Awesome pizza, crust was perfect, great spotting, toppings were just the right amount. Great pre-made topping options with a large assortment of condiments to add-on. Lovely, clean, inviting space, beats the other gourmet pizza places in Burlingame for value for money and taste.

Great pizza with excellent topping choices as well as a white sauce in case you don't want red sauce. Good happy hour deals on beer and wine. I liked the side bar of extra toppings especially the hot peppers and fresh basil leaves. Fun place to eat with alfresco dining on the front patio.

We enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant. We ordered Brussel sprouts with bacon which everyone liked. The BBQ chicken and spinach artichoke pizza was well received by everyone. This place is definitely worth checking out because the food is good and it's in Downtown Burlingame. Downtown Burlingame has other restaurants and eateries on the same street. Be prepared to pay more due to location.

The ambiance and service are great and the pizza is totally delicious. We had a margarita pizza on our first visit and we're totally impressed. It came promptly and was just the right level of crisp. The iced tea is also great - not too sweet.

Awesome pizza on Burlingame. Super hard working staff, especially the tall bus boy. Hard worker, didn't get his name. Excellent food at a great price! Had a free sample, then went in for dinner next day. Sample and dinner were great! Its my weekly treat now. The delicious smell brings me in every time.

We love the atmosphere at Rise. There is always a good game on the projection TV. The fire pit outside is awesome. The pizza is the closest thing to authentic Napoli pizza that I’ve found anywhere in the US. Ricky, Jose and the crew always take care of big parties. This is our new “go to” spot for team parties. Kid friendly and family friendly. Great beers on tap. The prosciutto and arugula pie is my favorite.

This is a really nice place. The bruchetta is invigorating, the dough delicate and perfectly cooked, and Pironi on tap. I've had two pizzas and now definitely lean towards the "crushed tomato" side of the menu. The non-tomato may be great for those that cannot partake, but I was definitely a little underwhelmed by the missing flavor and texture, not realizing I was ordering a sauce-less high-temp flatbread. Nonni and Foozi are both fixtures in this restaurant. I don't think they could do it without them!

Thin crust wood fired neapolitan style pies...really good and priced reasonable. Tried the salsiccia italian sausage pizza and burrata salad, both were really nice. The meatballs and flour less chocolate cake was okay. Friendly staff and the outdoor patio has a nice relaxing feel and ambiance. I would definitely come back for the pizza !

Omg...AMAZING lil pizza spot in Downtown Burlingame...just loved it. Wood-fired pizza always has my heart and this place is no exception! The crust was perfect. Ordered the lemonade, a pizza to share with three of us, a meat board, a cheese board, and wings and ALL of it was delicious. The server was very kind and efficient.. thank you! We will be back!

Great pizzas. The crusts are thin, but the texture and flavor are fantastic. The toppings, sauce and cheese are just right. The wood fired oven gives an extra flavor, which makes it even better. Well with a visit!

My wife and I ordered take out from this place. We tried the carne and the double pepperoni. Both were cooked well with some char on the crust as it should be. We recommend getting the pepper ranch. We also eat the brownie chocolate chip cookie. Would strongly recommend!

One of the most unique and delicious pizzas I have ever had! It was spicy and sweet the prefect pizza! I also tried their brick fire veggies, fired to perfection. Would recommend as a must try if your in the area, I would not pass up on Rise. The staff was amazing just like their food!

Surprisingly quick service and amazing pizza! The pizzas are mostly not like chain restaurants' --red sauce with cheese and meat. We shared a beef rib pie that was not tangy, but savory, cheesy with crispy, fresh greens and the crust like pita bread, but thinner. Amazing! A bit pricy ($22) I loved it! They make the pizza right behind the the counter, so you can see it made. Pizza served in just a few minutes. Next time, I'll try the draft beers.

It used to be my favorite pizza place in Burlingame. Last time the service wasn't the same. Not very effective or even friendly as used to be. The pizza was burned and wasn't even busy at lunchtime. Hopefully was just a bad day.

Rise Pizzaria is my family's first choice for pizza night. Rise won my choice because of the great wood oven puff. The choice of pizzas are excellent and my choices are the Prosciutto Pizza and Fungi Pizza. The pizzaria is always busy and sometimes loud. Rise Pizzeria is the perfect place when you're craving pizza but want something nicer than Pizza My Heart, but quicker and less expensive than Pizzeria Delfina. Fresh ingredients, family-friendly but upscale setting, great pizza place all around. Rise deserves to become a Burlingame institution in the years ahead.

Interesting restaurant in the hearth of Burlingame. While the somewhat over-featured oven may not make that much of a difference, the quality of their ingredients definitely makes their food stand out. The Quattro Formaggio pizza – with a Italian Ham add-on – was nothing but fantastic. The gorgonzola was used very carefully, adding the perfect amount of taste to the dish. The ham was surprisingly good. While reading the menu, the “Italian Ham” entry sounded like a buzzword, but upon eating it one can easily tell it’s definitely up to what can be found in Italy. Overall, a fantastic restaurant with very reasonable prices, great staff and unique ambiance.

The pizza is made fresh and the dough is so perfectly chewy. Lots of topping choices and good beer on tap. I love this place.

Had lunch here and ordered the brussel sprouts, burrata, meatballs, cheese plate, artichoke and spinach pizza and the pepperoni with raw honey and jalapeno pizza. 100% recommend - maybe, just don't order as much. It was a great place for catching up with friends and enjoying food.

Great pizza place, with delicious food and nice ambience. Surprisingly good and authentic pizza, rivalling places in Italy, which is unusual for pizza in US. Highly recommended. Also they got a great apple pie, one of the best I tried in US.

A surprise to say the least. Being from the East coast, specifically Philly/NYC I am very critical of pizza. The pizza options were many and all delicious. Yes, I said all! Being able to attend a small family party I was given the chance to try many types of pizza as well as the wings and the Caesar salad. The dough was very light, crispy and a nice fresh flavor, tomato sauce was mildly sweet, with a good amount of tomato chunks. The cheese on several was better than most, but still had more oil than what I like. Pepperonis were small, but plentiful with great flavor. The prosciutto and Arugula topped pizza was my favorite and the biggest hit at the affair. I would rank this place as better than most and can easily stand up against East Coast pizza. The meatballs lacked consistency in taste as well as being held together with breadcrumbs and egg if the made them that way. Don’t get me wrong, the meatballs were good, just not what I want to see in a meatball. Lucky if you live in Burlingame as this place would be on my frequent short list of places to eat.

Happy hour is such a great deal! Been back again and tried more and they have all been delicious!

Best local pizza I’ve had since moving to the Bay Area. I like a basic margarita pie, especially when I try a new place, so that I can compare between spots. Each ingredient was perfect- the crust was delicate, the mozzarella was the ideal blend of creamy and salty, and the sauce was amazing. Don’t miss out on the topping bar either. Update: The burrata mozzarella pizza is great too! A special treat.

Good crust, way to much cheese for the thin crust (is that possible??? Yes...) Friendly service... Needs diet Coke though. Update- I love that a response was given and my complaints were heard. I totally understand the diet coke thing and will go for wine next time :D - and the crust really is great so I'll be going back. The Margarita pizza need a lighter hand of cheese when on thin crust. Pizza is fast and service is friendly. It’s not as good as some of the better Neapolitan places around but we like coming here because it is typically relaxed and speedy and spacious. Self serve condiments and drinks are nice. The meatballs are great.

Pizzas were very good. Beautiful thin base in a hot wood fire oven. They could improve their toppings to match the quality of the crust. For example, the pancetta was almost all fat and the mushrooms lacked flavor. Having said that, this is bar far the best pizza in Burlingame and on par with anything in the city. Much better than the over hyped Delfina across the road. Note to owner: My mushroom pizza was nothing like the photo you've posted on here. The mushrooms were small and lacked flavor (see photo posted here). They weren't the beautiful big portabellos shown on your pizza. I'll also mention that our two pizzas arrived 20 minutes apart. Not great when you want to eat together.

Quick service. The food was good but not spectacular. Had the chop salad and I didn't really care for the red lettuce as it added a bitter taste to the salad. My wife didn't mind it but I didn't care for it. The pizza came out quickly and was so so. We ordered the potato and bruschetta pizza. It needed a little bit more meat flavor to the pizza. Maybe next time I'll try the meat pizza and see how it tastes and satisfies me. Overall good experience and I'll give the restaurant one more shot.

Pizza is above average. Great location (as long as you don't have to park incredibly close) and a relatively good selection of IPA on tap as well as wine choices. Condiments are well above average as well. It can get pricey after drinks and starters but if you are not satisfied by a Round Table special and want a more refined, adult, wood fired pizza meal you can do a lot worse.

pizza and appetizers were great! prices reasonable for burlingame avenue. atmosphere and seating indoor/outdoor comfortable and inviting. the only thing was the waiters were kind of confused (maybe new hires?) and brought us other people's food not one, not two, but three times. we were honest and told them that we didn't order those things but not sure why there was so much confusion.....

1 pizza is 6 slices. We ordered the BBQ chicken and beef back rib pizza. Both good, but beware the beef back rib pizza had tiny crushed bones in it and once in a while you would chomp down on one. Quite annoying.

Great ambiance. Tasty pizzas. Ok service. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. The veggie and margarita pizzas were good but one took much longer to come. The sides of one of the pizzas were burnt, although I am assuming that is not usual.

They have gluten free crusts that is actually pretty good. This is a self serve type establishment. There appears to be a private room for parties. Indoor and outdoor seating. Feels like a well run and thought out establishment. 7 out of 10 for this type of pizza. I'm a new yorker at heart so I prefer simpler pizza as opposed to this type of California foo foo pizza but these are good.

Looking for nice wood fired pizza in san mateo are this might be a good place to start. They also have a customized pizza option along with bunch of vegetarian options.

Very nice Cesar salad , we had two pizzas , Margarita and the one with meatballs and plus we added some mushrooms, I did not liked the texture and the flavor of the meatballs , the pizza crust was ok , but my favor Pizza it is a Mezzaluna Restaurant near Halfmoon bay, I like all different pizzas they make, but my favorite one it is smoked salmon with Mascarpone ,the crust very nice and crunchi , I loved it !!

I recently tried Rise Pizzeria and I was really impressed. The thin-crust pizza was crispy and light, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I loved the creative combinations they offered and the beer & wine selection was delightful. The service was also great; everyone was friendly and efficient. It's a little pricier than some other pizza places, but in my opinion, the quality of the food makes it worth it. I'll be back

Nice Italian style pizza. Pizzas were delicious. Burratta was yummy. The salad was under seasoned. Not enough dressing and literally lettuce and a couple slices of some kind of squash I think. Overall very nice pizzas and they provide good service. Place was busy, server opened up a room up stairs for us to eat at.

Rise pizzeria is my go to place or Napolitano pizza. There is another larger place in San Mateo but this is a more welcoming place even though the other place is bigger and cooler. The service is good and gets the job done. I recommend almost all the pizza but highly recommend the margherita pizza in particular (basic tomato and cheese based pizza with basil). If you dine-in definitely try the special Napoli pizza instead. The shrimp one is also delicious. In the end every pizza is great if you like actually Italian style pizza.

Good pizzas here. They are one size. We ordered wings $16, funghi (mushroom) pizza $21 and arugula/prosciutto $21. The wings were plain and lacked flavor. I'm used to something with more flavor. The arugula/prosciutto pizza smelled great. It tasted even better. The crust and dough could have been better. My favorite is the funghi. Those pieces of mushrooms mixed well with the cheese. Good job Rise Pizzeria.

A slightly expensive fancy pizzeria in downtown Burlingame. I liked the food but didn’t think the prices were justified. I liked the margherita pizza which had thin wood fired pizza slices with basil and mozzarella. Also got the burrata with pesto, arugula and cherry tomatoes which came with some dry toasted bread. For drinks we had a mocktail which had berries and pomegranate juice and was quite refreshing. Wish they could increase portion sizes.

Good pizzas here. They are one size. We ordered wings $16, funghi (mushroom) pizza $21 and arugula/prosciutto $21. The wings were plain and lacked flavor. I'm used to something with more flavor. The arugula/prosciutto pizza smelled great. It tasted even better. The crust and dough could have been better. My favorite is the funghi. Those pieces of mushrooms mixed well with the cheese. Good job Rise Pizzeria.

A slightly expensive fancy pizzeria in downtown Burlingame. I liked the food but didn’t think the prices were justified. I liked the margherita pizza which had thin wood fired pizza slices with basil and mozzarella. Also got the burrata with pesto, arugula and cherry tomatoes which came with some dry toasted bread. For drinks we had a mocktail which had berries and pomegranate juice and was quite refreshing. Wish they could increase portion sizes.

Visited for some happy hour treats. The limited beer selection has enough to satisfy our specific beer cravings at the time (including a couple of IPAs). The employees are friendly but the whole prepay and order then sit yourself thing is odd for me. I personally prefer the sit down, look at the menu and take my time before ordering. The pizza was okay for the price ($8 happy hour special)...pretty soggy and runny towards the centers but the flavour was decent. Ordered half and half of the roasted pepper meatball and spicy jalapeno with honey.

Pretty mediocre version of Blaze pizza except 2x the price! Amazing cookie dessert and service is awesome but pricing isn't equal to the quality, especially the $4 basil pesto charge for adding a drizzle even if it is homemade. :( overall pretty average

Edit: The quality has noticeably decreased. The ingredients are skimpy, the dough is just normal now. Not really worth the price. The restaurant is picturesque and tries hard to be authentic with loud pronouncement of the provenance of their prominently displayed oven. The ingredients are similarly showcased to telegraph the care the pizzeria devotes to its food. To be fair, the food really are great. The pie doughs are excellent, thin and chewy without bloating you. I've tried a variety of pies, both vegetarian and meat, and they all use their ingredients to stand out from one another. You'll want to try them at least one slice of each, and you won't get bored with the second slice. The burrata are refreshing and tasty, but the amount you get for the price seems meager. Great food that will draw me back again and again.

this place has gone downhill from previous visits. pizza was fine - got the napoli - but the brussel sprouts were overcooked so they were mushy. thankfully they decided not to charge us for them when we told them about it. the server was nice but couldn’t really answer a couple basic questions about the menu. the one who brought out the pizza placed it on the edge and waited for us to move the plates around to make space for it - not the most helpful nor what i expected. overall a meh experience. maybe it was because we were among the first customers of the day but i’ll likely go elsewhere for pizza around here in the future.

Meh. Everything was ok. Caesar salad was limp with rubbery croutons and what I suspect is a mayo-based dressing. Pretty flavorless. The pizza was better, crust a bit flat but maybe that’s what it was meant to be. White sauce was more or less unflavored, IMO, and the dates and mushrooms were minimal. It was basically a red onion pizza. I’m full but won’t likely be back. Service was barely adequate, although I was there at the hour between lunch and dinner, so maybe shift change?

The establishment is nice, but the atmosphere is meh. Pizza is good. Mimosa goos. Staff seemed disconnected the 3 times I've visited. But, don't take my word, please go visit yourself.

Not a bad tasting pizza, but the crust is so soft. No crisp at all. Definitely needs salt.

I ordered a white sausage pizza through uber delivery. It took about 40 minutes which is fine for pizza on a Friday night. However, when I got the pizza the dough was raw and floppy, the vegetables were completely uncooked (onions and brussel sprouts) and the cheese was half melted. The ratings were so high so I was excited to try this place out, but ultimately was highly disappointed. Wont be coming here again

Grossly overpriced for an OK pizza at best. Service was the saving grace because the staff is excellent and kind. But, the lack of variety in animals is a massive negative. My pizza (artichoke, spinach, and garlic) would have been significantly better with some chicken, but they only have pig and beef.

Wood fire wings are good . Ambiance amazing. Pizza ok, you cant make ur own and any changes it’s complicated and its additional. Chill place

One of the worst costumer service you can have we went there and the waiter was so rude he was not happy why we stand on the line waiting to be seated, he threw the menu on the table and left we couldn’t even order so sad because it was our first time and last, I really wanted to try the pizza

My order came out to 49.39 and I gave them 100 and they gave me a 50 back. And left out my change

We ordered a Gluten free pizza and it came over cooked two times, the crust was burned twice and they ignored the situation even I told them again. It was a special occasion, my wife Birthday and she ate a burned pizza at the end.

The worker tried to turn on the heater up on the ceiling and stepped on to a table that any customer can sit and eat pizza. After stepped onto the table with shoes, never cleaned that table 😣 We will never be back again after this issue…
