amazing food, ordered for pickup for the office. food is phenomenal, portions are too generous. the people do their best to accommodate. they labeled everyone's orders and bagged things separately, can't ask for more. i hope to be back again this season!
We are from out of town and took our kids here because it was close to our hotel. Everyone was so happy with the food. It was delicious! My kids are only bummed that this restaurant isn't in our hometown!
The food here is so fantastic! I came here on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. There were lots of tables available so I didn't have to wait at all. I ordered the House Special chicken. I was blown away by how good it was! The hot & sour soup was also excellent. I will definitely come back again the next time I'm in the area!
Service was friendly and fast. Food was very good. I recommend their vegetable soup. We had the beef and broccoli, the Kung Pow Chicken, and Vegetable Pan Fried Noodles. The veggies were all fresh and slightly crunchy, not over cooked. The beef and chicken were moist and gristle-free. Delicious. To top that, our waiter was prompt with service and had a great witty humor. Very enjoyable!
I've been coming here since it opened. The owner, and his incredibly talented cooks and waiters are simply amazing. Specifically, a young man of Hispanic heritage, who's been a waiter here for over 20 years! I truly wish I could remember his name, but he's funny, attentive, a hard worker, and just makes your dining experience all that more special! I was so happy to see him after a years absents due to COVID-19. In all the years that I've been coming here I can honestly say that I've never ordered anything that wasn't simply amazing! If you're ever in Burbank and craving Chinese food then this is your place. I recommend the chicken and broccoli, Hawaiian chicken, House fried rice and the creme cheese poppers. Delicious!!!
My boyfirend and I decided to try a new location and this was our choice, we order 6 different dishes to try and have leftovers. Both of us love what we ordered, the staff was quick and friendly. The Hawaiian chicken was good and was not great the next day. The orange chicken was amazing! We will be going back and sharing this location with friend and family.
Casual, delicious food, well served, at a good price. Liked the hot & sour soup, the Szechuan green beans and the pot stickers.
The food was some of the best I've had! I went with a group of friends and my 2 kids. The waitress was the only one taking care of the entire restaurant. She seemed a little frustrated, but overall, it was great. We got a large orange chicken and large rice to share, and it was so delicious! We even had leftovers! It also came with our choice of hot and sour soup or vegetable soup, and we picked hot and sour. I've never had it before, so I was nervous, but I loved it. They also have some very tasty hot sauce on the table. I suggest trying it! It was delicious as well and not overly hot.
Great spot for some awesome Chinese food. Love the customer service and the dishes they have on the menu. They have a variety of Dim Sum, noodle dishes, soup, salad and traditional dishes. This restaurant is great for large parties. Nothing beats hearing the sound of a wok. You know the food will be delicious. We started with a bowl of Hot and Sour soup and crispy, golden brown, vegetable Egg Rolls. When your looking for some comfort food, this would be it. Biting into their freshly made Egg Rolls does it for me. The sauces they provide for each dish is just heavenly. The sauce for the Egg Rolls compliment the whole appetizer. We even pour a little of the Egg Roll sauce and eat the cabbage garnish as well. This is standard for us because not a lot of people each crispy cabbage along with their Egg Rolls like we do. We eat it all. Everything's fresh and nothing is sitting under a lamp. Everything is made to order. For the last couple of months, we've been ordering take away and today was the first time dining in. This won't be like your standard Chinese Food restaurant. With our experience with take away orders, if you have to reheat your leftovers, they're just as good as when you first ordered it and that's tricky when you're dealing Chinese Food. Their Sweet and Sour Pork was light and crispy yet the pork was tender. It was perfectly sweet and it wasn't drenched in an overpowering red sauce. The sweet and sour sauce was clear. Just absolutely delicious. There were chunks of pineapple, green peppers, onions and carrots. Scrumptious. We always order the Basil Beef. Loaded with beef tenderloin, onions and basil - you can't go wrong. We ate both dishes with their house Fried Rice. The portions to price ratio is good, too as all dishes are communal. We like the staff and the delicious hot, fresh food so as always, we'll be back to dine in. #mortimerthebear #chinese #food
I really love good Chinese food and there are several places that I like for different reasons. I love this place for their orange chicken! It is by far the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot. It is so crisp and delicious I can't even describe it. I get extra orange sauce on the side to dip each piece into. I've had other good orange chicken and none even come close to this place. Do they have the best all around food? No. Their food is solid but if they didn't have the orange chicken I'd just go to a different place where I like other dishes better. But this place is very good with exceptional orange chicken. If you go on Mondays or Thursdays you can have David serve you, his service is excellent. The other days the service is just fair at best. If you go on the right day and get the right dish you'll have a great experience.
My wife and I were looking for local Chinese food, and decided to try it tonight. Our server was extremely friendly and efficient, the food was hot, fresh, made quickly, and absolutely delicious. We definitely will be coming back!
My favorite Chinese restaurant, this is my go to place. I love their hot and sour soup and pan fry noodles, and my wife loves the chicken fried rice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Literally the go-to spot. Very reasonable prices, large portions, fast service, and delicious food. What could be better?? Family style is the best way to go, so bring a group, a friend, or get ready for a to-go box! :) Favs: orange chicken and spicy tofu appetizer
One of my favorite Chinese take-out places closed in downtown after 40 years of activity, and I've been looking for a substitute ever since. This might be my new spot! It looks to be family owned by very friendly people. The reason I went was for the aromatic shrimp that I saw on the menu, I tried the hot and soup, the Orange Chicken, the classic Kung Pao Chicken, and the Fried rice with Shrimp. I liked the addition of zucchini to the soup, it's the first time I see that and the soup was not too vinegary, but I would have liked it a bit more white pepper forward. The aromatic shrimp were very nice, the broccoli would have been nice if sautéed with garlic. Overall I think it's a great spot for the flavors and their prices. They also have half portions if you want to try out various dishes. It's another one of those place you might just drive by looking from outside, but you should give it a go!
Food is amazing, fresh and comes out quick! Always walk out satisfied.
Update 2/14/24 Valentines day at Frontier Wok Too is always very busy. The owner was there to make sure all the orders were ready to go. The restaurant was full and the food delivery bag were many. Thank you Frontier Wok Too! Update 5/23/23 Frontier Wok Too has been around Burbank for over 15 years. The Orange Chicken is excellent. It is crispy outside and soft inside. It comes with the perfect amount of orange sauce. This is one of the best selling dishes. The Kung Pao Chicken has the perfect amount of spice and sauce that goes well with the peanuts and veggies. Look at the vegetable plate. It is very welcoming. I highly recommend the Sweet and Sour soup. It has been a favorite of mine for over 15 years. I introduce Frontier Wok Too to anyone who comes in to the Burbank area. Everyone says it is delicious and always wants to return. Excellent orange chicken. I highly recommend to hot and sour soup as well with crunchy noodles on top
Great food. Good prices. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered yang chow fried rice and mango chicken. Meal also comes with a soup. P.S it was my first time here but I noticed people were ordered Thai Tea a lot so I got it to go. It was real good. Will be back eventually.
One of Burbanks Best Chinese Food Spots Frontier Wok Too Just reopened again from a kitchen fire Clean, Nice cozy modern dining area, helpful staff gets busy very good food. I like there combination chow mein , hot sour soup, and garlic chicken good portion size and it's filling. I will leave pictures below One dish I hope gets cooked right from now on is the (Orange Chicken) We had placed 2 orders for take out once we got home to eat the orange chicken was hard and not chewable at all which was such a bummer and a waste of food that was not edible at all. We order the orange chicken alot it's usually cooked to perfection so hopefully kitchen staff recognizes that and corrects that because its a great dish when cooked right. Other then that dish plenty of options to choose from on the menu. Place gets packed wait time is up to 20 min to be seated. When busy . I been coming here for 5 years with family and friends. The majority of Times we eat here is always a great experience. So enjoy this place and be upfront and let them know right away if a dish is not cooked right, so they can continue to put out as a standard there best quality dishes and continue to serve great tasty quality dishes always..
The service was perfect, and the food was really good. I find the small portion a good size for individuals, it includes friend/steam rice. Also, I think the prices were pretty reasonable.
Frontier Wok is my favorite place to grab Chinese food in Burbank. Unlike most establishments in the area, the portions are large and reasonably priced. I’m usually able to make three meals out of one of their platters. It’s really easy to order from their website, and the staff is always super friendly when I arrive to pick it up. Last time they even hooked it up with some extra BBQ sauce so I could glaze some baby back ribs I had slow cooking in the oven. Make sure to give Frontier Wok a try if you’re in the neighborhood - you won’t be disappointed.
Great service, fast, good portions. Have I tasted better? Yes, but not on the regular. Would binge.

Had takeout as an employee luncheon, and they got everything spot on. Food was perfectly packed and super delicious. The fried rice is very tasty and had a good texture just how I like it. Chow mein was very tasty as well. We will definitely order from here again.
Great Chinese food located in Burbank! We've been going here for years and they're really great. Try the beef, chicken or fish dishes with fried rice. Crispy noodles are the best. Try this in Burbank.
The food was hot and fresh! It was really delicious and had wonderful service. The guy who took our order was super nice and quick. I will for sure come here again :)
I used to live weekdays in Burbank, and the Frontier Wok was my goto for great food. I really can't endorse this place highly enough. The people were great, and the food was top notch.

A well-known Chinese restaurant with a good size menu. They also have a small Dim Sum selection. The restaurant is clean, the service is good and plenty of off-street parking. The food is well prepared and tasty. We had the pork fried rice and the orange chicken.
Great food. And if you are ordering to go or to eat there, you get your food very fast and it tastes fresh every time
Food is good. Overpriced but one of the better Chinese food restaurants around. Definitely check your order. They tend to leave things out when you add to a dish...but they don't forget to charge for the extra!
We visited for dinner on a rainy day. They took our order and served us complementary soup 🍲. Foood was definitely 👌 good. Orange chicken was my favorite. (Crispy). Service was fast and excellent. Price is fare $
A pretty decent American Chinese restaurant, located in the Burbank area on Olive Ave. It was recommended by a friend who works at the BurbankUSD since I work around this area too. Their Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef are great, better than others that serve the same foods. I love the Hot & Sour soup, it has the right amount of sourness to it, I added some chilli to make it taste even better. For lunch specials, you can choose from either white or fried rice for free, or brown rice for $1. You can also add extra veggies of your choices for $1 more. I do recommend this place if you are looking for a decent American Chinese restaurant.
Large portions and great food selection. Everything we got tasted great. The pot stickers were amazing.
Absolutely delicious chinese 🇨🇳 food 🍲! Portions are shareable size (Small and Large). Not your fast food joint. Food is prepared fresh upon ordering it. I believe catering and take out is available. First time at this place. Easy to get to via Metro Bus Line 🚍 155 and Burbank Bus Pink. Venue was recently remodeled. Great service by great people. I understand on Saturday and Sunday there's a wait time to be served, so plan accordingly.

By all counts, the food here is considered good/tasty. However, I wouldn't know. We arrived at 8:28 PM (they close at 9 PM). Although the cooks still appeared to be preparing dishes - it's not as though they were cleaning the grill to close up - we were told that orders were only to-go, given the time. We offered to eat quickly if we could just sit down. The answer was "No, and actually, our kitchen closes at 8:30," so we left. The register woman wasn't rude, although we weren't sure if any of what we were told was actually true. It didn't really matter. We didn't want to order at a time when clearly the staff just wants to get out of there, even though it was a full half hour to close. That's how it is now at a lot of casual places.
Kung Pao shrimp was okay, but nothing to write home about. Server was nice, nothing differentiates this place from a million others.
Decided to visit based on the other reviews. This place is definitely small and can get busy really quick. The food was good, but my order contained items not listed on the menu description. I ordered takeout and didn't realize it until I had gotten home and had to take the food back. slightly overpriced for the portions. Next time, I'll dine in. Dishes pictured: Seafood delight (they were skimpy on the seafood), shrimp fried rice, chow fun.
I had a chicken bowl and I was unimpressed. I had high hopes based on all the positive reviews, but unfortunately I didn't have the same experience.

The food here is REALLY GOOD. But what messes it up is the service. The service is really bad especially on weekends. I like to come here to eat frequently, and it is really busy on weekends and there is only one waitress. She did not even come once to check on us AT ALL and we wanted to order more. One more thing, when she took our order she was in a BAD mood. Personally I HATED the service. I recommend you take the food to go because it’s REALLY GOOD just that the service is HORRIBLE.
We got the hot and sour soup & dim sum set here - Firstly, the hot and sour soup is good. However, the bao buns were strikingly similar to frozen ones from Trader Joe’s. We asked the waiter, and he did confirm that it’s bought in. My significant other and I have these buns in out freezer as we speak. While it tastes great regardless (and that’s why we bought em), it’s still undermined the rest of the meal. We have a hunch that most of the dim sum started as frozen food.
I usually LOVE to eat here because the food is AMAZING. But lately i have been getting HORRIBLE service. It gets very busy on weekends which is what i have noticed. I came here on Saturday and there was this one waitress working. HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! Please put another worker to help. Took so long for my food to get to me this is a big NO. Please get another waiter PLEASE.
I just ordered some chicken chow fun and Hot & Sour soup. I like this soup when I'm not feeling well because it clears me out. This soup is neither hot or spicy. Maybe rename it Luke Warm & dull soup. Time to find new Hot & Sour soup spot in Burbank.

Worst Chinese food ever!!!! The service was awful. I ordered a sizzling rice soup and when they brought it out the presentation was not what I expected , and I have had sizzling rice soup before. I sent it back! And the kung pao chicken was gross!!! The quality of the chicken not fresh for sure! Tasted old. Would NOT recommend this place at all !!!!! The service was not good ! And yes their entrees do not include rice any more.
2/3/25 So..We got there today and saw this on the door "Closed due to “Immigration” " Ifyou are closed today in favor of Illegal Immigration. You do realize that If they are here illegally, that they are breaking the law and you are supporting this? I guess, as much as I like your food, We wont be coming back. I can not support a business who supports people who break the law in our country. You must be careful as the majority of people in this country support whats happening and voted FOR this.
Avoid lunch here -- the daytime cooks are terrible. I hadn't been in ages for lunch and was reminded today why: wrong meal (was correct on order), and the brown rice that they charge extra for was severely undercooked (apparently, the daytime people don't know that brown rice doesn't cook the same as white rice). I will never go back for lunch, and I may avoid dinner from now on given the management doesn't seem to care about quality. I haven't been back in a while, but tried tonight. The new management of Frontier Wok has wrecked the place. There are no Asians cooking the food, and while eating the take-out at home, I found the shells of sunflower seeds in my food. I'm just hoping they weren't spit into the dish by the non-Chinese cooks. Don't go for lunch. Don't go for dinner. Don't go.
Worse I ever had, smells like spoiled meat inside. Eggroll greasy and rice dry and flavorless. They must have messed this batch up and put it in my bag instead of the dumpster.
