I placed an order with Frankie’s today, and they were a little backed up because of all the orders they had. The management team was very accommodating and apologetic when my food came out late. I truly appreciate their professionalism and hospitality. The food was amazing, and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for the great service!
This was my first time at Frankies and the service was exceptional. Desa, my waitress was very hospitable and kind. The steak, penne à la vodka, and sauted spinach were well cooked and delicious. The tiramisu was the best that I have ever had. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
The food is so good! I had the gnocchi alla vodka ( best vodka sauce) with shrimp (that was perfectly seasoned) our server Sylvie was wonderful! 10/10!
First time here and waiter Dessa Was amazing she recommended a lot of people’s favorites. The meatballs were very soft, tender juicy moist. We’re not dry. You could tell they were fresh the vodka sauce. We had to order two plates of those because it was good with the dipping of the bread if they clam it was like I couldn’t even explain it. You just have to come here yourself definitely will come back again.
Dessa was the most delightful server at this Arthur Avenue legend. The salads were crisp and flavorful, delicious chicken limon, lasagna, orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, fresh made personal pie pizza. All ingredients are locally sourced. Lovely ambience with jazz and stained glass light fixtures make it a perfect date place. A total keeper!
Loved dining at Frankie's! The food and atmosphere were amazing, and Desa and Sylvie made the experience great. I had the chicken a la vodka and it was delicious. Will be sure to come back next time i'm in New York!
From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel completely at home. Everything felt truly homemade—from the care put into each dish to the warm atmosphere. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with pride, not rushed or mass-produced. The service was extremely attentive without ever feeling overbearing, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. A place where you can tell heart and hospitality come first. We will absolutely be back.
My 12-year-old son wanted fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and originally asked to go to Olive Garden, but I told him, “Let’s try something authentic.” We ended up at Frankie’s Restaurant on Arthur Avenue, and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and welcoming. The staff immediately made room for the three of us and treated us with genuine kindness and attention throughout our meal especially our server Sylvie (hope it’s spelled correctly). The food, starting from the appetizers all the way to the main courses, was absolutely delicious. My son, who is usually pretty picky, even tried new appetizers because everything smelled so amazing. He ended up loving them! What stood out just as much as the food was the family-friendly environment. It truly felt like eating in someone’s home, kids enjoying their meals, laughing, running around a bit, and the staff never once got upset. They let the children be children, and it created such a warm, comforting vibe. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Frankie’s is definitely going to become one of our regular spots.
Came all the way from Brooklyn to go to the Bronx Zoo and found this amazing restaurant to go to afterwards. The ambiance is chic, rustic and cozy. The food is absolutely delicious. The fried calamari was perfectly fried, the lobster ravioli was soooo yummy, and I enjoyed the pepperoni hot honey pizza as well. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. My passion fruit margarita was really good too, as were the espresso martini, cheesecake and pistachio ice cream. I highly recommend this hidden gem and will definitely return next time I’m in the area.
I was here on Saturday after making reservations for my wedding anniversary dinner. My husband has been dying to come here for a while and it didn’t disappoint. It was very busy on Saturday and i was so glad i made reservations. After checking in, we were seated right away. The owner Nick came and introduced himself and brought us a bottle to celebrate. We were given garlic knots as well and they were sooo good and fresh. We ordered Caesar salads, i had cacio e Pepe with shrimp and my husband had bolognese with meat sauce. Everything was made to perfection and fresh! We also ordered one of each dessert which were both phenomenal. There was a group of people that came in singing making the night more fun and romantic. They are a cash only restaurant which is important to keep in mind. We didn’t know this and my husband had to take money out of their on-site atm but this is something to know ahead of time for sure. The restaurant is clean, the bathrooms were super clean! This is a small intimate location but well worth it! I already can’t wait to come back and i thank the staff and owner for a great 10th anniversary dinner to remember !
Absolute top notch Bronx Pizza and staple Italian food at its best. Literally the best spaghetti and meatballs I think I've ever had, and the chicken alla vodka pie will blow you away. We got uber eats delivery so the pictures are merely a reflection of the food being on a bicycle for 40 minutes, but I assure you the flavor and quality did not disappoint!
Frankie’s is your quintessential New York neighborhood Italian restaurant. Wine bottles on the walls, “brick” line walls, and those wonderful, heavy wooden tables. The service is great and we never had to wait more than a few minutes before someone from their attentive staff checked on us. The warm house bread is delicious, but not served with the usual plate of olive oil and cracked pepper, so we asked for them and were given olive oil and parmesan which turned out to be a nice pairing for the bread. For a starter we shared the pear salad, which was delicious. I avoided the feta, but didn’t mind the slight sharp flavor the smaller crumbles provided. The candied walnuts were flavorful and the pear slices were delicious. I also enjoyed the vinaigrette. This was a great starter. My dining companions ordered the shrimp pasta (mildly spicy) and lasagna. Both had a great flavor. Frankie’s sauce game is on point. I ordered the broccoli rabe and added mushrooms (highly recommended if you’re a fungi fan). The sausage was flavorful and the dish was well oiled. Hopefully the leftovers will retain the flavor. I suggest making reservations, especially if the weather is nice.
This place was a hidden gem! I don’t give out 5 stars easily, but this spot absolutely deserves it. Conveniently located not far from the highway exit, with plenty of easy parking—even on a Monday evening. We arrived around 6:30 PM and were seated immediately. They started us off with complimentary garlic knots, and wow—so good! We ordered the pear salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken alla vodka. Every dish was excellent—flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and our food came out quickly. I’d definitely come back again—highly recommend!
Introduced some friends to the Little Italy known as Arthur Ave, and they were bedazzled by the carby-ness of it all. Frankie's was pretty much the perfect capper to a day of tomatoes and herbs, with its cozy brick walls, low lighting and oodles of pasta options. Throw in the servers with Rat Pack-type accents, and what's not to love? We gorged on: - Spicy Rigatoni Alla Vodka: Proper white-people spicy too, with plenty of calabrian chili to make my tongue sing Verdi - Orrechiette Sausage Broccoli Rabe: Among the heartiest of the most popular pasta offerings, and one of my personal favs. This one was loaded with sausage and greens, which married perfectly with all that rabbit ear-shaped gluten - Spaghetti Aglio e Olio: For the little one in our crew, who promptly fed her forehead as much as she fed her mouth. K, to be fair, I tried some when she wasn't looking, and *I* would've fed my forehead too if I didn't know any better Shrimp Fra Diavolo: My din din, loaded with juicy, plump, jumbo shrimp and enough spicy linguine marinara to spray the walls with my slurping. All the yums. - Trio Pizza: A joint venture for us all, with enough slices of the tri-colored tomato, vodka and pesto-sauced pie to satisfy everyone's Domino's craving. Service was direct but friendly, esp. with an adorable toddler getting all the fawns. Les amis have already asked me to bring them back.
Delicious authentic Italian fare! Vodka sauce was delicious. Waitress Sylvie was very attentive and gave me great suggestions. Tiramisu, oh my God! the atmosphere is cozy and warm.
Had a nice lunch here with friends. Ordered calamari which was lovely, a few pasta dishes, the trio pizza. The vodka pasta sauce is honestly delicious, but the sausage and broccoli pasta sauce tasted quite bland, just tasted of broc and stock. Service is good though, very accommodating. Would come back.
I haven’t been around Little Italy in a while, and after hearing about Frank’s, I decided to stop by with my family. The atmosphere was great — warm, welcoming, and the staff was very attentive with excellent service. The appetizers were really good as well. Where things fell short for us was the main course. We all ordered something light, but unfortunately the dishes came heavily over-sauced, which made them salty and hard to truly enjoy. I think with a lighter hand on the sauce and salt, the meals would have been much better. Also, if you order pasta and plan to add a side of meat (chicken, sausage, shrimp, etc.), I personally wouldn’t recommend it. For the price, the portion was basically a small sauce cup filled with meat — definitely not worth it. Overall, everything else — the service, atmosphere, and starters — was great, but the heavy sauce and salt on the entrées just weren’t for us.
