One of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had! Incredibly cheesy, good price, and exceptional service. A worker came around every few minutes to wipe finished tables and ask how the food is. Everything was clean and delicious. Charging $2 for every cup of sauce felt a bit crazy, but what are you gonna do.

I’m a house call pet groomer and I had a client who lived 20 minutes walking distance from Handcraft Burger and Brew. I was starving after grooming cats all morning. So my assistant and I decided to grab a bite to eat. I was craving a burger and fries. Luckily enough after scouring the internet I found this cute small place. They have gluten free buns which they get 10 points for having since I have a gluten allergy. We ordered 5 orders of French fries and two burgers. The burgers were delicious and really hit the spot. The French fries were super tasty. They brought our food with no problem and I felt relieved I didn’t have to stand in line waiting for my food. I’m definitely coming back again. Plus, the staff has an awesome music list playing while we were there. We sang along with the music.

One of the best burgers in New York! We spent only 2.5 days in NYC and ate here twice — that says it all! Got our order to go and enjoyed it in the park — the burger stayed hot, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. The bun was soft, the meat perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries with truffle sauce and honey mustard were absolutely amazing 🔥 Such a great flavor combo! If you’re looking for a truly delicious burger spot in New York, this place is a must-try!

They unfortunately don't have a number to call and talk to someone (it prompted me to text the manager, but I never got an answer back), but they answered in-store that I could do the Rev's Secret Smash without the peanut butter (nut allergies). They do not cook with peanut oil at this time. Fries and burger were tasty. Slightly greasy burger, but nothing over the top. The fries aren't super garlic/heavily seasoned fries. Got our food really quick (came right before rush hour). They do have the option for ordering ahead online for dine-in or take-out. Great prices considering where they are located. Kind and helpful staff. Clean restaurant.

Really good smashed burgers. Well worth it to eat there. We took our burgers as take away and walked over to Bryant park to eat. So after those 3-5 minuts walk did the bottom bun become really soft and moist. Guess they are not letting the burgers rest any before they place them on the bun. So eat there, I guess that will make that less of a problem.

I stopped into this spot for lunch. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked into a packed restaurant. I ordered with Jason and he was nice. I ordered: Rupee Beer Handcraft Plate Loaded Tater Tots Spicy Chicken Sandwich Single OG Single Ultimate Smash Veggie Oklahoma I enjoyed the food a lot! My favorite was the Single OG! All in all I had s good experience!

Great Burger 🍔! I had a smashed Vegetarian Burger whose patty was good. Taste was really worth the wait. Bun texture was good and really took time to enjoy that.

On the way to Movie Night at Bryant Park, I stopped by Handcraft Burgers & Brews. I ordered a Single OG burger, and it didn't disappoint! My burger was medium done, with cheddar cheese, Handcraft sauce, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun! Delicious! I also love the Single Ultimate Smash burger, especially with grilled onions on a potato bread bun! I recommend dining at this restaurant, because the food is always delicious and the customer service is excellent!

I’ve been wanting to try this spot for a while, and what better day than National Hamburger Day to finally do it! I was among the first 100 guests and had heard they serve some of the best burgers around—now I can confirm it’s true. The burger was a match made in heaven: soft, buttery brioche buns, perfectly char-grilled burger meat, and cheese and sauce melted just right. I’m officially hooked and will definitely be back. Even after 30 minutes, the burger held up without getting soggy—major bonus! The manager was incredibly kind and helpful, and the person handling check-ins was super responsive to make sure you had the email and signed up to get the burger. The cashier attendant was so nice when upselling and checking order. My only small note: I wish the fries had looked a bit better, but I’m confident they’ll be on point next time.

There are only 18 seats, but it’s constantly moving, so it’s not too long of a wait for a table. The burgers were good and everyone seemed to really like theirs (10 people total). They have rotating beer selections and the tots are great; Very well cooked. I was a little surprised by the veggie burger, it was green and had peas and carrots in it. It was good though. Will stop by again next trip

All customers may place their order through the in-store kiosk or through food platforms such as Grub Hub or Uber Eats. Let’s check out a couple of the menu items I explored. Single Ultimate Smash: This smash burger has a less than stellar appearance, but it was really tasty. It was topped with shaved onions, cheddar cheese, handcraft sauce, and pickles on a potato roll. Golden Onion Rings: These battered onion rings are served piping hot. They are crunchy on the outside while steamy on the inside. Dipping sauce is an option, but it’s not really needed because they are tasty as is. A water cooler is available if you wish to help yourself to complimentary water; or feel free to purchase an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. The restroom is available to everyone including non-customers, but there is a nominal fee if you do not buy anything. We had a good dining experience at Handcraft Burgers and Brew. It is considered one of the top burger spots in Manhattan. We ordered ultimate smash Oklahoma - the burgers are cooked perfectly (medium-well) as ordered, juicy and flavorful, and the build-your-own option is great if you like to customize. The service was friendly and very efficient. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the wait - the place gets more busy at night during weekendsand holidays and you have to wait about 30 to 40 minutes for a table, and it gets quite loud inside. Definitely recommend for anyone craving a quality burger in Manhattan! But, If you can come at an off-peak time, you're in for a real treat.

I recently visited Handcraft in New York, and I must say, the experience was delightful. The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal. The star of the show, the burger, was absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality. However, I did find the burger to be on the smaller side, which left me wanting more. On the other hand, the chips were a pleasant surprise. They were big, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Overall, Handcraft offers a tasty meal with great flavors, though a slightly larger burger would make the experience even better. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area!

We ordered 3 burgers and 2 fries and took the food out to the park one block away. The food was awful and cold. It was definitely not special or cooked from scratch. I would go elsewhere.

The food here is always amazing and usually so is the staff. That was not the case this evening when I stopped in. We ordered and sat down and a woman came up to us and very angrily asked if we were staying or going. When we told her we had mistakenly put take out on our ticket and meant to stay in and enjoy she got even more agitated and told us we couldn’t sit where we’re sitting and that it was too many people (there was 3 of us at a table), and she didn’t want to fall over us. She then went and asked the other members off our party that had taken another table if they were staying or going (with the same nasty attitude that she had given us). When she found out they were staying as well, she sucked her teeth and said “this shhh is ridiculous”. Bacon was missing from one of our orders and when the young lady went to let them know, the same woman was rude to her about it saying they had no order with bacon and to give her our receipt (which showed we paid for bacon). When the burger came back out, it was bacon crumbs and not actual bacon. Closer to the end of our dining experience, we were rushed out because she wanted to clean the table, when there was a member of our party still enjoying his food. I did notice she did not say anything to the party of 4 that was just sitting at their table and they had been eating and finished long before we got there. Really disappointed with the way we’re treated this evening. The evening staff need to be better trained on how to actually be welcoming to their guests. Editing this to add pictures of how the food came out. 3 extra dollars for bacon and they gave us the scraps. Also onions burnt on the burger.
