⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was fresh and delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. I really enjoyed my visit—everything was on point! I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Sonic if you’re looking for great fast food and even better service!
This location has it together!!! I went at 3pm didn't wait longer than 10 min for 30 dollars worth of food. Lovley cashier and car hop. Order was perfect and hot.
Old town Katy Sonic is among the best in the US. My burgers are always fresh and hot, assembled well. The service is friendly and fast. And it has that old Sonic vibe.
Wayyyyyyyyy better than it was a couple years ago. Everything is fixed, and the food is consistently good.
Update: they fixed the terrible parking lot! I had been emailing and contacting customer service for months because the parking lot was terrible for customers and employees! The potholes were unnecessarily deep, thank goodness they fixed it!! I’ve been here three times in the past week because the service is unmatched. The food is good and they make the orders exactly how you ask on the app. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. I appreciate everyone who works there. This is the one of the best locations in my opinion.
Fries were hard and cold. Car hop didn't have any change. And my cup has sticky stuff all over it. 👎🏾
Everything went downhill after they got their parking lot repaved. Like seriously, wth happened. I would take the potholes if I could get the old service back!
The parking lot itself is so bumpy, it's a headache to drive through. The food is always so good, fried stuff is always crispy and warm and the drinks and slushies are good too. However they are SO slow. if I order a single plain drink, it takes atleast 20 mins for me to actually receive it. And if you do pickup, it take like 15 mins for them to bring it out even if it's not busy.
After trying their Ultimate Meat and Cheese burrito about a month ago, I fell in love with it. My first experience at a different location was spectacular and I had been looking for a breakfast burrito that would replace the one that Jack in the Box got rid of last year. This location is near my work and convenient. However, they have ripped me off close to 6 times now. When I first got the burrito a month ago, it was dripping with cheese sauce. Not too much, but they definitely weren't holding back. Then I try it at this location and all but once, I have received a dry burrito. Even after I pay extra for more sauce. They STILL hardly put any on. In fact, out of 6 times, the burrito has been nearly dry. The last time I was there, I said something and the guy said he remembered my order and would make sure they put extra. They didn't! I mean, the extra cost isn't a lot, but it's the principle of the thing; they know I want more and pay more and they're too careless, lazy, or cheap to give what I ask for. How do they KEEP messing it up? Is their cook incompetent? Can't read? What's the problem? It's a very simple request. And it's ridiculous that I pay extra to get what I got with the standard burrito the first time without having to ask. Now, we're getting into dishonesty territory. They know I get my food on the go and I can't do anything about it in the moment. Why is it so damn hard to put extra cheese sauce on a burrito when it's been requested and paid for? I expect extra sauce especially if I have to pay extra for it and remind them about it. Get your act together! Or fire your cook and get a competent one!
Just stop by to get a drink and the staff were great. The franchise owner needs to take some pride in their business. The drive is missing most of its black top and has massive pot holes. Their building is in awful repair. I actually thought the location was closed until I saw people there. If the owner cares that little of the building then I know they don't treat their people or customers right.
I placed a mobile order at around 10:15 PM, and asked for my order to be ready for pickup at 10:25 p.m., so I had time to travel there from nearby. When I arrived, not only was the large, iconic Sonic sign not lit up, but none of the outside lights were lit up either and it looked like no one was inside because I didn't see any movement and there were no cars in the parking lot. It was very dark and seemed to be out of service or something. I sat in the dark parking lot in my car and began searching for other fast food drive-thrus nearby. After sitting in the parking lot for over 20 minutes, a car drove into a parking spot and left the vehicle running. For safety, I began driving on through the parking lot when someone from inside brought out an order to the newly arrived vehicle. I then pulled into a spot and entered the number into my app. Sure enough, they brought out my order, which was still warm from a heat lamp, thankfully. I was really pretty disgusted that the location was not lit up for business, causing safety issues for customers and employees. Also, I don't know why the employees were not in view inside or outside the business for the whole time I was there. I was frequently looking around, as it was dark and a bit scary in the lot. I figured I would have noticed activity through the windows of an open business.
I would trade back for the pothole parking lot if it meant we got Great "pothole era service" back too!!!
The order taker had to come outside to take our order since the speakers on most stalls were out. Our food came out quick. Our exit was perilous for the car with the huge potholes in every part of the parking lot, there's no way to avoid them they're EVERYWHERE. That's the only reason we won't be back soon. The one on clay rd gets every order wrong but the parking lot is safe unlike this one.
This location’s owners should be embarrassed. The state of this location is awful.. The lot concrete is full of chuck holes and completely awful. Cones everywhere. They’ve gone with the put a cone up solution instead of fix things. Half the stalls don’t work and the menu doesn’t have anywhere near the amount of options it used to. All of the small treats are almost $4. Good luck if you want to go here.
Just picked up sonic for lunch, I wish I could attach a picture, because the burger must of been sitting on heater for a while (I live 2 minutes away) because the lettuce was is already brown and the tomatoes were in worse shape. I know there's a pandemic going on as nd I understand there's sacrifices that need to be done. But am not paying any less for the same amount of food, is it to much to ask for it to be mildly fresh. No more sonic for me.
Just got an order from here and of course it was so messed up when I got home. I tried to order a double smash burger with no smash sauce and had to repeat it several times practically yelling No Sauce. I expected the order to be wrong when he delivered to my car and I looked at the ticket and saw double cheeseburger instead of smashburger. I said, well, not what I ordered, but I guess that is what I get and he just handed it to me and walked away. Sure glad I added that tip! After getting home I see it has every sauce imaginable on it, ketchup, mayonaise and I can't eat this mess. Not happy. Went back today...thought maybe it would be better after a month or so. Not that lucky. This time I just had to leave as no one could understand my order. Shouldn't be that hard to understand a number 1 with no smash sauce, but the board showed a chili dog. I give up on you guys. If you can't understand people, you need to send someone out to take their order in person or upgrade your system so people can understand. This is absolutely crazy.
Food was absolutely disgusting. Not 1 thing was good and wayyy over priced for legit crap. Cold hard smalllllll portions. Over charged me by adding drinks when I ordered combos. Service/atmosphere was fine.. its a car hop
******* WARNING ******** They have a long wait time before they ever get to you. Even though only two people are waiting They are rude on the microphone, but they talk really fast in an unknown accent and act as if you’re supposed to understand them. They do not understand the concept of be kind to your client. You have lost customer for life.
Showed up at the a busy time on a Sunday. 33 minutes order to car wait. Got back to baseball fields, order was wrong, 2nd burger had a hair in it.... called, drove back to location, order taker had no idea what I was talking about when trying to explain I was here to pickup replacement order. 20+ more minutes waiting to finally pay for the replacement burger that had a hair in it. Terrible experience. First time I’ve ever reviewed any establishment, I feel like a Karen… I don’t wanna be Karen. Do better next time. For someone else…
This place is usually our go to specially, after sports. Today I was double charged on STALL 14 after waiting for a while to even place my order. BUT since we come here a Lot we waited . My credit card and tip went through on the ordering monitor, but when Olin came to deliver our food she said it was not charged . I gave her my cc and when She came back i informed her it was already( after checking my account) her “I don’t care” attitude is what made me write this up. She said I’m sure it won’t be charged, as in just leave. She did not care to hear anything. There were 4 cars there, if she didn’t want to work or have any good customers service then just don’t work here . Let’s give the jobs to those who want it! I’ll be checking my cc to make sure I’m not charged twice since I have my bank card as well.
