It was an amazing experience, the food is incredible. The customer service is excellent. We have a honor to meet Mr. Shandy, he was neighborly explaining everything about the cousine. It worth swinging by here, I really recommend.
New location, same quality, that is: top notch and authentic. Even my friend from India loved it. Its rare that a small town like Camarillo has an authentic Indian restaurant.
This was my first time eating Indian food so I don’t have anything to compare it with. My buddy and I were in on a Saturday and although they were still closed the owner let us in earlier. This is a small restaurant with few tables but I really enjoyed the ambiance. Previous to the Curry Leaf we were up in Thousand Oaks in a place called Himalaya and we had to leave the place because of the way the place was decorated. The Curry Leaf is simple and all about the food. Staff was wonderful for us, timing was good and they were on top of things. The owner is a character. I was hoping he would’ve been a little more helpful with helping us to explain the menu to us so we could make a wise decision on what to order but that wasn’t the case. Either way he gave us good customer service and made us feel very welcome. Price was a little on the high end but was well worth the money. We were the first ones at this place but were almost the last ones to start eating. Place was really busy and I would say we waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. Once our food arrived the wait was well worth it. The bread, the lamb curry and the rice were delicious. Portions were filling and leave you satisfied. Overall I was really satisfied with this place and will definitely be coming back for more. Staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price Point ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just like the Indian food from back home in England. Amazing quality, great taste and fresh made to order naan breads! This is really authentic and the owner, Sandy, is a lovely character. Bowls, plates or A La Carte options.
Very happy to see The Curry Leaf back! I’m overall super satisfied that it is as delicious as I remembered years ago! Quick service with quality food that will have you full with your last bite!
Thanks Sandy for always making me feel welcome from OZ .. Always friendly staff, delicious selection of curries and dishes. Relaxed ambience. 10/10
I visited with my partner Ben and we both really enjoyed the food! It is amazing. We went in for lunch yesterday and their lunch menu has lots of options. We highly recommend it and we will be back soon! :)

So good. I was impressed and very satisfied with the flavors and prices.
The Curry Leaf in Camarillo is a gem of a restaurant that excels in every aspect. The flavors are vibrant and expertly balanced, making the food incredibly delicious and satisfying. The friendliness of the staff creates a welcoming environment and the service is both efficient and attentive. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Indian food or someone who’s curious to try it for the first time, even if you’re sensitive to spicy food, they offer an experience that will leave you eager to return. It’s a true five-star establishment that deserves high praise for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Thank you, Sandy!
This is hands down the best Indian food I've had! From the moment we entered, the service was outstanding—polite, fast, and friendly. The food was bursting with flavor. The paneer tikka was so tender, and the dal makhani was rich and creamy. The restaurant's ambiance was beautiful, with authentic touches that transported me straight to India. Definitely coming back!
Such nice people and amazing food. The man who served us gave us generous portions, and it was delicious. I had the saffron rice, mushrooms and potatoes, and a lentil dish. The Naan was fantastic, and he gave us some garlic cauliflower on the house. Awesome to have such a good Indian restaurant so close to home!
I recently dined at The Curry Leaf in Camarillo, and it was an absolute standout experience—one of the best Indian meals I've had anywhere. This cozy spot on Verdugo Way, run with genuine passion by owner Sandy, feels like a warm invitation into the heart of Indian cuisine. From the moment we arrived, Sandy greeted us with infectious enthusiasm and hospitality that made us feel like old friends. He's a wonderful host, chatting about the dishes, offering recommendations, and ensuring everything was perfect. His personal touch elevates the entire visit. We started with the appetizers, and wow—the garlic cauliflower (often called "Camarillo Crack" by locals) is a unique treat! Crispy, battered florets tossed in a garlicky, tangy sauce that's addictive and unlike any cauliflower dish I've tried. Paired with the Chicken 65, spicy, fiery fried chicken bites bursting with bold South Indian flavors, these were standout starters that set the tone for an unforgettable meal. But the real stars? The fresh naan is outstanding—pillowy soft, hot from the tandoor, with that perfect char and buttery finish. It arrives piping hot, and you'll find yourself tearing off pieces nonstop. We ordered garlic and plain varieties, and they were flawless for scooping up the mains. And the chicken tikka masala? World-class. Tender, charred chicken pieces swimming in a rich, creamy tomato sauce that's perfectly balanced—spicy yet smooth, aromatic with just the right blend of spices. It's the kind of dish that ruins other versions for you forever. The portions are generous, the ingredients fresh, and the rotating menu keeps things exciting. Whether you're a Indian food veteran or newcomer, The Curry Leaf nails authenticity with flair. Sandy and his team have created something special here—a must-visit for anyone in Ventura County craving top-tier Indian fare. I'll be back soon! Highly recommended—5 stars!
Wonderfully prepared food, with fair pricing. We get take out all the time and have not been left hungry, we sit down also and enjoy the quaint location. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options
Sandy is the man! Our family is so glad he reopened. The new location and take out format is really easy and low key. We always love whatever we order and have tried pretty much everything on the menu. The menu items rotate every so often so you get to try different things with authentic flavor. Service is always friendly. We are so thankful for some real, excellent Indian food back in town!
This place was so delicious!! Not to mention fast and amazing service. The staff were so kind and friendly they even made sure I had a scrumptious mango smoothie to take and try!! Very generous with the portions and prices are perfect! The garlic naan bread is a must try :)
The lunch special Chicken Curry was EXCELLENT! And Ramsey’s service was top notch, definitely will be back!
This place is a hidden GEM. I love Indian food, and this is some of the best I’ve had, hands down the best I’ve found in California.

Sadly, we've been disappointed with the reincarnated Curry Leaf. A for effort - great location, kind and helpful staff, reasonable prices and generous portions, very clean. But... dry and tasteless rice, stale Naan (was it microwaved?!?), gummy garlic cauliflower (we loved the garlic cauliflower at the old CL)...sigh. After two trips, we're going to wait before going back to try again.

My experience was extremely disappointing. The food quality fell far below acceptable standards, particularly when it came to the meat dishes. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and rogan josh. The meat was chewy and tough. They had a sign posted outside for help wanted in the kitchen which is probably the problem. The restaurant's ambiance and service were passable, but they couldn't compensate for the subpar cuisine. For a place that charges premium prices for their dishes, the food quality was inexcusable.
I had a very disappointing experience at The Curry Leaf. The curry was extremely watery and very bland. I also noticed the chef handling cash and then continuing to prepare food without washing hands, which was really concerning from a hygiene standpoint. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place.
Waited 1.5 hours to get mediocre food, not worth it.
