The dinner was amazing, definitely high quality and well conceived. I went here on a date night and it was definitely a hit. They have a rotating guest chef which is very intriguing, I definitely see this as a Michelin meal dining experience. The steak tartare by Chef Alan Delgado was so good I was so sad it was done. Will come back regularly especially since the price here was veeeery reasonable.
I love the customer service here also the variety of food . They change chefs every week or two which means we can try so many dishes from one place.
Delightful spot to have a glass of wine or a coffee. Feels so Brooklyn-y! There was a pop-up grill situation happening tonight that increased the liveliness on a beautiful evening with friends. I liked the natural Prosecco. Funky! Friendly staff and cute shop in the back.
Lights out. Delicious well-priced plates with an incredible wine list. Highly recommend the burrata with whatever seasonal gremolata is in the mix.
Had dinner to guest chef, Steve Ortiz and it was amazing ❤️❤️ my friends and I ordered the entire menu and he didn’t disappoint. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Steve!
Fantastic wine bar tucked away in BedStuy. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and beautiful objects define the space. Get the burrata and mackerel
Great resident Chefs weekly. Nice atmosphere and vibes!
A wonderful place, decorated with so much attention. The food is exceptional - do not hesitate to pick several courses and share them - the wine is excellent and the crowd very friendly. Perfect for a date or for group The access is very easy with J or M train. A a happy discovery highly recommended to everyone
My husband and I love coming here for a good time together. They have rotating chefs so the food is always different. First time we came they had a Venezuelan chef and the food was amazing. Nothing you’ve ever seen, but the chefs creation. The menu won’t give anything away, anything you try will be a surprise. It’s experimental, you’re not just feeding yourself.
Super impressed! Love the vibe. The food was delicious and the wine offering was top notch. What really made the whole experience so special is the food is served on handmade ceramics made by the owner with the studio in the back that you can peak into. The pottery makes for a great gift too!
This is an amazing space. All of the staff was knowledgeable about every dish and every bottle on the menu, and the feelings of attention and intimacy given to us made for a relaxed and joyful dining experience. The wine selections were so varied and exciting, and the accessible price points meant that I could try something I never would’ve been able to elsewhere. We were blown away. And that’s not even mentioning the food. John is an unbelievable force in the kitchen. The whole menu is designed, prepped, and executed by him in a tiny little open kitchen right at the bar. We tried everything on the menu, and at every step were completely in awe. The care and the clear excitement behind their designs made for a menu with zero misses. Every detail mattered. Even simple dishes, like the prawns and the tartar, were made completely unique and without pretension. John has to be one of the most talented and exciting new chefs out there and deserves all of the attention, praise, and accolades that are sure to come his way. I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next. Thank you to everyone at OSTUDIO
I booked a date night dinner reservation here on a whim and it ended up being one of the most unexpectedly delicious meals in the year I've been in New York. The chefs rotate, and the night we went we had the most delicious Thai food from the chefs behind Little Grenjai. The vibe inside felt like that perfect mix of effortless, refined, and unfussy—especially because the staff were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. I can't wait to come again with friends.
Super delicious and quaint with friendly staff! The perfect spot for drinks with a friend or a vegetable-focused dinner with someone special. Plenty of vegetarian options and a few vegan options- the maitake mushrooms with seaweed butter were out of this world AMAZING (definitely get those if you can!) overall I’d definitely come back! Plus you can check out their ceramics shop in the back
Unique, authentic and very inspiring atmosphere. A place where you wanna go for breakfast and stay all day throughout all the experiences, pop-up chef dinners from all over the world, amazing coffee, their aperitivo time — all! A creative collective-coffee-restaurant-shop where you will feel home.
This is a pretty interesting spot! It’s one part wine bar, one part restaurant, one part art studio and showroom - the wine is the star here imo, and it’s worth checking out for a drink and a little bite. The food is yummy for sure, but definitely felt too expensive for what it was and how much of it you get. I’m planning to go back for the wine!
Tried O Studio a couple of weeks ago. It's a trendy wine bar with tasty bites and a chill hipster vibe. Love that they have a rotating chefs. On this visit we ordered the following: -- Burrata -- must order! The Burrata was topped with a salty fermented black bean paste that gave it a kick of salt and umami. The veggies were plentiful, and we'll dressed with lemon juice, salt and olive oil. -- Potatoes and anchovies -- my favorite dish! Also a little lemony and balances well with the anchovies. -- Little gems with cashews and ponzu -- my first time with a cashew dressing and it was creamy but light. The plate was pulled high with free lettuce. It was good but a little over dressed. -- the clams -- It was ok, I was expecting a bigger dish. It was briney/ocean forward with the seaweed and caviar. Warning, not a full "entree" -- halibut -- also just ok to me. The fish itself could have used more seasoning but the greens and little peppers gave it the flavor and kick it needed. -- flan -- just ok, the favors were light but the texture could be creamier. It was more firm than I like flan to be. Presentation was also a little lacking. There was a chicken pho on the menu that I wish I had tried. Service was strong 3/4 of the way through the meal but fell off towards the end. Food came out slower and we had to flag the waiter a few times. I'm not sure if the gigantic chocolate bar is something everyone got or us because of the wait towards the end but it was a nice gesture. We'll be back and looking forward to trying another night with another chef.
Very cozy and crafty decor, back has a pottery craft studio. The food is normal, it's nothing that will blow you away but good to have with drinks. Portions are quite small for the price tag, I think there's better places in Brooklyn for a similar experience with better food.
Went here on a date a month or so ago and I'm not super impressed. This place touts a bespoke atmosphere, excellent wine and a small menu of finely crafted dishes meant to pair perfectly together. First the good things: The service is great. People are sweet, the wine recommendations were delicious. I got their briefly after they opened and had a nice conversation with one of the servers. The atmosphere is cool! It's definitely a "hip" and pintrest board vibe that feels like a less-sterile art gallery. It's almost as if the space itself is asking "do you think I'm cool?" Don't worry ostudio, you're cool. Now for the less than savory: I'm judging the food entirely based on the vegetarian options they had that day. They did not have many. Maybe the menu changes (I do know they have a guest chef every so often) but when I was there, the Maitake mushroom dish and the salad they had that day were really under-seasoned and the portions were terrifically small for the price given. I'm willing to pay for small portions if it's good food. I don't mind the bespoke tasting menu experience if it actually holds up, but I don't think this food was genuinely as good as what you could get at Winona's down the street for a similar price point and better atmosphere. My thought is: if you're trying to attract a young and hip crowd (oftentimes a crowd that leans vegetarian) to your art-gallery-wine-pairing-gastro-'experience', why are your veggie options sub-par?
While the atmosphere is fun and inviting, the dinner service left a lot to be desired. At the price point OSTUDIO sits, I believe there are other superior choices within this category for small plates and wine (ie Four Horsemen or Place Des Fetes). None of the dishes from our order stand out (sourdough, beef tartare, prawn, and the pork cheek). All of which we felt were below average. The service was okay, but left no lasting impressions or reason to return.
Was looking forward to dining here. Something came up the day before and we tried multiple times to call and cancel with no answer. We did cancel via the app the day of the reservation but they charged us $60 for this and were unwilling to waive the fee (after emailing with them back and forth explaining how difficult it was to reach someone). I understand that small businesses have to be strict with cancellation policies but after sending screen shots of my call log and still being forced to pay the fee, I won’t be giving this restaurant another shot. As a hotel manager myself, it feels like Ostudio focuses on revenue over customer experience.
