Born and raised in buffalo so I’ve done my rounds!! This place was AMAZING!!! I loved the lobster ravioli and the chicken Milanese. Def should try!!!
We have never had a bad experience at San Marco. It is our favorite place to have a quiet and relaxing dinner. The owner is wonderful and very personable. Save room for dessert- the gelato is my favorite! We try to make it to San Marco once a month- At Least!
San Marco has the best Italian food around. The service is awesome and the owner greets everyone personally. Every course is yummy and the ambience is great! My husband and I go there every year for our anniversary.
Absolutely amazing place! Our server was Gabriella and she was outstanding. From food recommendations to wine pairings she was top notch. We will most definitely be returning.
Came for a work dinner. First time. Had the lobster ravioli which was to die for. Also had the veal and eggplant. Also delicious. Key lime pie for dessert you won’t be disappointed. Our server was very friendly as well
Nothing like a locally owned family run business. Mom is the chef, dad is the maitre d, threes daughters are waitresses. The food is delicious. The service is top notch, the wine selection is the best in Western New York. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate. Reservations are a must. Don’t miss this place.
Great restaurant. Best I ever had. A bargain compared to the big cities but on the pricy side for this area. Food really couldn't be better. Not challenging. Just plain good. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Been there at least thirty times and never had anything but an excellent meal. The only thing less than top notch are the mediocre desserts.
One of our absolutely most favorite restaurants in all of Buffalo! Do not pass this place up because it is outstanding. From the owners all the way to the service is beyond anything we've ever experienced. Frank and Nancy and their entire family are amazing and they treat you like family. 👍❤
We celebrated our anniversary there. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant. Quiet enough to have a real conversation. And the food was outstanding! Everything from the bread to the desserts was excellent.
Everything was excellent. Probably the best tasting Italian food in the area (and this area has a lot).
Amazing food and service. I loved the Chilean sea bass and pesto risotto with scallops
I have dined here a few times, and each time it was the best meal in the many months prior. The food is really good. I mean...reaaallly good. The service is excellent. The owner very attentive to his customers. I cannot wait to return soon. Great place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.
We celebrate New Years Eve at San Marcos for last 20 years. This place is a jewel. It doesn’t get any better. I always recommend it to all new people moving into the area!!
We ordered dinner for takeout so can't comment on service but everything was great! We ordered 2 apps (grilled polenta with greens, spinach ravioli) and 2 pasta entrees (tagliolini with mushrooms, spaghetti pomodoro). The food was packed perfectly and absolutely delicious. Will absolutely return - next time for seated dining!!
Hands down the best restaurant in the Buffalo area!!! Hidden gem that will have you coming back again and again. The staff is so warm and friendly, everything on the menu is delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out!
OMG one of the best Italian restaurants I have been in. Easily the top in Buffalo. High quality food with the perfect amount of seasoning. You will not be disappointed.
Exceptional food and service. Everything an authentic Italian restaurant should be with fantastic opinions and amazing flavors! Bravo! Can't wait to go back!
Honestly some of the BEST pasta I have ever eaten. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have liquor? Or maybe it was just my specific cocktail (negroni) Regardless the wine, the food, the overall atmosphere is incredible. You feel like you at your family's house for dinner. The price reflects the quality, but if you have a special occasion or date, this is sure to win everyone over. I wouldnt say its not great for big groups but its a little intimate, so go somewhere else, and again, Im sure they allow kids, but again...don't. I will definately be back
Excellent restaurant, service was second to none. Owners are Italian. Born there! Enough said! You won't be disappointed. It's worth the drive!
Dear God, the mushroom risotto. It's a religious experience. When I was there last, it was only on the menu as an appetizer. But if you at all like risotto, just ask for a dinner portion. You will not regret it ~~~~~~ Update: returned 6+ years later, and the food is BETTER than I remember.
Went here for my boyfriends birthday, very nice staff, cozy setting and food was amazing.
One of the few Italian places in the area I actually loved. Food was incredible. Very personal atmosphere and the owner came to check on us twice.
The restaurant does book up quickly for reservations throughout the week so plan ahead. The atmosphere is wonderful for dates, or even a very nice birthday dinner. I would say the attire is closer to business casual, but I did wear a tie. I also saw other patrons wearing a tie as well. It's an Italian restaurant so it mostly offers wine with a small beer menu- no spirits. The menu was fantastic and offered truly authentic dishes. The service was great and the food was superb. It was a pricier dining experience, but this restaurant isn't mean to be a weekly occurrence.
We absolutely loved our dinners they were truly delicious. I had the chicken in a creamy Marcella sauce, and my husband had the Filet Minion . It is pricey and definitely worth it! If you want a special dinner, this is the place to go! Make sure to call and make reservations! Manga!
We were looking for something new for our dining experience and my husband chose this little restaurant. Not disappointed! Although we didn't have reservations, we were seated immediately upon our arrival. Just a few minutes later, our server came by asking for our drink order and at the same time, put a small basket of wonderful, warm Italian bread in front of us. We ordered an insalata arugula to split between us. When the salad was served, we actually thought that the server had made a mistake by giving us 2 large plates of salad. When I pointed out to her that we had only ordered 1 to split between the 2 of us, she smiled and told us that she had already split it! Each split portion was just the right amount for us. I ordered the saltimbocca alla romana (veal) and just can't say how absolutely wonderful it was! I could taste the white wine, garlic, fresh sage, parma prosciutto and mozzarella cheese, but each flavour was subtle and one didn't overpower the other. Absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the pollo trastevere, which was a delight, seasoned precisely and the vegetables were light and delicious. Each of our dinner portions were a nice size and I even had a bit left over to take home. Overall, the service was fantastic - very attentive - and the food was exceptional. We will be back!
This is a great restaurant. The food is delicious and the service was excellent. I had the special which was wild boar and it was phenomenal. The wine menu is very good. It is a great place for a quiet, intimate dinner. It is rather expensive but definitely worth the price. A person in ur party ordered a steak and said it matched other high end steak places in the area.
Authentic Italian cuisine in a quiet setting. The staff and management were welcoming and helpful. The Pollo Milanese was delicious and mouth-watering. The Fetticini Bolognese was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was first-rate. There is also a fine selection of wines. It's definitely a recommended restaurant if you're looking for a pleasurable dining experience.
Love Frank. Love Nancy's recipes. That girl knows how to make you come back for more.
Holy smokes..... a business partner of ours took us here for dinner. It was amazing! Small, intimate atmosphere and the food was more than I had anticipated in quality. To add to the review, our host was an itlaian man, so his recommendation was nothing short of expected.
For our group of four it was our first time trying San Marco. Each of us ordered different apps and entrees. And we all agreed the food was amazing. Also, our server was friendly and attentive. They allowed us to bring in a birthday cake but did charge a questionable cake cutting fee🤷🏻♀️. (If they offered birthday cakes we would have gladly ordered it there). Other than that, everything else got high marks. We would eat here again.
Family run restaurant. Best Italian Food in Buffalo.
Finally stopped into San Marcos and WOW!! What a beautiful place and phenomenol dinner!!! Service was outstanding, and even better when the owner seats you, even pulling out the chair! It’s places like this that I have missed!! The atmosphere is quaint and not loud, as most restaurants have become. I welcomed that! And the food?! Oh my! Everything was perfectly prepared and outstanding!! The bolognese with lamb and veal was amazing. The filet was cooked perfectly and so delicious. Even the tiramisu is something I will come back for! I encourage anyone to try this restaurant
Such a hidden gem! Went for a family dinner and I would go back in a heartbeat! The Chicken Milanese was excellent as was our dessert! Warm and cozy atmosphere with a large selection of favorites!
My husband, brother and sister in law, and mother and father in law went here for as our holiday dinner. All of great reviews you have read about this place are true! I am extremely glad we went there for dinner and will most certainly be back. The service, food, wine were excellent! Between the 6 of us we ordered: a bottle of red wine, NY strip steak, red snapper, sea bass, bolognese pasta, salmon, and a ravioli special. Everything was great!
This was a fabulous dining experience. Coming from a fussy Italian, it says a lot. If you're somewhat adventurous and appreciate good quality, this is the place to go for authentic Italian flavor. If you're someone who orders spaghetti or thinks Chef's is good, this is not for you. It would be a waste of your money.
This is my favorite restautant in Buffalo. It is very romantic and upscale. The food is absolutely delicious. The owner is a very funny guy and his wife is the chef. We never feel rushed and we always enjoy the bass. From start to finish this is a wonderful night to appreciate. You must go and give it your attention.
Literally the best in 716. Over the top dinners and fabulous wine selection. Staff are amazing and welcome their guests like family. Can’t come to Buffalo without having a meal or two at San Marco! 💥
I went with a group from work and had a great time. They have 3 rooms for dining so it provides smaller area for groups which works out very well. Fantastic Italian dishes. Fresh made pasta. The sauces are terrific. As for appetizers the gnocchi with gogonzola cream sauce was among the best I've had, the lobster ravioli was very good, I wish I could have tried the polenta. The entree choices are quite nice. I had the Chilean Sea Bass which was good but I hope I have a chance to try more. There is a good wine list as well. If you're looking for a premium Italian restaurant make sure you try this place.
Cute, family owned, Italian restaurant. Cozy atmosphere and great food. The scallops were perfect, and the bass.. the bass was out-of-this-world! We will definitely come back. Make sure you have a reservation - the place was packed last night.
I was looking for fine dining in Buffalo NY. I am so glad I found San Marco Ristorante. They boast a scratch kitchen and do not disappoint. They have the freshest ingredients and the owners Frank and Nancy are top notch people. You can tell that is a pro family operation. The Livorno is my favorite dish. It’s incredible there.
One of the best Italian meals I have ever had, and the ambience was beautiful and so romantic! We started with the scallops and pesto risotto, and I took the tagliolini al tartufo for my main... it was one of those meals where absolutely every bite was flavorful and memorable -- I am still thinking about the meal the next day! So glad I finally tried this place -- quickly rose to the top of my list of favorites!
Absolutely phenomenal. I went with my son, daughter in law and her parents. We were treated fabulously. The banana pepper ravioli appetizer and the wild boar for dinner were both scrumptious. As was the oxtail, sea bass, red stag venison. Highly recommend!
Came for a family dinner for my mother-in-laws birthday. Staff was friendly and efficient. One of the only places I've been where the server poured champagne correctly so that we didn't lose all of the bubbles. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and the home made ravioli was fanstastic.
Personally, under a strict rating criteria, I will give 9.0 out of 10 to San Marco. The service here first class and food is amazing. Only shortcoming is the desert tiramisu here might not use coffee liquor when they making it, so the taste is lacking that specific level. Passion fruit sorbet is the best dessert in the menu.
I've been going to San Marco for over a decade at this point and it's always incredible. I cannot recommend it enough. The food, service, and atmosphere are immaculate and everyone is so friendly and joyful.
Has the best and top quality food . The service is amazing! Atmosphere is so nice and cozy! The weekly specials are always a hit! The staff is so friendly and they only accept reservations through phone calls. Highly recommend this place!
Literally the best sauce in all of Western New York by far! This place is pure class. Fine dining at its best. The owners Frank and Nancy have devoted their lives to making and every customer as happy as they could ever be. Quiet, intimate, incredible service, incredible food. It has become a staple for my husband and myself. Fine dining experience❤
Everything here is first class. Nice wine list. The staff is all first class. Helpful with menu questions, and attentive throughout the evening. This was our third visit and everything from salads to main courses to dessert was excellent.
Another great night of food and good service, Always consistent. Their menu has a wide variety to please everyone, that's why its a regular stop on our list. Grazie. The Santa Maria's
10/10 a fantastic Italian fine dining experience. You will not find anything bland or plain on the menu. Service is top notch, atmosphere is the perfect fancy Italian American style.
Really grateful to found this gem while visiting on business from out of town. Easily 5 stars!
Exactly what you expect as soon as you walk in. True authentic food, the dining room is full of laughter and good conversation. The banana pepper ravioli was hands down the best I’ve had.
Dining at San Marco was a truly memorable experience that felt delightfully old school. You’ll need to plan ahead, as reservations here must be made well in advance, which only adds to the charm of this intimate spot. The atmosphere was cozy and tight-knit, giving the restaurant a warm, personal feel that makes every meal feel special. I ordered the fusilli alla luciana, and it was so outstanding that I ended up finishing what my companion couldn’t—it was that good! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the rich, flavorful sauce left me craving more. I also had the banana pepper ravioli as an appetizer, which was absolutely delightful—spicy, creamy, and a great way to start the meal. For my main, I opted for the bolognese, which was delicious and hearty, but in hindsight, I wish I had gone with the fusilli alla luciana instead! The seating is tight, but that only added to the intimate vibe of the place, making the meal feel personal and cozy. When the bill came, it was on the pricier side, but it worked out to about $70 per person for four people, which I felt was totally reasonable for the high quality of food and the overall experience. I’ve already recommended San Marco to my friends and family for special occasions—it’s the perfect spot for a memorable, delicious meal. If you’re looking for a truly authentic dining experience, this place should definitely be on your list!
The BEST Italian meal I’ve had in years. I went with my girlfriend on Sunday night and we were blown away by how incredible everything was. Our waitress was the owners daughter and she went above and beyond in making our night special. The food was exquisite. From the appetizers to dessert, nothing disappointed. The atmosphere is cozy and private, and they treat you like family. 10/10. You won’t be disappointed!
Absolutely fabulous meal on Saturday night. The food was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful explaining the dishes. Appetizer of the day (mini ravioli) was outstanding The atmosphere was wonderful. Our first time at San Marcos but definitely not our last.
This was my first time eating at this restaurant. The ambiance, service and our wonderful server David, who explained certain aspects of the menu very well, and answered any questions we had. The portions of each dish were perfect. The food was properly seasoned, especially the sauces. The wild boar dish, bruschetta and the bolognese were my favorite. The owner Frank was pleasant to speak to as well. It simply was one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in my life.
A new favorite! Dave, our server was knowledgeable and helpful. Food was beyond- scallops and tiger shrimp over angel hair pasta was delicious. We had gnocchi and ravioli filled with banana peppers for appetizers. Would highly recommend the ravioli. Looking forward to going back!
Our meals were excellent. The flavors here are seriously decadent. The service is excellent as well. Great upscale old school charm. We'll definitely return.
I have not lived in Buffalo for 30+ years, but had the pleasure of visiting for a Bills’ game with a friend and client to whom I wanted to showcase the food here. We dined at San Marco and were greeted warmly by Frank. The welcome was rivaled only by the food and outstanding service. Everything from the special app to the pasta course to the secondi were excellent. Thanks Frank!
From the moment we walked into San Marco we had a warm, welcoming and wonderful experience! Service was attentive, friendly and fast, and the food was exceptional. A vast wine selection complemented our meals, and all of this for a very fair price. I would certainly recommend stopping in to San Marco, for any occasion, big or small, and am already looking forward to my next visit!
We love dining in the wine cellar room, delightful atmosphere. Food is usually impeccable, however last visit not quite as perfect. Great place to eat.
Excellent evening out with friends. My wife and I along with another couple enjoyed a Friday evening dinner. The food was really good. Taste and nice portion sizes. The team of wait staff really knew their stuff and helped us make a few decisions. For apps we tried two different kinds of raviolis, they were awesome. We asked for extra bread to soak up the leftover sauces. Main courses we had two steaks and two veals. Really, really good. They were able to do a well done steak still juicy and tender. I love veal and I would recommend the one with the mushrooms. Great dessert selection and some unique ones. The multiple hours flew by. Great wine selection too! Atmosphere was also great. Felt exclusive. We did dress well, it was that kind of place.
We came here for our anniversary dinner, and I must say every entrée we ordered was fabulous!!! The pasta was fresh and everything was so well seasoned. Especially the shrimp and lobster ravioli was a 10/10 if you’re going to order one thing let it be this dish. The outside of the restaurant makes it seem like it’s closed but once inside the vibes are immaculate and I loved the ambiance, mood lighting and decor. Not pictured is the Tiramisu slice which was a disappointment, for $12 the portion size is tiny and it is not an authentic tiramisu, felt like something you would get at a grocery store.
If I could give more stars for atmosphere I would… this is a very comfortable space and it accommodates a lot of tables without feeling crowded. There are multiple dining rooms and the one we were in was magnificent. We loved the floor to ceiling shelves that were used to store the wine and the stone walls. The service was good and we appreciated the relaxed pace. We started with the lobster ravioli and baby shrimp appetizer and split the arugula salad. The salad was very fresh and the portion is more appropriate for 1 person. They also have delicious bread and butter. For wine, we were recommended the Romeo by the owner and it was perfect! For my entree I got the VITELLO DELLA NONNA and it was one of the best meals of my life! They were out of a few dessert options but we were pleased with the cappuccino gelato that we split! We can’t wait to go back. This is a great place to celebrate special moments or to impress guests.
Northern Italian restaurant with delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service! Perfectly timed delivery of our wine, appetizers and main courses, plus dessert and espresso! We recommend doing it all. The appetizer we loved was “RAVIOLI ALL’ARAGOSTA”. My meal was “VITELLO BOSCAIOLA” and I highly recommend. We will be back!
{Service} 5/5* We went on a Sunday night at 7pm and made a reservation the day before. You definitely have to reserve as it’s always packed. We were seated pretty quickly. Our server was attentive and even made our food spicier to accommodate my south asian mother haha. The owner himself even cleared away our plates. Amazing incredible service! They are so humble and welcoming. {Food} Risotto del giorno (mushroom truffle) $16 5/5* The most delicious, creamy, umami, salty risotto I’ve ever had. Best hands down. I’ve tried this dish several times in different places, San Marco does it best. I’d drive 2 hrs from Toronto again just for this dish! Capesante al vesuvio $19 5/5* Scallops with lemon herb butter sauce and pesto risotto. The risotto was divine and I was told the scallops were perfectly cooked and very flavourful. Penne all’arrabbiata $25 4.5/5* Very spicy and flavourful sauce. Perfectly cooked pasta. A little too spicy so def avoid if you can’t handle spice, we’re south asian and it was quite spicy even for us. Fusilli alla luciana $25 4/5* Very creamy sauce with some sundried tomatoes and perfectly cooked fusilli pasta. -1 because it was a bit too one note and too rich for me, description said tomato cream sauce so I expected more tomato. Still delicious pasta but I’d opt for a lighter option next time. Chocolate lava cake with hazelnut ice cream $12 4/5* Hazelnut ice cream was delicious, not too sweet, creamy. Molten cake was okay - I wasn’t a fan of the cake itself but the molten chocolate was good and not overly sweet. {Ambiance} 5/5* Crowded but not too loud because tables are divided between 2 or 3 rooms I believe. Business casual to formal attire. The prices are decently affordable but feels like fine dining. Overall: 5/5* Recommend to others?: DEFINITELY, come here, even make the trip from Toronto. Best Italian I’ve ever had so far!
Had heard a lot of raving reviews and had to try it, as I just recently moved back from Italy and everyone was saying there was a lot of authentic dishes. We enjoyed an antipasto misto, cinghiale, vitello della nonna and saltimbocca. Everything was super buona. Complimented by a Renato Ratti Barolo and a couple glasses of some smooth grappa. The closest thing to a true Italian experience Buffalo has to offer.
Great ambience! Love the family owned business! Great service and very friendly! Every room that I saw had only 4-5 tables so even when busy it wouldn't be loud. Amazing menu and the portions are perfect. Actually much smaller than typical more for your eyes than stomach Italian Fare. But you don't leave feeling like you can't move. Can't wait to go back with my wife for another amazing date.
They had really good food, but it was the wine that I remember! Oh man they had this devine Merlot! I wish I could remember the name of the bottle and which vineyard it came from because I'd buy a case! I don't want to undersell their food though, they had very good dishes. I also really.liked the atmosphere. The walls were dark and the windows covered but had this warm lighting which gave it a really dim but cozy feel. It's a great place for a romantic evening and perfect for a date night.
Great food and nice atmosphere. Service needs a bit of polishing. They were friendly overall, but not on par with what I would expect from a restaurant of this type (reaching in front of and across guests, touching the mouth of a glass when refilling, insisting a guest was wrong about who ordered which entree). I would say this place is nice enough, but a few simple things let them down.
Nice small quant place located border Snyder and Cheektowaga. Clean place small parking lot may have to park in street.food was good lobster raviolis a little firm as was the veal a little tough but flavor was good. Was neat to eat in wine room though was very dim and cold for many in the party. Otherwise pretty good place
Birthday Dinner. First time dining. Small and intimate setting. The atmosphere was comfortable and quiet. Staff were responsive and attentive. Will return. Fettuccine Bolognese was fantastic!!!
Excellent, EXCELLENT food. Our server, however, must not have realized that we could hear her when she was swearing about and trash talking our table, as we were just around the corner from the register and kitchen. She was nice enough and attentive while in front of us and I know she’s not the only server to swear about a table when not within earshot, but it kind of left a sour taste. The manager or owner came by to check on us which was great and again, the food was really delicious! Would go back.
Great food, but apparently don't have to cancel a reservation if your kid is sick. Women called to confirm reservation this morning, told her my daughter was sick and we couldn't make it, and she just hung up. Here's a thought, next time try, "I'm sorry to hear that, but we'll see you next time." More and more businesses simply do NOT care about their customer service, or return business. Makes me regret not complaining about being overcharged on my tip during my last visit. Do better.
My husband and I treated our daughter and son-in-law for a birthday dinner after hearing rave reviews about San Marco. We found it expensive for the quality of food. It was good—not great. Our favorite restaurant is Hutches and San Marco was just not as good. We received bread on the table-no butter. There was olive oil and balsamic vinegar but no spices. Nothing special. We had wine and beer but were disappointed that they didn’t have cocktails. Our entrees were satisfactory. My veal was a bit tough but my husband’s venison was good. I ordered key lime pie for dessert but server returned to say they didn’t have any. All in all-ok restaurant but we won’t be returning.
We've been twice. The first time, it was the wife and I, we had David as a server. The meal and the service were fantastic. The second time wasn't good. There were four of us, my sons girlfriend is black. We felt snubbed the whole time. We waited quite some time, then Lisa came to take our order. Never even asked if we wanted drinks. Food was great. When finished, we sat with empty plates for a long time while everyone passed by and saw them. The busboy, the server, even the owner. Not in a hurry to go back now. It's too bad, as the food really is top notch
We were a party of 7 for dinner. Our meals were very good.We asked for separate checks but the waitress told us they don’t do that and they were swamped so I guess understandable. Beware your final bill however. We were charged an automatic tip of 20 percent gratuity on top of the total bill including the tax. Tax is not a service!!!! We questioned this with who we believe was the owner but were told that is how they do it. Will never go back.
The service was horrible. The waitress barely came by our table, it took over an hour to get our food and the waitress had an attitude. The caesar salad was wilted and not fresh. The sea bass was good. They put a 20% tip on the bill and then wanted to argue with us when we told them our service was not worth 20%. Then the waitress(owners daughter) called me a liar when I said the service was bad and her father (the owner) didn't apologize for any of the isssues we had. They were lucky to get any tip from our table at all and none of us will be back.
Food was good but portions were small. Service was slow. Music was blasting then shut off before getting the proper volume. Needed to ask for water, bread, cheese, etc. A good server doesn’t have to ask, they provide. Napkins were dusty. Bizarre that they couldn’t find the waitress when we were seated. Disappointing, overpriced for what you get.
My wife and I visited about a week ago for the first time. We had heard about it and always wanted to give it a try. First let me say the food was good but the service was absolutely awful. Our server was Lisa. After we were seated it took her about 4-5 minutes to come over and take our beverage order, during the time we were waiting we could see her off to the side scrolling on her phone. Then while taking our order she kept staring at my wife making her feel extremely uncomfortable. During the meal my wife asked for more bread and she acted as if this was the biggest inconvenience for her. At the end of the meal when she brought the bill she automatically assumed we were paying cash and when I explained we had a card she seemed shocked. I believe we received this treatment because we are African-American. I will not ever return to this establishment because of Lisa.
To start off, Going into the establishment was nice and cozy we were seated right by te door by another couple. With covid going on we polietly asked to move and the waitress let us. However we heared the manager say "Why are they moving they don't like it". I found this very rude. Our witress was quite nice. We order our entree's and they were pretty good. We then ordered our food and it arrived in a timely maner. However my pasta was very over salted and my boyfriends food tasted weird. He asked me to bite into his samon to see if it was just him. It litteraly tasted like dish soap. It was slimy and seemed like they tried to dress it up in flavor. (did not work) We immeadiatly called the manager over and explaind our complaint. He proceeded to get hostile and angry. Saying to my boyfriend "we've been here 30 years and never had a comuster complain. This is fresh and it's not that it's not good you just don't like it" I found this extremly rude and disrespectful. Our food was taken away and he went back behind the counter and proceeded to talk about us for a momen to another waitress. We ordered dessert and asked that we not be charged for the dishes my boyfriend did not eat. We then got our bill and they still charged us $133.76. They did not take off one of the dishes. Overall it was a terrible experience and i will never eat here again. ( My boyfriend was born and raised in italy and is brown and I am an African-American. )
I walked in at 730 on a Tuesday for a dinner by myself. I was denied service because they said they were all booked. I counted over 5 empty tables in the restaurant. So much for Italian hospitality.
Lost our reservation and we were treated extremely rude. Host was absolutely nasty and treated us poorly. He tried to make us look stupid by saying our reservation was for the day after, not the day we called about even though we received a confirmation text about the day we set the reservation for. Absolutely will not be going back here.
Wish I had read reviews before going. Some of them say the staff is biased towards African Americans, and that was my experience as well. When we got our food, my husband took one bite and didn’t like it, so he kindly asked the waitress if she could bring him something else. She replied that she could but he’d have to pay for both dishes, because the food wasn’t bad, he just didn’t like it. She was very rude and shut him down as he tried to come up with solutions (she pretty much told him every dish had the same sauce and he wasn’t going to like anything).
