The best Chinese Food in all of Burbank. Anything and everythibg is outstanding. We've been eating here since 2003 and we love it! Tell Damion Michael sent you.
Best Chinese food in town that won't break your budget! They offer loads of options to choose from! You get a lot of food for your dollar :) I always see this place run by two people so it's got very "mom and pop" kinda vibes. When the check arrives, they give you fortune cookies as well! Love to eat here💓
The server was very nice. The food was fresh and delicious. The server even gave us a complimentary $15 dish so yummy. The portions of food where more than generous. We are definitely going back. The restaurant was super clean as well. Most importantly air conditioning. 😀 Thanks Sun Moon Garden staff.
The most delicious Chinese cuisine this side of the universe. We always enjoy the mouth watering experience and plateful food they serve. If you haven’t been you’re totally missing out. Come over and get some you will definitely love it.
No Frills restaurant with great food. The restaurant is very clean and simple. The service was fast and the food better than expected. If you looking for some good Chinese food at a fair price. This place is a great option.
The restaurant was great. The bathroom could be better. The food is great they give free rice with any order, the portions are big and the price is great for the amount that they give. The service is nice and every waiter and cook is great.
We love this place. 😍 We live just around the corner, so whenever we have guests or craving Chinese food, this is our place. My favorite is their Orange Beef and House Special Fried Rice. My husband loves their Vegetables Chopsuey and Crispy Noodles. 😋 Everything is good. 👍🏻 When you order for pick up or delivery, they add a small portion of white rice, which I think is nice . But what I love most about this place is the people - from the server, to the cook - they always give you a smile. And I love to support family-own restaurants/businesses. ♥️
The food is so good. Oh so good. The prices are decent for the amount of food that you get. When you order a lot, they even add a free entre which is very nice of them. I have never had wrong orders delivered to me. Communication is a bit hard because of language barrier but we seem to find a way to understand each other good enough that I am very happy with this place.
Super fresh and fast service..The orange chicken was crispy, well coated and noticeably orange with a hint of spiciness. The Kungpao chicken was every bit as favorable as the orange chicken and the vegetables were perfect in texture and taste. I also had an order of vegetable chow mein that was nothing less superb. This is not a fast food quality place as the entrees are rather a full plate. It was my first time stopping in. So I mirrored the last guys order and the three plates will feed two to three adults easily..I live in another city over an hour away and would make the drive to return as the food was a close second to what can only be described as childhood memories.
My husband and I have been ordering food to go from Sun Moon Garden restaurant for the last 14 years. We have eaten many different items from the menu. But our favorite seems to be the Sun Moon special. I truly have never eaten anything from their menu that I didn't like. They have all been very good. Their Sweet and Sour sellection (Pork, Beef and Chicken) is quite yummy. When I order it to go which is always. I choose the white sticky rice that's what I prefer. It is a large portion. So I usually eat the rest the next day and I might add it is very good cold. The staff there is very friendly and thorough. The restaurant is clean as are the bathrooms or perhaps I should say bathroom. Sun Moon Garden's menu has something for everyone. Unfortunately I cannot remember if they serve hot Sake there. I believe so. But don't hold it against me if they don't..
Been a coming here for since I was a baby. My parents used to live in the area and always took me. Great food! Very reasonably priced. The service is always great because it is the same 3 or 4 guys that make it a point to know their customers. I live in Yorba Linda now and still make the drive all the way out to Burbank for their Aromatic Chicken* (special item not on menu but it is amazing)
lunch special is a great deal and good food.
The food here is fantastic. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. We had a larger group so I called the morning of to make a dinner reservation. The price is very reasonable, and the dish portion size was good. We ordered 6 enteees to feed 8 people and everyone had more than enough to be sufficiently stuffed, plus there were leftovers. I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. If you like Mandarin Chineese food then this place is worth a try.
First review of a restaurant for me, but this needs to be heard. Upon opening the door and walking in, there are incredible and mixed smells that assault you immediately, in a great way. It's a mix of fresh bread, roasting meat and fresh garden vegetables being chopped at the same time. Pretty sure this is a family owned establishment because of the immediate welcome, seating and drink order that was offered. I had the chicken and beef with rice, hummus and Greek salad. Perfect char to the meat. Salad was freshly made. Kudos and hats off for this dinner experience, and felt like it should be twice the cost. No BS. Try it!
Very accommmodating!! I had a group of 12 for lunch, mostly seniors, and they were wonderful with reserving a section for us. Food was great and prepared very quickly. And the price was easy on the wallet, around $7 (on average) for each meal. Good portion sizes too. I recommend checking them out.
This little hole-in-the-wall is a hidden gem, in my opinion. I love the flavors, their portions, and their prices! They offer a dinner combination with a main course of your choice from the selected list, eggroll, fried rice, egg soup, and fried crab all for less than 13$! I had the crispy chicken a-la-carte. Definitely try it out for a very good dinner at an HONEST price, service is very friendly too!
Sun Moon Garden is a hidden gem in Burbank. I was recommended to try the restaurant. I went in and met Lynn at the front desk. She was friendly and welcoming. I asked her what the most popular plate was and she said “All of them”. Later I found out that she was correct Sum Moon Garden has been around since 2001. It is a family run business and they have consistent regulars. Every time I go there, the orders are on the table ready to be picked up. There is a constant stream of people coming in and out. I went with the Kung Pao chicken, fried rice and hot and sour soup. Look at my photos. The Kung pao chicken is delicious. I think that this is the best hot and sour soap that I have ever had. The soap is heavy and full of flavor. The location is located on a bend and very easy to miss. There is plenty of parking. Pick up orders are ready in 15 minutes. You will love Sun Moon Garden.
Great quality food, very friendly service and a clean restaurant. I especially loved the eggrolls!
Every time we stay for a night somewhere, we always look for a hole in the wall. This one is it! The food is really good! We have beef broccoli and honey walnut shrimp. They are just perfect! We don’t have to wait long either.
This is my go-to spot for food after a trip. The last thing you want to do when you come home from traveling is cook and this restaurant always hits the spot! Lots of vegetables, large portions, fresh hot green tea and soup with each meal when you eat in. They have lunch and dinner combos, but honestly everything on their menu is awesome. My favorites include orange chicken, szechwan sliced bbq pork, mongolian beef, honey walnut shrimp and the dish I order every single time I go: buddha’s delight. It’s packed with various vegetables in a slightly sweet sauce that delivers the nutrients your body is craving. They offer take out, but I suggest dining in to get the full experience. The walls are decorated with a mix of artwork and images of their food while a pop station plays in the background. You’ll sometimes find the kids doing homework at one of the tables during the week. They’re sustainability friendly too, so if you’d like them to package something up in your own container, they’re happy to do so. So grateful to have a traditional chinese restaurant that’s run by a family like this in the area.

Tasty food at very affordable prices and the service was wonderful! 😋
Honestly some excellent comfort food. Broccoli Beef was hella tender, well seasoned, good price. #cleanplateclub
I love this place. I can’t remember if I had the orange chicken or the general Tso’s chicken, but it was so good. They’re good at doing that thing where it’s crispy in the outside, but soft on the inside. The pork fried rice was perfect too. All of the prices were reasonable and nothing was too expensive either. Pretty surprising with how expensive it is to eat out these days. I don’t think this is a first date place, but if you and the gang just want to put down a bunch of delicious Chinese for cheap before going out, this is the spot.
Food came out quick. It was DELICIOUS. I’m definitely coming back here. It was quit enough to talk. You feel welcomed.
I think this place is authentic to the chinese american experience. I've seen some reviews of this place talking about the attitude of the staff and the vibe of the place throwing them off, and clearly the people writing these reviews grew up going to sterile panda expresses. The food here is great, it feels like I'm eating with my grandma again. Growing up in the asian hotspots of socal, all the good places have exactly this vibe. You get what you want, it's good, and it's cheap. I love this place I hope it stays open forever.
Food is amazing. Been going there for over 20 yrs+. The go to is the Dinner Special. Soft noodles with shrimp. Served with fried rice, egg roll and 1 fried shrimp. The hot tea is also such a treat. I wish they brought back the peas and carrots in their fried rice. Try the Shrimp Chips. My kids fight over it.
Really good flavors in food. The prices here are amazing for the quality and portions. I don't remember paying that low for a full meal in years. Definitely a good place to have lunch or dinner.
We visited here while staying in Burbank. The beef and broccoli and honey walnut shrimp were amazing. I suggest asking the beef and broccoli a little spicy. The server was very attentive, and we loved the food.
Classic Chinese restaurant with lots of value (their dinner plate can feed 2 meals). Their egg drop soup is incredible, and I love their chili oil. Highly recommended
Great food. Nice server. Even though there isn't Chinese words in the menu, the server lady wrote in Chinese. Food is authentic. Honey walnut shrimp is fantastic.

Overall good food, reasonable prices and good service. My only complaint was after our party of 5 finished eating we had to wait quite some time to get our check so we could leave. Aside from that everything was really good.
Nice little hole in the wall, our go to spot for Chinese take out. Scallion pancake is killer, and i really like the beef and green beans. There is only one lady who runs the front of house, so order ahead!
This is a favorite of many of my friends. Older style Chinese menu with lunch and dinner specials, not like the fast-food places with hot food counters. It is run by a small family, so service sometimes takes an extra few minutes, but the food tastes good, and the servings are generous. Easy to share food family style. Very family friendly, and can serve groups as high as nine people at one table. Lazy susan on the larger tables.
This little mom and pop establishment definitely surprised me. Most Chinese restaurants have super greasy food. Not here. Beautifully flavored dishes and the portions are a good size. Great family style cuisine at very reasonable prices. They are all really nice, but could use some extra hands, especially when they get busy. It seems to be a pretty popular spot and I can see why.
I think this is a good place to pick up Chinese food in Burbank. I have tried a few other places and it really is not that good. The folks here are polite and also take orders over the phone. Most of the time I have been here the place has not been that busy. They have a comfortable dining area and I see a lot of families come in to dine. I have tried the regular fried rice, noodles and some other dishes and they have always been pretty good. I have not tried any of their drink but the food portions are good and they pack it well. They accept credit cards and cash. Parking can be a little tight in this strip mall but I have always been lucky. The food is cooked to order and the vegetables are fresh. Overall my go to place in burbank.
Nice place, good food, good portions and mostly good prices! Not so much a fan of their egg drop soup, which is very much corn colored, but the rest of the food makes it a good experience. Staff ... some staff will be friendly and get you greeted and seated promptly. Some ... a little bit of language issues? If I have a special request, one of the main employees always is close enough to make it known.
Food wasn’t amazing, but wasn’t bad at all. Service was really great and food came out quick. Price was extremely reasonable.
No complaints, food OK, beer COLD, tea HOT, the waitress need SOME help to carry all the tables in time.
Delicious family size meals for a great price. Loved the eggplant tofu, pepper and black bean chicken and the orange chicken!

The food taste is worth the money you spend l do recommend is family friendly and not very expensive Except for the silverware 🍽 I don't think they take a good care of it

First time here, I ordered take out. Waited while my food was prepared, pretty fast service! I ordered orange chicken (was too soggy, not crunchy by the time I got home, and a bit too sweet. Would not order again unless I eat it there maybe). The house chow mein on the other hand was great! Loved it!

Orange chicken is decent but the side of white rice comes in a tiny sauce container barely enough for a kids meal. Crab rangoons were mostly filled with carrots and was unnecessarily sweet. They also forgot to give me my soda.
Extremely slow service and filthy. Hard to believe they have a letter grade of A from the health department.
Waitress doesn’t pay attention to you service is more focused on takeouts , so maybe that’s the move but food is okay I wouldn’t go back
Soooo slow service and they finally rushed the order for a lady sitting there for 30 mins, cos she asked on why her order is so slow? Then they rushed out to go orders first while the rest of the dine in customers waited even longer. Wayyyy too salty and oily, even for an Americanized Chinese place. My family had to keep dunking water to wash their palette. Worse part? The shrimps are rotten! When we finish paying the bill, then told them AND showed them. The lady’s response was, there’s NO reason that the shrimp will be spoilt. I then said it’s best they tell the kitchen. She went to let them know, but still no apology for having the slowest service and serving rotten food. Then tried making small talk to ask if we are tourists. Not sure why the reviews are so good about this place, the reason why we came. Never again.

Horrible service. I ordered sweet & sour pork. It was purple from the inside. I asked for a refund & showed her the food. She said it’s real chicken (which isn’t what I ordered) & that im the only one that has complained. I said so real pork is supposed to be purple ? She didn’t want to give me a refund or even provide customer service. I was being respectful & reasonable. She just started yelling at me. I asked to speak with the manager. She claimed she doesn’t know who the manager is or their name & that they weren’t there. I asked for her name & she didn’t want to tell me either. I said so you work here & you don’t know who your boss is ? She eventually called someone & passed me the phone. I spoke to a very very young girl who said she was the manager. (I’m pretty sure she was her daughter or friend.) I explained the situation & right away the little girl told me they’ll give me a refund. It was really weird even after she refunded me she didn’t want to tell me the name of person who I spoke to on the phone or even her name. I would like to complain or report them but I don’t know how to go about it since I don’t even know who the manager is.
FOOD POISONING. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! (ordered hot and sour soup, fish in black bean sauce, beef& broccoli, and beans. The food was all mid, and I got stomach cramps overnight & threw it all up the next day! Below average service as well)
