Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Am I ever glad I stopped in yesterday! Atmosphere is nostalgic as it reminds one of a 50's-60's style roadside "joint". Staff was exceptionally friendly & following all COVID guidelines. Although it appears as if there is no parking, there is ample free parking behind. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. I ordered the Big Blue (2 patties, bleu cheese, bacon, tomato, & mayo) & beer battered onion rings. Not sure I've had a better bleu burger anywhere. Everything was fresh, hot, & perfectly done. Service was fast, too. I'll definitely be back to sample other burgers/treats.

First time eating there. We each got the Big Blue burger. It was fantastic. It had plenty of blue cheese crumbles, and bacon. The fries are really good too. We will definitely be back.

First visit to this nostalgic decorated restaurant. We tried the Bison burger which was one of the specials. It was absolutely delicious! It was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. The other thing we tried was the Mahi Mahi burger. It was a very generous piece of fish and seasoned well. Loved it! The Cole slaw was crisp and tasty. Sadly the onion rings weren't great, mostly breading. However staff was friendly and we would definitely go back!

This place was amazing! The burgers there are awesome, the staff was very friendly, and I only waited about 10 minutes for my food. Sitting outside, you get a good view across the street at the water. They also have old style items all over the place which is pretty cool.

I cannot say enough great things about Burger Station. I wish I could give Burger Station more than 5 stars. The burgers are the BEST! You can tell the beef is never frozen. The onion rings and regular fries are also amazing. The food was incredible and the people working were so kind and friendly. We arrived only about 10 minutes to close and not only did they serve us, they made us feel welcome like we were at home. Then several more people came in after us, well beyond the close time, but they didn’t turn anyone away and showed everyone the same kindness they showed us. You will be missing out if you don’t stop at Burger Station. Go!

I always enjoy my lunches at the Burger Station though recently apprehensive when I saw a health department review and saw there was a small violation+ -- which was quickly taken care of and passed re-inspection. "Mold in ice machine" Look at this blue cheese burger with bacon! It was loaded! Who would not love this burger, besides a vegetarian? I savored every mouthful, and gave thanks for it. So SO good! My once in a month beef splurge! Well done Burger Station! Going to keep you on your toes with my review!

Best food and shakes!! Looking for a classic, delicious, memory-maker?? You gotta stop at Burger Station when going through the Inverness area. Burgers are amazing (try the bison)! Fish is mouth-watering, and the wings are phenomenal! I had the garlic parmesan. Make sure you upgrade to the crunchy tatter tots. The shakes (strawberry) are just like Grandma use to make. They also have a great variety of malts, floats, and ice cream cones. The atmosphere is fun and perfect for a great kid/family memory. Also, the service outstanding! Great people and efficient at what they do! We will definitely be back soon!

BIG SURPRISE along the road. Looking for a place to stop on our way home. Old Highway 41 gas station made into great little burger joint with a nice view of the lake with covered outdoor seating ideal for bringing your dog. Had their swiss-mushroom burger and wife had the HUGE hot dog. Really premium food.

This restaurant reminds me of the old drive in Burger places you would go to as a teenager on Saturday nights. Food is good, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is laid back.

I am a big supporter of local businesses. This place is amazing. They never freeze their beef and it is locally sourced. That means very fresh burgers. They also have really good BBQ if you prefer that. Top it off with their soft serve ice cream and it is pure perfection. This is one of my favorite places to eat.

This was my first visit to burger station, the outside was pretty busy but there was still a few tables available inside and outside. I looked over the menu and decided to go with the chubby chuck a triple patty triple cheese with bacon monster sized burger, I also decided to pay a little extra and get the sweet potato fries, the meal also comes with coleslaw. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly and they are served with a side of marshmallow fluff sauce which goes perfectly with them (almost like a sweet potato casserole), the coleslaw was great as it was full of flavor and went great with the meal. Now lets get to the real reason people go to burger station (the burgers) like I had stated earlier I ordered the triple patty burger because I had recently visited Paige's Root Beer and had also ordered a triple patty burger so I figured if I was going to accurately compare burgers I should order the closest comparable burgers I could. When the food was brought over to me the first thing I noticed was the burger patties at burger station were much larger, there was lots of cheese, and the bacon was very think and crispy. The burger station burger overall was so massive I couldn't fit the whole top to bottom in my mouth, the meat was seasoned and it wasn't greasy, the bun was soft and tastful and the tomatoes were firm. The comparison between the two comes down to size for me as both companies have a tasty burger but burger stations burger size is massive and flavorful. I also wanted to state the staff is very friendly and everyone in the kitchen wears gloves while cooking and preparing your food. If you have never been your really missing out on a gem of a restaurant in Citrus County.

Wow! Amazing burgers. This place is on the main drag and is worth a stop. If it’s nice out, grab a table outside and enjoy the lake views. But, above all, order a burger. I believe mine was the best I’ve ever had. Onion rings and chocolate malt were also solid choices.

We both loved the food (it's pricey but worth it). He had the burger station double cheese burger dressed, I had the the mushroom & swiss burger (it was a double pattie also) We also shared the onion rings and sweet potato fries (they come with a lurker cup of whiooed marshmallow cream!) and the little coleslaw that comes with it, and 2 drinks ($32) then we shared a small chocolate malt shake- delicious. We ate outside, which was nice they have antiques out there and fall decor and there's a beautiful lake across the road and we watched boats go by. We'll definitely make the trip back just to eat there-again and again. 😋

If you're in the area and want a delicious made true American burger. This is the place. So delicious. The atmosphere adds so much more to the experience. The food was delicious. Especially their coleslaw and sweet potato fries! Omg it comes with a side of marshmallow sauce for the fries. So freaking good! The restaurant also sits across a beautiful view of the lake.

I'm so glad I stopped by Burger Station when I had some business in Inverness. I got the Burger Station burger, and it was fantastic. The patties are seasoned well with what seems like steak seasoning (probably McCormick actually; it was extremely familiar). The crinkle-cut fries were light and fluffy, and the fry seasoning was balanced well. I got a "swirl shake" made from swirled soft serve. It was unique and delicious, light and refreshing instead of so thick you can turn it upside down. The entire place has rustic charm, and that extended to the outdoor seating. Indoors was jam packed with people, so I sat outside. There is more outdoor seating than indoor, in part because the building is extremely small. Stop on by if you can!

The food is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The quality of the food is phenomenal and the portions are more than generous. They offer inside dining and outside dining options with beautiful lake views. Highly recommend giving these guys a visit if you’re in the area!

You place your order at the counter & they bring it to your table. They do have outside seating. The atmosphere is nostalgic with great music. The total for our meals was $42.

We were on vacation we decided to try this place and we were in heaven with the food. Friendly staff burgers ready quick if you are in a hurry and doing take out.I imagine it's the same for dinning in but have only done take out so I don't really know the only downside is if you plan on doing tap and pay it's hit and miss on it working so be prepared to use a different form of payment also good sweet tea

I have been dying to come to burger station! My family and I just moved here almost 2 years ago and most times I drive by, this small but cute burger joint is always busy! For a quick anniversary celebration and for some family time, my husband and I took our kids here for the first time yesterday. It was on the slower side so my husband did not believe my hype, until we ate the food 😊 We were all really blown away, especially with their shakes! My only regret is not getting a photo before I ate all my food. I usually don’t care for photos but you could tell the quality of the food just by looking at it. To start with, the view is picturesque with an amazing view of Hernando lake across the street. You can sit inside or outside. The staff was all very friendly and professional. I had a mushroom swiss burger, crinkle cut fries and a soggy pickle the only downer. Seemed like the pickle got warm through the day. My wife had the same as me along with a nice glass of moscato cupcake wine and it was a generous glass. The burger was above average yet nothing to scream about. Fries were plentiful, hot and delicious. I decided to save some fries and indulge in a very delicious strawberry shake with whipped cream and cherry to make it a overall great experience that I would definitely recommend a try.

Really nice little burger joint with a beautiful view of the lake and a nice slim menu that makes it easy to choose an item. Staff was friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The cole slaw and root beer float were great, 5 star quality there. The tots were only ok, they were a bit soggy but that could have been because I brought them home 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the star of the show was just not that impressive. I ordered a chubby chuck three patty burger, the patties kind of reminded me of wendys but round, very uniform looking. The seasoning was very underwhelming, I would say almost no seasoning at all. The ground beef was ok, it was above fast food quality but nothing outstanding. Cheese and spicy sauce was good, but i'd have preferred lettuce over the default slice of tomato. Bacon was just not that good, on the chewy side and basic flavor. Overall, not bad, price is pretty much what you would expect for a non-fast food burger place. Slaw and shakes are a win, would visit again and see if I can knock up the score to 5 with their smoked BBQ menu.

First time. Decent selection of burgers, BBQ, and other options. Quality of the protein seems to be the primary focus. Service was average. Could use some enthusiasm. Flavor is what you make it. Especially when having the mushroom swiss. It lacked the flavoring I am accustomed to. Picked up spicy brown mustard and that helped to elevate it. The good thing, you can make it what you want! 😎 We will be back to check the BBQ out. Update to come.

We visited the Burger Station during the summer of 2025. It has a nice location near the intersection of routes 200 & 41. There is a view of the lake. Although it’s better in certain spots, while not visible in others. I liked the decor that fit this old gas station well. It has seating inside and out. Inside is kind of small, but has some tables and booths. They have some nice memorabilia to give it character. We ate inside because it was hot and a storm came through as we arrived. The menu is kind of limited. And we found the prices to be on the higher side. We ordered two of the less expensive burgers (that does come with fries or tater tots). There are other options that come with an up charge. Coleslaw is also included, if you request it. We also ordered one soda. I found the food decent/good, but truth be told, I have had better. The wife didn’t find it all that great. So opinions on the food, the facility and the prices may and will vary. As I said, we ordered two of the less expensive burgers that were just basic burgers (nothing fancy), and one soda. The price for the two burgers (fires included) and one soda was almost $31, plus tip. You must pay up front when ordering and I guess tip upfront, since it’s on the credit card slip(if you pay by plastic). I never like being asked to tip up front, since I feel I am being extorted until I actually have my food in my possession. I’m not saying anyone would do anything, but I admit that I do think about it. As such, I feel I have to give a good tip, even though, I order, pay and clean up the table myself, before I leave. Other than deliver the food to your table, you do all the work other than take the oder and cook the food. So now you’re looking at close to $40 for two burgers and one coke. So yes, I feel that Burger Station is over priced. There is one unisex restroom outside and out towards the rear of the building. I bet many a person looks around before asking where it is. The outside of the building is also nice with seating with the better views of the lake and such.But you are out in the weather. All in all, Burger Station is a nice, but a quirky little burger joint. I thought the food was decent. But I’m not sure how likely I am to return at these prices. We can get two bigger and arguably better burgers, fries, drinks and even two ice cream deserts for less money than the Burger Station, closer to us. Or at least in the same ball park in price. That is also with multiple options of restaurants to choose from. But maybe not take other peoples word for it and try Burger Station for yourself. They are pretty good.

It was Friday, so my wife and I had the fish sandwich, which was good but nothing special. When we return we will try the burgers. The price was over $40 for 2 fish sandwiches, fries, drink, and tip. Way more than you would expect at a burger joint.

A FEW CHANGES... The burgers mainly. This was the place that I judged all other burger places by. The taste, service and price made it a must stop if you are in the area. Don't get it wrong the burgers are still good, but like all places inflation has taken its toll. Perhaps the cook was having an off day, could be some items are sold out. The service was good, and it was busy. But not as excellent as in the past. We will miss the old cook. The burgers have changed, small patties and regular buns. The burgers used to be big and filled the buns and had a real fresh taste. Not sure what happened and hope ya'll make it like it used to be. We visited the Burger Station during the summer of 2025. It has a nice location near the intersection of routes 200 & 41. There is a view of the lake. Although it’s better in certain spots, while not visible in others. I liked the decor that fit this old gas station well. It has seating inside and out. Inside is kind of small, but has some tables and booths. They have some nice memorabilia to give it character. We ate inside because it was hot and a storm came through as we arrived. The menu is kind of limited. And we found the prices to be on the higher side. We ordered two of the less expensive burgers (that does come with fries or tater tots). There are other options that come with an up charge. Coleslaw is also included, if you request it. We also ordered one soda. I found the food decent/good, but truth be told, I have had better. The wife didn’t find it all that great. So opinions on the food, the facility and the prices may and will vary. As I said, we ordered two of the less expensive burgers that were just basic burgers (nothing fancy), and one soda. The price for the two burgers (fires included) and one soda was almost $31, plus tip. You must pay up front when ordering and I guess tip upfront, since it’s on the credit card slip(if you pay by plastic). I never like being asked to tip up front, since I feel I am being extorted until I actually have my food in my possession. I’m not saying anyone would do anything, but I admit that I do think about it. As such, I feel I have to give a good tip, even though, I order, pay and clean up the table myself, before I leave. Other than deliver the food to your table, you do all the work other than take the oder and cook the food. So now you’re looking at close to $40 for two burgers and one coke. So yes, I feel that Burger Station is over priced. There is one unisex restroom outside and out towards the rear of the building. I bet many a person looks around before asking where it is. The outside of the building is also nice with seating with the better views of the lake and such.But you are out in the weather. Unfortunately closed M,T,W, but looks cool. Went down the Withlacoochee Trail a bit and found the back gate to Sebina's Diner. Lucky day !

It was good... massive burgers.. it was a bit pricey for what we got and the guy working was flirting with the girls but not trying to make it obvious and was weird. I hope they find better employment because they werent even 20 and dealing with this... minus 2 stars just for their sakes...

What a disappointment. It looked so charming. But the food was extremely salty, both of our orders were incorrect and my fries were undercooked. And I love crinkle cut fries. Service was apathetic and clearly something was off because someone with a take-out order called to say their order was wrong too. The bathroom was dirty as well. I hope the owners make the necessary improvements because it’s in a great location and could be great.

The pulled pork sandwich done me in. More like pulled pork loaf, except a loaf is usually dryer.....in this case the meat was dryer than a loaf. Beans were good and slaw was just slaw.

Meh. I expected a really great burger based on the name of the place. It was just okay. The fries were greasy and battered. The service was great thought. Really nice people.

Stopped by here on the way back to Homosassa, I absolutely love the old stone building and the lake view is a huge bonus. The menu is limited, but no big deal. I wanted to try some of the smoked items but I figure if I go to a “burger station” I best get a burger. I decided to get the triple because to add a patty was only an extra dollar, so I assumed they would be quite small patties. They are, but three was quite the meal. That being said, they lacked flavor even drenched in sauce. Meh. The fries were… a bit strange. They were crispy, yet kind of densely chewy at the same time. The service was friendly, but they don’t really do anything. I don’t know why in such a small space you wouldn’t offer table service, a single strong person could handle it and then you’d feel like you’re actually tipping for something. Prices are on the high side for what you get, but not ridiculous. The mustard cap was so gross, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned as it had old crusted mustard all over it. Overall I feel this place has a ton of potential, but for me fell below the mark. If I’m ever in the area again I will pass this place and try something else.

I've came to this restaurant since they opened, you had to pay for fries separately back then. So this review pains me to write. Things used to be amazing you could not find a table here. Lately there have been menu changes. You no longer get the coleslaw that is advertised on the menu. The fries are no longer the crispy crinkle fries that were hand cut in the restaurant. And when you go green it is two TINY leaves of lettuce no longer befitting the burger. I understand that in this economy business is tough. But you used to be great. Do better.

Worst hamburger I've ever had. Same as a McDonald's hamburger.

Time to think. Often when I have a bad experience I give it some thought before acting. So here it is .my brother and I went to eat hear ,he said it had a good reputation. So we ordered our food and sat down. The food came quickly.so we prepared to eat I got the ketchup bottle and when I opened the lid a forceful shot of ketchup squirted all over my clothes , phone ,wall ,and table and splattered on my brother.. the waitress came over but one of the owners took over. We changed tables and cleaned up. By the time we ate the food was cold. The food tastes horrible. I've never had worse. The salt shaker had food stuck to it. Nasty . No sincere apology . No compansation . Eat here at your own risk.

Was my first time there and after 45$ and hour later I will not be back the food was disgusting I don't know how a burger and be burnt and still raw at the same the sweet tea tastes like unsweet tea my husband's got a steak sandwich and asked for extra mayo and was told it in the table u can do it urself witch is fine but she didn't have to say it with a attitude as we told her when we first time coming and as we left was never ask how anything was or anything would not recommend

Instead the burgers were overcooked, the chicken was bland, and I'm still not sure how to feel about spending $83 for lunch for 3 kids and a mama except disappointed and taken advantage of, to say the least. I would not consider this a family friendly restaurant averaging $20 per person including 3 "kid's menu" items. We literally got three kids cheese burgers with fries, a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and I subbed out 3 of the drinks for milk shakes. The fries are double battered, and the shakes were quite small. The service was quick, although prickly. It's a small place with some booths and tables, and it seems like they are going for a vintage look. It's one of those places that don't feel very welcoming unless you're a regular. The prices are super inflated, for food that rivals Dairy Queen at best. (No offense to the DQ). Overall this was a disappointing experience, and I so hated that for them and us.

Went yesterday third time in six years first time burgers we got were hot & delicious. So I got a single burger with cheese, fries and unsweetened tea. Prices were really high for the low quality of food, my cheese was not melted and the burger was not even hot when it was broght out. It seems like they switched to a low quality soy burger not real beef or a very bad qualityof beef, fries were decent but over prices for small amount, were luke warm. Unsweetened tea was only thing good & the view of the lake.
