What a great find! The food at Twisted Oak Tavern was absolutely delicious. I had the brisket burger and it was spot-on… Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. I also discovered a new favorite beer called Liquid Candy (Tarantula Hill Brewery) and the name says it all… It was smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to enjoy (7.5ABV). The space itself is very clean and well maintained, with a modern, open layout that still manages to feel welcoming. The courtyard in the back is a standout. It gives off a cozy backyard BBQ vibe that makes you want to hang out a while. Service was great across the board very friendly, attentive, and fast. All around, Twisted Oak is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to when in town. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for great food, beer, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Got there as they opened, super friendly staff. Blood Mary was delicious, ol smokey burger was really good, fresh and home made fries. I’ll be going back for sure.
West Coast Cuban Sandwich was very delicious!!! Twisted Oak Tavern does NOT disappoint!!! Great food and Beers, cute and nice waitresses offer excellent service. I will be back for the excellent everything!!!
Elevated tavern set in a moody industrial space with tall ceilings and ample seating both inside and out. The menu covers the brewpub basics but then goes over the top with entrees like their Stout Braised Beef Short Rib. The dish of succulent beef was rich in flavor, fork tender and bathed in a savory gravy that complimented it perfectly. The grilled salmon salad made a strong showing as well. The tart balsamic glaze coupled with the creamy ricotta cheese made for a symphony of flavor worthy of acclaim. I would be remiss if I failed to mention their vast selection of local craft beer on tap and hearty list of custom cocktails. Whether you're in the mood for a burger and fries or braised beef short rib, the Twisted Oak Tavern is sure to please your palate.
Our 40 year reunion was here and the venue service food didn't disappoint. Staff was on point.
Absolutely a great spot! The food and drinks were the best I’ve had in a while. Everything was very fresh from the bar and kitchen. The service was truly 5 star!! . Very hospitable crew and clean establishment. Love this place! I’ll definitely be a regular.
We loved it. Ordered chicken bruschetta sandwich and soft pretzel. Dog friendly outdoor seating with heaters. We would eat here again.
Great food, service and atmosphere. This place has it all from great food and drinks. They have big screens to watch the games and an inviting front porch and back porch area. Twisted Oak has local craft beers, wine and spirits all in a historic building. It's in the heart of old Camarillo and us a step above the rest. Whether you are a local or a tourist the Twisted Oak is the place to be. They also have live music on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8, which always creates a great atmosphere time.
I’m officially hooked—these empanadas were beyond delicious! Beautifully plated, bursting with flavor, and totally addictive. Loved relaxing at the new high-top table out front. And can we talk about this gorgeous July weather in SoCal?! Pure bliss!
I was here tonight with a group celebrating an event and we had the Hogzilla, a pigs head cooked to tender perfection. I was told that it was the first time they prepared it at this location although it is a regular feature of their Agoura restaurant. One of our group who was familiar with the dish special ordered it for the occasion ! It was great !!! All of the other dishes and drinks we ordered were quite good as well ! The servers were polite and efficient and a good time was had by all !!! I'll certainly come back, and with the right group, I might order the Hogzilla again !!
Came here on Valentine’s Day and it was a great decision! Romantic ambience and candles all over. Excellent delicious food good drinks and fast attentive service. Will be back!

Food is amazing and so are the cocktails. It is a bit pricy but you do get what you pay for. Staff is friendly and helpful, they give out recommendations when it comes to food and drinks. So I try different things from the menu. Ambiance is wonderful especially from the outside. Fun place to stop by if you happen to be in Old Town Camarillo.
I had the Cuban with mixed greens with a balsamic dressing. The food was great. Our server was awesome. I particularly liked the On the Wagon specialty drink for dry January! I also love it that they have a non-alcoholic German beer called Bitburger. I always choose places to go based on whether or not they have non-alcoholic choices other than soda or tea! I always enjoy my visits to Twisted Oak Tavern and will continue to visit!
Absolutely fantastic food and beer. Tried the s'mores stout, epic! Probably the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had. Service was amazing, thank you Jonah, and prices were extremely reasonable. Definitely coming back without a doubt.
Good drinks, nice atmosphere, and food that is so good, my wife and I are already contemplating another 1.5 hour drive from home for another visit because there is still plenty to try on their menu! The braised short rib was amazing, and if you come in while it is still Oak-toberfest (Server Jonah made that joke and I thought it was perfect), you need to try the pork schnitzel with the mushroom gravy, it was spectacular.
Twisted Oak Tavern is an excellent place for both food and drinks, offering a unique mix of a restaurant and brewery. The menu has a wide variety of options, from creative appetizers to hearty main courses, and everything is well-prepared and flavorful. The craft beers brewed in-house are also a highlight, with plenty of choices to pair with your meal. The service is professional, friendly, and efficient. Staff are knowledgeable about the menu and always ready to recommend dishes or drinks that fit your taste.

Great food and excellent selection of local beer on tap. Julie provided us with truly excellent service too, on a busy night in December. Thanks!

When we ate Camarillo was pretty empty so we could just walk in and get a table. Nice looking place. Service was ok. The Diablo chicken spicy sandwich was excellent as were the fries. Drinks were strong.
Great food and cocktails. Had a live band playing in the restaurant, which made it a little uncomfortable to hear anything else. Has an outdoor patio are that looks great
This local place has a great vibe and service. Good for groups of adults or families. Food was ok but not the best we've ever had. Recommend- Saigon sliders, Waldorf salad, coconut shrimp, and fig flatbread Unfortunately the spinach dip tasted like nacho cheese
The wife and I wanted to give this place a try because we liked the options featured on the menu. As an early Valentines Day and Superbowl night, we headed here. The restaurant along with the bar, gives this place a GastroPub feel. Tonight, we tried the deviled eggs as an appetizer, the Sriracha ketchup and hash brown underneath gave an interesting crunch to go with the soft eggs (8 out of 10). The wife had the Peanut Butter and Jelley Burger. The blackberry jam balanced nicely with the burger and peanut butter. It was definitly unique, and would be orderd again. She recommended they use pulled pork instead of the burger patty, just like a familiar food truck in the area "Scratch" used to do (8 out of 10). I had the Mac n cheese Burger. They have an appetizer of Mac n cheese balls, I think what they did here was just use one of them to throw on top of the burger. I'd recommend they use breaded Mac n cheese as the bun. Nevertheless, the burger (cooked medium) was perfectly cooked, juicey, and delicious. I had the Sriracha ketchup on the side, as I don't like too much spice on things (7 out of 10). For dessert, we ordered the Crème brûlée and Donut bread pudding. Disappointed, the Crème brûlée sugar top was burned (someone got carried away with the torch). The inside had a soft creme, with vanilla bean flicks (4 out of 10). The donut pudding came a-la-mode, but was a bit dry, nor did it taste like a donut. It actually tasted like chocolate chip bread pudding instead (4 out of 10). Overall, the atmosphere is really nice. There are booths for the couples or families. There is the bar area for the singles or wind-downers. There is even an outside patio area in the back with strung lights, heat lamps and decorations. We'd recommend this place and will be visiting as a family in the near future (8 out of 10).

The food was just okay. We ordered the pork belly for an appetizer, and it was mushy, and whatever sauce they used was overpowering. The Buffalo cauliflower was a big win. Delicious! My friend got the Twisted Oak burger and that was pretty good. Meat was seasoned well and cooked perfectly (meduim). We also ordered the triple mushroom Flatbread. It was a little bland with so much potential. The service could have been better. My friend ordered a side of aioli and it never came. Everytime we tried to order something, he walked away before we were finished talking! Strange. Oh and we ordered 4oz beer flights...BEWARE! It's about $5 per 4oz sample. Never had a place charge by the sample. If you can get past the mediocre food and eh service, it has a nice ambiance inside and out.
