In my opinion, this is the best pizza in the area. This is a bar/restaurant serving pizza, burgers and other typical bar type foods. Pizzas come in two sizes, personal and regular. The regular size is probably about 16 inches. The cheesy bread sticks are a great appetizer and my family's favorite. The pizza is cooked in one of those big Italian pizza ovens. There is a full service bar. TV's on the wall were all tuned to cowboys riding bulls and broncos. Good atmosphere, a little noisy at times but not too bad.
We ate here for the first time today and were all very impressed! Riley was our server and she did a great job. They had a variety of options on the menu depending on your mood. Everyone enjoyed what they got and the portions are huge. Enough for a second meal. We will definitely be back.
The Rock Yard rocked our tastebuds! Great service by Lucas as well. I had the Cuban and wifey had some giant chicken salad. I’m not into that kind of lettuce crap. But she loved it. If we are in the area again will be back!
I rarely leave reviews, but I had to after this experience. The atmosphere was great—this has become a regular spot for us—but the highlight was our server, Dylan (hope I’m spelling that right). He truly made the experience with great conversation, perfect timing, and overall outstanding service.
Ate Sunday night around 6 pm. They were hosting an annual fund raiser for seven local elementary schools. Great restaurant simply for that reason. Anyway, this was my second time here. I really like the place. Service was quick! Place was busy but kitchen was humming. The Patty Melt was good. The bread was over whelming but taste made up for it. Wife ate the sliders. Really good. Cheese curds for an appetizer - super good also. They give you a ton. Nice full bar with plenty of taps and adult choices. Bill was around $50 for two. No adult beverages.
Fantastic place to come for a drink or a delightful meal! The menu has a wide variety, it is hard to select what you want. Be sure to check their FB page for .50 cents bone in wings, with so many sauces to choose from! You don't have to have just one sauce, pick a couple. Service is wonderful with a very friendly staff. I highly recommend dining here.
Our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat. The entire experience was wonderful, from the delicious food to the attentive service to the charming ambiance. Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll love this place! The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes, and we loved everything we tried. Some memorable items we tried were the Queso, pizza, cheesy bread, cauliflower pizza, chicken tenders, grandma's deviled eggs, and texas cheese steak. I've include photos so you can see how tasty it all looked. Bobby and Tyler were so friendly and welcoming. They truly treated us like family and made us feel like VIP's. 😄 I want to thank Lexie our server for going above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. Her genuine hospitality and impeccable service made all the difference. Another unique thing to note is they have live music on the weekends. We also got a chance to look around the venue and the attention to detail the owners put into the place is amazing. There is a gorgeous painting on the wall done by a spray paint artist that will blow you away. There is a stage outside for live bands and events. They also offer a unique private room called "The Scale House" which was built on a set of truck scales that have been kept in the family for generations, exemplifying the thoughtful creativeness that went into everything they built. There is a reason for each design detail and it is noticeable. The space can accommodate any event from casual to upscale, small to large. The bottomline is you need to go to The Rock Yard Kitchen & Bar as soon as possible. I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back. Thanks again for a fabulous experience 🙏🏼 ♥️
First time trying this place i was Shocked food was amazing. Loaded fries were delicious & the pizza was no joke extremely fresh & and delicious, fast food pizza places don't compare at all. & enjoyed their beer selection as well from American beers, too import beers. & service was great. The young man that served my family made sure we had everything we needed & would check in to make sure cups weren't empty refilled accordingly.. plus, they play live sports as well with multiple tvs around during football season. It will be my too go spot for sure.
We came across this neat detour on our way to Broken Bow and it might just become our regular stop in the future. The atmosphere is lively and sociable, it seemed like a nice spot for locals to hangout. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to our table and needs. And the menu was not too overwhelming yet had a lot of variety and options. We got cheeseburgers and beers from their tap and were pleasantly surprised at the size! A mighty big patty with a bun working extra hard to contain it — no complaints here. The burger was good and fresh however, we did feel like it needed to be seasoned a little bit more. The taters on the other hand were the perfect amount of crispy. For sure to be a recurring detour whenever we are nearby and can’t wait to try their pizzas next time!
This is a great find out in the country. Not many choices out this way but this was a good stop. Their food menu features mostly pizza and burgers. A good bar selection for mix drinks and beers on tap. We had two salads and a mushroom burger. The fries were a little meh, the sweet potato fries were too thin. Looks like it would be a cool vibe for concerts. Our services was friendly and quick.
Wait staff was awesome and there was a lot of us. The food was okay but not great. Our friends got the pizza and it looked really good. The cheese curds were fantastic but the Cesar salad was lacking.
This place is actually pretty cool. With that being said, the food was not impressive. The patty melt is listed in the menu with a smash burger and sauteed onions. It appeared to be a pre-made frozen patty (not smashed) and a couple of small pieces of onion. It was also overcooked.
The place was clean and spacious. We sat in the patio area but we're close enough to the bar to hear the yelling. The pizza was impressive, nice thin crust with good toppings. We had pepperoni and cheese as well as chicken bacon ranch. The Rockyard Burger left alot to be desired. Lacked flavor and color looked boiled. Santa Fe salad was really good portion and had nice chunks of chicken and avocado. In conclusion, I would visit again if I was in the area, just not for dinner to avoid the bar crowd.
Four years ago, I left a glowing 5-star review for The Rock Yard because the service was excellent, and I truly enjoyed my experience. Unfortunately, after moving to Trenton last month and visiting twice, the service has been far from decent. I felt a need to redo my review. This most recent visit started off on the wrong foot. We were greeted by an older woman with gray hair at the front, and from the moment we walked in, she seemed annoyed. When we told her our party size (8), she acted as if it was an inconvenience. I carried my toddler in, and she didn’t even bother to offer a high chair—something that’s standard at most restaurants. Since when did it become the customer’s job to grab their own? The only saving grace of our visit was our waiter, Dillon. He was incredibly kind and attentive, and honestly, the only reason I was able to enjoy my meal at all. The hostess, on the other hand, was unfriendly and unwelcoming. While I understand that everyone has bad days, I was still polite to her and expected at least a basic level of hospitality—especially at a place where we were about to spend a significant amount of money on food that, unfortunately, wasn’t even great. I want to emphasize that when I first visited The Rock Yard four years ago, it was fantastic. I met the owners, the staff seemed happy, and the food was much better. I’m not sure what’s changed, but I really hope they turn things around. I truly hope the lady who sat us was not a manager, or even one of the owners. That would be such a shame.
Update 01/08/2024: Had a great dinner. Jose was our server, did a great job and food was excellent. Orig review: Overall a great experience. Only a couple things might cause one to reconsider visiting again; Our server was obviously new (only being tasked with 4 small tables) but it's essential to teach wait staff not to serve drinks by the rim of the glass. The food actually came out fast considering how busy it was, but it took quite some time to get our server to come back out for water or anything else needed. The staff preparing the pizza were also we're not wearing gloves, handling meat and cheese with their bare hands, one with a bandage on his finger..! The food was good overall; the pizza was good other than being soft, The nachos my son ordered were so so, the wings were delicious, and the fries are awesome. Update: went last week, ordered for the family and then were told they were out of wings ... At 5pm! Which was why we went there over another restaurant. Update Oct 2021: This place is so 'hit or miss', sometimes you get excellent, fast service and good food... Other times you have to wait and ask for water, orders take forever and they start putting up chairs around you, 30 mins before they even close, let alone start sweeping next to your table while you're eating... Unimpressed. May just be a training issue, but regardless, it's unpleasant, to say the least, to have people sweeping next to your table while you're eating. If it were closing time, I'd understand, but 30+ mins before close, it's rude. Update 10/24/2021 : unfortunately the service at this place just keeps getting worse and worse. Brought the family in to have a dinner, and waited as the hostess handling to go order. She left for a few and then came back and asked how she could help us. We said we needed a table for seven, she informed us, at 7:22p, that they were not seating anymore customers, was already packed up, and they would be seeing no more customers. From the front we could see 8 or so empty tables.... They had a concert going on in the back, but the dining area was half full. Maybe it's because it's a small town and they think it's acceptable, but this won't last long.... It'll start burning customers who will then just go elsewhere. Usually when a place is busy you at least get a, "it's going to be 30, 40, 50 mins until we can seat you. Would you like to wait?". But this was just a simple, we're not seating anymore people,. Because we didn't staff for this much business... That, in my experience, is poor management. UPDATE 7/14/2022: upgraded from 1 to 3 stars - to reflect this experience against the previous visits. It was super busy but the staff cleared tables to seat anyone waiting without delay. We ordered nachos, a burger and hot wings. It was a bit of a wait, because they were so busy, but everything came out fresh and hot. The food was great and the wings were coated in sauce perfectly.... I wish more wing places paid attention to dressing the wings in sauce fully!
Its for locals... food was.... eh. fries had no seasoning and no salt/pepper on table or available. Service was lacking. Just about everyone employed here is a teenager. For the price of burgers just go to Five guys. No kids menu so expect little ones to have an adult meal. Expect to wait on your server unless youre a local or regular. When this place first opened they were in point. To much has changed and not for the better. There is a definite sense that management/owners dont care.
Service was slow. We ordered two top shelf margaritas and were asked to specify tequila, so we said Patron. The margaritas were in a small mug, tasted like they had no alcohol and little did we know, were $16 dollars a piece. We also ordered the churro fries, which looked delicious....BUT were hard as rocks!!! Our 4 year old wouldn't touch them. We attempted to eat a few, but it was like biting into crayon. We were just passing by but won't be back. A $42 dollar tab for two drinks and shitty churros, no thank you
This place has the potential to be 5 stars. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is on point. It’s a new clean facility. Haven’t been for a live band yet. But looks fun. The severs and bartenders are horrible. I have been twice now. And the same thing has happened both times. We ordered drinks, server came back a few minutes later to ask if we would like an appetizer. We ordered the fried pickles. (Best I have ever had.). The pickles came out before we got our drinks. Mind you we ordered drinks that are premade like frozen margarita, beers, ect. Server when and got our drinks then a minute and a half later our food came to the table. I will continue to come for the food in hopes the service gets better.
