be room for you!

Quaint family restaurant! We went later at night, so I'm sure they had already cut some staff, and therefore it took some time for service. We ordered chips and salsa and you could tell already everything is made from scratch there. We ordered the sausage plate (with mac&cheese and sweet potato fries) and the Shumardii's salad with grilled chicken... Oh my goodness!! The portions are huge and the food was DELICIOUS! We actually even ended up asking for an extra side of the mac and cheese and then boxed up half our entrees. Everything was scratch (no boxed stuff or microwaves here) and delicious!! We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

Overall our meal was good. My husband had their chicken fried steak, extra gravy. I had the chicken salad sandwich. Both of our meals were good, the fries were ok...but I'm a fry snob, so. Corey was our server she wonderful, friendly, chatted with us and gave us food recommendations. Actually had answers to every one of questions!! The restrooms were clean, but could use some upgrades as with the rest of the establishment, but nothing that would keep me from returning.

The Shumardii's salad with crispy chicken was good. It is a very large salad. Service was good. Price was right. I will be back.

Getting to the location is very easy and you can see it easily from the road. The food was good and was well prepared could use a little more work on food quality but overall it was a good place to take the family. Seating was good primarily booths but they do have tables. Servers were very attentive made sure to get to anything you needed fairly quickly. We were seated very quickly upon arrival they were moderately busy when we got there on a Friday night but it was also baseball game night. There is plenty of parking available and the parking layout is very easy to navigate. This restaurant is accessible friendly including the restrooms. Pricing is good for what is offered and we will definitely be back.

The atmosphere was good. The potatoe skins were great. The chicken fried steak need a little more seasoning for my taste. But overall it was good. We will go again when we're in Bonham.

The family and I dropped by here while in Bohnam on a softball tournament. We really had a wonderful time. They menu had something for everyone. You get big portions of food so be prepared to leave full. I must add our waitress was very nice and helpful. She made the experience enjoyable. I give it 4 stars because the alcoholic drinks , used awful tast I mg mixes.Probably off brand. Fix this and this place would receive my 5th 🌟

The food is always exceptional but service is iffy. Our waitress was absolutely off tonight. She was prompt to take our order and bring our drinks but after 30 or so minutes and others recieving their meals that came after us, I asked if their was an issue with our order, I order meatloaf, my husband chicken fried steak both meals with mash potatoes and green beans. The waitress got a serious attitude, she then brought our meals, nothing said about the wait. We had to ask for a sweet tea refill, twice. Never checked on our meals or asked if we were in need of anything. We thanked her for everything she brought us, nothing said from her. She checked on others but not us. She did say here's your check. I looked at the check and we were comped with 50% off our meals but never was told that or apologized for the wait. We are large tips, 50% or more. We all have bad days but don't take it out on someone else. Apologize and own up to your mistake. We wouldn't be back. We felt like we were asking to much to receive our meal and being punished for doing so. I'll miss the food.

Food was good. Wait staff was friendly, but could have been more attentive. Wife's tea glass went empty twice. My tea glass was refilled with sweet tea, when I had unsweet tea. Wife had to go get my tea corrected. While waiter received a tip, he did not receive as big of a percentage as he would have, if he had been more attentive. You received 3 stars for the food and cleanliness.

Nice location. Food was ok. Good atmosphere. Service a little slow. Prices not too bad. 10-20 $ plates. Good serving size. I had chicken fried steak. Fries and okra.. Was just OK, nothing special. I did not care for the battered/ frozen fries. I do not believe I would drive back to Bonham from Sherman to eat there. Better steak places in Sherman.

Expensive, food was good but visiting the restrooms brought what would have been a 4 rating down to a 3. Smelled horrible and one of the stalls was missing a door. Really dirty and each stall hadn't been flushed in a while. Hard to flush with the seat blocking the flusher.

The people are wonderful, friendly and easy to get along with. The food is top notch. My personal favorites are the ribeye steaks chopped sirloin ribs without the sauce (not a big fan of bbq sauce) and the chicken fried steaks. Although I have to give credits to the staff, they carry this place pretty well consider how the owners treat them. They are under paid, checks are shorted with pay cuts when the owners fill like it. The General manager gets paid less then entry level McDonald's employee and got a pay cut from $10/hr to $7.50/hr and she has done a badass job with the place. Kitchen manager who has been there for 16 years went from $16/hr to $12. I'm surprised these people have not walked out

Ordered drinks but half of them were not available. These were soft drinks, not hard liquor. Server did not know what all was out. Even the Tea was watered down. Food was okay. Rolls were excellent but were also on the sweet side. Server did the best he could not knowing what was not available.

Food is good. Management sucks. Definitely has a lot of potential. Unfortunately management seems to run off all the amazing staff they have had. FYI REQUEST ANYONE BUT MATT when you get there. Matt will make you never want to come back with his lack of service.

We arrived and waited and waited and waited for the hostess. I walked around trying to find her. I went to the bar and said we needed a table. The hostess finally showed up and said have you been here long, I replied about 10 minutes. She didn't seem to care, The food was amazing, but the wait killed the vibe.

We've been here a few times and it can be hit or miss. Some things are really good and others, not so much. Most of their sandwiches are awesome. Wings, not so much. The portions are pretty big, especially the Shumardii Salad! The kitchen is open late and it's one of the few open on Mondays. Edited, tonight I had the 14 Oz Ribeye and it was great! We really enjoyed the ribs last night!

My wife and I came in tonight for a hopeful special evening dinner. I ordered the fried shrimp and she had the fried catfish. Not as good as it should've been due to the fact the oil has not been changed out regularly as it should. (And yes we KNOW. We're food/product/customer service critics with over 10,000 followers-this is what we do) My wife had informed me that this restaurant was under new management. My advice, "change the oil in your fryer regularly and let's go from there." My wife and I were very nauseous 🤢 after eating here tonight. Definitely a concern for the Dept. Of Health! Do better!

I'm not going to leave bad reviews unless absolutely necessary. Whereas our dining experience was a little frustrating due to the long wait to get our food and appetizers. But this was understandable due to them being short staffed on waiters. At first when we received the queso it was burnt however our waiter was understanding of the situation and brought us out new queso. When our main courses drive to the table my frustration quickly turned into amazement. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was HUUGE, with double mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese...my wife decided on the 12 oz steak which look amazing as well. She did say the steak was a lil burnt at the bottom towards the end of her steak and the baked potato was not fully cooked in places but over all she enjoyed her plate as well. I will say this they have hands down the best chicken fried steak my taste buds gave ever experienced. I forgot our servers name but she was trying her very best with the given situation...along with help from another server name John. They both were very attentive and kept smiles on their faces regarding the adverse situation with being low on staff. I give them a 10 on their customer service skills....this restaurant is a 3.0 had it not been for low staffed and the wait they would definitely deserved at 5. We will be coming back and give them the well deserved chance to make the 5 rating that I see them having no problem achieving. And pictures best time time for sure!!!

Our service was pretty bad but our waitress was really sweet just very overwhelmed. Long waiting between drinks from the bar or our iced tea & our food took forever. She did try to make up for it with free deserts for all 4 of us. Our food was hot & fresh & deserts were great. My grilled salmon was good also. Will probably be back.

Well I came in there for the first time I went in there I was sitting there for a minute and nobody even approached me and said nothing looked around nobody helped so I left came back about a half an hour later I had ordered a to go order and ask for rolls they were harder than a rock my dog wouldn't even eat them they normally are good I'm pretty disappointed on that whole experience of in and out of being in there

Service was great!!!! Always request Mel for the best service. The food tasted great however the appearance was not so much. My club sandwich looked nothing like a club. Again it tasted great just looked crazy.

Got the chicken fried steak and it was like SHOE LEATHER! Good God that thing was horrible and had to chew for like 5 minutes before swallowing it, the sides were good, been here before and had the chicken fried steak before and it was the same way, shoe leather. I wanted to try it again to give them chance to see if things have changed, nope. So this was the last to come here.

No hostess, 2 servers in the entire restaurant, 2 cooks in the kitchen, never saw a manager once. The wait was awful, food mediocre and environment lacking "roadhouse" feel. Only getting 2 stars because our server really tried her best for what she was alloted, won't be returning if I can help it.

This review is not on the food but rather the staff and overall customer service. I went one night and got a cup of chili. The very next day I decided to go again and this time I got a bowl. I suspected it was the same amount in a larger bowl so I asked my server for an empty chili cup. It was literally 2 teaspoons difference. Charging more and calling it a bowl is a rip off to your customers. Twice I have gone in and had to tell the waitress what an item was supposed to be served with. One time I ordered nachos and it was brought with no guacamole. She just sat it down without saying anything so I pointed out the guacamole was missing. She said "Yeah we're out of avocados." as if it was perfectly acceptable to not they even mention that they were out of part of my order. Then another visit I ordered potato skins which are advertised as being served with salsa and sour cream. It came out with no salsa and again waitress didn't say anything. I called another waitress over to ask about getting my salsa and she acted absolutely confused. I told her that according to the menu salsa and sour cream cone with potato skins. She had to go look at a menu to see I was right. My waitress came by and apologized but said "I didn't know you wanted the salsa." So I had to say I wanted the salsa that is advertised on your menu as coming with the item? So if I order a bacon cheeseburger do I have to specify that I want the bacon? I'm sorry but I've been a waitress before and one of the first things I had to do was memorize the menu and know what came with each item on the menu. Whoever is training these people needs to do a much better job because they are not training very well at all.

It took a very long time for our table to get drinks - at least 20 minutes if not longer. The young man at the door was not very helpful in finding our party that had arrived earlier than we did. However, the food was great and the pricing reasonable! Our waitress did her very best at servicing us!

Dear server 1. Replace your cracked dishes 2. Look at the receipt before you give a bill for 4 people to a table of 2. 3. Change the meatloaf recipe. Take out the extra items, keep it simple.

Chicken fried steak was paper thin that it was over cooked and dry. Service started out wonderful but as it grew busier service went down. Waited 20 minutes for check. Will not be returning. So many things were taken off menu.

Decent meal but would expect a lot better quality of steak. Worn paper menus should have been a clue as to the quality. The waitress was awesome though. The staff was great but but the food made the $100+ bill not worth the meal.

The "Colossal Onion" appetizer, while delicious, was definitely smaller than expected and served with a spicy ranch. Beware if you want plain ranch. Two of the 4 of us ordered the 8 oz sirloin, both med rare and one was most assuredly very rare. Another of our party ordered chicken strips which are supposed to come w gravy and it didn't arrive at the table until we had asked twice and waited nearly 30 minutes. My custom burger was messy and perfect and the other steak was cooked correctly. The steak that was wrong was replaced but it took several minutes to get it delivered. Service was sub-par. The waitress kept running off & couldn't be found unless she was taking another order. The place was definitely not busy. I am going to think twice before returning.

Two hours after eating both my daughter and I were sick. Meal was 93.00 and change plus 15.00 tip. There was four in our party. None of us ate near all of our dinner. I've eaten there when the food and service was very good. I just think I probably won't eat there again. This is just what I feel.

I do not write this review with ill intentions. My family and I have been here MAYBE 3 times in the last 10 years; and there’s a reason. We had out of town company that wanted to do lunch before heading back home; and this is what was decided on. First issue we had was we were sat at a table that was near both the bathroom and the kitchen, and the smell coming from the bathroom drains was bad enough we actually asked to sit somewhere else. Raw sewage odor doesn’t bode well with food. Second, the tables were “clean” but they were sticky to the touch. They didn’t feel clean. I have no complaints about my plate of food, I thought it was very well done and tasted great. My husband struggled through his food. Our waitress was a very nice young lady, I don’t know if we were just seated out of her section Apart from her, bringing our food and taking our order, she was difficult to find. The food, once ordered, took a VERY long time to come out. We saw other Tables get seated after us and all got their food before us. When we got our check at the end; our waitress again disappeared, after a good 15 minutes and she never came back, I went and found her to pay our check. We came in just after noon for lunch and didn’t leave till almost 2 PM. We probably won’t be back. It’s just not worth the money to come here.

Waiter was polite and trying his best but hostess, seating was never told to him so by the time he knew we were there we had always waited 30 minutes…. After calling ahead for a table. Food was not cooked as ordered however server never returned to see how our food was so my family was finished eating before I was offered a remake…we had to leave without getting to eat with my family. Food that was served was bland and no better than a drive through option but twice the price. Bathrooms outdated with curtains not doors and no where to change a baby’s diaper.

The young girl taking my order seemed unknowledgeable and impersonable Doubles are definitely not doubles. Your bartender is stealing from you! The bacon was burnt. If it wasn't the meal would have been perfect. Fresh bread, fresh tomatoes and fries are great. But my double was definitely not!!! And the managers scared demeanor and my terrible drink shows who really running things around here. Just moved to Bonham and can honestly say I will not be returning

Atmosphere is always a warm welcome. Food on the other hand... Brisket is dry. "Jumbo" wings were not jumbo and they were preheated and flash fried. The wings were crunchy, not juicy. Could not eat them. I keep giving this place a try, but this was strike three for me as previous times the brisket was dry. and last time the cheesecake had freezer burn. Tortilla chips are always over cooked. Service is sub-par.

The food here is amazing. But there is major needs for improvement when it comes to service and the food coming out in a timely manner. The last two times my family has been in here it has taken 45 minutes to an hour for our food to come out and the restaurant was not busy. With no updates or communications from the servers. The servers got our order and seemed to disappear on both occasions. Our food finally came out this last time (all of it except 1 plate) and we were told it would be coming out soon. 20 minutes later it still wasn’t out. And this was after waiting 45 minutes for all the other dishes to come out. Spoke to a manager and they said they would compensate on the bill for it. $4.50 was taken off. That entire plate should have been taken off the bill. We love the food and would love to be regulars here. But we will not be back until they get kitchen times and service under control.

I wish I could give less stars but you can't, let's start with the waitress McKinsee she was rude and threw my card and receipt on the table, because I complained about being charged extra for cold loaded mashed potatoes. My meat was burnt and the mashed potatoes were ice cold. This place is overpriced and the food is low quality.

Oh my goodness. We (36 of us split into 12 bills) came in at 8 pm after a family night for a loved one. Due to our large group, we were give the large banquet room. We get inside and get situated and around 8:15 our journey had begun. Jackie and ONLY Jackie was our server. So she went to running. By around 8:45 she had given most of us our drinks and had started to bring the appetizers. She takes our orders and off she goes agaim running! At around 9:45 ( yep, over an hour later) one person from our party had gone to see what was that hold up and why NONE of us had gotten our food. The manager on duty was standing at the kiosk and had JUST THEN started to put our orders into the computer to be sent to the kitchen. He said he wanted to put it into the computer all as one order and had JUST THEN decided that this would be the best and fast way. 10:00 came and went and now they are closed. Not that it mattered because we were the one customers in the entire restaurant from the moment we arrived. (There was one other couple there when we arrived but they left before our entire party had arrived.) At around 10:10pm we finally started to see food come out to the individual tickets as we had order. Poor Jackie by this point had RAN herself ragged but was still hopping right along. Once she had brought out the first plate it did take a few minutes for her to get finished serving. BUT AGAIN, she was the ONLY ONE TAKING CARE OF ALL 36 OF US! Most of us had already ate so many crackers trying to "get by" until our food came, so when it did, we didn't take but just a few bites before we were full. At around 10:40 we all started asking for our tickets. @ 10:50 , a person form our group had gone to see what was going on. Jackie was standing there at the kiosk trying to get the MOD to help her figure out how to separate the tickets because HE was the one that had decided to put our food in as one HUGE order. The MOD refused to help her separate the order. Jackie was in tears!! Please keep in mind that we had gotten up to go walk around through out our wait, and had seen the MOD standing around playing on his phone while Jackie just kept on running. At around 11:00 half of our party was standing there waiting, cash/card in hand, but still we had no tickets. NOT EVEN ONE!!! When one person from our party had spoken to the MOD about how we had now been there 3 hours, he'd blamed the ENTIRE situation on Jackie. We explained to him that HE was the one at fault for giving such a huge crowd to only one server and then stand around leaned up on counters, playing on his phone. After some very hateful comments from the MOD, we requested the main manager be called to come help with this situation. After the MOD had spoken to the main manager, he gave the phone to one in our party and she explained what had happened. The main manager told them to give us 50 % off all our tickets. We finally got to pay and leave at 11:23pm. The MOD NEVER said sorry for any of the incident and continued to blame it on Jackie. We were literally the for over 3 hours. It was the craziest thing. And I will NEVER recommend y'all to a big party again. It's sad because y'all literally have a huge room just for large groups.

The service was okay but the food was horrible. Asked for a burger cooked medium and a steak cooked medium. The steak came out rare and the burger came out very well done. It took a very very long time to get our food. We told 3 different people and they all seemed confused on how to fix it or handle it. In the end we got a partial refund but I don't think we will be coming back here.

On the downside, the café was poorly staffed; 50 minutes for the food to arrive; one steak was NOT a rib-eye and could not be cut with a steak knife; women's restroom was very dirty and only one of the four stalls was usable. On the upside, the owner/manager was apologetic and pleasant; she offered a 50% veteran's discount to my companion; she took my dinner off completely because of the bad steak.

Me & my husband came to get lunch and when we got our food immediately you could tell the greens for the salad we're close to being tossed or should of been instead of served. My sausage had so much cheese on it I had to scrape it off. For the service we got and presentation we should of went to McDonald's. The price for the food for what we got was not worth it.

Absolutely terrible. Worst steak I've eaten, ever, by far. She sent her steak back and didn't order anything else because it was so bad. Beer had a funny taste and the salad wasn't very good. Service was poor. All around bad experience, definitely not what it used to be. Chose to come here over Texas Roadhouse, will never make that mistake again.

If I could give 0 starts a I would they got are whole Order wrong and food was soggy and stale Barley any food on the plates when we brought it up to them they didn’t seem to care they did not even give us our drinks and yes we did do take out

We’ve been dumb enough to try this place 3 times in the last year. If you like to wait 20 min for a drink and one hour for your food then this is the place for you. Cold rolls, never asked if we wanted another drink, steak was trash, the most goes on. We left without knowing who our waitress was.

Sat there over 5 mins waiting for our drink order. When the waitress finally got our drink order and brought our drinks she walked away without seeing if we was ready to order. Waited 15 mins for her to comeback but never did. Asked the manager for our bill for the drinks, (who was standing right behind our table talking with 2 other waitress) She apologized and didn't charge for the drinks. Sorry service especially when there was only one other table of people in there. Would not recommend them to anyone!!!

A very poor dining experience. The appetizer took about 30 minutes (chips and queso) and we discovered halfway through there was a long brown hair in the cheese. Long enough to floss. Another 30 minutes went by before we got our food, which was mysteriously flavored and textured. I never knew meat could taste like that. We would have told our waiter, but he never came back. The wait staff seemed too busy talking to each other to attend to the three tables on our side of the restaurant.

I’ve never written a bad restaurant review before this one. I think today’s ribeye was the worst steak I’ve ever had. It tasted like lighter fluid. Just really nasty. All of the employees I encountered were pleasant and prompt.

Don’t waste your time. Poorly run. Dirty. Over cooked food. Clueless girl at the front was on her phone the entire time. Poor service, in fact no service. No drink refills, forgotten food. You’d have to be DESPERATE to eat here.

First off my order, i ordered the smoked brisket plate and potato soup. 20 ish minutes later they tell me that they don’t have any potato soup and that it’s a very long wait. whatever, i’ll take it off my order. a while later my plate showed up and my order was messed, with one of my sides wrong. fine, i tell them and i get it for free. on the plate i got what i thought was 3 solid chunks of brisket, however after going through 2 of the chunks, i realize that the 3rd chunk was literally just fat, like zero actual meat on it, no exaggeration. the servers themselves seemed incredibly untrained. they took off the plate from the order but still, it was an incredible waste of my time and the food wasn't even that great.

Me and 7other people arrived at 1pm today Oct 26, 2024. As the sign showed please wait to be seated so we waited. We rang the bell that was on the hostess stand after having already waited a few minutes. Ten minutes later we exited the establishment having not once seem an employee. So instead of spending our money at Shumardii's we went down the road and gave it to The Rockyard who greeted is almost instantly upon entering. Do better Shumardii's staff. Do better.

Steak was ordered a medium rare and came out well done. Overly dry and too charred. Burger was the same way. Grill was too hot. Waitress was great and atmosphere was very warm and friendly.

It's very much a backwater dive. No proper staff training. Faulty soda machines. The servers auction dishes, which is a big service industry no-no. All the booths cushions are so old and worn that they've cracked through and are nasty. Servers can't hear orders properly, nor do they read them back. We ordered 2 dishes. 1 was wrong, and the other wasn't even ordered by the server. My grandfather ordered a nice steak. He was brought a potato instead. She claimed she couldn't hear us... well, ask us to repeat it or repeat the order back yourself. This is basic server 101. This place gets worse each time we return, so maybe we should stop being oblivious and take the hint: They aren't going to improve, only continue their steady degradation. This evening's dinner wasn't the first ruined by this establishment. Save yourself time, money, and frustration and try Muddbones... or Sonic, or anywhere else where there's a modicum of professionalism. This place needs an overhaul of epic proportions both in the structure of ownership/management and the building itself.
