The server Joe was wonderful. He's very knowledgeable and attentive and made great suggestions for which food and beverages to try, considering that it was our first time there. The food is delicious and the restaurant is very decorative and classy. We will definitely eat here again!
Living in Fort Worth, I haven’t eaten here in a long time, although last time I did it was excellent. My review is on customer service… My parents were headed there yesterday evening to celebrate my dad’s birthday with friends. I called very last minute to see if they could send a bottle of champagne to the table. Despite the short notice, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate the request, ensuring every detail was perfect. In an era where outstanding service is increasingly rare, Christopher's commitment to making their dining experience special deserves recognition. Many thanks to their team for their exceptional service and for making my dad's birthday celebration memorable. Kudos!
Love this place! We came for our anniversary and we were treated like royalty. They gave great menu suggestions and wine pairings for what we ordered. The food was incredilble and the dessert was off the charts! Will definetly be back.
Amazing experience at Christopher's! The service, food and ambiance were exceptional. You can tell there is a chef in the kitchen. This is definitely our go to restaurant in College Station!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary for the first time at this restaurant. We never splurge like this. we were hoping it would be amazing. And Christopher's did not disappoint. Our server Pablo was amazing. He was on point with everything I would expect from a high end restaurant. The food was delicious and everything we hoped it would be and more. The prices were also as expected and not super crazy expensive. We would highly recommend to friends and family. Even strangers lol! Thank you Pablo for a great experience.
My husband & I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary here and we were blown away by the service, the food & the ambiance. We also loved learning about the history of the restaurant & the owner. What a pleasant experience!
FIVE stars all the way across the board! The food is LIFE changing! Be prepared, once you have had Christopher’s Filet, you’ll never be able to eat a filet any where else! It will ruin you for all other steak houses! lol The ambiance of the restaurant is top notch! The low light in combination with the back in time music, really sets you up for a romantic evening. JUST GO! Right now!
I went to Christopher's with a group of 15; however, the service was fantastic. The food was wonderful, flavorful, and fresh. If you have a special event or just want to treat yourself, go there.
Wonderful experience! Thank you Christopher's World Grill for making our son's graduation day so special. Food and service was outstanding. Everyone in our party loved their food and cocktails. Our waiter was very attentive. We could have not asked for a better place to celebrate. We just found our new favorite restaurant in Aggieland when we are back in town!!! Can't wait to come back!!!
Outstanding food and service, well worth checking out!
Great place for a date or anniversary dinner. Service is the best in town! See you again soon.
Went on a date night here last Friday and everything was AMAZING. I was a little worried because of some of the negative reviews. Had originally planned on heading to Republic but so glad we ended up here instead! Our server, I believe her name was Lori?, was beyond helpful! So nice and so patient! Answered every question we asked. I had the house filet and it was beyond perfect. Was so much better than the wagyu filet I had ordered last time I was at Republic. Every sauce had a place on that dish. Best meal I have ever had. My husband had the ribeye that was on special and said it was great. The flourless chocolate cake is a must have! The entree portions are real portions. Not the fine dining sizes but a real serving. We left stuffed and didn’t regret spending a penny!
We always enjoy the place! Last night we sat at the bar. Great conversation with both bartender! I had Ol Forester birthday bourbon which was awesome 👌! The pasta off menu special with the shrimp app was absolutely amazing! Oh and dessert 🍨! WOW. Great dinner. Great staff. Great time!
The best restaurant in College Station, and I think it is the best steakhouse anywhere in Texas. Definitely get the Ms. Pham eggrolls to start and then all the steaks are phenomenal. The fish is good but the steaks are perfect. It is probably the most expensive restaurant in town, but the prices are low for the quality. In Dallas or Houston, you would easily pay twice this much for the same food.
Christopher's is the kind of unique restaurant where you can go often for lunch or only occasionally for something special and each time is memorable. They have wait staff but a more appropriate term would probably be 'attendant.' Ours was Austin, a cheerful fellow who made sure or anniversary dinner was a scrapbook-worthy event. Everything on the menu sounded mouth-wateringly delicious but when Austin said there were a few off-menu choices our ears perked right up! We had the lobster & shrimp pasta (spicy!) and the sea bass (off-menu, and super-tasty). Both were amazing and it looked like at least one person at every table in our room had the bass, so that's how popular it was. We went shortly after opening so it was quiet, but even as it got busier conversation remained effortless. Dessert was cheesecake (pictured) and chocolate truffle something with their unique flair. Sure, the meal was a touch pricy but it was so very, very worth it.
If you are looking for a very classy place to enjoy fantastic food with vintage vibes this is the place! If I could give 6 Stars I would, not a single complaint whatsoever! Our server Jeremy was extremely attentive, not suffocating, very professional and polite! Thank you Jeremy for making my wife and I’s anniversary special!
We have been going to this restaurant for the last 15-20 years to celebrate our birthdays, our anniversaries, entertaining friends etc. we used to consider this place to be top notch. Even our last visit at the end of last year was fantastic. But last week, when we went to celebrate a friend's birthday, the food was terrible and was placed on a cheap Mexican dinner plate. Not only that an unnecessary number of veggies were on the plate. There was no presentation for a top notch restaurant. They increased the entree prices on the average of $10-$15. Most of the new entrees are $50+. Should have gone to other newer high end restaurants.
The waiter Joe was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and attentive, and made great suggestions for dishes and drinks to try, even though it was our first time there. The food was delicious, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and classy.
My wife and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Christopher’s, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was elegant and inviting, the meal was absolutely fantastic, and the soft background music added just the right touch without overpowering our conversation. As an added touch, our server brought out a beautifully decorated dessert with a handwritten message wishing us a happy anniversary—completely unprompted, simply because she had asked about the occasion when we first sat down. That thoughtful gesture made an already memorable evening even more special.
Tuesday evening dinner, restaurant was unusually empty, so service from the kitchen and waiter was excellent. The waiters here are a cut above the rest - if you have a specialty drink in mind, don't hesitate to ask. A Manhattan made with Cognac was excellent. I have been here several times for different occasions, the leadership team does a great job for consistent job in "food-performance", and service.
First time to Christopher’s and had a great meal. Staff was polite and courteous. Everyone working said hello and goodnight as we left. Waiter was great and had an amazing mustache too! I had a ribeye that was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Everything from the appetizers to the sides were perfect. My first time, but will not be my last!
Christopher's is SUCH a special place.. Everytime I have been here, the food is absolutely WONDERFUL. I've been to quite the number of restaurants out there.. and Christopher's 100% is my top 3. The service is always nothing less than spectacular, the House Filet is THE best steak/presentation I've ever had.. and the dessert selection; well it's just hard to find any better... The place feels like home when you walk in, not giving off a huge restaurant vibe until you see the tables and the bar. I come as much as I am able to and never leave unsatisfied ❤️ This is a restaurant you NEED to try.
My husband and I went here and it was wonderful! The staff were kind and respectful, our waiter Elise was on top of everything. For our appetizers we tried the Brie cheese and I loved the mango jam with it. For entrees, we got the South American Steak and Salmon wrapped with bacon. Both were so good! The Salmon dish had a variety of sides including veggies (we loved the sweet potato)! The Steak came with veggie enchiladas which were tasty and I loved the corn. For dessert we got the chocolate truffle with vanilla ice cream (I highly recommend the vanilla ice cream), and they even wrote a nice note in chocolate on our plate. Thank you for the lovely time!
Randie, thank you for making my dinner special and being a great waitress! Your kindness will definitely be remembered and valued! My friend and I were heightened with energy and you allowed us to enjoy ourselves freely! S/O to Jillian as well for assisting and ensuring our dinner was PERFECT! Speaking of perfect, my friend was allergic to shrimp/shellfish and Randie ensured her meal was safe! OUTSTANDING SERVICE & FOOD. Great memory for my last day in Bryan, TX!
This quiet location has a very unassuming house that has a treasure of wonderful and delightful treats for all to enjoy. A once ranch house, converted into a fine dining venue with an unassuming atmosphere the experience is stunning. From the wonderful host who graciously shows you to one of the varied room where you shall be indulged in excellence in service and amazing flavors. Our waiter Ethan was attentive, informative, and fun. I shall not miss this location each visit to College Station. It is my new "must go to..."
We came here to celebrate our 15th anniversary. They did a great job of making the evening special. Service was very attentive and helpful without being pushy or overbearing. And, of course, the food was fantastic. The snapper my wife had was the particular highlight of the meal. This is s great place to go for a special meal.
Never disappoints! Everything is always on point. Atmosphere, service, and food are always top notch. Perfect for a date night, we love it.
The Crab Cake was okay the soup was good and the duck dish was delicious they gave me a free desert that was nice...The desert was personalized that added a friendly touch. They gave me a tour which was nice...
Wow, incredible food at an unmatched price point. When I see “seafood and steak” restaurant, I usually cringe because the entrees tend to be unbalanced. The chefs tend to overly rely on expensive ingredients or fat/salt. Not here! This was different, it’s like an elevated and creative version of Steak 48 or Masraffs. I ordered their special, a striped sea bass wrapped in a corn husk, topped with grilled shrimp and zucchini, corn, and black beans on the side. It was delicately seasoned, like a meal you could eat every night. The decor is nice, but it’s an accompaniment to the food, as it should be. It’s the best restaurant in BCS and I’ll be back.
After one visit, Christopher's World Grille is my new favorite restaurant. I can afford to eat anywhere and have dined at many fine restaurants in the world, but Christopher's is at the top of the list. The reception staff was down-to-earth friendly and polite, yet professional - not a phone in sight. The food - from appetizer to main course to dessert - was perfectly prepared to the liking of my entire family. The star of the show? Jeremy, our waiter. He was exceptional from start to finish. Proactive, prompt, polite. Jeremy is an expert, a true professional. And we are eager to visit Christopher's again!
I have to say, this was one of the best, if not the best place I have been to for dinner! For starters, the menu choices were awesome and interesting, I wanted to try everything! Food, drink, and service was just awesome, will definitely be back there when in the area! You definitely will not be disappointed!
Went here with a group of 9. We had reservations, and were seated immediately. It looked like a pretty busy Friday. The servers were good, attentive and helpful. It was a first time for all of us, so it was interesting to hear that the main chef creates sauces first and then the dish. It's a new experience for a lot of us. Anyway, just about everyone went with either Red Fish or Snapper (one hold out for beef tips) and no one was disappointed. The seafood was excellent and the sauces were really good without being over bearing. Wine menu wasn't bad and we were able to find a couple bottles that weren't ridiculously expensive but still were neutral enough for us all. Dessert was very good. We shared 4 across the table. Everyone had their favorite but we're otherwise impressed with it all.
Went for our 10 year anniversary. Wonderful experience and service was top notch! Bleu filet for me and my wife had the tenderloin. Truly unforgettable memories and experience!
We enjoyed the most relaxing date night in a while at Christopher‘s! Thank you to our wonderful server Michael! He recommended a wonderful Sequoia Cabernet Sauvignon and off menu items - which we devoured. Ending the night with the affogato dessert was such a treat, and we look forward to visiting again! Thank you Christopher’s in Bryan TX for a tasty dinner and drinks! We will be back!
Christopher's World Grille is, in my opinion, the best option for fine dining in the BCS area. The food was phenomenal, the cocktails were expertly crafted, and the staff were knowledgeable and engaging. I can't wait to return!
Very good food. A bit on the pricey side but it's incredibly prepared and great flavors. The staff were all attentive and courteous without being overbearing. Some of the layout of the place is awkward because it's an old house, but that does add some charm.
We had a fantastic dinner! Fabulous table service, and a very nice ambiance. Wonderful carbonara Ceasar salad. The house filet was delicious. The port wine demi-glace was amazing!
Came here while visiting college station. Food was great - definitely can recommend the toffee dessert. It is very similar to a sticky toffee pudding for all the Brit’s and the Guinness stout ice cream was awesome. We sat on the porch and had Kevin as our server - he was great! Definitely would recommend if you are in the area and looking for an upscale dinner.
We went here to celebrate a birthday and enjoy family company together. Both the food and the service were exceptional! We all got different steak meals, and everyone was happy with the quality and preparation. My wife and I split our meal, and the portions were generously sized for our appetites.
After a little misunderstanding on Valentine’s Day, Christopher the owner was quick to reach out and invite us back to try the REAL Christopher’s. And let’s just say they did not disappoint. Everything was fabulous from the amazing staff, including our server Rick and manager Rafael, to the DELICIOUS cocktails, food and desserts. Christopher’s is a great place for any occasion. Thank you Christopher for being so amazing and being a leading example for your amazing establishment!
came here to celebrate my dear friend and my chosen grandmother for her birthday! Food was phenomenal, our server, atwood, was so well educated in the menu and specials, he was very kind and a great server overall. will definitely be back for special occasions, brunch and to have that caesar salad again!
Came here for the first time with my wife and friends. We ordered the Delmonico Steak, Beef and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta, and the Bacon Wrapped Salmon. For appetizers, we ordered off their 25th year Anniversary special menu. We ordered the Mrs. Pham’s Vietnamese Spring Rolls and the Smoked Duck and Applewood Quesadillas. They were all very delicious and flavorful. My steak which I ordered a medium, came out perfect. There were parts of the steak that were perfectly medium rare-ish, but weirdly dry and bland. I had to rely on the red wine butter sauce for flavor because I was too embarrassed to ask for some salt lol. Definitely will be back on special occasions because although delicious, it’s still pretty pricey. Our waiter was very friendly and fast. There was a female staff who accidentally spilt (out of all dishes) a little bit of the fish sauce that came with the spring rolls, onto the floor and partially on my feet which made my toes kinda stinky and sticky so that was a bummer. Their ambiance is a bit dim, but beautiful and romantic. Lots of parking and overall great service.
It was pouuuuuring when I came here with a friend. There's plenty of parking space, and the front of the restaurant has a bit of an overhang walkway so you won't get wet too wet if you're dropped off. Once you enter, you walk down a little hallway to come to a hostess who seats you. There was a mishap even though we had a reservation and they took us two separately to different wrong tables before ending upon the right one. They were pretty gracious about it, though so no hard feelings. The restaurant itself is a large space divided up in several different dining areas. It seems like a rich person's home turned restaurant based on the layout and decor. Came here for brunch which I'd never tried before and had the enchiladas which were muy delicioso. Beef Tenderloin Huevos Enchiladas (Fried eggs over stacked beef enchiladas with roasted serrano sauce, pico de gallo and lime sour cream $17.95) First off the bad - the waiter set the plates down making a comment about how their dishes are always perfectly seasoned. The potatoes were grossly underseasoned. So no. But the rest was amazing. The tortillas retained crisp even in all the egg and sauces. The serrano sauce was absolutely lovely - recommend asking for extra on the side when you order it. Lime sour cream gave a nice refreshing touch. And of course the beef tenderloin was savory and cooked perfectly. Before your meal they set down a basket of bread. The house made ones aren't that great in comparison to the store bought ones. Recommend skipping the bread - you save calories and belly space for your stellar meal! I've been here for dinner before and it seemed like a 5 star experience, but that was many, many years ago and I don't remember much at all about it so I will refrain from divulging any further on that.
Wow! I've never eaten at such a fancy place. Food was exquisite! Large portions but super expensive. The waiter seemed a little offended when I asked for ranch dressing for my salad. Lol (I guess I'm too country) They charge extra if you share anything. Regular side salad is $13. I suggest eating the redfish ($35/plate)or smothered steak ($45/plate). The bread pudding dessert was phenomenal.
Beef was ok, but the ice cream was really expensive with the brownie it was $25 I didn't check the price as some dummy samples were brought, I never thought it was going to be that expensive. It was too cold the ac was too high
We had a birthday celebration over there and needless to say the food is good although for some reason my entree which was special of the day was a bit messed up but the manager quickly substituted with the red fish. Out of all the 5 entrees that each one tried, I think redfish was the best. The deserts were quite good and the service was nice and they also brought chocolate covered strawberries as we were there for a special occasion. The restaurant is housed in a century old ranch house. The prices are exorbitantly high though even for the entrees that do not have premium beef.
My daughter rated it as a 50-50. The service was very good, very attentive, but the food for us was mediocre. Presentation was fine, but as an example, the filet had a strange aftertaste that I would akin to Aussie beef. The issue is after spending inummerous times in Asia, that is not a delicacy it is what they can get because they cannot get American beef. Not my favorite for sure.
We’ve dined at Christopher’s World Grille several times, actually hosted our son’s college graduation party here which was absolutely fantastic! Our family has grown and we now live in different parts of the State: Houston, Austin and Waco. Occasionally we will meet at and Christopher’s World Grill as a convenient meeting place for all parties. CWG has a very opulent vibe, perfect for a special occasion or romantic dinner. During most of our visits here we have found the food amazing, cooked to perfection with impeccable service. We have always felt welcomed and valued. Our last experience was disappointing. My husband and I arrived first and were taken to our table. We asked for a high chair, and after being asked where we wanted the chair to be placed, the waiter argued with us, insisting it be placed in the corner. I tried to explain that there were two other children in our party and it would be better for them to be seated between their parents in the corner. It was an embarrassing situation to have him argue with us. He finally relinquished his insistence when I told him we would let his parents decide where they wanted the chair to be placed. This set a bad tone for the rest of our evening. Our appetizers were good, everyone enjoyed them. Then the main entrees arrived. I had ordered my steak medium rare and what I was served was medium. The waiter was quick to take my plate to have another steak cooked. That’s where the “quick” stopped. By the time my entree arrived, everyone else was finishing their meal. This ruined my dining experience, which is why we chose CWG. We later discovered my medium rare steak had been switched with another party at our table. Do Better, CWG. The comfortable, relaxing dining experience with equally wonderful food is why we drive two hours to your restaurant.
We went for our anniversary. I was excited to try it, but ultimately let down. I ordered the special, a ribeye medium rare. Came out medium well. Taste was good, but not what I ordered. Sent it back, next one came out rare. At this point I didn't have time to send it back as my wife was nearly done. It was fine. To miss a medium rare steak twice was not what I was expecting from such a highly regarded place. They did write a fun message on our plate at the end so, 🥳
Overall this is a place you go to once just to say you’ve been. Considering a fine dining experience and price tag, the service was good, but could be improved. We ordered the pork chop and the redfish. The pork chop was delightfully good, with the desire to go back for the next bite each time. My redfish was decently cooked but lacked flavor, the side pairings was a peculiar array of 8 different veggies. The fish was lightly breaded but tasted like it’s been sitting on the window a tad too long, with the breading slightly soggy. We ordered the fondue and it was very hearty with large bits of mushroom and spinach, very tasty but distant from a traditional fondue mouth feel. The cocktails were delightful good, we ordered a peach Bellini, a raspberry mojito, and an old fashioned - all beautifully balanced. For dessert we had the cheesecake and rich chocolate cake, both delightful. Overall, great execution on appetizer, drinks, and dessert, but fell short on the main course. I left feeling like I could have made a better fillet at home for a significantly cheaper price. However, the atmosphere is very elevated and is great to impress a date.
To put it simply, it’s just not worth the price. I’ll start by saying the service was really good. Servers were well informed and attentive to our needs. Definitely satisfactory. The food was fine, but subpar for the price point. Presentation was disorganized and crowded. The steak was undercooked. Everything tasted great, but for what I was paying, I certainly expected more. The drinks were good and well priced. They brought out a platter of deserts after the meal for your eyes to fond over when your stomach has had enough. The post-meal espresso was actually terrible, so if that’s your thing, do not waste your money on that. I’ve had better at the large Seattle-based company. If you want a nice dinner for $100+ per person (after drinks), I’d go somewhere else.
This hot spot was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night. Glad I was able to make a reservation before hand. Was seated quickly once we arrived and was welcomed by our outstanding waitress Kaitlyn. She was able to share the day's specials and make some great recommendations. We started with the redneck cheeseboard and bread. Their wine list was on the smaller side, but they had some home run selections available. I went with the chef fish special. It was plated so well and looked amazing. The whole dish was significantly under seasoned, but not overcooked! Wonderful experience and perfect date night spot.
I can't give this restaurant a good review. We had reservations at 7:30, but were sat in the bar area?!? Now it is 8:30 a we still do not have any food. Can't review what we do not have. After a 2nd request, this time to the manager, we were served. The food was good but not what I expected for the price. We will not be going back.
Went there several years ago. Found a hair embedded within my served food. When I informed them, they coldly denied and suggested I was "scamming" them. No apology or adjustment to the bill.
All of our friends and family have raved about this restaurant and we finally visited last night. The service was very good, but we were so disappointed in the food. We had the eggrolls and they were quite good. However, our steaks were horrible. The meat was tasteless, inconsistently cooked, and did not seem to be the cut of meat we had ordered. The side dishes are not worth mentioning. The best thing we had was dessert. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant and if you’re looking for a fine dining experience, please look elsewhere.
I took my wife there on our anniversary. We were brought two small cups of bisque to taste and a small cup of crab meat. Prob 2 ounces. We frequent nice restaurants in the area but I was charged $40 for the taste of bisque and crab. I prob should have said something but I did not. There are other really nice restaurants in the area to enjoy.
⭐ 1 Star Review I’ve been a loyal customer of Christopher’s World Grille for years, typically visiting 4–5 times a year and spending well over $200 each visit. I’ve always considered it a special place—until my most recent experience, which was not only disappointing but genuinely upsetting. From the moment we arrived (an hour and a half before closing), Patrick treated us like we were an inconvenience. Our server Randie greeted us kindly. Patrick started speaking over her and immediately started snapping and clapping to get us to “order now.” It felt rushed and aggressive—not at all the level of service I’ve come to expect here. I have a serious egg allergy, and when I asked whether a particular dish was safe, the manager gave me the wrong information- then reluctantly checked this finding out he was incorrect. This kind of negligence could have caused a medical emergency. It was careless and made me feel unsafe. We ordered a full meal—two steaks, a salad, dessert, cocktails, a cappuccino—all delicious– we close out and tipped generously. Despite that, the poor treatment continued. The manager even leaned over the bar at one point, loudly telling friends he couldn’t wait to leave and grab a drink. It was unprofessional and made it clear we weren’t welcome. After years of great experiences here, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. It’s incredibly disappointing to be treated this way, especially when I’ve supported this restaurant so many times before. I hope management takes this seriously—because no guest should be made to feel rushed, dismissed, or unsafe.
I’ve been to Christopher’s numerous times and normally get amazing food and excellent service. Last night my wife and I went and received very substandard service and food. My steak came out blue rare when I ordered medium rare. I sent the steak back and received it on a ridiculously hot plate with my steak being technically cooked to the right temperature yet it gained a gummy texture throughout. At many other establishments of this caliber they fully re-make your steak to ensure it is quality but they did not. I spoke with our waiter regarding this as the steak seemed microwaved and he assured me it wasn’t and brought the manager. The manager offered no discount or anything to make it right despite stating the steak wasn’t cooked right and was not at all the quality of what they normally make. Then for dessert they brought us the completely wrong dish and insisted that was what we ordered. We advised them it was not and they reluctantly took it back and got us our correct dish. Overall, management was very dismissive toward us and did nothing to even attempt to right the situation. Unlikely we will return due to this.
