Was Kunden über Indika House sagen
Indika House is a neighborhood favorite known for its delicious and consistently high-quality Indian food and friendly, family-like service. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Tikka Masala, and Samosa Chaat are highly recommended. Some find the butter chicken watery or certain dishes inconsistent.

Just wow!! The food is amazing! It’s a festival of flavors. Highly recommend the biryani with jackfruit- I’d never seen anything like that before, but the flavor, texture and colors were spectacular. Service is wonderful too- food comes out fast and piping hot, server lovely guy. New favorite Indian restaurant!!
The food is fabulous, the service is fast, and the prices are not unreasonable! I got their mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, and naan. Everything was so delicious, and it was so hard to not give myself a stomach ache from eating too fast. Thank you chef!
Great lunch! The special is reasonably priced and plenty to eat. Soup, entree, naan and papadum. The Chai is made fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that it's the dead of winter, and every time the door opens, the temperature drops ten degrees. Curtains over the door would go a long way. Other than that, it's great, and I'll definitely be back.
I used to live around the corner and was obsessed with ordering from here. I commuted the hour to come revisit and it still holds up! Food is sooo delicious and comforting and the people that work there are so awesome.
Read outstanding review from Sietsema and decided to give a try. Broad menu with dishes from different areas of India. All dishes were excellent but especially enjoyed the tandoori dishes (salmon and paneer). Paneer is superb! Will definitely come back again.
I've tried so much indian food in Bushwick and surrounding areas. Nothing compares to Indika house. Their food is consistently astounding and fresh unlike other indian restaurants in the area. This place is top tier. Please eat here for your own satisfaction!
Delicious and authentic Indian food. We ate Gobi 65 which was perfectly spicy cauliflower, with not too much heat for this hot head. Samosas were good, though we should have ordered the chaat samosas instead with chickpeas in lieu of peas. Chicken vindaloo was exactly how it should be with lots of flavor and spicy. Chicken tandoori was sizzling and mouth watering. Only negative was the sheetrock repairs which was odd but I suppose it's not easy to paint that huge mural. Portions are large, and unfortunately we were on our way to the Market Hotel across the way with no where to store leftovers. We could've shared the vindaloo or the tandoori between the 2 of us with the appetizer. Lastly the cracker bread with the green sauce, bell pepper sauce and tamarind sauce were all good.
Paneer Tikka Masala is my comfort food and today I needed it. Went to the restaurant the first time, and did not disappoint at all. 10/10 highly recommended. Flavourful, a good portion, big thank you ✨️✨️ + the cheese garlic naan is out of this world!
Indika house is our go-to for Bushwick. Is it the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten? no. Is it the best in the neighborhood, for sure. Other places that I won’t name that have good reviews on here make food that I find inedibly salty. So if you like that, you might not like this. The balance of flavors here is good. Good spice level (we always write a note in the directions for medium spice). The saag is fresher tasting than most. We mostly order vegetarian options, so I can’t speak to the meat quality, but it’s not as greasy and feels a bit healthier than other Indian takeout options. My only disappointment is that sometimes they forget the little sauce condiments.
Ordered Indika House for delivery. I was honestly expected some mid-quality food due to how reasonably-priced their takeout meal deal was. But boy, was I wrong; everything was delicious, fresh, and warm. I’ve been to some Indian places that try to hide stale / dry chicken with curry, but the meat in Indika House’s butter chicken was tender and melt-in-your-mouth. My expectations for the Aloo Tikki were also low, I’ve had places serve it like a dry, seasoned hockey puck. But Indika House’s version was crispy and flakey on the outside and soft, flavorful on the inside. So thrilled to have another regular takeout spot added to our list!
UNMATCHED!!! Consistently incredible food. We’ve been ordering delivery from Indika House for years and the quality and flavors are always on point. They’re closed on Tuesdays and once or twice we decided to try another restaurant on that day. Never. Again. Indika House is the only way!! Keep it up!
Wonderful food!! I've eaten Indian cuisine in Bangladesh, Dubai, India and Angola. The flavors of the dishes here at Indika House are perfect. The Samosa Chaat was even better than I've had when traveling internationally. The service was good, attentive and friendly to talk with. Very good wall painting art. The prices are great. I will eat here again on my next visit to Brooklyn.
Came here for the high reviews and they should be higher! Had lunch special of yellow dal and lamb rogan josh which comes with rice and naan. Also got samosa chaat app which is vegetarian(would split this with someone next time, it’s huge!). All were delicious. At lunch, at least as of this writing, there’s no table service but you can eat take out picnic style in restaurant. Very nice front staff. Ruins last place I had Indian lunch.
Very inconsistent (different dishes good on different days) but the highs are really high and the lows are ok. My favorite casual Indian spot in Brooklyn
I did DoorDash delivery the butter chicken was good but it was a bit watery. The sambusas were also good but i dont recomend the chicken tilka it was bland.
EDIT: Lmaooooo. Based on this restaurants response, I guess this is my 5th edit on this review. I edited before because originally, this was the 2nd Indian restaurant I tried in Bushwick. I have since tried 3 more. (The other edits to my review were because I realized I had typos). To be clear, I never re-ordered from this place after the first time. Because it wasn't great. And now since they gave me a sassy response... and accused me of working for/doing free advertising for Kitchen Grill just because I said it was better... I'm changing my review to 2 stars 😅. To whoever posted the response from Indika House, no, I don't work at a restaurant. I just moved to Bushwick and I am an art director. I'm just an Indian person in Brooklyn who, like many others, has been extremely disappointed by the Indian food that's offered in the area. And I want to offer honest opinions about the food I try here so I can help other people find the most authentic options. And this ain't it 🚫 The way I discovered Kitchen Grill in the first place was by reading another person's review on this same page who mentioned it's better. And I'm glad I read it because they were right. Your response was not only unprofessional, but also pretty salty. Maybe you should sub in that salt for all the sugar you put in your food 🤣🧂 LAST REVIEW: Unfortunately, like most Indian restaurants in the area, this is not authentic Indian food. Try Kitchen Grill instead if you don't want a sugar bomb in your Chicken Tikka Masala. Being Indian and having moved here about 6 months ago, I've started a whole topic of conversation on r/Bushwick about how disappointing and Americanized the Indian food is in Brooklyn in general...I've never experienced this in any other US city in my life. They treat it like American Chinese food and just dump sugar into everything. You might like it (I enjoy American Chinese sometimes but much prefer authentic Szechuan). But please, just know that it's not Indian food at all. Indika House was ok enough to get 3 stars instead of 2 because some of the other places I tried around here were much, much worse. I'll start with the Saag Paneer. It was ok flavor-wise despite the paneer being rather tough and dry. Not great, but better than the Saag I've ordered at some other restaurants. Bhindi was ok too, might be a little too sour/vinegary for some but I liked it. Garlic naan was good. Chicken Tikka Masala was WAAAY too sweet. The chicken itself was ok. I cut through the sweetness by eating each bite with yogurt. That made it edible but not enjoyable. I ended up throwing out my leftovers. Anyways, overall an ok place I guess but I will search elsewhere for more authentic (not sweet) Indian delivery.
I made our purchase based on the reviews I saw on Google maps! The individual who wrote these excellent reviews must be related to owner. The only thing we liked was the shrimps 🍤 in the Briyani. The soup was not my cup of tea. The Naan ( my guest favored that). Not me. The rice was to much Not what I expected at all. I was looking for a taste similar to that of Arga Heights before the good Chef left. When we ate the rice all i could taste was cloves and cardamom seeds. I tried using the condiments that where sent to enhance the flavors but it did not work. Except for the shrimps! The shrimps in the Briyani was well seasoned despite the fact that the rice had an overwhelmingly strong clove taste.
The food was amazing until the next day I got insane food poising. Chills fever and keeping nothing down. I’m sad bc it was tasty but I have never experienced anything like that
