Great food, employees and atmosphere. A bit pricey, but worth the size of the plates
I have visited Adelita's more than three times which makes this review authentic. The service is great and the food selection is quite good. I enjoyed the combo plate a few times while my husband ordered their steak fajitas. Their homemade hot sauce is superb. The taco salad is small for the money and it is listed under appetizers so make note that it is just for one and should not be considered for the main dish. Enjoy!
I’ve ate from here 4 times since they opened and every last time the food has been ABSOLUTELY amazing. The waiters/waitresses are amazing they make sure your order is perfect and that you are enjoying your meals. Will definitely be ordering from here again
To be fair! I asked for the Mole sauce on the side. So the dish doesn't present as well as it tasted! Beans and rice were good and felt authentic. LOVED THE ATMOSPHERE HERE! And the service was excellent! Maggie was professional and I assume this is the start of what will be an amazing career for this young woman. The food was so good I ordered some fish tacos! They were a bit salty but were good! Definitely a must if you haven't been here.
Went out for dinner with my boyfriend and we were seated immediately as we walked in. The booths are really comfortable and leave enough room for you to get in and out without having to squeeze but also close enough so you don’t risk getting food in your lap. Once we placed our order with our server, who was really nice by the way, everything started coming out to the table at once. First the drinks and with the chips and salsa . Then the beans/rice/guacamole/salad plate with the fresh tortillas. And next, right on time, the Molcajete. It was incredibly tasty and was enough to fill up both myself and my boyfriend. The service was also really fast with the waitress quickly assisting when we requested more utensils or napkins. She consistently checked up on our drinks. They was also another lady who helped by keeping our table clear throughout the whole experience. In total, it took about 45 minutes from walking in to finishing our food. We will definitely be going back!
Food was so wonderful I ordered Loco Burrito and after 5 minutes it was at my table I was shocked how fast and ready they had it. I could only eat half of it because it was so filling. It wasn’t loud which was great employees and customers was very polite I highly recommended going there if you craven Mexican food.
I've eaten here twice for lunch. Both times were very good, and my food came out quickly. Chips and Salsa were served while I waited for my entree. The 1st time I had a Taco Salad, 2nd time, the Adelita Burrito. The portions sizes were large and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely bring my wife here for dinner soon.
One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Our meal was fantastic. The staff were amazing and efficient. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed the entire experience. My only concern was how was I going to try all the different items on the menu. I can say the chips and salsa were fantastic and the fact that the chips were warm and the salsa was served in a carafe was very nice. My Mojito was fantastic and not too expensive. Our dinner was great. My flan for dessert was the best I ever had. Truly authentic. You will not be disappointed if you come here for a meal.
This is a really good Mexican restaurant. Food was good. Margaritas were delicious. Place was very clean and service was fast. Price was reasonable. The atmosphere was fun. Huge bar in the center of the restaurant. Update: Stopped in with my wife again. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as when they first opened. I got the chicken fajitas and the chicken was dry and old. Like shoe leather. The server didn't follow up until my wife had finished her dinner. They replaced it but I got it to go. The service was better last time. I'll give them another chance but I can't imagine sending that aweful dried out chicken out to a guest.
My girlfriends had heard about Adelita's and suggested we meet there for dinner. We were greeted and were seated promptly. Our server, Raena, introduced herself and took our drink order and asked if we wanted chips and salsa. She brought our drinks and took our order. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos with beef, Michele ordered the Quesadilla and Elizabeth a Burrito. All orders came with rice and beans. Food was served hot and was plentiful. We were all pleased with our selections. Prices very reasonable. All wait staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go there again. Not to be missed.
A Good Time! This Mexican restaurant was very good. I spent 7 years in Los Angeles and deeply appreciate it! The atmosphere was festive, service outstanding and my food was delicious. The free chips were fresh as well as the salsa. In fact they keep them coming ( we had multiple bowls). My pastor burrito was delicious. The pork was tasty and just the right amount of melted cheese. But what made it outstanding was the California touch of pineapple in it.It gave it a little sweetness. The Diablo shrimp had tasty shrimp though the sauce was not very hot. I loved my rice( very moist) It’s worth the time!
This place is definitely my favorite sit down Mexican in Syracuse. Ordered the Queso Fundido and Street Corn for an appetizer. The queso was 5 out of 5 fantastic. Street Corn wasn’t my favorite but still pretty good. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos which were probably the best I ever had. Very plentiful with fresh, delicious beef. The rice was also surprisingly very good. Ordered several Margaritas which were all good. Will be back!
We went on a Friday night and it was packed. We sat at the bar and service was a little slow but friendly. The menu had a wide variety. It’s not our favorite Mexican restaurant but we’d go again if we wanted to go to the suburbs for a meal. We typically prefer smaller, more urban restaurants with a diverse crowd. The cocktails were delicious and the food came pretty quickly.
When you walk in, there is great art and decorations all over, and it creates a great vibe. I loved seeing all the different pictures on the walls. We came at dinner time on Saturday, and after a brief wait, we were seated. The place was full, which was great to see for a new place. We started off with the stuffed jalapeños, which were tasty, and they had a great sauce on top of them. For my main course, I had the Cali Burrito with steak. It was a little dry with the french fires in it, so I dumped the salsa on it, which worked out well! My only issue was with the drinks, but we did not get them until the main course came out. The house margarita was good though. Also, my dad ordered chicken enchiladas, but he was given cheese enchiladas. Nonetheless, I would still recommend giving it a visit!
Let me start by saying that I lived in Phoenix AZ for 29 years, so I consider myself to be a "Sonoran Mexican" food connoisseur. I found the food at Adelita's to be bland; I was offered some habenero sauce to add to the food, but it's not the same as having the food cooked in spices. The pinto beans and rice had no spices cooked in them at all. The street tacos were pretty good, except that the shrimp were very small, so that there wasn't much shrimp flavor coming through. But I do have to say that the flan was the BEST I've had in a restaurant - it was just like what my mom made when I was growing up . . Eggy, rich, and firm, with a delicious burnt sugar sauce. Also, the wait staff was excellent: Elizabeth was very helpful and attentive, and one of the bussers helped my husband (with dementia) back to our table after using the men's restroom. The place is nicely decorated, and the booths are comfortable. This would be the place to go for typical "gringo" Mexican food in central NY.
It's always surprising when similar restaurants are found clustered close to each other in a neighborhood. This is the case for the newly opened Adelitas Mexican restaurant on West Genesee in Camillus. It's located right across the street from Moe's Southwestern Grill, and less than a mile from Azteca Mexican Grill (one of my family's favorite and most frequented restaurants) at the corner of Milton and Hinsdale. Perhaps the management of the new Rochester chain restaurant felt that there was already a market for Mexican food in the area and that they could come in and blow the other two restaurants out of the water. That's going to be hard because Azteca serves very good food at a price that is less expensive by perhaps a third. Our meal at this new restaurant started when our server delivered complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice fresh taste, but it was so thin that it was difficult to keep on the chip and off your shirt. My wife and I ordered a chili relleno to share as an appetizer. It was the highlight of the meal. The coating on the pepper was delicious and the cheese inside was like ricotta. For a main course, I had the chili verde. The sauce was very good, but the chunks of pork we're tough, indicating that the meat had not been cooked long enough to reach the desired fall-apart stage. As for the sides, I enjoyed the refried beans, but passed on the rice. My wife ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The chicken was tender and the corn tortilla had a nice vibrant corn flavor, but the mole sauce was weak. The brownie sundae we had for dessert was good. We will return to try other menu items, but will order two chile rellenos next time. UPDATE-1: Returned to try more selections off the menu. I ordered a combo meal with two chile relleno and two sides of refried beans. Delicious. My wife ordered a trio of enchiladas including cheese, chicken mole, and beef. I had a taste of the beef enchilada and it was excellent. The flan, recommended by the waiter, proved to be a very tasty dessert, and the portion was more than enough for two to share. UPDATE-2: Our third visit was a disappointment. The chili relleno had a soggy coating, the cheese was not melted, and the pepper was filled with numerous hard seeds. Decreased our rating from 5 to 3 stars.
Place looked nice and staff was good, but food left a lot to be desired. Chili Pablano breading was awful and the thickly sliced cheese was never melted. burrito was ok. Probably will not be back. It’s a shame. It had good potential.
Ive been to this place twice because I give every restaurant a second chance Both times I came to the realization that their food was mediocre at best Both times I got the Loca Chimichanga as I know I like the same foods elsewhere and know its typically hard for a kitchen to mess up The chicken in the chimiganga was alright, though not worth the price. It tasted like something a white suburban mother would make using a packet from Walmart The red and white sauce were alright though lacking in any real flavor The green sauce was great the first time but the second time had a disgustingly overpowering taste of cilantro. I love cilantro but it tasted like they used 4 or 5 times too much The rice is completely unseasoned, im not sure how they got it orange because there is absolutely no flavor to them The beans were disgusting, extremely watery and with no flavor I would not feed them to a prisoner. I also tried their Mole sauce from a family member and while I've only had Mole once or twice it was definitely the worst I've had Ive been reviewing for some time and this is one of very few bad reviews Check my profile I almost always give 5 stars. This place failed
The food was average. What we didn’t like was the fact that we couldn’t get separate checks even though we had in the past. Our group of 13 seniors go to restaurants every Thursday. The only ones we don’t return to are those who won’t give separate checks. This is only the 3rd restaurant we've encountered with this problem. They finally agreed to put 3 people on 1 check. One group was charged for lemons that several people put in their water. They included a 20% tip which would have been fine if the amount was correct. A person paying by card never got a receipt. We will not be back.
