With my 2 daughters and 8-month old grandson we arrived, Saturday after shopping for last minute nursery item for one of my daughter's that is on her last 4 weeks before baby's arrival. As always this exclusive restaurant, although booked was gracious and accommodated us inside... As always the staff attentive and professional. I had the Salmon which was dressed as beautiful as it was delicious. Paired with a perfect wine. This dinner experience completed a lovely day with my daughters and grandson, even with the Covid covered masks, send sanitizing and social distancing as mandated, my experience was lovely... 8-month Baby, shopping and all. Thank you
The food was delicious with a variety of tasty selections available. The owner changes his menu and specials frequently,, and his wine pairing with food selected is gorgeous.. The food service and host were very hospitable, and the location and parking very convenient. Overall decor was modern and up to date.
Really amazing meal, great service. Staff very considerate, two elderly women were sitting at the table next to me (one was celebrating her 99th birthday!! Wow), staff assisted them with technicalities of getting a ride home and when Uber arrived, escorted them out and helped them into their car. Very courteous and conscious of the safety of their customers. Top notch!! Also had the filet mignon, very nice… I really loved the octopus starter.
Pristine lunch experience! Atmosphere outstanding for ladies who lunch. Service was superior and attention to details are to perfection. A little pricey yes. Portions are small but I prefer to eat for the quality over quantity that we sometimes forget the priority. I chose a petite butter lettuce salad with pear, cheese and raisins topped with two petite crab cakes. Very rich and delicious! My aunt chose the portobello open face sandwich which looked fantastic aside a basket of shoestring onion rings. We were able to sit side by side as I had to read her the menu. My glass of iced tea was never empty in the 95 degree day. The restaurant was cool and comfortable. Parking was plentiful!
Highly recommend . The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and very attentive. Ozzy was our server and he did a great job. We ordered the meatballs, the prawns, the filet mignon, and the halibut and all four items were absolutely delicious. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to have a great experience and delicious food.
I recently went to a wine tasting and dinner party here. The wine tasting was for Vino Minetta. The descriptions of the wine were provided, six different wines were tried, and paired with delicious foods. The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were beautiful and kind, and the service was fantastic. I had an absolutely wonderful night with the dinner, the wines, the desserts, and the service.
Park and Howard is a lovely local restaurant/bistro in Burlingame - not overly flashy, not crazy creative but just really good food and something for everyone. Fresh ingredients, great flavors, comfort food, first class attentive service (have never found myself waiting for anything) and not too loud. I never liked brussel sprouts but the brussel sprout chips are really delicious. Good tuna tartare, octopus, crab cakes, salads, salmon, seared ahi, chocolate lava cake; others in our party said the meat was really good. Upscale but not over the top - just a nice place to go out with a date or a small group.
Such a fabulous restaurant! We've been going for many years. The service is excellent, the space lively yet elegant, the food fantastic. Artichoke beignets, zesty steak tartare, filet mignon, and seared tuna are all special highlights, and you MUST get the bread pudding (far and away the best I've ever had). The best entrée on the menu is the scallops. Don't miss them! The wine list is extensive, and includes an array of affordable bottles (under $75). Very warm, attentive team, and hits the sweet spot for a market lacking in high quality, reasonably-priced upscale restaurants!
What a nice find! Great selection of appetizers and entrees. The octopus was tasty and tender as was the artichoke soup of the day. I had a hard time choosing my entree and finally settled on the short rib pasta and it was tender and super tasty. I tried each of the other three entrees at our table and all were delicious. We finished off with the bread pudding and again hot gold! Their wine list is extensive so come with confidence that you will have a great meal.
Great local restaurant. Excellent food, attentive service, upscale location & atmosphere.
Had Sunday lunch at Park@ Howard. Love the rustic decor. A lot of wines for wine enthusiasts. The food was pretty well cooked and presented beautifully. The ingredients are very fresh. However they are little on the salty side for us. We will be back for dinner.
This is a cozy and welcoming establishment! Service was great and the food was fantastic! We mainly sampled their appetizers - grilled octopus, grilled artichokes and roasted lamb riblets; entrees were seafood linguine and wild mushroom risotto. Each dish was cooked to perfection and a delight to eat.
I was very happy to came across this corner bistro located just a bit off the main Ave in Burlingame. I was going thru a beef tartare phase 😅and had to try their signature dishes to compare with my experience in Paris. It didn’t disappoint…I loved their beef tartare and rack of lamb 😋 Staff were friendly and patient with our questions about their menu. I say check it out.
We came here on a busy Saturday night and the place was packed. We were quickly seated. All the food was delicious and the service was on point. The short rib pasta was especially good.
Held a group dinner for 14 here on a Friday. The process for booking, menu selection, etc., were all very professional and easy. Great menu options, flexible re food allergies, and the room was lovely - if too tight for the cocktail/ circulating hor d'oeuvres concept. People clustered in the 4 corners of the room and didn't have room to really mingle. Considering it was a relatively big group, the food was quite good (though duck was a bit tough & scallops were disappointingly small - not succulent). I would come again. Conundrum is that the minimum was high for our group, so I'd book again for a larger group, but the room would be really too tight for more than, say, 16 people.
The hubby and I are from Los Gatos, and we used to frequent a restaurant in LG very similar to Park & Howard Bistro. Anytime we are in the area, we come here for dinner. We’ve taken our family here for Father’s Day, Easter, and just a random weekend. The food is really good as its made of great quality, craft cocktails are fantastic (they have blue cheese stuffed olives for my dirty martini) and the service is awesome. The ambiance is very lively; good for girls night, boys night, family, date night, all of the above. There isn’t a dedicate parking lot but plenty of street parking. Always love a good meal here and will definitely be back soon.
The best meal I’ve had for a looooong time, especially with the pandemic craziness. ✅Service: it was a busy Monday night (International Women’s Day) and we noticed only 2 waiters and 1 bartender present, however we were seated right away and our drinks showed up seconds after we ordered them. ✅Food: Hot plates were OUTSTANDING. I had a filet mignon entree with mashed potato crockets and asparagus, and my partner had an ahi tuna with the arugula mango salad. Both were excellent. I wanted to lick my plate! Desserts were creme brûlée and chocolate lava cake which were good but honestly nothing to write home about. ✅Atmosphere: Nice, ambient, romantic. White tablecloths, relaxing piano music. ✨Overall: We will be back! ✨
This place is great for an upscale lunch. The Tuna Tartar appetizer was delicious with just the right amount of heat. We had their large sandwiches. The Crab and Salmon Cake sandwich. The Harris Ranch burger with bacon was cooked perfectly medium rare, yum. White tablecloth and cloth napkins and great service made this a celebration to remember.
An excellent addition to Burlingame Ave area restaurants. Great food, service - great spirits and wine selections. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Inside dining is small and close quarters so be aware of this if that bothers you.

The four of us went for our first time the night Burlingame lit their tree. It was crazy downtown. Lots of energy. The restaurant was full. We were so impressed with each dish. Everyone was very happy with their choice. We will definitely return when we move into the neighborhood next month!

Did a lot of research to find a nice dinner spot on a weeknight layover to Hawaii. Made the right choice. Split some apps and an entree. Crab cakes were so good, I ordered another half-order. The mango worried me, but was subtle and a perfect compliment. Scallops prep also first-rate. Solid wine list, fresh beer on tap, super nice bartender, good service. It's a haul to go into SF for dinner on a long trip, and while we may not have had anything as unusual or high-concept as we've had in the city, it was every bit as well-conceived and executed.
The waiters were polite and good service. Ambience was good. The food we had, were the crab cakes, bacon wrapped dates, the Petrole fish sandwich and mussels with Pernod sauce. They were all good and above average. I think it is good for a first date or birthday. Recommendations: I would do the mussels with a Thai basil sauce instead and that would hit a high note. For the dates, they added some cheese filling but I would add a pecan in the date jam.
We came for lunch not brunch on a Sunday. We chose this place so we wouldn't be limited to just brunch food like a lot of restaurants do on a Sunday. We were soooo happy with our choice! Their menu had a nice variety. The restaurant had a nice vibe too! Service was attentive and helpful as well. Heirloom Tomatoes with Burrata- tasty Butter Lettuce salad with grilled chicken- my cousin was happy with her choice Baby Kale with Steak- yum! It tasted a little sweet and savory. This place seemed like a nice meeting spot for groups. I would definitely return just to try their dinner menu.
Had a great time at PHB. Service was on point. Food was great. Menu online looked interesting, and the food did not disappoint. I'll definitely be back. Good selection of craft cocktails. If you're in the area and want to have a great dinner and atmosphere, stop by. I recommend making a reservation to make sure you don't wait and get seated.
The best thing that we ordered was the charcuterie plate, which was very tasty and well presented. The service was excellent! They kept giving us more water without asking, and provided us with a high level of service. In fact, the waitress was smiling from ear-to-ear the entire time she talked to us!
A solid choice for lunch or dinner in Burlingame. Park & Howard serves traditional American fare that is well prepared and skews a bit higher end. Their brussel sprout chips were wonderfully crispy, and one of our favorite dishes. Their salads are beautiful to look at and tasty, albeit a bit small. Their burgers were solid though not particularly stand out. Service is fantastic, and their location right in downtown Burlingame makes them a convenient destination if you live or work in the area.
We had dinner here last Saturday, and since we made an early reservation, there weren't many customers. However, the server didn't greet us right away, which was a bit disappointing. Each of us ordered a cocktail, and we all thought it was mixed very well. For the appetizers, we ordered the beef tartare, which tasted excellent. The grilled octopus was a bit lackluster in comparison, with soft and unappealing texture. For the main course, we ordered pasta, ribeye steak, and duck breast. The pasta was a bit rough and average in taste, while the ribeye steak was also just okay. However, surprisingly, the duck breast tasted very good. Overall, the food was above average, but the service was just average.
Very nice atmosphere and outstanding service. The presentation of the food was excellent. The flavor of the Grilled Lamb Chops was perfect and cooked perfectly Medium Rare, but the meat was tough. The Roasted Lamb Riblets were perfect, very tender, and flavorful. The Crab cakes looked outstanding. The Crab-Shrimp ravioli looked great but were not filled with very much Crab or Shrimp; could not taste the seafood, but it was delicious.
My beef tartar was good. Spaghetti with meatballs were just ok. The pasta would not hold the sauce. Very smooth. They should start buying a more expensive pasta. Cafe affogato was good again.

Came here on a Monday evening and boy were we surprised at how packed it was. Definitely make reservations before you go here as it was super packed that night. The pasta was tasty and cleaned up the plate because the was that good. We were never offered bread, first time that’s happened. Unfortunately we had to sit right by the entrance of the door, when we asked why since we had made reservations we were told that it was all full, yet there was practically no one in the front room. Unsure I’ll be back, but my colleagues seemed to like it.
Park & Howard Bistro has a nice atmosphere and decor. The steak tartare was great as an appetizer, then I ordered the Bone in Ribeye which was ok, nothing special, the sides were good. Service was great, however I was never asked how my food was.

Food was not so flavourful for the amount they charge. Felt like I ate some generic bland pasta. The only good thing I have eaten here is the bread pudding. The seating arrangement is not good , of you are seated near the door - it gets really cold

For some reason the servers walked me the long way around the restaurant through where the servers are to get to my seat instead of directly through the seating area to my seat. It took me a while to remember what year I’m in.
Went to the farmers market that is every weekend today, me and my husband sat down with some snacks from the farmemarket, due to medical issues we decided to take eat some our snacks while we waited for the waiter to bring us the menu. We looked at the menu and picked some items to order. Then the supervisor came to our table saying that we had to leave, because we had food from outside. Assuming that we were not gonna eat or order anything, he kicked us out. He was very rude, and his customer service was awful. I would not come back to this place even know I have not even tried the food.
Food was average at best, nothing special. Request that we were price cautious and request help from both the event managers and serves for the price of drinks but still brought out pricey drinks without informing us that they were additional. I told them that I was disappointed with them trying to get an additional cash grab from us and told them I’d appreciate if they told us sooner of the prices as I requested previously. They finally told us that they would give us a refund the next day and never did. If you want to go to a fine dining restaurant, definitely look elsewhere. Owners were rude and I feel bad for the servers because they’re just doing their job but communication between both them and the owners are terrible. Don’t go to this place cause they will find a way to take more money from you.
