Absolutely loved this place! The food was delicious and the prices were surprisingly affordable. We enjoyed two steak combo meals for just $40. The steaks were juicy and flavorful, and the overall experience was fantastic. I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend it!

On a road trip we decided to stop and have lunch. I am so glad we gave Sodolaks a chance! The restaurant was packed, I think there was maybe two parking spots open. My wife and I fully anticipated a short wait, however we may have waited 2 minutes until we had a table. We immediately noticed Bible scriptures on all the staffs shirt and on the walls, as Christians this really touched us that a restaurant is bold with their faith. Not only do they talk the Christian talk, they walk it out as well. All the staff had smiles on their faces and were super nice! My wife and I ordered the fried pork chop lunch special with pinto beans and fried okra and the Philly cheesesteak with fries. Both dishes were amazing! The portion size was perfect and it may have taken 7 minutes at most from the time we placed our order to the time we got our food. Last but not least for all the food we got plus we purchased another persons meal, it was only $37!!! For 3 meals and drinks that tasted as good as it did, that is an unbelievable deal! We were blown away by every aspect of Sodolaks, I hope God blesses them for their boldness and their attitudes they show toward patrons. We will DEFINITELY be coming back the next time we are in town!

This local spot was recommended. I think is a popular first responder eatery because there were a lot of patches on the wall. So we show up and are pretty much seated immediately. The delay was cause all of our party was not there yet. Once seated, server showed up. Drinkes we're taken and shortly after that the food. Order came in fairly quickly. I had smothered deep fried pork chops with mash. Wife had the CFS with coleslaw, son had chicken over potatoes (C.O.P.) other son and DIL had a steak, daughter had a spicy chicken hoagie and MIL had the CFS also. It was unanimous, food was excellent. The chicken fried steak was actually the best we've ever had. It was tender, well cooked , well breaded, good size and tasty. Well I could say that about all the food. Don't get me wrong, the food was all delicious but I'm a CFS person when possible. Service was a little blah but I guess they're just tired of tourists. They weren't rude just didn't seem happy. But I will be back anyway...haha

A wonderful choice to have a cheap and delicious meal in the Collage station. My friend recommended me to have a try and it was fantastic, the lunch specials have multiple option with 2 sides and a drink, surprisingly it only cost 11 dollars, is amazing! I highly recommended the chicken fried stale😋

It's where the locals eat. Great food at a fair price. I've tried nearly every main entree and side and all is delicious. The steaks are big, flavorful, cooked the way you want it. Chicken fried steak with gravy is amazing. Fried catfish and shrimp hits the spot everytime. No beer is served but try the tea, freshly brewed and ice cold.

A casual, friendly, family place. I got the chicken fried steak which was nothing spectacular compared to other restaurants. Extra rolls cost ya 25 cents. I think the price was too much for what you get. I have heard that the fried pork chops were very good as well as their steaks. The young man waiting on us was absolutely super. Very attentive.

Ms. M and I stopped in to celebrate her birthday and were very please by this restaurant. Since it was a special occasion, we both had steaks and both were outstanding. Sides as well, delicious and service was top notch. We will be back soon.

This was a nice country type place. The atmosphere felt humbling and warm. The waitress was super courteous and answered any questions we had about the menu. My husband ordered a steak and wasn't very happy with it, but we discovered later we don't order steak at this place. The chicken fried steak was where it was at. (Wish we would've gotten it after seeing other people having it) I had the fried catfish. It was seasoned and cooked well, delicious.

Disappointing. Nothing homemade except the vegetables and the meat. Butter? Nope...whipped spread. Mashed potatoes? Instant. Potato salad? From a container. I have no idea what the guacamole is actually made from, but I suspect there is very little avocado in it. And the "salad" that I was given because I didn't want a bunch of Sysco crap for my sides consisted of lettuce, a couple of tomato slices, and a couple of onion slices. Pathetic. Nothing worth taking a picture of so you just get to see the whipped spread. 👎🏻

Tried here once and wife didn’t like it but we gave it another try today and the service was bad. Father in law ordered pork chops and they gave him chicken. The other waiter brought all her people bread but after we got our food and I asked for it then I got bread. Will not come back.

My wife, myself and my daughter came here for my wife's birthday 10-15 minute for wait time not bad but as soon as we get seated we sat for around 20-25 and not one single waitress came to take a drink order, food order, nothing not even to check on us and tell us she was our waitress which is ridiculous because there was people that came in and sat 10 minutes after us and got their drink order taken instantly idk if its cause they were dressed in nice clothes and we were dressed in comfort clothes and looked like we didn't belong but if I could give negative stars i would we definitely got up and left and went to texas roadhouse 😀 And to top it off it was freezing in there

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. I recently visited Sodolaks and ordered the ribeye steak, only to receive it severely undercooked. I was only able to eat about half- the only edible part. When I raised my concern, I was told the owner wasn’t present although our waitress, Windy, agreed the steak was not cooked properly. Because we had eaten a portion of the steak (the half that was cooked properly), they refused to do anything about it - not even a partial credit or a simple apology. When Windy walked away, another employee approached our table, and again, she repeated that half the steak was eaten and she would contact the owner. There was never any apology from anyone for the poor experience. It was brushed off with everyone repeatedly stating the owner, who was not present, had the final say. How can any business operate with staff who are not empowered to make decisions when the owner steps away? Noone came back to check on us after we were told the owner would be contacted, and when I followed up with the cashier on our way out, I was informed that the owner had declined to issue any form of reimbursement solely because we ate part of the dish. That kind of rigid, dismissive response says a lot. This wasn’t about the money - it was about principle and basic customer service. In small towns like this, how you treat people is everything. Word of mouth matters. The food was mediocre, but what really sealed the deal was the poor attitude and lack of accountability. It’s naive to assume your customers don’t have choices - we absolutely do. We brought a party of 10 and none of us will be returning. I hope others consider this review before choosing to dine at Sodolaks. Expect poor service and zero ownership if something goes wrong.
