Folks, I mean, where do I start. Aubrey was legendary. A true connoisseur of the serving craft. They say you get the perfect server every 1,000 years in this business as an owner to employ and as a customer to enjoy. To be honest, I think we may have found her here in this local Aguacates. Words may not even begin to describe the professionalism, charisma and down right selflessness she may have for the sport. I am truly honored to say that I have been served by one of the greats. Gretzky comes to mind as I write this. LeBron comes to mind as well. A multitude of greats spin through my mind like a novels carousel who continues to show me everyone who is the best in their respective field as they compare to the one and only Aubrey who slings one hell of a trip chorizo taco plate. (Shoutout the kitchen staff too, obvi.) On a day of such extravagance, i.e. USA hockey winning the gold medal in the 2026 Olympic Games. I cannot help myself but cherish greatness when I see it. And with that ladies and gentlemen, I will leave you with what I believe to be a true and honest description of my experience of Aguacates on elmwood with thee goat Aubrey as my server. I hope you all get to relive the same euphoria as I have in this 10/10 establishment. Go Sabres

Jordan was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made great recommendations, checked in at the perfect times, and made sure everything was just right without ever being intrusive. Her positive attitude really elevated the whole dining experience. We’ll definitely be back and hope to have Jordan as our server again!

Just went there a couple days ago. The food tasted fresh and everything came out hot. The guac and queso were my favorite. The drinks were strong but still tasted good. Service was fast and staff was excellent. I’d definitely go back.

Food came out extremely fast and tasted delicious. Our server Daniel was very friendly and extremely attentive. He was also very cute as well. Would recommend

Aubrey was fabulous! Very friendly and energetic! Answered all questions that my group had! Service was quick, efficient and no mistakes! Will definitely come back to see Aubrey! Ask for her because she's absolutely amazing!

Excellent food. We're recommended this place by the event organizers of what a show we were in town for. The Weck Burger was amazing, and my partner loved the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Food was 10/10.

I love this place! The food -> OMG so good, the portions are huge and you'll never leave hungry! Right in the Elmwood Village of Buffalo, this has an amazing vibe, smiles, in a restaurant/bar that really competes with every top tier restaurant in the city or beat them. 💯 a total recommendation and I'll be back!

Surprisingly some of the best wings in the city. Always had Bar-Bill and Gabriels Gate as my Favorite wings but after a Couple of stops I had to move this firmly into my number 2 spot. Amazing. Food the pretzel is worth it. The southie wing sauce. Is amazing. The pb and j burger is good too. Staff was accommodating too our needs as well the chairs didnt suit my back issues so we were graciously allowed to sit at the outside tables. Granted other customers thought it was open seat and joined us.

This bar totally captures the vibe of a classic Buffalo spot on Elmwood! Everything here is so fresh and delicious. The nachos are a personal favorite—super customizable, which I love. Hands down, everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with great food and that true Buffalo feel, this is it!

Friends came in from the capital district area to experience what this great city of Buffalo has to showcase for chicken wings. Went to six places back to back to back etc… in one day. The atmosphere is great. The staff was amazing. I also and a glutton for great French onion soup. I found it. So to pace ourselves we ordered 10 medium wings. The wings were cooked perfectly. We ordered them extra crispy which I never do but nonetheless were great. Juicy crispy tender. The sauce was fantastic. The appropriate amount of heat for medium. They were on the tangy sweeter side than tangy acidic side. I loved them. If you’re a fan of Blue cheese they make it in house and it was awesome. I love rooties and this was way better. I highly recommend going here for wings, French onion soup and probably anything else they offer. Great vibes. Thank you soooo much

Went for wings today for the first time and I will be back. The service was wonderful. I was there with my little one and she enjoyed. Food was hot and fresh. Wings were flavored and cooked well. We had appetizers also, the mozzarella sticks lacked a little flavor and chessiness but the stuffed peppers were delicious. We'll be back.

Stopped by a couple weeks back for a late lunch / early dinner with a few friends. They were pretty busy & continued to fill up while we were seated. We were sat in this cool little loft area that allows for great views of the TVs & overlooks the bar area. I had the Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich & fries, which I would not hesitate to order a second time (so good). They had a pretty impressive selection of alcohol beverages from cans, draft, & cocktails. Our waiter was very polite & attentive up until nearly the end, at which point we had to go to the bar to ask for the check because it was never brought to us. Other than that everything was great, definitely looking forward to visiting again!

Great service from a friendly staff featuring a well curated drink and food menu. As everyone else mentioned the portions are enormous and reasonably priced; even the salad comes in a comically large bowl (pictured is the side salad). We ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich, the meatloaf, and the chili, enjoyed it all and ended up very very full with leftovers. I'm pretty sure 90% of the menu has some kind of cheese, nothing wrong with it at all, but there was a vegan option if you must be like that. The mac salad is a must try and the meatloaf is some darn good meatloaf and comes with more of that cheese. This place has a fun and lively atmosphere, it's a vibe for sure. I would definitely return to drink whiskey and eat more cheese next time I'm in town.

The place is nice with good service. I asked for pesto sandwich and it was good! With good portions, I only ate the half because the size 😅 the house burger was good too! It was loud, so if you want a quiet place to have conversations that’s not the place, but the food is good!

Came to FT for lunch during peak time. We were seated right away. Service was outstanding! Our waitress was great making sure we (and the other tables) had everything we needed. There were two guys, one most likely the manager, that checked to make sure that all was good as well. The menu was varied, the food was delicious, and the place looked great. We’ll definitely be back.

Looks delicious and it’s a very large for lunch portion. Had to get it reheated because my beans were cold. Overall it was very yummy! The pork is delicious it tastes home made!!

We went there based on a Google review which depicted a lively and vibrant atmosphere. A very festive amd traditional atmosphere That's just what we got! We ordered fajitas and they were delicious. One suggestion is to have four tortillas instead of the usual three. And to maybe have some tortilla chips that have multiple colors rather than the standard and unexciting brown only. Just because everyone else does it that way, doesn't mean that these guys have to too. In all honesty I found the price high for the quality of chicken that was used in the fajitas. They were strips of meat rather than sections of breast It always helps to stand out and be your own place with your own vibe. Just set yourself apart from the rest. I would definitely go back again maybe a little less close to closing time. Even though it wasn't late, before 9 I'm sure, it did feel like we were maybe being surrounded by staff waiting to clean the place up even though it was definitely not very late. As soon as people seated at the bar drinking got up to leave, the staff seemed anxious to clean up and go. And as we all know, that's never comfortable for the client. So hasta la vista.

Great vibe and decor. Place was clean and tables are well placed, you wouldn't feel cramped up. Food waa also great, real tasty. Some of them too tasty like the calamari but the squid inside was soft. I loved their al pastor! Price point was decent for the food and serving size you are getting. Too bad we weren't able to do cocktails that night. I wouldn't mind coming back. Service was efficient, they've been polite, we know we overstayed a bit.

Stop by for a birthday dinner. This was my first time here. Nice bar/grill. The food was amazing. Everything we ordered was really good. I will definitely visit again.

We walked in, party of 3 happy about our friend's birthday. It took the restaurant maybe 5-10 minutes to accommodate us to a table that fit us. They don't take reservations, but you can walk in, provide your phone number and wait to be called. Our server, Jordan seemed ticked off by us throughout the dinner? Her responses and attitude did not match how we felt walking in. We spent $60 on a marg tower and ordered the nachos supreme. After the service was over, Jordan collected our separate checks and I said "I can pay for mine but she is in the bathroom." Referring to my friend. I finish mine, and she goes "Can you just fill out the tip option for her?" I said "Um I'm sorry no? She's in the bathroom" I've never seen that before, she really seemed visibly upset with us when we were just trying to have a good time. By the way all 3 porcelain side plates you gave us had cracks in them. Would you sit down to use the bathroom on a cracked porcelain toilet? Liability waiting to happen

Pretty bad overall. Girlfriend got a cobb salad and French onion soup that was super salty, salad came way before the soup. I ordered a PB&J burger that came like 20 min after her food, showed up and it was cold. Bartender made up for it which is why I gave the place 2 stars, he was really cool and welcoming. Definitely won't be here again.

The place has a nice bar vibe and friendly staff. However, the food took 1.5 hours to come and my fried chicken sandwich was a burnt chicken tender. Fast food chicken sandwiches are better looking. I would recommend for a drink but not food.

We arrived at 1:41pm. The waitress brought us waters and took our appetizer order. We received our app at 2:13. We ordered the medium wings, those were delicious. We ordered our entrees fish tacos(only available on Fridays), French onion soup and PB and J burger. The PB and J burger was raw(see picture). The service was slow. We sat near the kitchen and could see the cook sitting on the counter near the prep station, employees vaping in the back, as well as other employees sitting in the back talking. We let the waitress know about our raw food. We’re not from here but it won’t be on our list to come back either. Service was very slow. We headed out at 3:11pm. Yes, I wrote this whole sitting in the restaurant.

I used to go here all the time until today. I spent $50 just for my food to come with fully cooked bugs in it ! I’m so disappointed I will never eat here again

Came here for a bite and beer at 1pm, sat down at a 2x2 table with only two other tables dining upstairs. The hostess was nice enough to bring me a water. Sat there for 20 min without a single interaction and watched as 4 other tables got seated with two of the tables having 3+ ppl. The servers then proceeded to immediately greet them and get their drink orders, meanwhile I have yet to even speak to a server. I then got up and left and walked over to Wasabi across the street that had spectacular service with great beer, sake and amazing lunch specials for a great price! Forty thieves should just be a dive bar and close their kitchen

We have been here a few times before with no issues but tonight was very disappointing. We waited 45 minutes for our food: black and blue burger and Reuben burger. Ordered the burgers med rare, they were so overcooked the burgers broke apart when we picked them up. Also ordered the Mac salad for a change and there was a dead fly in it. Side salad with strawberry vinaigrette was good! Not one to complain typically because I understand restaurants are busy and can have their off nights but this was really upsetting. Quality of food was definitely not worth the price tonight.
