Super tasty food, of you like traditional buffet style Latin food. Extremely cheap and huge portions! Sometimes there is a language barrier somewhat, but everyone understands each other whenever food's involved.

I had recently visited this restaurant after not coming for many years and a member of the staff was able to recognize me and paid me a compliment on my weight loss . This place is a 10/5. A very unassuming place and one that goes in the list of what we've heard- "New York is full of surprises". Food is fresh and delicious. We were a bunch of friends who are from the southern state in India- Kerala, and food here had so much overlap with what we get there. We were in for a surprise and treat! The coffee is great here too. Oh, and the price.. 4 of us ate as big a breakfast as can be and it cost us $23 Whether you are from Kerala or not, do not miss going to Jenny's!

For good spanish food on the go Jenny 2 restaurant is awesome and these are the reasons. The food is not salty at all very tasty. One can taste all other condiments, not overbearing well manged in taste. Their seafood doesn't taste fishy at all. Their price went up just like everything else in live but Jenny 2, the restaurant the food is worth every penny, awesome food made by Dominicans.

Love this place. The bake chicken and stew chicken lunch is a great deal. $6 for a bunch of really tasty chicken over rice and beans, and they give you enough that it could really be 2 big meals, 3 if you stretch it. Oh and don’t forget to cover it with a bunch of their hot sauce. YUM.

Jenny's Coffee Shop #2 is the best Dominican food you'll find in Crown Heights. They have typical NYC Dominican fare served in a hot bar. While the food is decent, the big attraction is the portion size. You can get a mountain of yellow rice, smothered in beans, with a healthy portion of pernil or baked chicken for under $8. There's limited seating, and no table service. A great place to get a quick and filling meal.

The food overall is fire but I decided to try pancakes one day and they are AMAZING. They also have French toast, which is made with regular bread but somehow it’s still better than many places I’ve tried before.

Update: 11/20/2025. To the chef making the pancakes 🥞 When I say NO BUTTER can you PLEASE NOT put butter?! The pancakes are good, but the butter ruins the taste. Update: 10/19/2024. I stopped ordering the plantains for a while because the person cooking them wasn’t draining them on tissue. Just placing them in a plastic container with a whole LOT of grease. I’m happy to say I had an order today & the plantains were perfect. They were NOT greasy like it was dipped in a vat of oil. Thank you for listening to your customers. Heart attacks are real! I do not know WHYYYYY they let the 2 ladies answer the phone. THEY CAN NOT SPEAK ENGLISH!!!! It is EXTREMELY frustrating to tell them your order & they either don’t understand you or YOU don’t understand them!! PLEASE GET PPL WHO SPEAK & UNDERSTAND ENGLISH BETTER THAN THOSE 2 ladies!! If you place an order over the phone you have to struggle to understand the 2 ladies that answer & guess what?…. They don’t understand you either unless you speak Spanish to them. I’m not fluent but luckily I do speak a little. That’s the ONLY way I’m able to get my order through. If you have a business & the ppl who answer the phone can barely speak English to take your order, it gets very frustrating!!! They are nice but it sounds like they are speaking Spanish even when they speak English. I changed my review to 4 stars based on that !

Jenny's is pretty good, I used to have an issue with the staff but they've seem to be more focused, aware and friendly lately, the food here is fresh, always, and there's always multiple options, I also cannot argue with the prices, they're certainly not pricey nor are they stingy. I mean as far as local eateries and Spanish establishments goes in crown heights, they're definitely one of the best! I got a grilled chicken sandwich two days ago that was delish, fresh peppers, onions, tomatoes on a toasted roll, $5 and worth every penny! I took a bite before I captured it, sorry, the scent was overwhelming 😁🤷🏽‍♂️

Been coming to the place for years great food however, my qualm with this establishment is that they try to force you to pay for food on order that they made mistakes on. Shouldn't be getting charged extra because you failed to take the order correctly. I'm not down for that dubious behavior

This restaurant use to have really good food like 20 years ago its been a while since I got something from here and it was delicious. Even the half and half drinks has changed in quality taste.

This shop is a great spot for a delicious gourmet bagel topped with cream cheese and bacon. Although I'm unsure of the bagel's origin, the shop offers a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options and remains open at all times. While I wouldn't recommend the pricey coffee, it's a good place for a fast meal where you'll likely enjoy most of the offerings. The side order was a bit too oily, but on other occasions, it was perfectly done. Overall, it's a mixed experience, but it's worth considering for a quick and satisfying meal."

Ordered via Uber Eats. I didn't receive what I ordered which was supposed to be Eggs, Salami, Cheese & Sausage Platter. The cheese was replaced with another sausage that I did not ask for. In addition, the mangu was dry, barely had onions, and the salami tasted weird. The eggs were the only enjoyable part of this meal. Oh, and I got someone elses food thrown in my bag, whoever Justin is... I'm sorry.

This might be a perfectly decent place for a decent breakfast. But it's not a coffee shop: the coffee is dark, lukewarm water. No flavor at all. There's not much seating, so better for take out. I'm not much for eggs, so I thought I would order the shrimp & rice, and I had to ask for it several times in several ways before finally turning the sign around for the guy to realize I was asking for something they apparently had on special the day before. The current special was catfish and potato, which the guy said was "really good" -- but to my taste it was chewy and probably about 30% salt. Inedible. On the plus side, it's cheap. I didn't waste a lot of money learning this lesson.

Let me start by saying I decided to give them a try big mistake the mangu I ordered was tasteless no taste whats so ever had to add salt which I never had to do in my life and too soupy salami paper thin I told them egg cooked just a lil runny the did the opposite had it all runny I also ordered chicken for the afternoon no taste and dry terrible 1st and last time I will order from them .

Today I ordered corn beef hash eggs and cheese grits with toast delivery, my toast had to be from yesterday very stale & hard, my grits were not hot cheese wouldn't melt & grits were not fully cooked they were watery. The corn beef hash was not cooked all the way just enough to heat them up. My order came within 20 minutes of calling, usually it takes longer. Very disappointed today that was the worse service I ever got from you guys. Toast couldn't even rip apart it was so stale, 😣

Then I arrive at the store she doesn't know the order . The customer service has gotten worse here. They can't multi task . Your call in orders are just as important as the walk in. I will take my money to another restaurant . Been in the area to long for the horrible service.

I just moved in the area, and went on google in search of a Spanish restaurant. Driving distance is 11 minutes so I payed no thought in thinking distance would be an issue. After asking for my address MULTIPLE TIMES, they still took my order and said they would deliver. I get 5 different phone calls from the delivery guy, oh it’s too far, what’s your address? Now I’m like how are you asking for my address, after I already provided it to the restaurant. Sure enough, 15 minutes later I get a phone call from the restaurant that the delivery guy said it was too far. It’s 29 minutes away on bike. So I asked her, why would you ask me for address multiple times and still take my order. She proceeds to repeat the same thing, it’s too far! I simply said okay and hung up. Super unprofessional and the whole interaction was pointless and could have simply been avoided had common sense been used.

I placed an order at 10am, by 11 it still wasn’t delivered. I was told the delivery guy got the address mixed up. After 30 more minutes, I called and got told a different story about 13 orders going out in a car. I waited another 30 minutes and still no delivery. I spoke to the woman and she said give them 10 minutes and if no delivery, call back (I only live 3 blocks away). After 10 minutes I get no response, I kept calling over and over and. I response. I finally walk over after waiting 3 hours for my order and they are CLOSED! Worst service s ever!
