Italian Mecca! It is the quintessential location for all things Italian. Stay for a meal in one of a variety of restaurants including pasta, pizza, grill, charcuterie boards, freshly curated dessert and coffee. Salami freshly cut, fresh seafood, pasta, seeets, Ready made meals and fresh pasta to go and so much more Grabbed a pistachio tiramisu. Flavour bomb smooth and textured not over powering like the traditional can be. So many great desserts to choose from. A must. We are at ‘la pizza and pasta, see my separate review.
Imagine stepping into an enchanting evening at Eataly Boston—a true feast for the senses! Picture this: The Barolo Wine Dinner, where every detail sang of sophistication and taste. With no less than four courses, each artistically paired with a luscious Barolo wine, your taste buds were in for a real treat. As you strolled in, the anticipation built. The culinary wizards worked their magic right before your eyes, transforming simple ingredients into masterpieces. From the first sizzle to the final flourish on the plate, it was a spectacle of culinary artistry. Every bite was an adventure, an explosion of flavors that could only be described as downright extraordinary. It was as if each dish was saying, “Hello, darling! Enjoy this!” And enjoy it you did—every morsel was a symphony of taste, earning the coveted 'chef's kiss' for its perfection. This wasn’t just dinner; it was an experience, a gathering of food lovers basking in an evening of gourmet delights and elegant wines. So, next time you think of dining, remember, there's nothing quite like an evening hosted by the masters at Eataly Boston. I can't wait to try the cooking classes! Update 11/13/2025 Here’s my honest take on Eataly’s Holiday Festa: A total blast. Picture at least 15 wine stations, each pouring six or more bottles, so you could compare styles without rushing—silky reds, crisp whites, a few surprises. The food stations were just as thoughtful: briny-fresh oysters, perfectly seared steak, turkey with savory sausage stuffing, and decadent truffles. The dessert finish—cannoli and a delicate pear cake—felt like a hug. Fresh florals from Bloom made the space feel festive instead of crowded, and the live DJ kept the energy high without drowning out conversation. I’m officially hooked on their events; I haven’t attended one I wouldn’t happily repeat. Aged reds you might see at Eataly - Barolo (multi-year releases; often 6–10 years from vintage) — producers like Vietti, Pio Cesare, Borgogno - Brunello di Montalcino and Riserva — Altesino, Banfi, Caparzo - Amarone della Valpolicella — Allegrini, Tommasi, Masi - Barbaresco — Produttori del Barbaresco - Taurasi — Feudi di San Gregorio, Mastroberardino - Chianti Classico Riserva/Gran Selezione — Fèlsina, Castello di Ama Aged whites you might see at Eataly - Soave Classico (capable of a few years’ age) — Pieropan (Calvarino, La Rocca) - Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Riserva — Garofoli (Podium), Umani Ronchi (Plenio) - Fiano di Avellino — Feudi di San Gregorio, Mastroberardino - Etna Bianco — Benanti, Planeta - Gavi di Gavi — La Scolca - Alto Adige Chardonnay/Pinot Bianco — Elena Walch, Cantina Terlano EATELY MANAGEMENT Wine Team how about a “vertical” tastings or producer nights?!!!🙏🏽🍾🍷🥂
Hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. Eataly Boston truly delivers an authentic Italian experience—fresh ingredients, incredible flavors, and outstanding quality. Every dish was delicious. Highly recommend!
Love this place! Lots of different food and drinks options to have, including pizza by the slice, fresh focaccia, desserts like tiramisu, gelato, coffee, arancini, etc. Lots and lots of (overpriced) imported Italian products (grocery items, pantry items, kitchenware). Always a good stop for a bite or two.
Eataly is the perfect place for an afternoon shopping spree or for a date night and a feast for the senses. They have so many options, delicious food, pastries and gelato. The grocery store carries fresh produce along with all the Italian delicacies.
Most delicious food served to our party of four. The bolognaise and sauce was perfectly cooked and presented. Thank you Rafael for your generous smile and service.
I was able to buy a gasket filter replacement for one of our bialetti moka pots here(on sale nevertheless)!!! This was my first time in an Eataly store and it brought me back to springtime when I was all up in Trastevere, Rome, Italy. I had a great time looking at stuff but eventually I want to visit the location in Vegas.
This place is an experience. If you love Italy, you’ll love it here. The food is fantastic: think burrata, ravioli, Aperol Spritz; all made with quality ingredients and authentic flavor. While you’re here, stock up on kitchen essentials and Italian pantry items. It’s the perfect mix of shopping and dining. Highly recommend!
While the originator may be a bum, Eataly is a great conception of an Italian food hall. Somewhat reminiscent of the grocery stores in Italy, there are some great products and prepared foods in this store. It can be very busy but it's a large store so it was fun to explore. Great for a meal or a snake.
Went to Eataly to celebrate my birthday! We made a reservation at La Pizza & La Pasta. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. Our server was very attentive.
WOW WOW WOW. This place transports you from Boston to a refined Italian experience. There is produce, prepared foods, homemade cheese, wine, restaurants, and so much more - all packed into the Prudential Center. We enjoyed our lunch at La Pizza & La Pasta section of Eataly. They offered a lunch special that included an antipasti and an entree choice of salad/pizza/pasta. So much included in this lunch special. We ordered the suppli cacio e pepe, the mozzerella, and the polpette for the antipasti. Simply wonderful. Generous portions too. For the entree, we included the spaghetti all'arrabbiata, margherita con cotto, and the pizza burrata. The pasta dish was especially spicy with the chili flakes. The pizza was Neapolitan style with its soft, thin dough with high edges. There are several locations around the world. Enjoy everything that Eataly has to offer!
Took the kids into Boston on an overcast Sunday. We stopped at Eataly to check it out. We'd were pleasantly surprised to find a small piece of Italy nestled inside. I little piece of the North End right in Back Bay! There is multiple restaurants, bakery, Gelato shop, and even a market were you can find authentic pastas, cured meats, wine, cheeses, and more. The pizza and sandwiches were just like you'll find in the old country. We were reminiscing of our trip to Italy and how this place brought us back there. The food was delicious, the Gelato was second to only Italy! That goes for the cannolis in tiramisu! Bonus! You can purchase the sandwiches, desserts, Gelato, and pizza and take it home! We will definitely be bake and it won't be soon enough!
Fun place to visit… a little bit of history mixed with updated fun… the bread is the closest ive found how my grandmother used to make… don’t sleep on the squid ink paste w pesto..
This place is amazing - so much to offer. Authentic, fresh pasta made right there in the front, as you make your way through the store and towards the back, you find a café, a meat counter, all sorts that you didn’t even know existed from just the store front.
Huge selection of Italian freshly cooked food, along with a massive assortment of Italian groceries , sweets , chocolates and drinks. This place a great vibe and best for quick bites and gourmet pasta.
Currently hosting a Tiramisu Festival with 6 different flavours – a dream for dessert lovers! Apart from that, they offer house-made Italian desserts and creamy, rich gelato. Their classic tiramisu is the best – perfectly balanced with mascarpone, espresso-soaked layers, and just the right hint of cocoa. A must-try!
Everything was wonderful. So many things to select from. I had some Italian vegetable/ bread soup, Ribollita.
Very high-quality Italian food in a shopping mall, the ingredients are fresh and delicious, the chef cooks the food very well, but the environment is a little noisy, which has a little impact. If the environment is quiet, I believe it will be more perfect.
Amazing authentic Italian cuisine. Compare to many possible fake spots you can find across USA, this is very authentic Italian cuisine. Absolutely no mistake with any dish you go on the menu since it comes with original ingredients and such a great flavors. Pizza has so tasty crust and they offer huge selection of cheese and wines. Simply the best experience you can have for up to $25. Easy!
I got good olive oil and balsamic in good price. It had good quality products almost like Italy. It has Restaurants ice-cream shop bakery cooking class & Supermarket!
Wow what a great place! They even have markets for a bunch of stuff as well! Fantastic, will definitely have to come back thank you!
I love Eataly. Such a great atmosphere to shop and dine. The oysters, scallops bread and wine were great. The service was slow and they forgot a few things but they got it done.
Delicious Lunch at Eataly – Worth Every Penny I popped into Eataly on my lunch break and treated myself to the kale and Brussels sprout Caesar salad along with the lobster—and I’m so glad I did. The salad, tossed with their Caesar dressing, was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and far from ordinary. And the lobster? Easily the best I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly cooked and full of rich, buttery flavor. While the total for both came to $38, the quality made it totally worth it. Eataly continues to impress with its ingredients and flavors. A fantastic spot for a quick but elevated lunch—I’ll definitely be back.
I’m just glad I have somewhere I can grab an espresso and culturally appropriate real cornetto🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Not the best Italian I've ever had, but it's still good and worth experiencing the gorgeous setting. The dishes I'd recommend are the Insalata Verde, Spaghetti al Pomodoro Stracciatella, and the Cavatelli al Ragu. Not too busy at lunch time.
Almost everything is unique and the food is delicious. Plenty of the best desserts and house made Italian ice cream. You can shop in the supermarket and the chefs can prepare a meal for you with the choice of your products. They also have cooking classes events with a variety of options.
We celebrated 2 milestones with an intimate group of friends. The tiramisu presentation was a show stoppper! It was so rich and flavorful. Our squash ricotta starter with butternut chips was inspired. Staff were able to accommodate a gifted presentation of signature cocktail and dessert as a surprise to one of our honored guests!
My husband and I enjoy cooking classes when traveling and have tried many in many cities. Hands down, the pasta making class led by Thomas at the Scuola has been our favorite! In addition to wine and snacks, we learned the history before each getting to practice pasta making hands on at individual stations. Having our own workspaces was so fun and we got a lot more out of this class than many other places we have tried. We will be back!
Expensive but quality products. Good selection The most variety of any Italian store. Nice gelato pastries very good selection of wines. Great snack items. Sandwiches, pizza and pasta or quite good
I’ve visited Eataly Boston many times — I’ve shopped at the market and dined at their restaurants, and everything has always been exceptional. The food is consistently delicious, and the variety and quality of the products in the market are outstanding. Their gelato and desserts are absolutely amazing! Eataly is always one of my must-visit spots every time I’m in Boston because I know I’ll always find high-quality, well-curated products. Hearing that they are opening a location in the city where I live made me truly happy. I believe Eataly elevates the culinary scene in every place they open. Highly recommended!
Eatly is a solid spot if you’re looking for a quick meal that still feels fresh. The food comes out really fast, which is great when you’re in a rush, though the flavors can be a bit on the bland side. Nothing bad, just not super exciting. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience much better. It’s clean, efficient, and reliable for a casual bite. If they added a bit more seasoning or boldness to the dishes it’d easily be a 5-star place.
I'd love to visit and try gelatos again. Pizza Margherita: The pizza bread was so oily that it was even like soaking in the oil after reheating. The seasoning focused more on savory, while the sweetness and tanginess of tomatoes weren't as thick as imagined. The only thing I like was the fragrance provided by basil. Gelato Pistachio / Salted Caramel / Mixed Berries: That was my first time to try desserts in America, and I was surprised to find out that it wasn't as sweet as suspected. Instead, the tastes and textures were really pure, natural and authentic. Pistachio and salted caramel gelatos were thick and great, but I would especially recommend the mixed berries sorbet, as its fruitiness, refreshing-ness and fragrance in spite of the somehow overwhelming tanginess and zing.
Ok so let’s be clear here this place is not just a dining establishment…they have an amazing and authentic Italian market, which was incredible to look through. We got the pizza and a sandwhich and it was goof nothing special special but was a solid quick bite. I would say there could be some improvements to the service and also maybe like just ensuring that you get the freshest food - we were thrown off by some of the staff sniffing a container of meat sauce haha…would definitely recommend you stop in though and grab a sandwhich on their amazing fresh bread that is really the huge selling point here for us. AMAZING bread amazing ingredients.
I had the fungi pizza and turkey panini, both are good, but the fungi pizza is way too good. The dough is freshly made, the mushrooms are addictive. Reasonable prices, too bad they dont have crushed peppers. I also tried the gelato in passion fruit, pistachio, strawberry, caramel, and coffee flavor. Passion fruit stood out among all of them, real fruit flavor.
WOW! a foodie paradise. Where to start? The meats, the pastries, the wine…. Would love to win a shopping spree here. This is a must see. I grabbed a salad and it was fresh, crisp and flavorful. Hubbie had a panini. Not gonna lie it looked amazing.
Eataly is ok. The food is pretty good, the service is good, and the setting is fine. For the price, though, I cannot recommend it. Even the taste of Napoli costs nearly 30 dollars a person for small portions of pasta without meat! There are many other options throughout Boston that serve better pasta for much cheaper.
The dougnuts are pricy and too sweet (I'm prone to migraines so if you are as well - I do not recommend). The lady who works at the bakery was always giving us the looks and I didn't like coming back here to be honest. Atmosphere as in the entire place is better - if you avoid the bakery. Their offer is good and unique and I love the concept. Just the bakery part... not good.
Bustling activity and narrowly spaced seating amid interesting surroundings create a high-energy sort of social atmosphere. Interesting menu creations provide nicely varied options among pizza and pasta offerings. Among our pasta selections, one seemed rather salty and the other a bit bland, but both were enjoyable overall. Calamari was slightly chewy but I'd try it again on another visit. It was flavorful, especially with the accompanying dip.
The merchandise sold here are quite standard compare to those of the EATALY of other countries but the restaurant menu’s very different. We didn’t try the pizzas but the pastas were pretty good, not outstanding though. Services were friendly but the cookings took a bit longer than we expected. Worth a visit if you are just in Prudential Centre and looking for a standard meal.
We were here on vacation and heard a lot about this place. I really like that you can grab things on a go and have a restaurant in the middle. The food was really good with nice flavor.
If any managers are reading, please start tasting all the food once or twice a day. I've embarrassed the friends I brought praising your food and presentation. Cold pasta, pizzas that tasted leftover and reheated... Unfortunately, the waiter we told about the problem told us that this was the way it should be, which is another problem. I hope this only happened to us once. This is just a criticism, and it deserves attention.
The food is good but expensive. I wouldn’t say it’s authentic. It’s just American Italian food with less oil and salt. We went in 1.5 hours before the closing time. The waitress acted like she wanted us to finish ASAP. The restaurant is very bright. Same vibe as a high school cafeteria.
This is my second trip to Eataly. I visited the one in Las Vegas a few months ago. The atmosphere is pretty cool as I mentioned, however, the food is average at best. Portions are very small and it is very costly. It is kind of trendy to go there. However, if you are going there as a as a destination I would rather go to the North End in Boston where there are many authentic Italian restaurants, or Federal Hill in Providence. Both have superior food and a very Italian atmosphere. I had the calamari for my meal, being an appetizer I thought it would be a little larger. The portion was incredibly small for the price. Also, my colleagues ordered pasta, again The portions were very small. We were all hardy eaters and we probably could have eaten two of these meals. If you like, go there for the atmosphere and check out the market, let's skip the food. There are better restaurants around, especially in Boston. Service was pretty good, but slow.
Their outdoor/patio experience was a big let down. Service was slow, there was no espresso or coffee machine on site and no tobacco either! And value for money wasn’t great too.
Got a chicken caeser salad to go… turned out to be a breadcrumb salad. On top of the INSANE amount of breadcrumbs, the dressing tasted absolutly nothing like caeser. Chicken was good tho.
I bought their prosciutto ravioli and froze them immediately. Unfortunately, the quality was poor: several ravioli were clumped together and wouldn't separate even in boiling water, resulting in 'blocks' that remained raw in the middle. Many others burst open during the boil, leaving me with shredded pasta shards and loose filling. At a price point of $20–$25 per pound, I expected much better structural integrity. I’ve had better experiences in the past, but these felt a little stale.
Ate at their sit down restaurant. Food was okay flavor wise but I'd enjoy the meatballs more if it didn't have multiple pieces of PLASTIC packaging material INSIDE. Restaurant manager seems not surprised at issues like this. This is absolutely food SAFETY issues and lack of kitchen management.
Went to Eataly for lunch with my friend today. The place is so nice and very aesthetic. The waiter first asked us if we want bread and we said no, then someone brought us bread so we thought this is the bread that any reputable Italian restaurant usually gives for free to their guests. Well this was not the cause at Eataly and we ended up paying for that bread, that was cold, hard to eat and not fresh. As for the food, we had the lasagne and scarpariello pizza. The pizza was good but not that great. As for the lasagne, it was so bad. It was very dry on the inside with a spread of tomato within the dish. It should have come with bechamel sauce like it is written on the menu but I could not find nor taste the bechamel. So brought this to the attention of our waiter and he told us that this is how it comes with little bechamel. I told him that I did not like it and couldn’t finish it and he did not care. I don’t think anyone of management would even care about this review since they did not care when I mentioned that I did not like my food at the restaurant. No one even bothered to ask what was wrong to try to make it better for the future. I don’t recommend it and would definitely not come back. Boston is filled with great Italian restaurants and this place sadly does not make it to the list.
3 stars for Eataly. I bought some mozzarella triangles — they were empty, no mozzarella inside, seriously! Also got some ham and cheese balls that were just average, nothing special. Worst part was the cashier: super rude with a terrible attitude. Honestly, I wouldn’t go back.
What has happen to this place! They must be struggling because they cheat you when you order a small gelato and choc sauce and give less then 1/2 tsp of sauce. Request more and I was charged for 2 topping that did not equal 1 tsp. Cost almost 12.00. Service person was rude. No value and is close to cheating the customer. Alaine G
