This is the go-to burrito spot for everyone in this neighborhood for a reason. With all the new hype around who makes the best tortillas, these guys are criminally underrated - they're soft, fresh, almost crepe-y. Great Mission-style burritos (or bowl, tacos, or nachos, whatever your pleasure is) with bonus points for the option to go "baby burrito" size AND the free unlimited salsa bar. Amazing hospitality from the owner whenever he works the counter. Very glad this spot exists!
It feels redundant even writing this review given how widely loved Bkyln Burro is. This spot hits with a burrito that I think I've had more than any other since living in the neighborhood. They pack it tight, with always fresh staples like rice and beans and incredibly tasty guac. My go to is the C.hill Rey (chile relleno) w/ pinto beans—and chips and guac on the side. And since the chips are so good, you should check out their variety of homemade salsas. Some of them are wayyy too spicy for me lol, but my friends w/ higher spice tolerance love them. If I'm ever lost about what to eat for dinner, or in a slight hurry and just need something reliable, Bklyn Burro is a no-brainer.
Burro is a staple in my house, we either dine in or carry out every couple weeks. We always bring visitors from out of town here too. The service is great, particularly the owner, who goes above and beyond with the hospitality!
Pepe and the amazing team make this place totally worth the visit. The food is amazing, especially the tacos. And don't sleep on the amazing hand made salsa bar. This isn't pour and serve, it's family recipe, call yo momma kind of amazing salsa. And the back heated searing area makes it delight. Hit up the spicy marg to make your lips and liver tingle at the same time. Buen trabajo amigos!
Absolute must visit for Mexican food in NYC! Fantastic food (including some great veggie and vegan options, definitely recommend the nachos) and even better service. Owner is really lovely and went above and beyond to make the visit exceptional. Also very nice seating options out the back. Can’t recommend this place enough!
Amazing customer service. Manager went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing experience 🙏❤️ Food is delicious consistent and large portion. They even give green onions and a couple tortillas with your burrito bowl which I was pleasantly surprised with! Best bang for your buck for sure 😋 I had the carne asada bowl which was so filling and tasty.
One of my favorite burritos in New York City! Fast, so yum, and always a hit. Chicken or birria are my go to! Also great hot sauce. The first time I came here I was like “okay! It’s good time” and food time it was. Outside in the back for sitting and quick service.
Tasty burrito with quality ingredients. I got the picadillo burrito with everything on it and it was absolutely delectable. They give you little containers so you can choose your own sauces and the mango habanero is a must try. Theres a lovely outdoor sitting area in the back but it was too packed to sit down. The music they were playing was lit. They also give you a little baggie of tortilla chips and they are nice.
seriously delicious and hefty burrito, my favorite spot by far since moving back from LA, this spot is reliably high quality, with tons of variety and down to earth pricing. today i ordered a burrito to go after working at a yoga studio nearby and the manager gave me free chips while i waited, was friendly and chatted with me and another customer at the bar in the front of the store. it was so nice to get real, personable service with eye contact and warmth, not just a shelf or ipad, this place is the best!
Delicious!!! There’s nothing not to love. The service was quick and friendly. The place is clean. The salsas were delicious and spicy (and not just tomato salsa). I can’t wait to go back. High praise for a Mexican person who has a hard time finding food as good as it is in the homeland. The ingredients were fresh and flavors vibrant. Gracias BRKLYN BURRO!
Been here last year & loved it. Colorful decor, a wide choice of tasteful Mexican food and the quality is great (had veggie tacos). Appreciated the friendly & helpful guy who offered to explain the menu to us & checked in with us now and then. The beer (colorful cans) is dope and I'll certainly come back next year when I visit!
If I could give 100 stars I would. Stumbled upon this place by accident. The staff was so helpful and patient I couldn’t decide on what to get changed my mind a couple times because everything just looked soooo good. I wound up getting a quesadilla with the extra cheese cooked on top of it. Came with chips and salsa. And enjoyed a Michelada with my meal. Totally affordable and the atmosphere is cute.
I’ve been coming here for the past few years since moving to the neighborhood and this spot has been a staple whenever we eat out. The food is reasonably priced and the flavors are always solid. The chips are perfectly fried and salsa bar is excellent and both come complimentary with your order. The only thing holding this spot back in my opinion unfortunately is the staff’s attitude towards those complimentary staples. I’ve felt they can be pretty consistently stingy when it comes to to-go containers for the salsa or reluctance to giving additional servings of chips with multiple entrees. It’s not lost on me that running a restaurant in NYC comes with tight margins, but it does leave a sour impression when something is offered as complimentary and then consistently skimped on. My hope is the owner can receive this feedback and provide a level of service that matches the quality of the food.
Been getting into breakfast burritos lately and I had to stop by here to see what they got going on! I got a breakfast burrito and three tacos with a horchata (Not pictured). The horchata was good, i’ve had a couple and this one is different because it tasted more like Jugo de Avena which wasn’t bad but it was interesting to me. The tacos were really good, I will say for me though, I would’ve liked the packaging to be bigger and not had to deal with the taco wrapping so that I wouldn’t have to get messy but that’s not really an issue, just sharing my thought there. The breakfast burrito was really solid! I don’t like chorizo too much and few foods do the trick for me to like it but everything went together perfectly! The customer service was great and very friendly. Hardworking guys in the kitchen cooking up good food with great energy! Sauce bar in the back to help yourself. Twas a pleasure to try this place!
Asking us to purchase something so my 4 year old kiddo can use you the bathrooms - that is not the kind of business I want to support in my neighborhood 👎🏻 Your burritos aren’t good btw, the ingredients are not well seasoned and the food is too mild.
It's a pretty bad store. The food hygiene is quite poor. There are a few curly hairs in the burrito🤮
Ordered from Seamless. No option to add basic salsa to this dry, mostly rice filled burrito. Even called to ask them to include salsa, and it didn’t make it on the order. Burrito is tiny. Not flavorful. Don’t believe the hype.
Objectively the worst burrito I’ve ever had in my life. They somehow invented the blandest burrito on planet earth. It tastes like every ingredient was poured straight out of the can and not even cooked
