What an amazing place an experience. Not a single thing could change to make it better. Every dish was amazing. Staff absolutely wonderful... And the owners wete here the night we stopped by. This was our first visit and they gladly explained the entire process and had wonderful recommendations! Seems like this place needs its own star ⭐ Can not wait to go back !

Went for 22nd bday!! Ordered traditional beef short ribs and thinly sliced pork belly with 계란찜 (egg soufflé) my fav. Beef and pork were both good. Also ordered 육회 (beef tartare) WHICH HAS KOREAN PEAR JUST LIKE IN KOREAA🥹 atmosphere is also similar to what I was used to in Korea. Staff was sweet ^^ I’m still waiting for my free soju…

We love this place, and totally worth the money. Great, authentic food. I like that they grill meat for me. (Because who wants to spend $100+ to make your own food? This is my current go-to Korean BBQ.

Naksan BBQ was incredible! The beef combo for two, prime rib, and beef tartare were all top quality, and the portions were perfect. The kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg tasted like home, and the cold noodles were a refreshing finish. Amazing food, impeccable service, and great vibes — perfect for first-time KBBQ or anyone craving authentic Korean food. Highly recommend!

Visiting from out of town and found this place through a Google search. The Kbbq here is out of this world amazing! We ordered a la carte beef brisket, premium pork belly, boneless short rib, cheesy corn, and steamed egg. It is a bit pricey but you're paying for the quality of meat (literally melts in your mouth) and service. Our server was super attentive and cooked everything for us tableside, while also refilling our banchan twice. Also they have very good vent hoods over the grill that sucks up all the strong charcoal kbbq smell and afterwards your clothes dont smell as bad like at other kbbq places. Would definitely come back if in Boston!

Having experienced authentic Korean barbecue in Asia, this is as good as it gets in New England. Service is attentive and excellent. The quality of the meat and dishes will impress you. But, the cost is prohibitive. This is not a place you can afford to visit weekly - this is more of a splurge when you're celebrating something. We paid like $400 for 4 people to feel kinda satisfied but not full.

This Korean BBQ experience exceeded my expectations. The service was exceptional, with a warm welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance transported me to South Korea, creating a delightful atmosphere. Following the server's recommendation, we tried the pork combo, and it was truly outstanding. The attentive staff not only grilled the BBQ for us but also assisted in cutting the meats, adding a personalized touch to the dining experience. The pork belly and ribs were particular highlights, leaving us thoroughly impressed. In summary, I rate this establishment a perfect 5 for its exceptional service, immersive ambiance, and top-notch food quality.

One of the best places we've been to for Korean BBQ in the Boston area. The service, food, and atmosphere is exceptional here. We came here on a weekday for dinner and it was pretty crowded but we were still seated within a reasonable timeframe. The waiter explained all of the menu options to us and even recommended some dishes to us. The Korean BBQ was amazing. The staff cooked a bit for us but we took over as we are used to cooking ourselves, but they kept an eye just in case of the grill or overcooking the meat. The meat was soft and juicy and was very good with the dipping sauces. We also tried the seafood pancake, kimchi stew, and cold noodles. I don't typically like the cold noodle broth, but this one was really good. The service is also very good. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff gave us a free Soju on the house. He also helped us make Somaek for us. Overall a wonderful experience. The dishes do get a bit expensive if you are a big eater, but it is well worth it.

Naksan BBQ offers one of the trendiest Korean BBQ experience in Boston. My friends and I came here on a Friday for dinner and were impressed with the overall experience. Not only was it authentic but also food and the service was top notch even when compared to typical BBQ places in Seoul. We got the large pork combo, and it was enough between the three of us. Since they have a minimum order requirement for the meat orders, combo seemed like the best way to try different types of meat. Out of the meats we've tried, our favorites were their special cubed marinated pork belly, premium pork belly, and the pork jowls. Our server cooked everything for us from start to finish, so we didn't have to worry about the meats being overcooked. The soy bean soup and the egg soufflé on the side were also great, and I would highly recommend getting these if you're not going for the combos. We wrapped it all up with the classic Korean way - cold noodles. Both were unfortunately a bit too sweet for our taste, but they were still solid. Highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for an authentic Korean BBQ.

I had an amazing experience at Naksan! We ordered the Pork Combo and the selection of meats was diverse and of high quality. A bit pricey but delicious flavors and a great atmosphere made it a fantastic meal.

The amount of food they serve you is crazy! You definitely get your moneys worth AND they cook the meat for you. The waitress we had was hilarious and talked with us like old friends. If you’re a fool like me and my friends you might confuse the menu thinking all of it is $175 per person but that’s just for the grand tour. Maybe the prices seemed great after thinking we’d each have to pay $175!

Food was excellent! Our family went today after painting pottery in Brookline. Thing was slow as they are short in staff but food was delicious! We LOVE the Naksan special! Beef melt in mouth! Egg was so good with rice. Will definitely come back

Everything is delicious! Restaurant is easy to get to from public transit. There is street parking too. The atmosphere is really good vibes. It didn’t even feel like I was in Boston since there aren’t many kbbq spots like this. They grill the food with charcoal which enhances the flavor of the meat differently. I had pork belly and marinated short rib beef. Also had to try the cold noodles and egg soufflé! Everything was very good. I wish there were more portions of the meat since the price is up there a bit. Overall, it was a positive experience.

We really enjoyed our dinning experience. Junitae was really helpful in explaining what we could have due to Gluten allergy. Great meat & pork! Egg Soufflé is a must!

This place was fantastic! Right from the start, the aesthetic and service set this restaurant apart. Our server Jason did a fantastic job and was so polite and attentive. We were sat right away and had an amazing array of food. Though this was my first time with Korean bbq, I've heard that woodfired grills are rare outside of Korea, and they added so much to the taste and atmosphere. Definitely a special occasion place, but the food is delicious and eating here was so much fun!

A little bit pricy, but the best Korean bbq in Boston! All dishes came out with great presentation. Short rib is well marinated. Good vibes for a Friday evening!

This is a great Korean BBQ place. When you go in, you are transported to similar Korean restaurants in Korea. Each station has its own vacuum system to keep the smoke in check but also to keep the coal at it's peak temperature. Our server cooked the food for us to make sure we got the best experience and so that it is not undercooked. (This differs from what you would experience in South Korea, where you cook your own). The chairs that you sit on are low back but comfortable and have a compartment to store your jacket and other accessories that you want to keep away from the dining table. How to order... You can select a pre existing combos starting at $139 and has 4 types of meats ( two pork and two beef). Optionally you can go a-la-carte or choose your own meat options, but note that you have to order at least two meat selections, where the lowest entry is $42 and highest is $59 for a wagu beef. With your meat selection, they serve an assortment of kimchis and rice (all of them were super delicious). They also serve you complimentary water and a flowery welcome drink served with pine nuts. A great presentation overall. I highly recommend the Korean BBQ short ribs, they were excellently seasoned and cooked. Although it may come with a hefty price for most, it's still worth to visit. There was a short wait when we went and my only beef :) with this establishment is parking. I had to park at least 5 blocks away and walk back because all parking is taken or require permit parking. Taking an Uber is your best bet or take public transit. The green train is just across the street .

Excellent new KBBQ restaurant. Everything is quite authentic, with the grill and the exhaust, the button on the table for service, and the silverware. On point. Beef Combo Large is a must have. All the meat varieties are amazing and delicious. Japchae is excellent, egg souffle is super soft and fluffy, endless side dishes, and most importantly, table service with meat cooked for us. Must give them an A+++ on service.

Amazing experience! Jason was our server and was so helpful and polite- really stepped up the experience for us - meat was delicious and cooked perfectly. Presentation of food was 10/10 and we felt welcomed immediately as we walked in. We were a party of 3 and got the small beef combo along with premium pork belly. It was more than enough food for us as they kept replenishing all the side dishes, and it came with stew and rice as well. I’ve been to KBBQ in South Korea and I would so this is up to those standards or even BETTER because of the service, and high quality presentation. Definitely worth the money, and I love that they cook the meat for you, this type of grill really gives it a great flavor! Can’t wait to come back again, best KBBQ i’ve ever had! Thank you Jason!

Great food, outstanding service, although pricey. One of the best K bbq in Boston or MA. The servers were great and attentive. Parking in the area wasn’t easy though.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Korean BBQ restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the friendly staff, setting the stage for an incredible dining experience. Let's talk about the star of the show—the meat. Oh, my taste buds were in absolute heaven! We ordered Pork large combo and Beef large combo. The restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor is evident in every mouthwatering bite. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with smoky deliciousness. The variety of cuts and flavors available left me spoilt for choice. Whether it was the succulent ribs, juicy steaks, or the mouthwatering pulled pork, every dish showcased the expertise and passion of the servers. And then, the servers at the BBQ restaurant are true professionals who clearly take pride in their work. They are attentive, genuinely interested in ensuring your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. From the moment I sat down, I was treated like royalty. The server cooked all of the meat perfectly and went above and beyond to accommodate my preferences. And they were offering helpful suggestions and ensuring that my meal was customized to my liking. Their friendliness and promptness in attending to every need truly elevated the overall experience. The rustic yet inviting atmosphere creates a warm and welcoming environment that is perfect for enjoying a meal with family and friends. The décor is tastefully done, with attention to detail that complements the theme of a traditional Korean BBQ joint. If you're a meat lover searching for an unforgettable Korean BBQ experience, look no further than the BBQ restaurant. From the delectable, perfectly cooked meat to the outstanding service and inviting ambiance, this place is a true gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Experience at Naksan was amazing!!! Quality of the meat was no compare to other korean bbq restaurants in boston. We ordered pork belly, pork cheeks, korean cold noodle, and especially, beef tar tar was amazing. Servers here were very generous of explaining individual dishes we had. Experience at this restaurant was amazing so I would definitely comeback next time.

Came here on a Friday night around 8p and luckily only had to wait 5 mins. Service was great. They all greeted us right when we walked in and the servers were all very attentive. The servers cook the meat for you and they do a great job without over cooking it. We got 2 orders of pork belly and kalbi. We looked at the menu again after and the combos would've been a better deal. Will be getting that next time!

Everything was great from the food to the service. Stepping into the restaurant felt like stepping into an authentic Korean BBQ right in Korea. The meat was of great quality that matched its price. Would definitely come again with friends!

HIGHLY underrated - excellent service, atmosphere, and great food. Everything was super fast and they cook the food for you in front of you. Only thing is that for us it was hard find any available nearby parking, there’s street parking but spots were taken, then again we ate there on New Years.

Great dinner with my family. 3 first timers for Korean BBQ out of 4 of us. Everyone enjoyed their experience and the food. Definitely lives up to its reputation as the best in the Boston area.

We have dined at Naksan quite a few times. The food here is fairly consistent and pretty good for Korean bbq. It's probably the most similar to what you would get in Seoul in terms of flavors. However, the quality of meats and cookery still can't compare. But, we live in Boston and don't have many other good options. The marinated pork belly was very tasty with a bit of the salt. The marinated short ribs had good flavor but chewy. The japchae is always very good here. The seafood pajeon was again rubbery and not crispy. We will stop ordering that from now on. We have had good egg soufflés here previously but this time it was overcooked. The banchans are quite good though very small portions, but you can always ask for refills. I find their kimchi to be too sour for our taste. Service is efficient although difficult to flag servers down during busy dinner hours. We find the restaurant too dark and music too loud for our liking. It's always cold inside the restaurant during summer and winter. Good thing the grill provides needed warmth. Valet parking is helpful since finding street parking is difficult but adds $20 to the tab. Price is on the high side but overall we can always count on a decent meal here.

Came here for a family dinner on a busy Friday night. The food and service were very good. The pig feet was average but the cold noodle was very good. The price was a bit high compared to other Korean places in Boston.

Naksan Korean BBQ is an excellent spot for high-quality Korean barbecue. The meat and ingredients are top-notch — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The staff is very friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. We ordered the BBQ set size L, and it was more than enough for four people. It’s a great place to come with family — fun, relaxed, and delicious. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic Korean BBQ in a welcoming setting!

As other reviews have mentioned, the food is quality but portions are very small for the price. I dined here with one other person and we got the pork belly and wagu steak. The meats were delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff were very accommodating of my peanut allergy which I appreciated. After eating all of the meat and multiple sides, I left the meal still feeling hungry and ended up eating more food at home. Not ideal when you’ve just spent $50 per person for a restaurant meal.

M
M L

Overall, the food was good, but for the price, I expected better attention to detail. We ordered the stir-fried glass noodles and seafood pancake, but they never arrived. We assumed they’d come after the meat, but they didn’t come until we had to ask again. Even though the server confirmed our order twice, it was never put in. The kimchi stew was also underwhelming. It was just an overload of kimchi, two pieces of tofu, and a bare bone. For a Korean restaurant, this should be a standout dish, but it ended up being the least impressive. Then there was the rice, which arrived lukewarm. If it's being served in a steel bowl designed to retain heat, it should at least start out warm. Although minor, we felt a bit rushed by how the server was constantly cooking the meat right in front of us, which didn’t give us much time to enjoy each bite before the next batch was already being made. That said, the meat was cooked perfectly by our server, and I’d recommend the corn cheese, stir-fried glass noodles, and steamed egg. The quality of the food itself was good, but with the high price point, I expected a smoother experience.

Great service. And decent food. The prices were a little too expensive for the amount of food you got. Table side waiter/waitress will cook the meat for you, which is nice. Meats were good quality. Good atmosphere. It’s a try it once place, or once in awhile, since it is so expensive.

X
Xin Zhang

Food They cook for you! I do appreciate BBQ restaurants that have people who can cook for you because it not only enhances the experience but also makes sure the meat was cooked properly. In a way, it saves the restaurant’s reputation because some people could overcook or undercook the meat and give a bad review. We order kimchi pancake, prime short rib, and pork belly cubes. They were delicious, but it was so overpriced considering the portion. Everything else The ambiance was nice, but I don’t know how long this place can last if they are so expensive.

M
Marie desJardins

As others have said - this is *really* expensive! In the picture, you see $38 worth of "premium" pork belly (two slices, maybe 4 oz) and $47 of kalbi (maybe 6oz), along with the banchan (side dishes) that come with it. Rice wasn't included - we had to ask for that separately. We also ordered a seafood pancake ($15, which I thought was more reasonable) and two beers. Grand total with tax and tip, $120. You'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth it - personally I felt it was overpriced. Apart from that, the food was quite good, very well prepared, and the service was attentive, even though they are still in their "soft opening." The seafood pancake had a very generous amount of seafood and was very tasty, though different from the way the fish is usually prepared (here it's more of a thin crepe, instead of a thicker pancake). We didn't order the egg "puff"/custard, but someone at the next table had it, and that looked really good. Presumably part of the reason for the high prices is the labor to run the grill at the table and cook the food. As you can see, the grill is built into the table (it's a charcoal grill, which is unusual) and the pan gets VERY hot; there's an overhead-mounted vent system that the server actively directs around the grill to keep the circulation and minimize smoke, which works well but really is very labor-intensive. There were a few glitches (our grill was sending out sparks when they first set it up, and later on, flames were coming up the sides - turned out they had forgotten to put water into the catchment pan, which keeps the drippings from catching fire - just a soft-opening glitch that I expect will be sorted out in the future).

O
Oanh H.

The meats and side dishes here were delicious. The seafood pancake is thin but oily on the bottom. I wonder if they were too busy when I went here because the rice and pork dipping sauce were brought out much later. We never got the lettuce for wraps. The waiters were informative about which sauce pairs well with which meat. Everyone were friendly and I would come back here.

A
Aaron P. Chen

This isn't a typical all-you-can-eat spot; it's a focus on quality over quantity, and it shows in every detail.

A
Asiya Korepanova

Very, very good food, but awfully loud music that gets louder and louder through the evening, making it impossible to hold a conversation with people you came with.

E
Emma

The food was good but it felt overly expensive. We were a party of three and paid about $60 each for 2 meats and 3 sides (and I could have eaten more). The meat and the pancake were very tasty, but I felt like there should be more meat for the price. The complementary banchan were plentiful, though they mostly shared the same sauce so there wasn’t as much variety in flavor as I expected.

S
Shuo

Food is good, but literally prepared from Costco’s meat. Service is good. Atmosphere is great, not too crowded and no loud music. Everything is really pricey. $100 per person for a Korean bbq is extremely expensive. I believe it would be even cheaper if you went to NYC by train and have your dinner in K-town there.

S
Stephanie Cappelletti

This is an incredibly authentic K-BBQ! The staff are all Korean. The food is prepared and presented in true Korean fashion. This is absolutely the best K-BBQ outside of K-Town in Manhattan and our favorite mom & pop place in Burlington. Absolutely blows the doors of Gyu-Kaku which is not a Korean establishment and buries Koreana! The setting is fun and edgy but the atmosphere is outrageously loud so don't expect to hold a conversation! Amazing!

S
Shirley “BeHappy”

The place is not busy at all. The beef menu is price high, beef quality is not too good. The small pork package is lots of meat. Besides the server cook for you, no other common service will get from server. We ask the soup to take home, they never bought it back, we felt embarrassed to ask for it. We had our own cake and own plates & fork; they got them out; we had to ask for knife; we have to ask for the box back. We ask for more kimchi, , the servers gave me an eye that “wow, want more?” I don’t know, maybe they know that we’re not going to return. So, don’t care.

H
Harry H

The BBQ itself was acceptable, nothing particularly impressive but fine overall. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor and disappointing. There were four of us dining, and after the meat was grilled within about 20 minutes, the service staff completely disappeared. No follow-up, no checking in, no assistance at all. For a BBQ restaurant, service is a major part of the experience, and this level of inattentiveness was truly frustrating. Very disappointing overall.

A
Ali Sadir

Food was just okay not great, not terrible. Would I go again? Nope. First when we sat down, the spoon on the table was dirty. I showed it to the server instead of replacing it nicely, he just snatched it out of my hand like I’d annoyed him. Weird start. We ordered the combo, and when the server cooked the first meat, it was literally raw. No joke look at the photo. I had to put it back on the grill myself to cook it more, but the server still went and put it back on the plate. On top of that, the pacing was terrible. The whole meal felt rushed. The second plate of meat cooked before we even touched the first one, and then the third came right after. I had to ask them to slow down because we couldn’t enjoy the food at all. Overall, the experience felt rushed, and not worth it.

F
Fercika N.

Would NOT recommend unless you want to pay 140 for such a small plate of meat! Although I appreciate the lady who grilled for us, but the veggie she grilled is all burnt on the outside and completely HARD inside. We couldn’t eat it at all. Also why on earth did they put a Korean pancake on a pizza plate? So sus to me.

E
EB R

I’ve visited Naksan several times before, but today was by far the worst experience. My server was EJ, and their attitude was incredibly unfriendly. The server wore a mask and didn’t respond when we made requests, handling everything with a blank expression. To give a few examples: First, there was charcoal dust on the grill, but she went ahead and cooked the meat on it without cleaning it. Second, when we asked for a sauce refill, she never brought it. Also, when we ran out of water and asked for more, she didn’t say a word, just walked away and then came back to slam it down on the table. How can someone with such an attitude work as a server at a restaurant? I used to recommend this place to friends for group gatherings because I had a good impression before, but today completely changed my mind. We considered ordering more food, but we were so uncomfortable that we decided to leave. On the way home, we stopped by McDonald’s for some fries — and honestly, the McDonald’s staff were much friendlier.

L
LENA KIM

All the meat we had today was completely burned — tough, bitter, and unpleasant. For the pork combo, the last marinated pork ribs were put on a dirty, burnt grill instead of a fresh one. All the burnt bits stuck to the ribs, and when I asked for a new grill, the server said it would burn anyway because it’s marinated. I reminded them it had been replaced before, and they finally changed it, but the meat had already absorbed the burnt flavor. Even the vegetables and all the other meat were overcooked and charred. With this quality, the place is definitely overpriced

S
Scarlett Choi

Horrible service. The food was okay (not worth $80+ per person), and our server was nice, but the host at the front desk was unbelievably rude. I was visiting from the West Coast, and this dinner was supposed to be a special time with two friends. One friend had to leave early, and the other arrived late because a tree fell in her yard due to strong wind. The plan was for two of us to start eating at 5:30 and the third to join at 6. Even though the restaurant was completely empty at opening, the host refused to seat us unless all three people were present and made us wait outside on a cold, rainy, windy night. His only explanation was, “It’s the rule.” No apology, no flexibility. Because of this, my friend who had to leave early didn’t have time to enjoy her meal, and what should have been a nice reunion was ruined. The restaurant stayed half empty the whole time. We will never go back.

A

Don’t go here! We visited this place for a family dinner with relatives visiting us. Food were nothing special average at best for the price. The kimchee was so old and sour. When we question the freshness of it, they just brought out another terrible portion. Service was the worst. The manager was so rude and pompous as if he is running some 5-star gourmet restaurant. They are so snooty and they lied to us. I wanted to bring a Bibim Bop to my husband who couldn’t join us. They told us they were out of it! It was 5 pm on Friday night. How the most popular dish can be all sold out at Friday 5:00 pm? They could just tell us their policy or reason, Very unethical for any respectable businesses.
